Farmer Wants a Wife is gearing up to (hopefully) bring us a well-deserved love story for 2025. The four Farmers who will be leading that charge have been confirmed, and it’s time for us to meet them!
Eight farmers were shortlisted in July 2024 to be the leads for the upcoming season, and applicants were encouraged to apply for the one they liked the look of.
Now, the final lineup of 2025 Farmers has been announced—and Corey, Tom, Thomas, and Jarrad will search for a farm wife on the wholesome reality show.
Find out more about the Farmer Wants A Wife Farmers below.
Farmer Jarrad
Farmer Jarrad. Image: Seven.
Farmer Jarrad is 21 years old and describes himself as a “goofy creative”. He lives on a sheep farm outside of Stanthorpe, Queensland.
“I’ll also send you crazy from singing too much,” he says. (I’ve watched his intro reel and can confirm he has a fantastic voice!)
Farmer Thomas
Farmer Thomas. Image: Seven.
Farmer Thomas is a 35-year-old “hardworking and driven farmer” living on a wheat, lentil and barley farm in Kimba, South Australia. He is the oldest of the Farmer Wants A Wife farmers in our 2025 crop.
He’s a whopping 6’4 in height and is looking for someone who is “kind, caring and honest” with their own passions.
Farmer Corey
Farmer Corey. Image: Seven.
Farmer Corey is a 24-year-old working on a beans, hay and cotton farm in Biloela, Queensland. What’s he looking for?
“I’d like to have a partner who is kind and giving and able to enjoy the simple life, the farm and the way we live. I want a team player and a best mate to take on life with.”
Farmer Tom
Farmer Tom. Image: Seven.
Farmer Tom is a 31-year-old sheep farmer from Borambola, New South Wales. He’s keen to find a wife to share his life on the farm with.
Farmer Tom loves Taylor Swift (music) because he’s only human. He’d love to find “someone who looks for positives instead of negatives”.
Friendly reminder: Farmer Wants A WifeAustralia has created 10 marriages and 27 kids (!!!) since it started airing. It’s a much better success rate than Married At First Sight and Love Island, right?
Farmer Wants a Wife 2025 will air after Easter on Channel 7 and 7plus.
Paul Antoine was the very first Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 groom to be announced, and we’re unsurprised that he’s a recognisable face.
While ex-The Bachelor contestant Sierah Swepstone was one of the MAFS 2025 brides, she isn’t the only one who’s dipped her toes in a dating reality show before.
Yep, Paul — who was on reality TV just two years ago — is one of MAFS 2025 grooms.
Paul Antoine on Married At First Sight 2025. Image: Nine.
What reality show has Paul Antoine been on before?
Paul starred on The Real Love Boat Australia in 2022. The short-lived show was basically Love Island on a boat.
Paul was one of 21 singles who tried to find love with the help of host Darren McMullen, cruise director Hannah Ferrier, head of entertainment Daniel Doody and captain Paolo Arrigo.
Unfortunately (or fortunately?), Paul’s quest for love was about as successful as the show itself, which has since been axed.
Paul is a fitness coach living in Perth. However, he is originally from France and moved to Australia 11 years ago.
When he was on The Real Love Boat Australia, he was hoping to find someone down-to-earth and was a fan of long chats — so we can only assume that’s what he’s looking for this time around, too.
Who is MAFS’ Paul Antoine?
According to Paul’s Channel 9 bio, he’s a hopeless romantic, who’s gone through the small dating pool in Perth.
He’s had two long-term relationships in the past and is ready to find his forever love. Paul said that person would ideally be a woman with European flair, with a smile that lights up the room.
Who is Paul Antoine matched with on MAFS 2025?
Paul’s MAFS bride is fashion influencer and aspiring actress Carina Mirabile. She’s also no stranger to the silver screen, with an acting career that includes roles in two short films and appearances in several commercials.
When they first got TV hitched, Carina wasn’t exactly over the moon. As luck would have it, the two had already dated before the show but, after a hiking date, Paul ghosted her. So, not exactly the best start.
Despite that little hiccup, it seems like the couple has managed to move on, and their relationship has only gotten stronger since.
Paul Antoine and Carina Mirabile on MAFS 2025. Image: Nine
When asked about all the MAFS drama unfolding, Carina told us she hasn’t been keeping up because she’s too busy spending time with Paul and the rest of the cast.
“To be fair, my phone is going off, and I’m just enjoying life with Paul and all the rest of the cast that are my friends,” she said.
Life with Paul, you say? Could this be third time lucky for the TV vet? Guess we’ll have to wait and see!
Married At First Sight 2025 airs Sundays at 7pm and Monday – Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
If that name doesn’t ring a bell for you, then maybe you’ll remember her as the self-professed “tall, horny bogan” from Jimmy Nicholson‘s season.
Here’s everything to know about Sierah.
An icon. Image: Ten.
Sierah Swepstone is the first ex-Bachelor contestant on MAFS
While there always seems to be reality TV crossovers — like MAFS 2024’s Ben Walters apparently being approached for The Bachelors and Janelle Han choosing MAFS 2023 instead of receiving roses — this will actually be the first time an ex-contestant has appeared on the MAFS social experiment.
And if it was going to be anyone, we’re low-key excited it’s Sierah. Her exit from Jimmy’s 2021 season of The Bachelor was iconic.
Remember when she told all of Australia that she “definitely had chlamydia”? We’re all for a woman of honesty who doesn’t give two shits about the judgement.
Apparently, Sierah was poached by MAFS producers
Bring it on! Image: Ten.
Daily Mail Australia reported that Sierah was poached by MAFS producers. An insider told the publication, “She is a nutter but amazing for television because she just doesn’t care.”
Honestly, it was a shame that she was on Jimmy’s season (because it had one of the worst ratings in television history). However, it’s good she’ll be making her return on a show people actually care to watch.
Sierah will be joining fellow reality TV personality Paul Antoine from The Real Love Boat, who’s already been married off to his ex-fling Carina Mirabile.
Alongside them is a wave of actor hopefuls, including Ryan Donnelly, and former Neighbours actor turned businessman Jeff Gobbels.
We can smell their new followers from here.
Married At First Sight 2025 airs Sundays at 7:30pm and Monday – Wednesday at 7pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
Rachel Gunn — AKA Raygun — is reportedly in the sights ofI’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! producers following her viral breakdancing routine at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
According to New Idea magazine, the 36-year-old has been deemed “the ideal campmate” by unnamed producers of the hit TV show. On top of that, two of the I’m a CelebrityAustralia 2025 cast clues strongly suggest that the Olympian will be heading to South Africa.
I’m a Celebrity hosts Robert Irwin and Julia Morris. Image: Ten.
In the past, the show has had the likes of Bernard Tomic, Abbie Chatfield, Domenica Calarco, Brendan Fevola, Callum Hole and many more in the campsite.
Is Raygun going to be on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here?
Although Raygun hasn’t officially been confirmed to join the I’m A Celebrity Australia 2025 cast yet, there is some compelling evidence supporting the idea.
In December 2025, the first cast clue was posted on the I’m a Celebrity Instagram account, revealing that an Olympian was entering the jungle.
“A headline-grabbing Olympian has a ticket to the African wilds. They love freestyle; will the Jungle break them?” the narrator said in the clip.
Then, in mid-January 2025, a second clue was published, which further indicated that Raygun was the celeb in question.
The bonus clue shared three emojis representing the mystery Olympian: a kangaroo, a croissant, and a cap.
Of course, Raygun famously imitated a Kangaroo during her routine at the Paris Olympics, during which she wore a cap. It doesn’t exactly take a rocket scientist to connect the emojis to the controversial breakdancer.
Furthermore, back in August 2024, New Idea magazine reported that the I’m a Celebrity producers were in talks with Raygun about joining the show.
“The public will want to hear her story in the jungle. Love her or loathe her, she has everyone talking,” the source told the publication.
Raygun made a video cameo at the 2024 Logies in August, where she encouraged the industry to whip out some of her moves to celebrate the night.
Raygun surprised the TV industry with an appearance at the Logies. Image: Seven.
“It’s these viral moments and water-cooler conversations that IAC [I’m a Celebrity] will want to capitalise on,” the source said.
How did Raygun become famous?
Raygun has been the topic of the internet since she performed at the Paris 2024 Olympics, busting out the sprinkler and some kangaroo-esque moves that baffled the audience.
In August, Raygun was referenced on The Jimmy Fallon Show and at an Adele concert that same month, truly proving that she got the world talking (and smiling).
While not everyone was supportive of Raygun making it to the Olympics—where she was awarded zero points—it’s likely that people are keen to hear more about her story.
Perhaps we will in the jungle?
I’m a Celebrity Australia… Get Me Out Of Here Australia 2025 will premiere on January 19 on Channel 10 and 10Play.
The White Lotus Season 3 is taking us to a luxurious trip to Thailand, but like previous seasons, not everything will be sunshine and rainbows.
The new trailer for The White Lotus Season 3 has dropped and it is pure and utter chaos. From scenes of boozy nights out, to a body bag getting wheeled out, the new instalment will be nothing short of dramatic.
Ahead of the drop, let’s dive into everything we know so far about The White Lotus Season 3.
White Lotus Season 3 cast, Carrie Coon, Michelle Monaghan, and Leslie Bibb. Image: HBO.
What is The White LotusSeason 3 release date?
The third season of the enthralling series will be available to stream from February 17 on BINGE.
Is there a White Lotus Season 3 trailer?
There is! The first full-length trailer dropped on January 28. Watch it for yourself below.
Who is in The White Lotus cast for Season 3?
We now have the confirmed cast for The White Lotus season 3, featuring Season 1’s Natasha Rothwell, the spa manager who was taken for a ride by Jennifer Coolidge‘s character, Tanya McQuoid.
The cast for season 3 also includes Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Walton Goggins, Sarah Catherine Hook, Jason Isaacs, Lalisa Manobal, Michelle Monaghan, Sam Nivola, Lek Patravadi, Parker Posey, Natasha Rothwell, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Tayme Thapthimthong, and Aimee Lou Wood.
Additional cast includes Nicholas Duvernay, Arnas Fedaravičius, Christian Friedel, Scott Glenn, Dom Hetrakul, Julian Kostov, Charlotte Le Bon, Morgana O’Reilly, and Shalini Peiris.
Walton has gone ahead and done God’s work for White Lotus fans by sharing a bunch of behind-the-scenes photos of the Season 3 cast. The carousels include photos of cast members Michelle, Carrie and Leslie.
In Season 2, fan favourite and the only returning character, Tanya, was seemingly killed off. Will we see her return from the dead, or perhaps a long-lost twin sister will come in to take her place? Fingers crossed for a Coolidge resurrection, but HBO has been keeping mum if she’s returning.
However, with the release of the full trailer and no Tanya in sight, things don’t look promising.
What is The White Lotus Season 3 filmed?
Jason Isaacs, Parker Posey, Patrick Shwarzenegger, Sarah Catherine Hook, and Sam Nivola. Image: HBO.
After vacationing in Maui in Season 1 and Sicily in Season 2, HBO revealed in a statement that Season 3 will take us to the stunning setting of Thailand. Filming locations include Bangkok, Koh Samui and Phuket.
What hotel is The White Lotus filmed at?
The first two seasons were shot at Four Seasons resorts in Hawaii and Italy, and Season 3 followed the trend.
While there are Four Seasons resorts in both Bangkok and Koh Samui, Bloomberg reported in early 2024 that The White Lotus Season 3 would be filmed at the Koh Samui location.
AFAR has also reported that Phuket’s Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas will feature in Season 3 scenes.
What can we expect from The White LotusSeason 3?
Lalisa Manobal and Tayme Thapthimthong. Image: HBO
In a press release, we got a vague synopsis for this season, “The social satire is set at an exclusive Thai resort and follows the exploits of various guests and employees over the span of a week.”
If the past two seasons are anything to judge this season off, we know it will be a very dramatic week for the guests.
During an episode of the Unpacking explainer series, White said, “The first season kind of highlighted money, and then the second season is sex.
“I think the third season would be maybe a satirical and funny look at death and Eastern religion – and spirituality. It feels like it could be a rich tapestry to do another round at White Lotus.”
The show has absolutely cleaned up at awards shows in recent years. In total, the series has been nominated for more than 80 awards, winning 38, including two Golden Globes and 10 Emmy awards.
Is there a Season 4?
Yes, there will be a Season 4 of The White Lotus.
The next season has already been confirmed on the show’s Instagram, but they have kept the details very threadbare.
“Good news travels fast. #TheWhiteLotus is excited to welcome you to a new destination,” the Instagram caption read.
The official Aussie Shore cast, trailer and release date have dropped to get us all very, very excited for this undeniably bonkers show.
Callum Hole was the first announced member of the new Aussie Shore cast (so consider us fans of the show already) and now 10 more names have been added to the mix.
Aussie Shore is basically Geordie Shore down under and it will have the one and only Charlotte Crosby at the helm.
Keep reading for everything we know about the Aussie Shore cast so far.
What has Charlotte Crosby said about Aussie Shore?
Charlotte has teased viewers about the wild shenanigans that will happen on Aussie Shore. The former Geordie Shore star called the show the “ultimate Australian party adventure” and gave viewers a sneak peek into what to expect from the series.
Charlotte gave Kyle and Jackie O a taste of what we can expect from the Aussie Shore cast earlier this year and it all sounds very spicy.
Confirming that none of the Aussie Shore cast knew each other before filming began, Charlotte said this new generation “are pushing boundaries” that we didn’t even know existed.
Meet your Aussie Shore cast! Image: Paramount+
The Aussie shore cast include Callum (more on him below), Kyle, Lexie, Tom, Lily, Cooper, Catia, Con, Jaeda, Manaaki and Nardos.
Earlier this year rumours circled that Callum would be returning for Love Island 2024 off the back of his I’m A Celeb success, put perhaps Paramount beat Nine to the punch?
“A huge addition to an already incredible cast! AUSSIE SHORE IS GUNNA BLOW EVERYONES MINDS,” Charlotte wrote on the Callum announcement post.
What’s Charlotte Crosby’s role on Aussie Shore?
Charlotte’s 12-year run on Geordie Shore makes her perfect for the role of House Boss on Aussie Shore.
Earlier this year, Charlotte confirmed to Kyle and Jackie O that she was filming the upcoming show but that the cast were all around a decade younger than her.
Living rooms around the nation were surprised when The Voice Australia 2024 contestant Mol Turner whipped out powerful vocals that no one was prepared for.
On the August 26 episode of The Voice, 17-year-old Mol chose Britney Spears‘ iconic track Toxic — but with one very big death metal twist.
Sporting a shaggy blonde mullet, heavy eye makeup and chained jeans, Mol slowly built up to the chorus with an eerier and edgier take on the early noughties tune.
As she hit the chorus, well, The Voice coach LeAnn Rimes‘ reaction says it all:
The Voice coach Kate Miller-Heidke turned around for Mol, who is from the South Coast in New South Wales, meaning the teenager will now be on the Australian musician’s team.
What is Australia saying about Mol Turner’s audition?
With the show primarily showcasing mainstream genres and producing pop artists, Mol’s performance was surprising in a way that Australian audiences are loving.
While some viewers didn’t love the performance and are entitled to that opinion, the response is overwhelmingly positive.
“So good to finally see someone singing screamo,” someone commented on The Voice Instagram, noting that her “growl” was fire.
“An impressive death metal take on ‘Toxic’ that was so entertaining, she has quite an impressive vocal range — I think she will surprise us with what else she is capable of doing,” someone wrote to The Voice Australia Facebook.
Mol’s take on this song is definitely a welcome change. Even people who don’t neccesarily like death metal or screamo as a genre could still appreciate that she nailed it.
“Couldn’t think of anything more painful than listening to Death Metal but that was a fantastic performance and you can only appreciate the talent behind it,” one person wrote.
“Love it or hate it but that was amazing well done Mol !!!!. I loved every second!” wrote another.
“Not my cup of tea, but the girl has raw power. Glad she has the chance to perform on stage. All talents should be showcased,” an Instagram commenter added.
We can’t wait to see what Mol performs next!
The Voice Australia airs on Sundays at 7pm and Monday – Tuesday at 7:30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
It Ends With Us just hit cinemas but there’s one sequel-shaped question on everyone’s lips: will we get a movie adaptation for It Starts With Us — Colleen Hoover‘s follow up novel to It Ends With Us?
Mentions of It Starts With Us have definitely been happening on the red carpets for the It Ends With Us movie but, as of right now, it hasn’t officially been green lit. In fact, it’s looking murkier than ever considering all the supposed beef between leads Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni.
So what is Colleen and the It Ends With Us crew saying about the sequel? Here’s what you missed while trying to dissect the rumoured It Ends With Us drama.
Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni in It Ends With Us. Image: Sony
Does It Ends With Us have a sequel?
Colleen’s It Ends With Us book has a sequel called It Starts With Us.
While It Ends With Us follows the story of Lily Bloom trying to navigate a relationship that becomes abusive, It Starts With Us picks up where the last novel ended and focuses on Lily’s relationship with Atlas. (I’d go into further detail, but I don’t want to invite any spoiler backlash!)
The It Ends With Us book was released in 2016 and It Starts With Us came out in 2022.
It Starts With Us was released in 2022. Image: Simon & Schuster.
Justin, It Ends With Us director and lead actor, optioned the first novel back in 2019 — before It Starts With Us was even published.
Will there be an It Starts With Us movie?
A sequel is an obvious decision based on the huge box office success of It Ends With Us.
While in early August it appeared that no one had secured the rights for the It Starts With Us movie, The Hollywood Reporter is now reporting that Justin and Wayfarer Studios do have the rights for the sequel film.
If there was to be an It Ends With Us sequel off the back of the film’s success, it would be an obvious decision to keep the original cast including Blake as Lily, Justin as Ryle Kincaid, Brandon Sklenaras Atlas Corrigan and Jenny Slate as Alyssa Kincaid.
That being said, there have definitely been sequels that have deviated from the original casting (albeit usually awful).
But even if Justin was no longer in the role of Ryle or as the film director, a sequel involving Blake would mean the pair would still need to work together in some capacity. Because of this, there have been doubts over whether or not the film will go ahead.
What has Justin Baldoni said about an It Ends With Us Sequel?
Justin told Entertainment Tonight that he believes someone else should direct the sequel.
“I think that there are better people for that one,” he said. “I think Blake Lively’s ready to direct, that’s what I think.”
When asked whether or not he’d spoken to Colleen or Blake about a sequel, Justin admitted that he hadn’t.
“I haven’t. I have no idea what that story would be,” Baldoni told TV Insider at a press junket, noting that he’s trying to stay in the present.
“I’m just kind of doing my best to take this all in because it’s been five years to even get us here. So I can’t even fathom another story yet, but I’m so happy that fans love it and that she did it.”
What has Colleen Hover said about an It Starts With Us movie?
Author Colleen has definitely entertained the idea of a movie sequel.
“I think whoever decides to take charge of the next one would do it justice,” she told ET.
“I think they’re all in it for the right reasons, so I think that will be exciting. But it’s a lot of people to get the same schedules together again, so we’ll see.”
In regards to Blake coming on as director, the author said she’d “absolutely” be into that.
Considering It Ends With Us is all anyone’s talking about right now — and considering a lot of people want to see more of Atlas — we think a sequel could definitely be on the cards.
The It Ends With Us drama has been dominating our algorithms for the past fortnight, moving from a rumoured rift between Blake Livelyand Justin Baldoni to an all-out public scrutiny of Blake’s promotional run. Now, costar Brandon Sklenar has addressed the criticism.
Taking to Instagram this week, Brandon released an online statement to discuss for “vilifying the women of this cast” is “counterproductive” to the film’s message.
Why are people criticising Blake Lively?
This month, Blake has been gradually dragged online for interviews, including one where she tells the audience to “wear their florals” for a film about domestic violence.
Old interviews have also been surfacing including one where she is rude to an interviewer and one where she makes a transphobic slur.
In one interview, the interviewer asks how those who personally resonate with It Ends With Us‘ themes can go about discussing it with Blake, to which she jokes about sharing her location or address alongside Brandon, who plays love interest Atlas Corrigan in It Ends With Us.
What did Brandon Sklenar’s statement say?
“I wanted to take a minute and address all this stuff swirling online,” 34-year-old Brandon wrote in an image uploaded to his Instagram account.
“The women of this cast stand for hope, perseverance, and for women choosing a better life for themselves,” he continued.
“Vilifying the women who put so much of their heart and soul into making this film because they believe so strongly in its message seems counterproductive and detracts from what this film is about.”
For weeks, rumours have been circling of creative differences between Blake, who plays lead actress Lily Bloom in It Ends With Us, and Justin, the director and also the lead actor playing the role of Ryle Kincaid.
When he was asked about an It Starts With Us movie — the It Ends With Us sequel — Justin suggested Blake as director.
“What may or may not have happened behind the scenes does not and hopefully should not detract from what our intentions were in making this film,” Brandon said.

“It’s been disheartening to see the amount of negativity being projected online.”
He called for people to stop spreading hate online and to remind themselves of the core message of the film.
“This movie is a harsh reality check for the men who need to get their shit together and take responsibility for themselves and their actions,” he wrote.

“Ultimately it’s meant to spread love and awareness. It is not meant to once again, make the women the ‘bad guy,’ let’s move beyond that together.”
Home and Away fans are praising the soap for the “powerful” portrayal of grief by actor Ethan Browne (Tane) on the show’s August 19 episode.
In the emotional scene, Tane mourns the loss of Felicity (played by Jaqui Purvis) following her shock death while performing the Haka.
Perri, played by Cantona Stewart, watches on in concern and heartbreak as Tane grieves Felicity.
Home and Away fans have been quick to share their thoughts on the episode, praising the scene along with Ethan’s acting and the inclusion of Maori culture.
Home and Away hair and makeup designer Laura Vazquez wrote, “So powerful, so beautiful. Felt every emotion in this scene,” on an Instagram post sharing the scene.
“Absolutely love that the Maori culture and traditions has been brought into the show. Such a beautiful culture,” another comment read.
“Finishing with the Haka was a perfect ending to the episode. And done with such pure emotion,” said another.
“Couldn’t stop crying watching this,” a commenter added.
Tane and Felicity on Home and Away. Image: Seven.
Felicity collapsed at Cash and Eden’s engagement party during the August 12 episode. Felicity and Tane split late last year after Tane discovered she had been taking birth control pills behind his back.
At the engagement party, Felicity and Tane danced, flirted and instilled hope in viewers at home who have been rooting for their relationship. She then got blurred vision and collapsed before being taken to hospital.
The doctor declared she had suffered a brain aneurysm and she was eventually taken off life support on the August 19 episode.
When Home and Away producerLucy Addario said we’d need tissues for this unexpected death, she wasn’t messing about.
Home and Away airs Monday – Thursday at 7:30pm on Channel 7 and 7Plus.

The Office star Felicity Ward looks so fun in this lime-green number. Honestly, after all the black and couture, it’s so welcome! Obsessed with the pointed Nine West heels to top it off.
The Voice 2024 is set to premiere this August with Guy Sebastian, Kate Miller-Heidke, Adam Lambert and LeAnn Rimes leading the charge as coaches for the new season.
Apparently there’s one celebrity coach that got a little overexcited this season though, with fellow The Voice judge Kate labelling them as “trigger happy” with that big red button.
Adam Lambert was “trigger happy” on The Voice 2024
“Adam was super trigger happy,” Kate revealed in an exclusive interview with Chattr, explaining that he chewed up most of his singer positions within the first half of the blind auditions.
Image: The VoiceImage: The Voice
“He turned around for for so many people very early on in the filming and then he found himself with one spot left for, like the second half of the blinds,” Kate explained.
“He got a bit overexcited.”
On The Voice, four judges have traditionally gotten to choose 12 singers each. If they turn around for a contestant who chooses to be on their team in return, it means that one of their 12 positions have been filled.
What type of artists did Kate Miller-Heidke press the buzzer for?
Kate explained to Chattr that she turned around for moments that really struck her.
“You’re just listening to hear that one magic moment,” Kate explained to Chattr. “It’s such a cliche, but that magic moment in a song that gives you goosebumps or surprises you in some way.”
Image: The Voice
“Sometimes it’s really it can be hard to tell because a lot of people are struggling with nerves. It’s a deeply nerve-wracking experience to get up on that stage and you’re just waiting to hear that that kernel of something amazing.”
Kate met Adam and LeAnn for the first time on The Voice 2024
Kate revealed to Chattr that it was her first time meeting both LeAnn and Adam, the latter of which became one of her “favourite” people.
“They were both so lovely,” Kate explained of meeting Adam and LeAnn for the first time on The Voice.
“Leanne shot to superstardom when she was only 12 years old,” Kate recalled.
Image: Supplied.
“She’s lived her entire life as a very famous person, but she’s still an artist to her core. She still takes the art and craft of singing really seriously and she’s so good at what she does.”
“And Adam, he’s lightning in a bottle. He’s just brilliant. He and I were sitting next to each other for the whole season, so we got to hang out and chat a lot.
“He is just one of my favourite people. He’s so funny and irreverent and kooky. He’s brilliant.”
Why did this just become the friendship we never knew we needed? Cute as hell.
The Voice airs on 7 and 7Plus from Monday, August 19.
FBoy Island 2024 has landed and no one’s happier than me to see a big burning dick on the sand to kick off the Season 2 recaps.
burn motherfucker
This season we have three new leading ladies tasked with figuring out if the men vying for their love are FBoys or Nice Guys.
Choose wrong and they’ll be rorted out of the prize money.
this is fine
First we have Nicole, a model who is asking the bare minimum from a man: to be heard and not just seen.
see me hear me love me!
Krystal (who you remember from The Bachelors) is on the hunt for a “mid” — AKA a six of out 10 — because they’re fabulous at licking pussy.
where is the lie
Ally, our final leading lady, has dated “devil dick” — AKA Vernon Lyon from FBoy Island Season 1. She doesn’t even need to say his name.
I was younger then
Our host and saviour Abbie Chatfield is ready to introduce the ladies to the men of FBoy Island, but first they must finish the last leg of the 14-km City2Surf.
see you in 25 hours
First the boys are introduced to Nicole and it is immediately obvious that they have smelt model (and perfect underboob) because they cannot control their dick energy of varying sizes.
arooga
Next up is Krystal. She has placed second in City2Surf at two hours and 12 minutes, only to see a familiar face from the Gold Coast.
omg is that the rando from Sin City
However, the guy she may or may not have rooted at Toolies isn’t the one she’s got her eyes set on. While she’s adamant about a mid who bothers to find the clit, she has instead chosen “the hot one”.
It is I, ‘The Hot One’
No, she literally called him that, in order to clarify that she’s not talking about this guy.
I lick pussy better than The Hot One tho
Ally places third for City2Surf, finishing at two hours and 19 minutes. She also has her eyes on The Hot One.
this should end well
The ladies and the men then head back to their respective villas where it becomes apparent that Frank has been declared as an FBoy by literally everyone.
Why? He was handsy with Krystal and… as for the guys? I think they just reckon he’s a toss.
Meanwhile, The Hot One has decided he likes Nicole the best.
The Hot Ones must stick together
Back at the women’s HQ, Abbie is getting to know the ladies better.
Ally confirms dirty dog Vernon dropped the L-word on her before going on a bender and blocking her.
that second bag will do it
Ally’s revenge? Implying to all of Australia he has a small dick.
that checks out
Krystal opens up about being the child of an FBoy. Her father cheated on her mum while she was pregnant with Krystal and now she feels like she has a responsibility to stop the chain.
We love Krystal and this is a powerful story. FBoys think their behaviour is funny but it actually can be really fucking traumatic. OK?
“My Fboy radar? Unmatched,” Krystal says.
not counting Felix Van Hofe
The bonfire
Once Jerome (the one who wears Crocs) shares that likes “licking ass” and “eating ass” (just like Flume), the FBoy Island crew head to a bonfire.
Cue Love Island montage
Krystal confirms she may have “sucked” off that guy from the Gold Coast but does not confirm if it was on Cavill Ave. Her memory is really failing her for someone who writes FBoy reminders in her notebook.
So far we know that the guy who wore a leather jacket on an island called her the wrong name and the guy who was on The Amazing Race isn’t sure if he wants to give up the single life.
We also know that everyone’s obsessed with Nicole, even though we all know she is going to choose The Hot One.
as per my last email, I would like to be heard
Sadly The Hot One is also The Dense One because he tells a woman wearing a full face of makeup that she’s a “natural beauty”.
lol this is makeup
Nicole reminds him of the makeup she is wearing, while looking at him with the same eyes lined with eyeliner and shaded with glitter.
“Doesn’t look like it,” he responds. Does this man think we came out of the womb looking like Mila Kunis in her Black Swan era?
you’re telling me those diamantes under your eyes aren’t permanent?
Someone open their TikTok and show this man a GRWM.
Thankfully another man named Nick takes over and he knows the word “intrinsic” so please, do not be fooled by his earlier peck pumping.
I brought my thesaurus
Krystal, who was once on The Bachelors, has taken a liking to Paddy, who was once on The Bachelorette.
“Paddy, he isn’t the hottest,” Krystal says and my heart breaks from him watching this back right now.
which means you’ll be fab at going down
Krystal can sense an anaconda in those pants so she gives him a pash with so much tongue it requires a KFC wet clean up towel.
slurp
“I love how you played with my tongue,” he tells her and I may just vomit on my television screen.
da fuq u just say
In other areas of the party, a man with tatoos decides to dry-root Nicole’s foot and Frank is trying to convince Krystal he’s a nice guy because his ex slept with his mate behind his back.
That doesn’t make you a nice guy, it just means you have fucked friends.
nice try
It’s time to choose who the ladies will be taking on their first dates.
Nicole chooses Jack (the man who can both use big words and pop his pecks), Krystal chooses Frank (to try and determine his FBoy status once and for all) and Ally goes for The Hot One (The Christian Who Has Sex Before Marriage AKA The Man Who Thinks Women Were Born With Eyeliner).
you lack common sense but as long as you fuck before nuptials we’re good
The first dates
Ally is wet. She’s dickmatised by The Hot One’s past four-year relationship and ability to talk nicely about his ex.
a man who doesn’t talk shit about his ex? Rare find!!!
Then he slips his tongue in like the good Christian boy he is.
forgive me father for I have sinned
Meanwhile, Krystal is embracing her inner Cavill Ave by sharing a vodka cruiser with Frank after making him run around a sunflower garden naked.
we love preemptive revenge
Nicole and Jack jetski, talk about how much they like each other and then slip their tongues in both on dry land and in the sea.
we are so intrinsic rn bby
We finish off our dates portion of the episode by Ally finding out that The Hot One liked Nicole first and would like to still get to know her considering he’s known Ally a full three minutes.
But she was born with eye glitter!
Ally cries.
The elimination
The girls have taken to their directors chairs for their first FBoy Island elimination.
A bunch of people we hardly know are up for elimination, plus Frank, that foot fucker, The Hot One (!!!) and that Jake dude who you recognise from The Amazing Race. Sadly The Amazing Race dude already left (probably to go on another reality TV show).
enjoy Love Is Blind
Only the foot fucker and Jin leave. Jin is the one who told Nicole she was stunning. Sorry, that didn’t narrow it down, did it?
This is Jin
Jin and his slutty ankles are an Fboy but the dry foot fucker is a Nice Guy!
I’ll never dry root a foot again
One down, many to go. I’ll be writing FBoy Island Season 2 recaps the entire season so I’ll see you here next Monday but until then, you can follow me on Instagram.
FBoy IslandAustralia is coming back for Season Two and finally we’ve got the deets we’ve been waiting for — a trailer, release date and even our leading ladies.
Keep reading for everything we know so far about FBOY Island Season Two, including a familiar face as part of the leading ladies, one hell of a packed trailer, where the show’s filmed and more.
Here’s everything we know about FBoy Island Australia 2024.
Is there an FBoy Island Season Two trailer?
Sure is! And let me tell you, FBoy Island Season Two looks like it will D-E-L-I-V-E-R. Do I spy Abbie Chatfieldtelling someone off? Do I spy a Bachie contestant (more on that below)? Keen!!!
The official trailer follows a few teases we’ve copped this month, including one where Abbie asks why Limbro is open.
(For the uninitiated, Limbro is where naughty FBOYs are sent to repent after they’re eliminated.)
Could Abbie asking “Who left it open?” mean that some of the FBoysfrom Season One are returning in Season Two? Could VernonLyon be back for another round?
The FBoys and Nice Guys for Season Two have just been announced and they include some reality TV alumni! See the FBoy Island men, including one block from Bachelor In Paradise and one from Amazing Race Australia.
will be made up of just yet. There’s a decent taste of what we’re in for thanks to the trailer above, though. I don’t think they’re going to disappoint.
Who are FBoy Island Australia’s leading ladies?
Australia, meet Krystal Thomas, Ally Woodfall and Nicole Mitrov.
From left to right: Ally Woodfall, Krystal Thomas, Nicole Mitrov. Image: BINGE.
Krystal has experience navigating FBoys — you might remember her as a The Bachelors contestant where she dated Felix Van Hofe.
Nicole is a model and Ally is Vernon‘s ex.
Who will host FBOY Island Season Two?
Abbie will return as host of FBoy Island Australia after nailing the job for Season One.
Literally the best host choice for this show. Image: BINGE.
Not only has she been on a reality dating show before as runner-up for Matt Agnew‘s The Bachelor season, but she also knows when to call out people for being shitty.
In Abbie we trust.
What can we expect from FBOY Island Season Two?
Host Abbie explained that while fans can expect drama again this season, the sophomore season will be different from the first.
FBOY Island Season Two’s leading ladies with host Abbie. Image: BINGE.
“This season is as drama-filled but in really different ways,” Chatfield told Daily Telegraph earlier this year.
“The stories along the way are way more complex and I think the three leading women did such an amazing job at supporting each other, really doing detective work and being steadfast.
“They had some hard conversations with each other along the way as well, which I think is what real friendship is all about.”
The official FBOY Island Season Two release date is August 5, 2024. Pencil it in! It will air every Monday for nine weeks.
Which FBOY Island Season One couples are still together?
In Season One, Molly O’Halloran, Ziara Rae and Sophie Blackley attempted to navigate their way through the FBOYs and find true love.
FBOY Island leads and their final picks. Image: BINGE.
Molly and Ziara both snagged “nice guys” in Nick Brownand Izaya Leotarespectively. And they’re still with their chosen picks!
Meanwhile, Sophie chose Joshy Allen, even though he was revealed to be an FBoy. They split up shortly after.
How to watch FBoy Island Australia
FBOY Island Australia streams exclusively on streaming service BINGE from August 5. You can watch everyone episode of Season One now.
Where is FBoy Island Australia filmed?
Sadly (or gladly?) there is no actual FBoy Island on Google Maps. FBoy Island Australia is filmed in a place called Casaurina which is 150km south to south east of Brisbane.
Amazon Prime Video’s The Boys is getting a prequel spinoff called Vought Rising which is great news for fans who were bummed about Season 5 ending.
The Boys spinoff was announced during a panel presentation at San Diego Comic-Con. Supernatural‘s Jensen Ackles (Soldier Boy) and Aya Cash (Stormfront) will feature in the new prequel series.
Here’s everything we know so far about the upcoming The Boys spinoff, Vought Rising.
What is The Boys spinoff Vought Rising about?
Vought Rising is “a twisted murder mystery about the origins of Vought in the 1950s”, according to the official The Boys Instagram page.
“Vought Rising may or may not feature the very first Herogasm, founded in 1952,” the post added about The Boys spinoff.
For the uninitiated, Herogasm is a yearly festival where superheroes engage in a bunch of sexual activity. A selling point for the new spinoff if I ever did hear one!
Vought Rising will also follow “the early exploits of Soldier Boy, and the diabolical manoeuvres of a ‘Supe’ known to fans as Stormfront, who was then going by the name Clara Vought”, according to executive producers Eric Kripke and Paul Grellong‘s statement (shared by news.com.au).
“We cannot wait to blow your minds and trouble your souls with this salacious, grisly saga drenched in blood and Compound V.”
This will be the third The Boys spinoff.
The Boys Season 5 will be the last
During the San Diego Comic-Con panel, it was also revealed that Jensen will play a major role in The Boys Season 5 and that a relationship between Soldier Boy and Homelander will be further explored.
The Boys Season 4 premiered in June 2024 and it was recently confirmed that Season 5 would be its last.
Just before the highly anticipated premiere of Season 4 in June, Eric Kripke (the mastermind behind the show), announced that Season 5 would be the final season.
“SEE YOU FOR OUR FINAL SEASON, MOTHERF***ERS!” the tweet read.
“From the very beginning, I wanted to wrap it out around season five,” Kripke told The Hollywood Reporter.
“And then I would say plans really solidified that we were going to actually do it years ago.
“It might have been because I was trained as a TV writer and there were five acts,” he added.
“It gives you enough time to get to know the characters… It’s about the characters and then you kick off into a climax.”
End of an era! At least now we have The Boys spinoff to look forward to, huh?
Harry Garside has shared a heartfelt message on social media after missing out on the gold medal he was gunning for at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Overnight Australian time, Harry was eliminated in the first round of the men’s 63.5kg class. He won a bronze medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic games and had been hoping to score a gold in Paris.
In a post-match interview that personally broke my heart watching at home, Harry apologised to his home country and revealed that times ahead will be tough for him.
Harry Garside’s disappointment over his Paris 2024 Olympics outcome
“It is crazy… two decades dedicated to one dream and it is over just like that,” Harry told Nine.
“Australia is such a sporting nation and I’m so sorry. Honestly, I feel like a failure right now … I don’t even know what to say,” he added.
“Deep down inside I fear for what the next couple of months look like for myself. I’m sure there’ll be some dark times. I’ve just got to prepare for that now.”
Harry’s heartfelt realisation
Harry has taken to social media following his Olympics outcome to share how he’s feeling after some time to process and we’re glad to see him looking a bit more optimistic.
Sharing that he’s been “beating himself up for a couple of hours” over the events before coming to a “realisation”.
“I had this realisation that I wanted a two-decade journey to try and get that gold medal. And yes, I didn’t get that gold medal but I became my own friend in that journey,” Harry reflected.
Harry continued to explain that his self-worth was low at the beginning of the journey and now he feels like he has the relationship with himself to manage his inner-critic.
“Over the last three years, I really worked hard and trying to build my self-worth and trying to grow and evolve and be kind to myself more often. In that, I don’t get success, but I’d rather be my friend and have no success.”
Harry then got emotional as he went on to share his hopes of becoming a dad one day.
“Being a dad and not passing on negative things to my kids is really important to me. So I’m really happy that the two-decade journey wasn’t for nothing,” Harry finished.
Absolutely sensational human that the whole of Australia is cheering on right now, gold medal or not.
You can watch the Paris 2024 Olympics on 9 and 9Now. Harry Garside also appeared on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2023 which you can watch on 10Play.
According to Herald Sun, Janet died peacefully on Friday with her daughters, Sarah and Eloise, by her side.
Janet also played Reb Keane in Prisoner: Cell Block H, and more recently appeared in Safe Home on SBS and the Logie-nominated Paramount+ drama Fake starring Asher Keddie.
Neighbours costars share tributes for Janet Andrewartha
In the social media post announcing Janet’s passing, Neighbours cast memberJackie Woodburne (who plays Susan Kennedy) remembered Janet as “an extraordinary woman” who she will miss.
“Janet was one of the finest actors of her generation, but more than that, she was an extraordinary woman,” Jackie said in the Neighbours post.
“Passionate, political, curious, delightfully eccentric, generous and fun. To me she was a steadfast friend for over 45 years. I will miss her every day.”
Stefan Dennis (who plays Paul Robinson) commented on the post to echo Jackie’s words.
“So very upset to lose the lovely Janet,” Stefan wrote. “As Jackie said, she truly was an exceptional actress who was a pleasure work with and to be around. We will all miss you dear girl.”
Lyn Scully once married Paul Robinson on the beloved soap. Image: Channel Ten.
Lucinda Cowden (who plays Melanie Pearson), remembered Janet’s impact in her role as Reb Keane in Prisoner: Cell Block H.
“I remember when I first saw her on Prisoner … she lit up the screen, and continued to grace us with her exceptional talent in so many interesting and unique characters,” Lucinda wrote. “Vale Janet.”
Holly Vallance (who played Felicity Scully, the daughter of Lyn) shared her heartbreak on X (formerly known as Twitter).
Deeply sad losing Janet Andrewartha. She was a superb human being who taught me so much from the age of 15. I'll treasure her last trip to the UK forever. Precious memories I'm so grateful for. “Precious memories I’m so grateful for. A beautiful, talented, hilarious & kind woman.
“I’m so glad it was you who played my Mum. You were the real deal. Made us feel safe. And looked after us when we were all so young in the industry. It was an honour to work beside you and call you a friend.”
Carla Bonner (who played Steph Scully, Lyn’s daughter) shared an image of a candle overnight to her Instagram Stories saying, “I will miss you forever.”

Our thoughts go out to everyone affected by Janet’s passing.
“It’s very recent and very unexpected. I’m super happy. It’s really lovely.”
This is huge news for Home and Away fans as the rumours of the pair’s romance first started swirling in May after photos of Ada and James kissing emerged.
It was following the April announcement of Ada’s split from Adam Rigby. Ada and Adam were together for eight years.
James, 48, finalised his divorce from former Home And Away star Sarah Roberts in March. The pair were together for five years.
Were Ada and James together while shooting their wedding scene?
Ada and James play husband and wife on Home and Away as their characters Leah Patterson and Justin Morgan. In fact, the pair filmed wedding scenes for the soap last year and the episode itself aired in April.
Prior to Ada’s confirmation of their relationship, The Sunday Telegraph reported that she was spotted kissing James at a Seven Network Christmas party last year.
That being said, Ada shut down any rumours that she was involved with James during shooting.
“There weren’t genuine feelings then,” Ada explained.
The couple’s characters got married earlier this year. Image: Seven.
“It was shot last year. But I think whenever you’re watching any TV couple, you’re always wondering if they really do have feelings.
“We’ve always respected each other. We’ve known each other since [1998 soap opera] Breakers. Jimmy is an amazing actor,” she added.
“I’ve loved working with him for five years and I think our scenes are great. I always like going to work — we push ourselves, and push each other, in a really good way.”
As someone who’s watched Ada’s character, Leah, lose Vinnie (Ryan Kwanten) all those years ago, I’m happy for her. And for Ada too!
Remember when Jayden Eynaud told Eden Harperduring Married At First Sight’s confessions week that he slept with his ex’s best friend while she watched? It was truly shocking television in every sense of the word.
The shock quickly turned to confusion when a woman claiming to be Jayden’s ex-girlfriend told PEDESTRIAN.TV that his confession was a lie, though. Why — WHY — would you lie about something like… that?
It’s something that still baffles Jayden’s TV bride Eden, who admitted to Chattr that she found out it was a lie “during MAFS airing” like everyone else.
That’s a lot of months to be kept in the dark. Keep reading to see what Eden had to say about Jayden’s confession lie.
Jayden told Eden he slept with his ex’s best friend after finding out she cheated on him. Image: Nine.
How did Eden feel when Jayden told her that confession?
Even though it seemed like Jayden’s confession was quickly forgotten about by viewers, Eden revealed that the whole thing really changed things for the relationship.
“When I first experienced the confession letter in real life, I had only known Jayden a few weeks,” Eden told Chattr.
“It was hard at the time as I really liked him. Prior to finding out I trusted him 100 per cent and but that trust was completely shattered,” she continued.
“It made me question and overthink everything he ever said from that day on.
“So as much as I did make the choice to forgive him, the trust was subconsciously broken and I wouldn’t have been the best version of myself in the relationship from then on.”
How did Eden feel watching Australia’s reaction to Jayden’s confession?
Eden says that having to watch the confession on television was difficult, especially because of how much their relationship had grown outside the experiment in that time.
“Reliving the story all over again when it aired was really hard for me as by that point I’d been with the guy for seven-to-eight months and was completely in love.
“It was tough seeing everyone’s opinions and they way people spoke about him online.”
Eden was upset when she found out Jayden’s MAFS confession. Image: Nine.
How did Eden find out Jayden’s confession was a lie?
While Australia found out about the lie within 24 hours of the episode airing, Eden thought it was true for months — up until Jayden himself admitted it was false.
“The day after it aired, his ex-girlfriend had come out and claimed the story was false,” Eden recalled.
“After that, he did admit to me that it didn’t happen.
“It made me really angry to be honest — angry at him for putting me through that and putting his ex through that and for sharing it on national television.
“It honestly made me so angry that if I wanted to be with him, I really had to choose to forgive him for it and never bring it up again, which is the choice I made.”
Eden and Jayden announced their breakup in April 2024. Image: Nine.
She’s a stronger woman than me! Jayden and Eden announced their break up just after MAFS 2024 stopped airing.
As for why Jayden would make up a story that doesn’t necessarily make him look great of national (and later international) television, Eden hinted she’d probably never know.
“It baffles me to this day why anyone would make that up,” she explained to Chattr.
“I couldn’t get a straight answer from him as to why, just lots of different reasons and blaming other people which didn’t make any sense.”
House of the Dragon has once again shocked its viewers with confronting footage and this time it’s kept it in the family with an incest scene. Yes, you read that right.
Although it’s a storyline we’ve seen before in the Game of Thrones universe and George R.R Martin‘s work in general, viewers of the hit show have some thoughts about the latest House of the Dragon incest scene where a character imagined having sex with his mother.
— edgar allan’s hoe 🐦⬛🔮 (@NightOwlNikk) July 15, 2024
While it’s almost expected from the same show that shocked viewers with a confronting blowjob scene earlier this month, I can understand the confused reaction from the general public when it comes to the House of the Dragon incest scene in question.
Whether you’re a regular viewer of House of the Dragon or not, one thing’s for sure: this scene is so uncomfortable to watch (which you can do below at your own risk):
I just watch finished watching house of the dragon episode 5 and this scene of Daemon having sexs with his mother is so cringe, disgusting and absolutely unnecessary. These shows are taking this incest thing to another level like what was even the aim?? 🤮🤬 pic.twitter.com/fnGxk8U1Ft
What happens in the incest scene with Daemon’s mother?
The footage shows Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith) having a very sensual dream about his mother, Alyssa Targaryen (Emeline Lambert).
“Daemon, you were always the strong one. The finest swordsman. The fearless dragon rider,” Alyssa tells her son as he… goes down on her.
Keep your head where I can see it! Image: House of the Dragon.
At one point, she says, “If only you’d been born first, my favourite son.”
This was the first appearance viewers have seen of Daemon’s mother as she passed away during childbirth complications.
For the uninitiated, Daemon is also married to his own niece Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy). In this House of the Dragon episode, the visions he has of his mother are sent by witch Alys Rivers (Gayle Rankin) to wig him out.
One person questioned the point of the scene including Daemon’s mother, labelling it as “so cringe, disgusting and absolutely unnecessary” on X, formerly known as Twitter.

Shannen was well known for her roles in Charmed, Beverly Hills, 90210, Heathers, Mallrats and more.
Shannen’s publicist confirmed the tragic news to PEOPLE overnight.

Shannen Doherty’s publicist confirmed the news
“It is with a heavy heart that I confirm the passing of actress Shannen Doherty,” Shannen’s longtime publicist, Leslie Sloane, confirmed in an exclusive statement to PEOPLE.
“On Saturday, July 13, she lost her battle with cancer after many years of fighting the disease.
“The devoted daughter, sister, aunt and friend was surrounded by her loved ones as well as her dog, Bowie.
“The family asks for their privacy at this time so they can grieve in peace,” the statement continued.
Costars mourn Shannen Doherty’s death
Shannen’s costars and friends have been taking to social media to grieve following the news of her death.
Rose McGowan, who starred in Charmed following Shannen’s departure from the hit show, remembered her friend as a “soft-hearted badass” with the “heart of a lion”.
Jennie Garth starred in Beverly Hills, 90210 with Shannen, both in the original version of the series and the 90210 reboot which started airing in 2008.
“I am still processing my tremendous grief over the loss of my long-time friend Shannen, the woman I have often described as one of the strongest people I have ever known,” Jennie wrote alongside photos of the pair from their early Beverly Hills, 90210 days.
Shenae Grimes-Beech, who played Annie Wilson in the 90210 reboot alongside Shannen, shared her tribute on Instagram Reels.
“To the icon, the legend, the take-no-sh!t WARRIOR of a woman, Shannen Doherty… thank you for inspiring me in more ways than I can bring myself to put into words right now,” Shenae wrote alongside a video she posted to Instagram.
“You paved the way and it was an absolute privilege and honour to follow in your footsteps.”
Watch her full video and read what she had to say about Shannen’s inspiration in the post below.
Tori Spelling wrote “I don’t have outward words yet… but we KNEW and that’s what matters” to her Instagram Stories alongside a selfie of her and Shannen.

Shannen Doherty cause of death
Shannen was diagnosed with breast cancer almost a decade ago. She confirmed the news in August 2015 when she was aged 44.
“Yes, I have breast cancer, and I am currently undergoing treatment,” the actress said in a statement to PEOPLE at the time.
Two years later Shannen went into remission but announced in 2020 that the cancer had returned as Stage 4. It was made public in court documents that her cancer was terminal, as reported by TODAY.
Shannen underwent brain surgery in 2023 following the cancer metastasising to her bones and brain.
Shannen had been open and honest about her condition in her ‘Let’s Be Clear’ podcast, sharing that earlier treatment protocols were no longer working.
Our thoughts are with Shannen’s family and friends during this incredibly difficult time.
The Married At First Sight 2024 drama is still in full force with Sara Mesa and Lauren Dunn calling out MAFS groom Tim Calwell for his latest Instagram Reel.
But now the rest of the MAFS cast have gotten involved, as they do, and the word ‘drama’ just doesn’t cut it.
Keep reading to catch up on everything from start to finish.
What did Tim post on Instagram?
Tim shared a video to his 111,000 Instagram followers which featured Tim doing activities with his new girlfriend, Barbara Griebeler, attending a few appointments and showing a car with a sign reading, “WARNING! 100% BITCH”.
“This car reminds me of someone,” Tim’s voiceover said.
Sara, who was fake-married to Tim during the experiment, took to Instagram Stories to express her frustration.
What Sara said about Tim’s reel
“If my partner put a video of us doing cute things together on the internet for the world to see and then subliminally took a dig at his ex-girlfriend, I would be livid. Livid,” Sara said in her Instagram Stories.

“I hope that she’s still okay that you mentioned me in there, regardless of whether it’s calling me ‘100% Bitch’. Don’t you think that it’s time to move on and give her that respect as well?” Sara asked.
Sara also suggested that there was a side of Tim not shown on MAFS Season 11.
“That reel that you made including me is giving insecure and that is the man that you showed to me the whole time on the show. And I really wish that people could have seen that side.”
What Lauren had to say about Tim’s reel
Sara’s MAFS bestie, Lauren, also entered the chat in her own Q&A on Instagram Stories.
Lauren entered the chat to call Tim out for using the word “Bitch”. Source: @lauren_funn_
“Do these men not get it? We just don’t call women bitches in 2024,” Lauren said.
“The men in our season, they just weren’t it. They just don’t understand society and what’s acceptable and what’s not acceptable,” she continued.
“Just a lack of intelligence and I can’t argue with stupid people.”
Lauren also noted that she was sent the video because she doesn’t follow Tim.
What Tim had to say about his reel
Speaking to Yahoo Lifestyle!, Tim said that he didn’t mention anyone specifically.
“I didn’t actually mention anyone at all! It seems like everyone is projecting their own thoughts onto my reel,” he told Yahoo Lifestyle!
“I like talking about my life experiences, regardless of if that chapter in my life is closed. MAFS is certainly a unique experience and I’ll likely keep sharing mine.”
What the MAFS cast are saying about the post
When the account @sodramaticpodcast_ posted Sara’s Instagram Story on their own page, fellow MAFS 2024 cast member Eden Harper entered the chat.
The video moment the cast are talking about. Image: @timcalwell
“So Sara can call Cass [Allen] a c****, Lauren call Jono [McCullough] a snake, dog, c*** (to name a few),” Eden wrote in the comments section.
“But that’s funny and lighthearted… It’s only unacceptable and wrong when Tim does it? The double standards are laughable.”
MAFS intruder Michael Felix added, “Louder for the people in the back” and Jono wrote, “Double standard queens.”
When asked by Chattr what her thoughts are about Sara and Lauren calling out Tim’s behaviour, she made it clear that what Tim said was “inappropriate”.
“I don’t think there was any malicious intent from Tim, but it’s definitely important for him to understand that using that kind of language is inappropriate and can be really damaging,” Eden told Chattr.
“However, I also believe that Lauren and Sara need to take some accountability for the name calling, insults, and bullying behaviour that they constantly demonstrate themselves.”
What do Lauren and Sara think about their cast’s comments?
In response to the “double standards” claims of her cast mates, Sara argued that “two wrongs don’t make a right”.
“Just because I did wrong doesn’t mean that Tim gets a hall pass for alluding to calling me a bitch,” Sara told Chattr.
“I apologised to Cassandra,” Sara added, in response to calling her the C word.
“That is the only time I use vulgar language to someone. And I would never do that publicly on the internet for the world to see.”
Lauren responded to the comments from her MAFS cast mates in a follow-up video on Instagram.
“I was the queen of the insult. I understand that. The purpose of what we’re talking about is men with a platform perpetuating language that is violent to women.”
MAFS continue to deliver lessons in what’s acceptable even without them all on our screens, no John Aiken required.
As with many celebrities you see and hear about, Will Ferrell is not actually the Stepbrothers actor’s real name.
In fact, Ferrell rarely gets addressed by his real name and would get “so embarrassed” if it was ever brought up.
In celebration of Anchorman‘s 20th anniversary, Ferrel joined his costar Christina Applegate and Jamie-Lynn Sigler (Big Sky) on their MeSsy podcast, where he discussed his legal name.
“It wasn’t my choice,” Will said on his legal name. Image: FOX Searchlight
What is Will Ferrell’s real name?
Ferrell’s legal name is John William Ferrell.
Discussing his youth with Applegate, Ferrell mentioned that he was able to make friends easily thanks to “being funny”.
However, he mentioned that the start of every school year could be quite embarrassing for him thanks to his real name rearing its head.
“This is a minor thing in terms of — it’s not really even trauma — but I remember feeling so embarrassed because my real name is John, John William Ferrell, so first day of school, I’d be John,” Ferrel recalled on the podcast.
“The teacher would be like ‘John Ferrell?’ and it was so embarrassing to me to have to say ‘Here, but I go by Will, I don’t go by John.’ “
Does Ferrell ever use his real first name?
Ferrell noted it took a while for his teachers to remember that he actually went by Will and not John, which was “excruciating”.
He also explained that kids at school would ask about his name after hearing him correct the teachers.
“I don’t know why that was so embarrassing to me to have to explain ‘I’m actually Will’,” he said.
“My parents named [me] John but they called me Will. I grew up as Will, but on a rule sheet, my legal name is John Ferrell.”
Ferrell told Applegate that he doesn’t like his legal name because it wasn’t his “choice”.
To be fair, I know a few people who’ve gone by their middle name their whole lives.
If you’re keen to love some lamp after reading this, you can watch Anchorman on Stan.
If you think that Cam from Modern Family — Eric Stonestreet — is likely the loveliest person in the world, podcast host Taylor Strecker‘s firsthand opinion of the actor is here to shake things up.
During an episode of Amazon Live’s In Bed With Paige DeSorbo (if you don’t listen to her Giggly Squad podcast with Hannah Berner, you should), Strecker did not hold back on her experience with the Modern Family star.
Well, this should be interesting! Image: Modern Family
“Who’s the worst guest you’ve ever had on your podcast?” DeSorbo asked Strecker, who is the host of the Taste of Taylor podcast.
Unfazed, Strecker dropped Stonestreet’s name like the hot tea it is.
“He’s [Cameron Tucker] from Modern Family, and he’s like the chubby, jolly, sweet, funny one,” Strecker clarified when DeSorbo didn’t recognise the name.
“Could he be anything but… nasty!”
Strecker explained she quickly learned he was on her podcast to promote none other than Pepto-Bismol.
For the uninitiated, Pepto-Bismol is an anti-diarrhoea medication that’s a staple in American households but not available in Australia.
“So we’re chatting away, and I’m being my adorable self, and then he hits me with, ‘So when are we gonna talk about Pepto-Bismol?’”
Trying to roll with it, Strecker joked, “I have hemorrhoids. I’m the queen of diarrhea. I love Pepto-Bismol! We can talk about whatever you want.”
That was when she explained that things got a little sassy, if you will.
“And he said to me — and I quote — ‘Somebody didn’t do their homework.,” Strecker recalled.
As someone who interviews people in media regularly, that’s a pretty rough thing to hear.
“I said, ‘I’m sorry. Am I getting paid by Pepto-Bismol? No. So that’s your job to figure out, not mine.”
You know when people are relaying a story and it’s unclear if they actually said that thing or just thought it in response? I really hope she said that to him for the popcorn value alone.
It’s understood that the podcast appearance was likely around the time of his 2011 partnership with Pepto-Bismol for a Feeding America campaign.
I’d love to know the thoughts of whoever was the Pepto-Bismol publicist at the time. You know what they say? There are 17 sides to every story.
Esteemed US comedian Chelsea Handler told The Project host Sam Taunton exactly how she felt about the Margot Robbie pregnancy joke he made and it wasn’t pretty.
Rumours quickly spread yesterday that Robbie and her partner, Tom Ackerley, were expecting their first child after paparazzi shots of the actress sporting an exposed stomach surfaced.
As Australia’s golden girl, it’s no surprise that Robbie’s reported pregnancy with Ackerley was a topic of conversation on the entertainment news program, The Project.
What was the Margot Robbie pregnancy joke?
“I’ve seen the Barbie movie by the way,” Taunton said. “It’s going to have to be a C-section.”
The joke didn’t immediately land with his cohosts, who started asking what he meant.
Later in The Project episode, which aired Monday, June 8, Handler joined the desk to promote her upcoming comedy tour titled ‘Little Big Bitch’.
“Before you get started, I want to touch on your Barbie joke,” Handler told Taunton.
“How can you even make a joke like that when you know a comedian is coming on the show? That’s humiliating for both of us,” she roasted him.
“It was a really bad joke. I felt so bad for you.”
Obviously aware of the cringe-worthy joke, Taunton told Handler that he was hoping it would never be brought up again.
“I had to,” Handler replied.
Sarah Harris and Tunny looked visibly uncomfortable as the exchange was happening, but also like they were low-key loving it. Who doesn’t love a good roast of their mate?
While it was definitely a case of two comedians joking with one another, it’s got to hurt to be schooled by someone so iconic on national television!
Handler’s tour kicks off in Melbourne Tuesday, July 9, and will also stop in Brisbane and Sydney. Buy tickets here.
If you’re looking for a chance at love with your very own farmer than we have some good news for you — Farmer Wants A Wife 2025 is taking applications. Right now! Keep reading for how to apply.

Farmer Want A Wife 2025: How to apply

“Many Aussie farmers have found love through Farmer Wants a Wife Australia,” reads the application page via casting company MyCastingNet.

What does the Farmer Wants A Wife Application involve?
Farmer Wants A Wife applications require three photographs, including a headshot, a full-length shot and a photo where you’re holding the day’s date. I guess that last one helps rule out catfishing?

MasterChef Australia 2024 has been a j-o-u-r-n-e-y, and now that we’re finally at the tail end of the season, we can confirm when the finale will air.
Throughout the season we’ve had impressive celebrity appearances, like Jamie Oliver and Curtis Stone, as well as some seriously drool-worthy dishes.
While this season’s been nothing short of spectacular, like all good things, it must come to an end.
When is the MasterChef Australia 2024 finale on?
With just five contestants remaining, next week will see the competition enter Finals Week.
As per usual, the remaining Home Cooks will be whittled down until just three two are left to battle it out in the season’s final episode.
Channel 10 has confirmed to Chattr that this season’s MasterChef Australia finale will air on Tuesday, 16 July.
Who’s still in the competition?
At the time of writing, five contestants are still in the running for the MasterChef Australia 2024 finale.
Nat, Mimi, Josh ‘Pezza’ Perry, Harry and Sav will all take part in Finals Week in the hope of taking out the competition.
What is the MasterChef Australia 2024 prize?
The last standing contestant will, of course, receive bragging rights, as well as a whopping $250,000 cash prize. They’ll also (probably) gain a blue tick on Instagram. Winning!
What will happen during the MasterChef Australia Finals Week?
The episode that airs on Sunday July 7, will see one of the remaining five contestants eliminated. They will face off with some of the world’s most extreme ingredients and must select one ingredient to tame.
On Monday, the top four will tackle their final mystery box of the season. Under each mystery box is a golden ticket, and the winner of the challenge will be the first home cook to secure their place in the MasterChef Australia semi-final.
In the final challenge of the week on Tuesday, fish king Josh Niland will set a three-hour pressure test that will push everyone to their limits. Which seafood aficionado Harry will probably be excited about (if he makes it past Sunday’s elim ep).
The MasterChef Australia 2024 Finale will air on Tuesday, 16 July on Channel 10 and 10Play at 7:30pm.

Jessica Gunning wowed audiences around the world with her groundbreaking portrayal of Martha in the Netflix sensation Baby Reindeer.
However, news has just surfaced that there was another name in the mix for the role and I’m not sure how to feel about it.
According to a report by Variety, a source has claimed that agents for creator Richard Gadd (who also wrote and starred in Baby Reindeer as himself) “pushed aggressively” for Melissa McCarthy to play the leading role of Martha.
While McCarthy is known for her comedic roles such as her ones in Bridesmaids, The Heat and more, she has also shown her depth and more serious side in other roles such as Can You Ever Forgive Me? in 2018.
“A knowledgeable source says McCarthy met Gadd about the role but ultimately wasn’t interested,” the Variety report said.
“Those familiar with the production say Gadd micromanaged casting and fired his CAA agents after they and Netflix pushed aggressively for Melissa McCarthy to be cast as Martha.”
I don’t doubt that McCarthy would’ve been phenomenal in the role of Martha just like she nails every other character she’s portrayed, but Gunning’s casting was so perfect it’s hard to imagine the shoes being filled by anyone else.
Honestly, the way she brought so many layers to such a complex character was incredible.
About Baby Reindeer
Baby Reindeer has been met with high acclaim since the seven-episode series premiered on Netflix in April 2024.
Fiona Harvey (the woman claiming to be the real-life Martha) has since accused Gadd of lying in a tell-all interview with Piers Morgan.
Harvey has filed a $255 million lawsuit against Netflix, suing for defamation, negligence, intentional infliction of emotional distress and more.
You can stream every episode of Baby Reindeer on Netflix (if you haven’t already).
You know what they say: oral sex sells. OK, maybe that’s not quite it, but the gobby scene in the latest episode of House of the Dragon sure is getting people talking about the hit show.
The Game of Thrones spinoff has shocked viewers of Season 2, Episode 3 thanks to a massive penis (or schlong, wang, meat slapper for the more fun among you) alongside a spot of confronting blowjob activity.
It happened around halfway through the episode, which I know not from watching (it’s on my list) but because of how wild the internet’s going over it.
So how does a bit of head happen mid-episode, you ask? Well, King Aegon II Targaryen (Tom Glynn-Carney) treated his soldiers to a cheeky night out at a brothel — as you do — following many drinks.
When they rock up to said brothel, King Aegon opens a set of curtains to reveal a bunch of people getting jiggy with it.
The first curtain? A rather large penis. In a mouth. In front of all of our salads.
In case you were wondering: it’s been widely reported that the penis in question was a prosthetic one.
More explicit sex acts were revealed as he continued pulling back curtains, but nothing quite slapped viewers in the face like that first scenario.
The Game of Thrones universe is not a stranger to nudity and sex scenes. In the same episode, there is a full-frontal nude scene of Prince Aemond Targaryen (played by Ewan Mitchell).
Regardless, nothing prepared The House of the Dragon community for what they saw in Season 2, Episode 3.
“Was not expecting an explicit blowjob then Aemond full frontal in the span of 2 minutes,” a Redditor wrote.
If you want to see what went down for yourself (no judgement), then you can stream The House of Dragon on BINGE.
There’s some strong intel that Home and Away‘s golden girl — none other than OG Kate Ritchie — could be returning to Summer Bay. And you know what? I think it’s what the show needs.
Kate Richie played Sally Fletcher on the Australian soap from 1988 until 2008 and her character absolutely went through it throughout her 20-year stint.
Her storylines included (but were not limited to) a dead husband, a long-lost brother and an imaginary friend. What a trooper!
Sally was an icon in Summer Bay and our television screens alike. There’s no doubt about it. And in my humble opinion, Home and Away has lost the plot in the years since she left the show.
That’s why I’m absolutely rooting for all these rumours about her returning to be true. But will it be enough, or is the show too far gone?
Will Kate Richie return to Home and Away?
Last year, Richie told her radio co-hosts on the Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald and Michael “Wippa” Wipfli that she’d definitely be back for a final episode of the show — not unlike Kylie Minogue returning from the final episode of Neighbours (or what we thought was the final episode).
“If Ray Meagher (Alf Stewart) asked me to come back, to change the sheets in the Caravan Park, I’d be there,” Richie told her cohosts in 2023.
“I know you’re going back to the bay,” Wippa pushed. “I’ve seen your emails as I sit next to you in the office.”
“No you don’t, you have bad eyes,” Richie laughed back.
Wippa went on to say that he wanted to get “Home & Away fans warmed up” by “rolling out a couple of scenes here at Nova”. As he delved further into his plans, Kate asked:
“What is the point of this? Why are you trying to make me look silly, and you’re actually trying to blow an exclusive.”
The rumours of Ritchie’s Home and Away return come after Meagher told TV Tonight that the longtime soap has lost its way.
When Ritchie started on the show, Home and Away was about a seaside community with the Fletcher family taking in foster children.
In recent times, however, the show became more focused on harder-hitting storylines, like crime, since the infamous “River Boys” (Lincoln Younes, Steve Peacocke and Dan Ewing) of 2011.
“I mean, that was just a great period. But was it Summer Bay? Hmmm …. in my humble opinion, not to that extent.”
But can any one person actually save Summer Bay?
While it seems like a return from Richie could help to get Home and Away bring back some lost viewers, there’d need to be more than just her reprised character to save the soap.
We’ve seen the return of other Home and Away OGs before like Roo Stewart (Georgie Parker) and Marilyn Chambers (Emily Symons), however, the show’s storylines and character mix were still different to its heyday.
Take Summer Bay High, for example. Not having the high school (we haven’t seen it since 2019) gaping hole in the current Home and Away format.
When a photo of ex-Summer Bay High students Casey Braxton (Younes), Sasha Bezmel (Demi Harman), Spencer Harrington (Andrew Morley) and Maddy Osborne (Kassandra Clementi) was posted to a popular Facebook group, fans were quick to get nostalgic.
“I wish they would use the school scenes again,” one fan wrote.
“I loved that it USED [to] encompass most age groups, if I am entirely honest I no longer get sad if I miss a[n] episode or two, or seven,” wrote another.
“Bring back those days. The present storylines are ridiculous.”
Perhaps if Sally comes back and resumes her role as a teacher, and they bring back a whole bunch of teenagers that Australia’s youth can relate to, then Home and Away might be in with a fighting chance?
If they could bring back Kim Hyde (Chris Hemsworth) while they’re at it, that’d be great.
Last night, fan favourite Lachlan “Lochy” Whittle‘s time in the MasterChef kitchen came to a devastating end after he lost the time auction elimination challenge to fellow contestant (and bestie), Harry Butterfield.
“I’m just really proud of the food that I was able to put up,” Whittle reflects, speaking with Chattr.
“To not have the apparatus of what I’m so used to and what I’m actually really good at, to be able to get as deep in the competition as I did. I am extremely proud of that moment.”
Whittle describes the solace he finds in cooking and the release it gives him; something he looks forward to after work, even on the “bad days.”
“[You] just put on an album and cook something delicious and just groove to some music, and everything’s going to be all right again,” he says.
Whittle’s story has touched the hearts of many a MasterChef viewer after the heartbreaking reveal that his mother, Jan, passed away from Huntington’s Disease just days before filming.
The news came out during the Mum Cook challenge episode, along with another poignant revelation: that Whittle has since discovered he has inherited the degenerative brain condition.
Despite not having a conventional upbringing, he recalls, one where disease was an uncannily familiar character, but “always a difficult thing,” Whittle thanks his mum for giving him the power in that cook “to be able to push through, and realise that no matter what there is, I can overcome obstacles and keep pushing forward.”
He remembers that challenging day on the Masterchef floor, “the crew and the other contestants and even the judges knew what I was going through, and the support that I had on that day was phenomenal.”
Thinking about some of his favourite moments from the show, Whittle is grateful for the close friendship he struck up with kitchen mate, Harry Butterfield.
“It means the world to be able to be able to come into the competition and be able to click with somebody like Harry from day one,” he says.
“To have that kind of support system, that we would do so much together on our mornings to help get into the zone. Going into the kitchen and cooking every day, and then being able to come back and debrief with each other, cook for each other, and just talk about food and support each other’s ideas… it just made it so, so great.”
The ultimate Masterchef ‘bromance’ – can we please make ‘Hochy’ a thing?
He also fondly calls to mind “a really cool moment” that happened with esteemed Vietnamese-Australian chef and restaurateur, Luke Nguyen. It was particularly significant to him, given it was Nguyen who first made Whittle “fall in love” with Vietnamese cuisine.
“I actually travelled to Vietnam because of falling in love with him and his show and how he talks about food,” says Whitall.
“In my first cook in that elimination, I tried to really ‘MasterChef’ something on a traditional Vietnamese dish, and just didn’t pull it off.”
Despite the dish, short rib Bo La Lot, being what he estimates to be around 15 minutes away from what he envisioned, Whittle describes “the little message that Luke wrote to me in my Luke Nguyen Vietnam cookbook, which was absolutely beautiful, that made me feel so good about where my head was at.”
Lochy in the kitchen with Luke Nguyen – Instagram @lochycooks
“Don’t be surprised if you see that coming up in one of my restaurants, because I thought that was a fabulous idea,” wrote Nguyen.
The chef also gave a cheeky “Ps.” that he would be nabbing the wing bean and green mango pickle recipe Whittle used in his subsequent ghee-seared kingfish cook.
“I pride myself on Vietnamese cooking, and I tried to do a lot in that cook to really impress him. I may have bitten off more than I could chew, especially for a dish I hadn’t tested or done before,” Whittle admits.
“But to have that message after not being eliminated come down right in front of me really made me feel special about that.”

If Harry Jowsey‘s actions on the latest season of Netflix’s Perfect Match didn’t shock you then the serious coin he can make on Instagram sure will.
The 27-year-old Australian reality TV star — who shot to fame on Netflix’s Too Hot Too Handle debut season in 2020 — has an impressive 4.4 million followers on Instagram alone.
Jowsey shot to fame in 2020 on the debut season of Netflix’s Too Hot To Handle. (Image: @harryjowsey.)
That’s a lot of potential influence and reach, something that is reflected in his estimated earnings on the platform.
As reported by PEDESTRIAN.TV, talent agency Hunter Talent has shared that Jowsey could charge just over $20,000 per post on the platform. Meanwhile, all a selfie costs me is my dignity.
Hear me out but I reckon I could also make $20K a post if I looked like this. And went on reality TV. Four times. (Image: @harryjowsey.)
In addition to his Instagram followers, Jowsey also has a podcast and YouTube channel to further attract brands into working with him.
He is also consistently re-entering the spotlight, following his reality TV debut in the midst of a global lockdown with stints on Dancing With The Stars, The Amazing Race Australia: Celebrity Edition and most recently the second season of Perfect Match.
Considering the cheeky possum knows how to cause a stir on screen, it’s safe to assume that each stint brings some increased engagement to Jowsey’s platforms.
In the latest season of Perfect Match, Jowsey was caught lying to his match on the show about kissing another contestant.
Is the pope catholic? (Image: Netflix.)
In the past, he was televised proposing to Francesca Farago following their rollercoaster romance on Too Hot To Handle.
The bloke does some questionable shit but boy does he know how to make good television. And with an estimated $20,000 price tag, I’m assuming he can do the same thing for Instagram ads.
There are a lot of things I’m still forgiving Grey’s Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes for (like that musical episode — why?) but the departure of Mark Sloan (Eric Dane) from the Seattle Grace roster is pretty high on that list.
Today Dane — the man who played McStreamy before he rudely McLeft us — has helped us inch closer to closure by clarifying why he was savagely booted from the wildly successful television drama.
Not mad, just disappointed. (Image: Grey’s Anatomy.)
(Side note: I’m going to assume if you’re here you know what happened to Dane’s character in Grey’s Anatomy Season 9 but, on the off chance you don’t, I should let you know that this article will include spoilers.)
In a new podcast episode of Dax Shepard‘s Armchair Expert, Dane opened up about his struggles with drugs and alcohol, however, clarified that it wasn’t the reason he left Grey’s Anatomy.
In fact, he basically says he didn’t leave at all — at least not on his own accord.
“I didn’t leave so much as I think I was let go,” Dane explained.
“I was struggling. They didn’t let me go because of that, although it definitely didn’t help”.
The 51-year-old went on to say that he was let go after his six-year stint on the medical drama due to his pay-check.
“I was starting to become – as most of these actors who have spent significant time on the show – you start to become very expensive for the network,” Dane told Shepard.
“And the network knows that the show is going to do what it’s going to do irrespective of who they keep on it – as long as they have their [Meredith] Grey they were fine.”
Mark Sloan left our television screens in 2012, returning once as a special guest in 2021. (Image: Grey’s Anatomy.)
To refresh your memory, Dane was killed off following a fatal plane accident.
It was extra hard pill to swallow considering we had lost Lexie Grey (Chyler Leigh) — another main character and McSteamy’s longtime love interest — just a few episodes prior.
It’s still one of the most talked about storylines of the show’s 20-season strong run on air.
Me every time I watch the Season 8 finale. (Image: Grey’s Anatomy.)
The deaths of the pair were so impactful that Seattle Grace Mercy West Hospital was renamed the Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital in tribute.
Dane joined Grey’s Anatomy in Season Two which aired back in 2006.
“I wasn’t the same guy they had hired. So I had understood when I was let go,” Dane explained on the podcast.
“And Shonda was really great,” Dane clarified of the mastermind behind the show.
“She protected us fiercely. She protected us publicly. She protected us privately…,” he continued.
“But I was probably fired. It wasn’t ceremoniously like, ‘You’re fired,’ it was just like, ‘You’re not coming back.’”
They say reasons can provide understanding and closure, but I’m not sure these ones are going to help me sleep any better at night. Especially when my dreams involve an alternate universe where Mark and Lexie have several babies.
But at least Dane can get decent shut-eye knowing that the show peaked while he was on it?
You can stream every episode of Grey’s Anatomy on Disney+.
Former MAFS stars Brett and Angel Renall and Benjamin Blackwell shared the news of Andrew’s death to Instagram, as reported by NZ Herald.
“It’s with the heaviest hearts we’ve come together to acknowledge the passing of Andrew Jury,” the statement read.
“We had the absolute pleasure of filming and participating in a show which leaves us intricately linked for a lifetime.”

Andrew’s time on MAFS NZ
Andrew appeared in MAFS NZ Season 1 back in 2017 when he was aged 26. He was matched with bride Vicky Gleeson-Stokes but the pair were not able to make the relationship work beyond the reality TV show.
A year after his time on MAFS, Andrew publicly questioned the show’s ethics, saying he and his match, Vicky, were complete opposites.

Andrew also made accusations about the filming conditions while on the show, as reported by NZ Herald.
Warner Bros Discovery — the company that brings MAFS NZ to screens — has said that they take their duty of care “extremely seriously”.
“Warner Bros Discovery (WBD) expresses our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Andrew Jury,” a WBD spokesperson told NZ Herald.
“WBD takes duty of care extremely seriously and has protocols in place regarding the wellbeing of cast and crew.
“All MAFS NZ contributors have access to mental health professionals throughout the process, including pre-screening, during production and after broadcast.”
Tributes flow from MAFS cast-mates
Andrew was described by his fellow MAFS cast-mates as “the life of the party”.

Emily didn’t have the easiest time on Stranded on Honeymoon Island after discovering that her TV husband Tom had a secret girlfriend back home. But now, she’s found her happy ending, revealing to Chattr that she’s in a new relationship.
“I do have a boyfriend,” she gushed. “We’ve been together coming up on six months. I’m very, very, very happy.”
Emily shared that she met her partner, Kane, at work.
“I think I said in the speed dating [on the show] that I wanted a tall guy with an accent, and I have found my tall man with an accent,” adding that Kane is from the UK.
Stranded on Honeymoon Island was filmed back in October 2024, meaning Emily had to keep her relationship with Kane under wraps to avoid spoiling her on-screen storyline with Tom. However, after pulling her flare and leaving the show in Episode 7, she’s relieved it has finally aired, so she can officially hard launch her new relationship.
“I’m excited to finally share how happy I am. I’ve had so many people message me saying they hope I’ve met someone nice, so [it’s] nice to actually share with them that I have.”

Stranded on Honeymoon Island’s Emily and her new boyfriend are in love
Emily told Chattr that she realised early on in her relationship with Kane that she was in love with him, but was nervous to drop the L bomb.
“I didn’t want to say it first, but I nearly said it to him one time, and then he said it first,” she revealed.
She added that there are so many things she loves about Kane, and said she’s so grateful that they found their way together.
“I love everything about this man. I love how much he cares for me, he always puts me first, he’s an incredible communicator, he’s extremely supportive of everything I do and is always pushing me to do better,” she said.

She added that her family and all of her friends adore Kane — including her dog!
“I also love that Kane understands me, I don’t have to say a word and he knows exactly what’s going through my mind. He’s a hard worker who pushes me to work even harder, he’s funny, he’s always making me laugh, we’re always taking the mickey out of each other’s accents.”
The reality star hinted that she and Kane have even thought about having kids one day.
“He’s very smart, I thought I had brains, but I’m hoping our kids get his brains!” she said. “At the end of the day, he just has the most beautiful soul, and that’s all I ever wanted, so I’m extremely happy with Kane.”
We absolutely love a happy ending — bring on the babies!
Stranded on Honeymoon Island airs on Tuesdays on Channel 7 and 7Plus.
Emily was the first contestant to pull the flare on Stranded on Honeymoon Island, shocking her TV husband Tom and exiting the experiment.
Fans of the show will know that Tom told Emily in an early episode that he had a woman on the outside, but later backtracked, saying that he made it up as a cover because he wasn’t interested in a romantic relationship with her.
However, during an interview with Chattr, Emily claimed that Tom did have a secret girlfriend while he was filming Stranded on Honeymoon Island.
“I can confirm that there was somebody, so he lied about lying, so that’s a bit disappointing,” she told Chattr.

Emily explained that she and Tom spoke briefly after filming ended, and said that was when he admitted that he was initially telling the truth about having someone waiting for him on the outside.
“I never spoke to her. I never met her, nothing. But he told me, again, that there is someone,” she said.
Emily added that when she decided to pull the flare, she still wasn’t sure whether Tom actually had a girlfriend on the outside, but the doubt played on her mind and was ultimately the reason she decided to leave the show.
“I just did not see going anywhere other than a friendship. I think at that point, it was that trigger of, I had to take in everything I’ve heard. And, I’ve heard that there is a girl on the outside.
“I didn’t want to be someone’s second option. So it was that final straw, [I thought] I’m doing this for me, and I’ll find my person who thinks I’m number one.”

Emily reveals if Tom’s secret girlfriend was Survivor’s Morgan Mitchell
Stranded on Honeymoon Island was filmed in October 2023, and Tom married Australian Survivor Morgan Mitchell in February 2025. The pair have since welcomed twin girls.
The timing of Tom’s relationship with Morgan had many Stranded on Honeymoon Island fans speculating that she was the woman who was waiting for Tom while he filmed the show. However, Emily told Chattr that it wasn’t her.
“I can confirm that she wasn’t his secret girlfriend,” she said, adding that she wishes Tom and Morgan the best.
“I wish him all the best that you know, his twins are gorgeous. I’m really happy that he’s now happy. At the end of the day, it is a love show and… he’s now got his person.”
Morgan and Tom with their twin girls. Image: Instagram.
Emily added that she couldn’t be happier that she decided to pull the flare and leave the show when she did.
“It was probably one of the proudest moments I’ve had for myself. It was extremely emotional, but I wasn’t going to keep fighting for someone who’s never going to fight,” she said.
“[Stranded on Honeymoon Island] was one of the biggest emotional rollercoasters of my life, to say the least. I loved it in the sense that it was something I probably would never have done before, and I could — hand on heart — say I’ll never do again,” she laughed.
Stranded on Honeymoon Island airs on Tuesdays on Channel 7 and 7Plus.
The cast met for the first time during a speed dating round, which aired in episode 1. At the event they gave producers a list of the partners they wanted to be paired up with for the experiment; however, the final choices were ultimately out of the participants’ hands.
Unsurprisingly, everything did not go smoothly when the couples were shipped off to their islands, and drama exploded between a fair few of the couples.
Midway through the season, the participants were offered an escape route: an orange box containing a flare. They were told that if they chose to launch it, both their journey and their partner’s would come to an end on the show.
So, who has stuck it out and who’s decided to call it quits? Read on to find out.
Who has left Stranded on Honeymoon Island so far?
Tom and Emily
Tom and Emily. Image: Seven.
Much to Emily’s delight, she was matched with her first pick from the speed dating round, Tom, in Episode 1. However, the excitement wasn’t mutual, with Tom admitting that he felt no spark during their wedding kiss.
Shortly after, Tom told Emily he had a girl waiting for him on the outside. But when Emily shared his shady secret with the other contestants, he quickly backtracked, claiming he made it up as an excuse because he didn’t want to pursue a romantic connection with her.
While on the show, Emily wasn’t sure whether to believe Tom, but she decided to pull the flare during Episode 7 anyway.
“I just did not see going anywhere other than a friendship. I think at that point, it was that trigger of, I had to take in everything I’ve heard. And, I’ve heard that there is a girl on the outside,” she told Chattr of her decision.
“I didn’t want to be someone’s second option. So it was that final straw, [I thought] I’m doing this for me, and I’ll find my person who thinks I’m number one.”
Her choice meant that her and Tom’s time on the Fijian island was over.
“It was probably one of the proudest moments I’ve had for myself. It was extremely emotional, but I wasn’t going to keep fighting for someone who’s never going to fight,” she said.
Stranded on Honeymoon Island airs on Tuesdays on Channel 7 and 7Plus.
It appears that Home and Away fan favourite Juliet Godwin is leaving Summer Bay after a farewell post for her surfaced on social media.
Juliet has played Dr. Bree Cameron since 2022, and while her departure from the soap hasn’t been officially announced yet, a goodbye post was shared in a Facebook fan group showing her at lunch with the show’s makeup artist Amy Weems, and Home and Away actor Matt Evans.
“Happy birthday @amyweems15 & farewell @julietgodwin_ you beauties,” the post read.

It looks as though Home and Away fan favourite Emily Weir, who plays Mackenzie Booth, also joined the farewell lunch, as she reshared a sweet photo of herself and Amy posing in front of a birthday cake.
Home and Away actors often sign a three year contract when joining the show, and Juliet’s first appearance on the soap was in August 2022 — meaning that her likely departure lines up with the end of her contract.
A Facebook fan commented that Juliet was leaving the show, citing “inside sources”, adding that “her last scenes were filmed last week.”

Irene Roberts is also officially leaving Summer Bay
Summer Bay will also farewell one of its most iconic characters of all time, with Channel 7 confirming that Irene Roberts, played byLynne McGranger, will officially farewell Home and Away for good after 33 years on the soap.
A press release has teased that her departure will play out over the next few months and will be one of the show’s most emotional and unmissable storylines yet.
“After almost 33 years in my dream role and working every day with people who I love, respect and whom I now consider family, it’s bittersweet to be closing the chapter on what has been the best and longest gig of my life,” Lynne said of her decision to leave Home and Away.

“I am forever grateful to the best production crew in the world and to our genius writers — whose doors are always open — for everything they have done for Irene over the past 33-odd years, and I am so proud of the storyline which will see Irene out of the Bay. Above all, a massive, heartfelt thank you to the fans for your continued love and support.”
Home and Away airs Mondays – Thursdays at 7pm on Channel 7 and 7Plus.
The stakes are high, as the returning contestants include former competitors who’ve built successful food businesses. Some are making multiple attempts at the title, though none of the cast has secured a win… yet.
Ahead of the new season, judge Andy Allen told Chattr that he was impressed by the calibre of the contestants, saying, “The standard is the highest I’ve ever seen it.”

Back from Doha, Sarah, Snez, Alana and Laura faced off in a high-stakes elimination challenge, featuring a dramatic ‘dual duel’ format.
In Round 1, Sarah battled Alana with horseradish, while Laura and Snez took on hazelnuts, each aiming to avoid the bottom two.
Laura’s gelato disaster saw her in tears, though she salvaged her dish with a last-minute mascarpone whip, while Snez’s hazelnut-crusted cod impressed the judges. Meanwhile, Sarah’s horseradish cream-filled doughnuts and wagyu were well-received, while Alana’s bold dessert of Horseradish Ice Cream with White Chocolate, a Soaked Almond Biscuit, Goat’s Curd and Celery Oil had the flavour but pushed the savoury notes too far. As a result, Laura and Alana were sent into Round 2, where fennel seeds were the hero ingredient.
Laura delivered a refined Chilled Squid and Fennel Noodle dish that showcased deep, roasted fennel seed flavour and blew the judges away. Although Alana’s Fennel Seed Pavlova was impressive, Poh, Andy, Sofia and Jean-Christophe said that the fennel seed flavour in her dish battled to shine through against all the other elements, and she was eliminated.

Who wins Immunity? Image: Ten
It’s the final day of International Week, and five contestants are going head-to-head for Immunity. The judges ask Alana, Sarah, Depinder, Snez and Laura to create a dish for Qatar Airways’ Business Class menu in 75 minutes. The winner will also walk away with a Business Class ticket for the flight home, so there’s plenty at stake.
Laura creates a luxury pasta dish: ricotta and mushroom tortelloni, paired with white asparagus, truffles and hazelnuts.
Depinder serves up fine-dining Indian cuisine and plays to her strengths. Her prawn sukka is a dry prawn curry, with mango pachadi, tempered rice and a savoury banana bread.
Sarah hopes to make up for her disaster during the previous episode, and creates an Arabic-styled beef tartare with beetroot ice cream and lavosh bread. After the judges point out it may be too complicated to be served in flight, she changes her mind. In the end, she plates up a seared wagyu eye fillet, oysters, cauliflower puree, pickled cauliflower and lavosh bread.
Snez works on a seafood dish and presents a sheri fish after discarding her original idea of scallops with stuffed peppers.
Alana goes rogue and cooks up a feast of… bugs. She pairs the controversial ingredient with a saffron buttermilk sauce, cous cous, caviar and a salad.
The judges declare that Depinder’s dish deserves Immunity. It’s thoughtful, flavoursome, and rich, which the posh Business Class passengers would love. She makes it into the Top 7 MasterChef Australia contestants, leaving Laura, Snez, Alana, and Sarah at risk of elimination on Sunday.

Immunity is on the line. Image: Ten
The six contestants still vying for immunity are tasked with cooking in the Michelin-starred restaurant Idam. They are given 90 minutes each to create a degustation-style menu to celebrate Doha, with each cook given a separate course.
Snez, Alana, Depinder and Ben are given a savoury course, while Sarah and Laura are given a sweet course.
Snez is the first to present, and serves up a course based on the fish market, with sea bass, squid and consommé. The judges are impressed, with Poh saying it was “an elegant dish”.
Alana’s second course was inspired by the amphitheatre, with a smoked eel cream, muhammara, and a bay leaf za’atar chicken skin. Andy says the muhammara was “powerful”, but the smoked eel cream “didn’t stand a chance”.
Ben’s serves up a third course of charred octopus with red pepper jus, camel lardo and potato. The judges are impressed and Andy praises the way Ben cooked the octopus.
Depinder was inspired by the spice stalls and serves up a chicken biriyani along with a mint and pomegranate raita for the fourth course. Andy calls it “delicious” but doesn’t think it’s right for a degustation fine-dining setting.
Sarah serves a dish she isn’t proud of after a disastrous cook. Inspired by the National Museum, she attempted to make a bridging course, with a chutney on the base, topped with blue cheese and sheep’s cheese chocolate, and topped with a tuille. Poh says the cook “pushed it way too far”, and the flavours were too intense.
Laura’s final course was inspired by the Golden Mosque, so she attempted to recreate the building on a plate. It’s a pistachio financier with blood orange and karak tea gelato surrounded by gold tiles. Poh declares it’s “exquisite” and says she “loves it”.
Laura’s and Ben’s dishes were the top two of the day, and Andy calls them “unbelievable.” In the end, Ben walks away with Immunity.
Episode 41 recap
Immunity for the week was on the line. Image: Ten
The top eight are whisked away to Doha for the start of International Week. The contestants are given a spread of ingredients celebrated in this region of the world, including pistachios, lamb, cinnamon sticks, Medjool dates, kefir, black limes, pickled green plums, and more. They are asked to use one ingredient from the box to create a “cracker of a dish.” The top two will win Immunity for the rest of the week, so there’s a lot a stake.
Jamie is first to present his dish, and serves up a spice cured hamour with saffron, date, loomi tea and a kishk emulsion. His dish is called complex and sophisticated.
Fan-favourite Callum presents a black lime hamour with zucchini and kefir sulud with flatbread, which really impressed the judges. His dish was praised as “top-tier cooking” and the cook was called “a star”.
Both Jamie and Callum walk away with Immunity for the week, and Jamie is told his dish is “the kind of food that wins this competition”. Could Jamie be the winner of MasterChef Australia 2025?
Episode 40 recap
A very special prize was on the line for episode 40 of MasterChef Australia. Image: Ten
The contestants arrive to find crates with different country names on them, with each tasked with picking a crate and “taking the judges to that place”. Metaphorically speaking of course, they don’t literally have to fly the judges to Europe.
A very special prize is teased for the top four chefs, which heightens the competition, with most of our seasoned chefs picking European delicacies from Italy, Spain, and France.
Laura blows Andy away with her Sicilian rabbit ragu, a dish that she and her husband fell in love with on their honeymoon to Mt Etna, while Jamie also impressed the judges with his Spanish seafood dish, despite describing it as a “wet, soupy rice”.
It was Audra and Snez on the chopping block, with Audra electing to cook the seafood from her paella separately, meaning the flavours of her dish didn’t combine. Snez made a Turkish dish with stuffed apples, but Poh and Sofia were left confused by the dish, with Sofia even dubbing it an “interesting texture”.
Unfortunately for Audra, she was eliminated before making it to *dramatic drumroll please* international week. The top four chefs, Laura, Jamie, Sarah and Ben won business tickets to head to Doha.

Another team challenge! Image: Ten
This episode’s two-round Immunity Challenge was super creative, and some of the dishes that appeared were truly drool-worthy. For the first round, the remaining nine contestants were split up into three teams and asked to nominate a champ to whip up a dish on the MasterChef Australia barbeque in just 45 minutes.
The Purple Team (Depinder, Audra and Laura) nominate Laura as their champ, and she serves up a coral trout with native salad and a Warrigal greens emulsion.
The Grey Team (Jamie, Callum and Alana) nominate Jamie as their champ, and he creates a delicious Japanese pancake, okonomiyaki, along with charred squid, prawns and a herb salad.
The Green Team (Ben, Snez and Sarah) nominate Sarah as their champ, and she gets creative with a BBQ cabbage and duck bolognese.
The judges praise all three dishes, but Jamie’s okonomiyaki comes out on top, giving the Grey Team a chance to fight for immunity.
In the second round, Jamie, Alana and Callum have a chance to win immunity. Each contestant is given a chance to pick a mysterious portrait of a historical figure who has made their mark on the culinary world.
Image: TenImage: Ten
Alana picks Dame Nellie Melba, and serves up a peach melba with a tonka bean and salted honey parfait, a strawberry and raspberry sauce, poached and pickled peaches, and Thai basil oil to finish. The judges love the textures and flavours.
Jamie gets the Duke of Wellington, and creates a lamb wellington with parsnip instead of pastry, comparing it to a spring roll. While Andy is concerned about the cook, considering Jamie sears it in the pan twice, and then deep fries it, the dish actually presents beautifully.
Callum picks Anna Pavlova and decides to make a Russian Babushka doll-themed pavlova. Yum! He fills his meringues with strawberry and lemon coulis, a strawberry and fig sorbet, fresh figs, a fig leaf oil, fig leaf sherbert and a crème fraiche mousse. The judges are so impressed with his take on the pavlova, that Callum ends up walking away with immunity.
Episode 38 recap
Andre, Alana and Snez had to fight to stay in the competition. Image: Ten
Episode 38’s Elimination Pressure Test has been set by award-winning pastry chef Philip Khoury. He asks Alana, Snez and Andre to recreate an intricate dessert called Dawn of a Tropical New Day in just two hours and 15 minutes. It’s a plant-based dessert, with coconut, white chocolate, fresh mango compote and coconut chantilly.
Snez is determined to avoid elimination, and stays relatively calm and focused through the challenge. While she struggles with tempering the coconut chocolate at first, she ends up mastering the dessert. Andy calls it “crazy good” and says it’s almost identical to Philip’s creation. Wow!
Alana previously went home after struggling in a Pressure Test, so she doesn’t want to make the same mistake this time. However, a mistake during the first part of the recipe leaves her rushing to catch up, and she accidentally dips her hemisphere in chocolate. The judges believe it’s a good effort, although not as precise as Snez’s.
Andre isn’t a dessert guy, so it’s no surprise he struggles with Philip’s plant-based delight. In the end, his ratios were all wrong, with his chocolate shell and sponge ending up being too thick. This results in Andre being sent home.
Episode 37 recap
Mystery Box time. Image: Ten
We love a Monday Mystery Box episode! This challenge is one you can recreate at home using your trusty airfryer. The 10 remaining contestants have to use an airfryer to whip up a tasty dish, using the airfryer for one or more of their elements. They’re not allowed to use the oven, and the bottom three will be sent to fight for their lives in an elimination challenge.
In an odd move, Sarah decides to make a completely carrot-themed dish, which Jean-Christophe says is “risky”. After presenting a carrot medallion, carrot puree and carrot gel to the judges, she’s deemed the winner of the night and takes home a $5000 Harvey Norman prize voucher. Declan will be proud!
However, Alana, Snez and Andre struggled with their airfryer elements and are deemed the worst cooks of the evening. They’ll have to face each other in the elimination challenge during the next episode.
Episode 36 recap
Maggie Beer set the final 11 contestants a new challenge, but some cooks failed to impress. Image: Ten
Aussie icon Maggie Beer popped into the MasterChef kitchen to say hello and set the remaining 11 contestants a fun new activity, with the challenge being a “decreasing time versus increasing ingredients” task. Basically, this means that the contestants must create a dish from a certain pantry haul within a shrinking time limit.
Callum had previously done this challenge and decided not to go with his prior decision of waiting for the final pantry reveal, and instead picked the 75-minute time frame, wanting to create “a celebration” of verjuice. While the rest of us Googled what verjuice even is (a highly acidic juice made by pressing unripe grapes, crab-apples or other sour fruit, according to Wikipedia!),Depinder and Ben waited until crunch time, waiting to see what final ingredients would be revealed, leaving themselves only 55 minutes for the cook.
While the risk paid off for Depinder, with the judges loving her curry, Ben wasn’t quite as lucky with his pan-roasted ocean trout, withAndy thinking the dish was too heavy. However, it was Declan who missed out on the chance of making the top 10, with the judges not sold on his skewers and slaw dish.
Episode 35 recap
Aussie legend Curtis Stone is back again to set his second challenge for the remaining chefs in an Immunity Cook. The chefs must create their own ice cream flavour, with Winter as their inspiration. The winner’s icecream will be sold for a limited time in Coles around the country!
With 90 minutes on the clock, the chefs have not time to waste. Callum plans a boysenberry blast, and serves the judges Boysenberry Ripple Ice Cream with chocolate-covered honeycomb, served with boysenberry meringue, boysenberry jelly, honeycomb, blackberries and violet gin granita. Also, going with a single dessert theme is Laura, with Sticky date pudding with a Sticky Date inspired Date and Cinnamon ice cream.
Audra and Depinder find inspiration in Chai flavours. Depinder’s Masala Chai Ice Cream Sandwiches are a “triumph” according to Curtis. The judges also loved Audra’s Chai tea Ice Cream, but Sofial thinks the tea flavouring is a little strong.
The winner by miles is Laura’s Sticky Date inpired ice cream, and she wins immunity for the week. Better run to Coles to grab her signature Date and Cinnamon ice cream before it runs out.
Episode 34 recap
It’s an Elimination Cook day. Afler placing in the bottom four last episode, Sarah, Ben, Theo, and Jamie are on the chopping block. And it’s none other than Aussie celebrity chef, Curtis Stone setting a Cook Along challenge.
That challenge? Our four chefs have an hour to produce a Slow-cooked Lamb Raviolo alongside Curtis. It’s a dish that, according to Curtis, usually takes up to 3 hours to cook and serve.
But the timer is set, and Sarah, Ben, Theo, and Jamie get to work. But keeping up with one of Australia’s top professional chef is a tall order for some. Sarah pulls ahead of Curtis throughout the challenge, and so does Ben. But Theo almost immediately falls behind.
Despite a valliant effort throughout the competition, Theo’s serves up last. Ultimately, his undercooked pasta and bad timing gets him sent home. Sarah, Ben, and Jamie hold onto their aprons.
Episode 33 recap
Nornie Bero with Poh and Sofia. Image: Ten.
Torres Strait Islander entrepreneur, author and chef Nornie Bero was the guest judge for today’s Mystery Box challenge. Inside the Mystery Box are all Native Australian ingredients: emu fillet, yabbies, mackrel, pepperberry, Warrigul greens, strawberry gum, saltbush, pearl onions, yams, sunrise limes, and ooray plums. Chefs have 75 minutes to cook up a dish with only their under-bench essentials and Nornie’s Native ingredients.
Many of the chefs have never cooked with Native ingredients. But Snez is excited by the ooray plums and attempts to cook a version of her favourite Serbian potato-based dumpling dessert, Knedle. Meanwhile, Laura is passionate about cooking with Native ingredients and opts to make Yabbies and Yams, which uses all the ingredients except for the wild tamarinds and emu fillet.
The bottom four for the Elimination Cook must be chosen, however. With his impressive Emu Carpaccio, Callum is safe. But Ben, Theo, Sarah and Jamie’s lack of experience with Native ingredients let them down and landed them in next episode’s Elimination Cook.
Episode 32 recap
Beau, Snez, and Theo face elimination.
Sweet Week comes to a cracker of a close with an Elimination Cook. Upon entering the Masterchef Australia kitchen, the remaining chefs were greeted with 4 adorable children dressed as mini-me versions of the judges. The kids were the ultimate clue for the theme of the day’s challenge: serve up a dish in 75 minutes inspired by their own childhood memories. Whoever’s dish failed to impress the judges would hang up their apron.
Everyone digs deep for this challenge. Depinder opts to make a Tropical Lamington with Mango and Passionfruit. A dish inspired by the first time she tried a Lamington as a kid after her family arrived in Australia. Also, looking to memories of family for inspiration, Theo makes Fried Baklava with Liquid Nitrogen Thyme and honey ice cream -inspired by his grandmother’s own baklava recipe.
But the judges are most impressed by Sarah’s Cereal, a cross between her mother’s cookie jugs and, well, cereal. Andy is delighted, “I couldn’t’ve felt more childlike.” Likewise, Snez’s Honey Cake with Crème Fraiche and Lemon Honey Syrup boasts over 10 layers of deliciousness. Poh can’t believe the layering Snez achieved in just 75 minutes.
Unfortunately, Theo’s innovative Bklava and Beau’s discombobulating Spider Splice dessert placed them in the bottom two. While his Baklava had perfect crunch, it was among the least impressive dishes of the night. In the end, despite his pure love and joy for the competition, Beau’s “confused” Spider Splice with homemade Cola Granita and Vanilla Ice Cream got him sent home.
The remaining 12 chefs have officially made it to the halfway point of Masterchef Australia: Back To Win. We can’t wait for what’s in store for the second half of the competition.
Episode 31 recap
Callum, Sarah, Declan and Theo on Masterchef Australia
The end of Sweet Week draws closer and closer, but not before the judges set an immunity challenge and a taste test with a jiggly twist. The chefs are greeted with a table full of bright jelly cubes on small plates. Each cube is infused with the flavour of a single ingredient without the real texture of that ingredient to help the chefs guess.
First ones out in the taste test were Snez, followed by Alana, Beau, Jame and Andre. Depinder and Ben don’t make the cut either, leaving Theo, Declan, Sarah, Callum and Audra to fight it out in the Immunity Cook.
Round 2 is a sequel to the first challenge, where each chef has 90 minutes to create a dessert using the ingredients from the cubes. Declan serves an Almond and Mango Tart with Pandan Coconut Ice Cream. Unfortunately, he’s let down, according to both Poh and Jean-Christophe, by his undercooked tart.
Ultimately, it’s Callum who cooks up an “elite” dessert, according to Andy. His Gin and Tonic: gin and grapefruit mousse, rhubarb granita, roasted rhubarb, and basil snow earns him immunity to the surprise of no one.
Episode 30 recap
Poh set a Pressure Test in Episode 30, and surprise, surprise, it was another dessert! But, it wasn’t just one dessert — Beau, Callum, Andre, and Laura were tasked with recreating three of Poh’s sweet dishes: her Milly Filly, Rhubarb Tart, and Chiffon Cake.
Callum struggled with the task, and Andy pointed out some flaws in his dishes during judging, declaring, “I think Callum is human after all”. Poh added that he could have been in trouble if this were an Elimination Challenge. Andre did an acceptable job, but the judges weren’t blown away by his dishes.
Meanwhile, Poh, Sofia, Andy and Jean-Christophe were seriously impressed with both Beau and Laura’s creations. But, in the end, it was Laura who won Immunity.
“I am so thrilled with the result. I think everything tastes spot on,” Poh said of Laura’s desserts.
Episode 29 recap
Depinder battling chocolate goo on Masterchef.
It’s Sweet Week on Masterchef, and a Mystery Box challenge will decide who competes in the next immunity round. So, what’s in the box? Goo! Our chefs must dish up a gooey creation for the judges and the top 4 dishes go through to Tuesday’s Pressure Cook.
Despite being grossed out at first, Callum’s Chocolate and Macadamia Cremeux with Parsnip and Salt, and Vinegar, blows the judges away. Judge Jean-Christophe even praises the dish as Michelin Star worthy.
Not so lucky, Sarah has a “bad day at the office” according to Jean-Christophe. Her Chocolate and Caramel Fondant disappoints all the Masterchef judges.
Andre sticks to his roots and opts for a sweet twist on an Italian staple. His sweet Gnocchi with Amaro Caramel and Almond Ice Cream gets him through to the immunity cook-off with nothing but praise from the judges.
Joining Callum and Andre in the Pressure Cook next episode will be Laura and Beau. Laura’s indulgent Amaretto Affogato with almond Semifreddo and Amaretto Caramel is a clear favourite – and even though desserts aren’t his strong suit, Beau wows the judges with his gooey caramel Tiramisu, aka his “Tiramigoo”.
Episode 28 recap
Junda Khoo of Ho Jiak on MasterChef Australia. Image: Ten.
Episode 28 featured another elimination. This time, the contestants participated in two rounds. In the first, they took part in a challenging laksa taste test set by one of Australia’s most renowned Malaysian chefs, Junda Khoo of Ho Jiak. The four contestants who guessed the wrong ingredients landed in round two: Samira, Jamie, Theo, and Beau.
In Round Two, the four contestants cooked a MasterChef-worthy dish using a selection of the 40+ ingredients that made up Junda’s laksa bomb dish from Round One.
The judges loved Theo’s Murtabak and said Jamie’s Khao Sio was cooked perfectly but lacked fish sauce. They were impressed with Beau’s peanutless Chicken Satay but were unsure about Samira’s Turkish Chicken and Eggplant Kofta.
Poh, Andy, Sofia and Jean-Christophe pointed out that Samira’s chicken patties were dry due to the amount of lean meat she used, and she was eliminated from the competition.
Episode 27 recap
Laura, Declan and Sarah. Image: Ten.
It’s a Dough-Fest in the MasterChef Australia garden! Twelve contestants were given a Service Challenge, which saw them tasked with cooking a dough-based savoury dish and sweet dish in teams within four hours.
The teams were:
The Orange Team: Theo, Andre and Beau.
The Turquoise Team: Declan, Laura and Sarah.
The Pink Team: Samira, Alana and Ben.
The Yellow Team: Jamie, Audra and Snez.
The Orange Team served Gnocchi with Porcini Bolognese Ragu for savoury, and Sourdough Lemon Meringue Doughnuts for sweet. The Turquoise Team, a dish of Choux Buns with Craquelin, Fried Pizza with Stracciatella, Sugo and Salumi XO sauce. The Pink Team opted for a Slow-Cooked Lamb Pita dish and Chinese Doughnuts and The Yellow Team went with an Asian Cold Noodle dish with [rawns and a Cream-Filled Brioche Bun for their sweet.
When it came to judging, Poh, Andy, Sofia and Jean-Christophe said that the Yellow Team’s rush to finish was evident in their noodle dish, with the sauce tasting bitter. However, they were wowed by the Turquoise Team’s creation and Declan, Laura and Sarah scored immunity from the next elimination.
Episode 26 was another Pressure Test, but this time no one would be eliminated. Instead, the cooks behind the best two dishes would score Immunity.
Depinder, Callum, Theo, Audra, Andre, Beau, and Alana battled it out for the prize. Unlike normal Pressure Tests, which are set by esteemed chefs, the contestants were asked to create their own Pressure-Test-Worthy dish.
The standout dishes were Depinder’s Matcha Cake and Callum’s Cafe Grande dessert that left Poh, Andy, Sofia and Jean-Christophe in shock.
“I don’t even know what to say,” Poh told Callum.
Upon tasting it, all four judges agreed that his dish was highly technical and perfectly executed.
It was Depinder and Callum who scored Immunity from the next elimination challenge.
Episode 25 recap
Today’s Mystery Box was also an epic head-to-head challenge as each pair of contestants was matched with the same Lee Kum Kee sauce. The winner in every pair would earn a spot in this week’s immunity challenge.
Stand out pair Laura and Depinder battled it out with Chiu Chow Style Chilli Oil, and both opted for desserts. Depinder creates a chilli oil ice cream with a coconut sago pudding and a lychee and lime granita. Meanwhile, Laura makes a chilli caramel with pineapple, coconut and lime sorbet and Koreon chilli crisps. The judges gobble up both, but ultimately Depinder takes the win.
Audra and Ben battle it out with Hoisin sauce as their weapon of choice. Playing to her strengths Audra whips up duck pancakes, while Ben opts for a creative rice pudding dessert with coconut, blackberries, dark chocolate and a hoisin caramel. But Audra’s duck pancakes took the win.
Depinder, Callum, Theo, Audra, Andre, Beau and Alana are the seven who will go on to battle it out for this week’s Immunity Cook.
Episode 24 recap
Viral week was still in full swing on this week’s MasterChef, with viral food influencer chef Andy Cooks setting the challenges. Round one challenged our cooks to pull off an epic cheese-pull, while second round pushed chefs to create a ‘satisfying slice’.
Round one is a tight 45-minute turnaround. At the final tasting, Depinder’s samosas are off the charts, and Jamie’s Korean cheese corn with bulgogi beef super impresses the judges.
Sadly, Andre’s 4-cheese Zeppole with anchovy and onion isn’t fully cooked, as was Sofia’s bread. Darrsh’s blue cheese fails to yield an epic cheese-pull, placing them at the bottom for round two.
Round two offers the contestants 75 minutes to create the ‘perfect slice’. Callum tops the cohort with a strawberries and cream dessert with a chocolate disk. Meanwhile, Samira claws her way from the bottom in round one to judge favourite in round two with Lamb maqluba.
With his blue-cheese being an epic-pull fail and his choux pastry totally burned in round two, Darrsh bids farewell to the MasterChef kitchen.
Episode 23 recap
It’s viral week on MasterChef and our cooks are dealing with deli meats and fast fusions. Who will be granted immunity?
Before round one, the chefs are greeted with a smorgasbord of deli meats. The challenge? Serve up the ultimate deli sandwich featuring at least one of the meats on the counter.
Jamie, Declan and Andre top the class for this round. Jamie plates up a Croque Madame sandwich with béchamel, ham and gooey hot honey. After frying his taste buds and mistaking capsicum for scotch bonnet pepper, Declan powered through with a classic ham and cheese combo with homemade crisps and pickles. Andre also opted for classic deli delish with a Sicilian caponata and ricotta cream sandwich.
Inspired by the viral cronut, the challenge of creating one perfect mash-up dish stood between one of our chefs and immunity. Jamie opted for Korean fried chicken tacos, Declan created a ‘lobby-lair’ lobster eclaire, and Andre concocted a caprese salad with ravioli and a sweet custard filling, which he called a ‘caprese dolce’.
Ultimately, the judges awarded Declan immunity.
Episode 22 recap
Snez, Ben, Laura and Andre on MasterChef. Image: Ten.
Dessert Masters winner John Demetriosreturned to the MasterChef Australia kitchen to set a Pressure Test for Snez, Andre, Ben and Laura. They were tasked with recreating his Chocolate Meteor.
Andre faced some troubles when he overheated his chocolate, which put him behind. Then, he overcooked his biscuit. To make matters work, the balloon remained stuck inside his dish. Unsurprisingly, the judges had some pretty harsh criticism for his dessert.
Ben had a similar problem; while he was happy with his dish, he too was unable to remove a piece of balloon from the chocolate shell at the end, which meant the judges were unable to flambe his chocolate egg. However, they were impressed with the other elements.
On the other side of things, the judges were blown away by Laura’s creation, with John calling it “absolutely delicious”. Snez also produced a near-perfect-looking replication, and the inside was just as good.
In the end, the judges deemed Snez’s dish the best, and she won Immunity for the next challenge.
Episode 21 recap
Sooshi Mango on MasterChef Australia. Image: Ten.
Social media sensation Mango Sooshi joined the MasterChef judges for an Italian-themed Mystery Box challenge.
However, the home cooks weren’t told who had set the challenge, and Joe, Carlo and Andrew watched them make their creations from a private room with a TV screen.
During the cook, Sooshi Mango weighed in on the happenings in their typical “Italian nonna” characters, which they broadcast online. Once the dishes were ready, they entered the MasterChef kitchen and gave feedback to the contestants.
The trio and MasterChef Australia 2025 judges loved Laura, Snez, Ben, and Andre’s dishes. Laura made Chestnut Garganelli with Osso Bucco and Peas, Snez served a Fregola Soup with Baccala and Pipis , Ben whipped up Salt Cod Croquettes with Sugo and Basil Mayonnaise while Andre presented the judges with Buttermilk Ricotta Gnocchi with Charred Cucumber Consommé and Borage Oil.
Those four contestants were sent through to the next Pressure Test, which will be another Viral Week challenge.
Episode 20 recap
The MasterChef Australia contestants. Image: Instagram.
The teams that didn’t win Episode 19’s Team Relay were sent through to an Elimination Challenge set by Jean-Christophe Novelli and were tasked with creating a dish that celebrated butter.
The judges loved Samira’s Fateh Jaj with Andy raving about it and saying that it’s likely the best thing he will eat all month. The judges also loved Alana’s dessert, which Sofia called a “love letter to butter”, and Audra’s Frangipane Tart impressed Jean-Christophe to no end.
On the other side of things, Ben’s dish of Lamb Filet in Beurre Noisette, with Freekeh Tabbouleh, Anchovy Butter and Parsnip Purée is not all he hoped it would be, and the judges agreed. It looked like there was a chance Ben would be sent home wearing his Immunity Pin. Tim was also in trouble – his duck dish was undercooked and the fat hadn’t rendered down.
The judges said that Beau, Jamie, and Samira had the best dishes of the day, and Ben and Tim were the bottom two. Ultimately, Tim was sent home.
“Obviously, getting eliminated is never fun, and as I’m watching it, I’m coming up with, like, 10 other dishes I could have cooked instead of the damn attempt at doing a confit duck in 75 minutes,” Tim told Chattr in a post-elimination interview.
Episode 19 recap
The Red Team. Image: Ten.
The contestants geared up for a high-stakes Team Relay challenge, where they were split into four teams.
Each member is responsible for one part of the dish, then passes the baton to the next, with just thirty seconds to communicate before the handoff. They were asked to include potatoes in more than one component on their plate.
The teams were:
Purple Team – Depinder, Laura, Andre and Callum
Yellow Team – Darrsh, Audra, Theo and Beau
Red Team – Sarah, Samira, Jamie and Alana
Green team – Snez, Declan, Tim and Ben
The judges loved the Yellow Team’s dish, with Poh Ling Yeow calling the pork “perfect” and Sofia adding that it was a “solid dish”. The Purple Team also got rave reviews from the judges.
The Green Team were given positive feedback about their cooking of their pan-fried whiting. However, they failed to include more than one variation of the potatoes and were disqualified. The Red Team also struggled with communication, and Jean-Christophe Novelli wasn’t impressed with the dish.
It was the Purple Team who took out the win, with Sofia saying she could have “devoured the whole thing” on her own.
Episode 18 recap
Audra, Sarah, Rue and Tim. Image: Ten.
Episode 18 saw Tim, Audra, Sarah, and Rue compete against one another for another Pressure Test—which, unsurprisingly, was a dessert again. They were asked to recreate five plates of guest chef Blayne Bertoncello’s Sourdough and Strawberry with Elderflower and Balsamic.
The judges were impressed with Audra and Sarah’s creations, but thought Rue and Tim’s were lacking. Ultimately, Rue was sent home, with the judges saying that her pastry cream was overcooked and her strawberry gum emulsion was almost entirely lacking.
“I knew I was gonna go home. I didn’t think I I deserved to stay more than [Tim],” Rue told Chattr in a post elimination interview.
“He also worked really hard in that Pressure Test, and he did have a few flaws, but I feel like a bad pastry cream is, like, you know, you’re gonna go home, because that was pretty much the base of the dessert.”
Episode 17 recap
The MasterChef Australian contestants before the Mystery Box challenge. Image: Ten.
In Episode 17, the MasterChef Australia contestants geared up for a Mystery Box challenge with Ixta Belfrage. The box contained prawns, bonito, masa flour, coconut milk, mango, basil, okra, pineapple, limes, dried hibiscus, and cinnamon sticks.
Of course, there was a twist — there was an extra small Mystery Box and contestants wouldn’t know the ingredient inside it until 30 minutes into the challenge. The contestants were required to use at least one item from the main Mystery Box, as well as whatever was in the second box, and the bottom four dishes would be sent through to the next Pressure Test.
There were chillies inside the second box, which most of the contestants integrated well into their dishes. However, Tim, Audra, Sarah, and Rue struggled with their cook, and they will compete against each other in the elimination round.
Episode 16 recap
Alana, Sarah and Jamie in the Elimination Challenge. Image: Ten.
The two teams that failed to impress the judges the most in episode 15 headed into the elimination round, which meant that Alana, Darrsh, Jamie, Laura, Rhiannon, Audra, Rue, Samira, Sarah, Snez and Tim were all cooking for their lives in the competition.
They were set a task by Josh Niland to create a dish with a spin on the classic Surf and Turf.
The judges were unsure about Rhiannon’s dish — Lobster Wontons in Beef Broth — and Darrsh’s creation of Beef Bone Marrow Sticky Date Pudding with Fish Sauce Butterscotch. However, Darrsh scraped through and Rhiannon was sent home because the judges weren’t impressed with the skin on her dumplings.
“I was actually really upset because this was not how I wanted to go out,” she told Chattr in a post-elimination interview.
“But I also know that I did push myself beyond my limits. So, I was just really proud of what I did this season. I definitely didn’t want to go at that particular time, and I would have fought as long as I could. But, it just wasn’t my day.”
Episode 15 recap
MasterChef contestants in Sydney. Image: Ten.
The scene was set for an impressive challenge, with Episode 15 taking place underneath the Sydney Harbour Bridge with the iconic Opera House as a backdrop. The contestants were divided into teams, and asked to elevate a classic pub feed.
Blue: Alana, Darrsh, Jamie, Laura and Rhiannon
Orange: Andre, Beau, Ben, Callum, Depinder
Green: Audra, Rue, Samira, Sarah, Snez and Tim
Like most MasterChef challenges, this one had a twist. Three of the contestants started the meal, and the other three teammates stepped in halfway through to finish it.
The green team was sent straight through to the Immunity Challenge as their starter contained scales, and the main was overcooked.
While the judges were impressed by both the Orange and Blue teams, the Orange team took the win, meaning that Andre, Beau, Ben, Callum, and Depinder were safe from the upcoming elimination round.
Episode 14 recap
Ben, Tim, Jimmy and Rue at the Pressure Test. Image: Ten.
After Monday’s creative Mystery Box challenge, the four contestants facing the Pressure Test were Tim, Rue, Ben and Jimmy. Ben had an immunity pin, but decided not to use it this time.
For this pressure test the challenge is set by two-time World Pastry Champion Steven He. The challenge? Oh, just create a literal balloon puppy out of chocolate sponge, shortbread, sour cherry compote and a white chocolate black tea ganache. Can’t be too hard right?
Unfortunately, Tim and Jimmy had never tempered white chocolate — so creating a balloon animal out of it wasn’t an easy feat.
After a long and grueling three hours, the balloon puppy closest to Steven’s was from Ben. While it resembled more of a rabbit than a puppy, it was pretty spectacular.
Sadly, it was Jimmy’s puppy that was the furthest from Steven’s. Andy even called it a “potato ready to sprout”. Jimmy was then eliminated from the competition.
Episode 13 recap
Contestants and their Mystery Box. Image: Ten.
Episode 13 saw another Mystery Box challenge, with a twist. Unlike the normal mystery box where you open the lid to see what’s inside, this mystery box needed to be unwrapped.
Made from paperbark, vine leaf, lotus lead, pandan, corn husk, cabbage, betel leaf, banana leaf and parchment paper — the challenge this week was to cook a dish wrapped in one these ingredients. The catch? They will only know if their dish is properly cooked once the judges unwrap it.
Highlights from this week’s mystery box challenges were Laura’s “incredible” paper bark and lemon myrtle wrapped coral trout with arrigal greens, Snez’ melt-in-your-mouth cabbage rolls, and Jamie’s tamales with banana leaf.
Unfortunately, the bottom four for this challenge were Rue, Ben, Jimmy and Tim. So who will be going home?
Episode 12 recap
Matt and his Bombe Alaska. Image: Ten.
Episode 12 kicked off with Showstoppers Week. This week contestants were cooking to save themselves, with a pesky challenge all about “tableside theatre”. What does that mean, you might ask? Well, it’s all about adding flair to a dish, it’s that va va voom dining experience. Think: fire and liquid nitrogen.
Facing off this challenge were Rue, Theo, Andre, Depinder, Beau, Snez, Tim, Matt and Jamie. Stand out dishes this week were Depinder’s flavour explosion with dish ‘Raj Kachori’, Beau’s theatrical ‘Home among the Gumtrees’ dessert with black tea ice cream and Anzac biscuit, and Jamie’s “well-executed” comte custard, macadamia and pear sorbet with flavoured cloud.
This left Matt, Rue and Snez’ heads on the chopping block. Ultimately, it was Matt’s “wet” Bombe Alaska that sent him home.
Episode 11 recap
Jean-Christophe on MasterChef Australia. Image: Ten.
In Episode 11, the MasterChef Australia contestants were divided up into four teams for a Service Challenge run by judge Jean Christophe Novelli.
The teams were as follows:
Brown: Andre, Depinder, Rue, Theo and Ben.
Green: Laura, Jimmy, Samira, Alana and Rhiannon.
Blue: Darrsh, Declan, Audra, Callum and Sarah.
Grey: Snez, Matt, Tim, Beau and Jamie.
They were asked to cook a dessert and a main. One dish had to be a classic French dish, and the other should have a French twist.
Two teams were awarded Immunity — the green team and the blue team. Meaning that Andre, Depinder, Rue, Theo, Ben, Snez, Matt, Tim, Beau and Jamie were sent through to the upcoming Elimination Challenge.
Episode 10 recap
Snez, Ben, Andre and Jimmy. Image: Ten.
Episode 10 of MasterChef Australia Back to Win 2025 saw celebrity chef Curtis Stone return to the show as a guest judge for the Immunity Challenge.
Up for the cook were Snez, Ben, Andre and Jimmy, who were tasked with recreating Curtis’ Pork Loin with Beurre Monté, Braised Fennel, Pistachio Dukkah, and Carrot Puree. However, they’d had to use their initiative as they weren’t given a recipe.
Ben and Snez impressed the judges the most. Snez for her perfectly cooked pork, and Ben for practically making a carbon copy of Curtis’ creation. But it was Ben who scored the win, giving him Immunity (again!) for the next elimination round.
Episode 9 recap
Andre cooking during episode 9 of MasterChef Australia. Image: Ten.
During Episode 9, the cast was set the task of cooking with kitchen leftovers provided by the judges.
Andy’s group consisted of Jamie, Beau, Callum, Rhiannon, and Tim and was given Herb stalks. Jean-Christophe’s team consisted of Snezana, Laura, Samira, Andre, Rue, Alana, Ben, and Matt, and they got rinds.
Meanwhile, Poh Ling Yeow‘s group of Audra, Darrsh, and Depinder had pastry offcuts and Sofia Levin‘s group of Declan, Jimmy, Sarah, and Theo were given leftover pickle juice.
It was Andre, Jimmy, Snez, and Ben who impressed the judges the most, and they were sent through to the Episode 10 Pressure Test, where they will face off in the hope of winning Immunity.
However, the fun didn’t end there; the judges crowned Andre’s dish the winner, and he scored a $5000 LG voucher to help stock his dream kitchen.
Episode 8 recap
Steph, Jamie, Andre, Snezana, Matt and Tim on MasterChef. Image: Ten.
Episode 8 saw the return of the Cube Taste Challenge, which involves blindfolded contestants tasting small cubes of food that they had to correctly identify to avoid elimination.
However, the challenge had a twist this year: contestants were divided into three teams of six, and only one person per team participated in the challenge. The first contestant to guess wrong in the Cube Taste Test would send their entire team to the Elimination Challenge.
Jamie made the first blunder by incorrectly identifying a strawberry cube, and he, Steph, Andre, Snezana, Tim, and Matt were sent through to round two. They were told that they could cook anything they liked, but only the ingredients from the Cube Taste Challenge would be available.
Jamie struggled after overcooking his duck but managed to get a fresh piece cooked and served right before the time ran out.
Meanwhile, Steph was happy with her Pork Belly dish. However, the judges said the fat on the pork hadn’t rendered, and the bechamel in her sauce was too strong, and she was eliminated from the competition.
Episode 7 recap
Shannon Bennett with the MasterChef judges. Image: Ten.
Guest judge Shannon Bennett handed the MasterChef 2025 contestants a 20-minute Challenge. It was pretty self-explanatory—they could cook whatever they wanted as long as it was done within 20 minutes.
The judges were impressed by most of the dishes served to them, though there were some criticisms. Poh told Rhiannon her prawns were undercooked, and Andy said Audra should have used more acid in her seafood dish.
“It was so tough to choose a winner,” Sofia told the group. “But there was one dish that had us fighting over the last morsel.”
That person was Theo for his Loukoumades with Mandarin, Lemon, Thyme and Honey Syrup and Mahlab Glaze. As a result, he was granted immunity from the next Elimination Challenge, the Cube Taste Test, which will air on Sunday.
Episode 6 recap
Sav on MasterChef. Image: Ten.
Episode 6 of MasterChef Australia was the first Pressure Test of the season, and Sarah, Darrsh, Ben, and Sav battled it out to remain in the competition.
The queen of Chocolate and Dessert Masters alumni, Kirsten Tibballs, set the task, which involved recreating a chocolate tin filled with ‘caviar’ — made of coffee on chocolate mousse and cake.
Kristin was impressed with Ben and Sarah’s final dish, but thought Darrsh’s chocolate tin was too thick.
However, the judges deemed Sav’s dish to look the most different from Kristen’s, and she was eliminated from the competition.
Episode 5 recap
Tim cooking in the Mystery Box Challenge. Image: Ten.
Episode 5 was the first Mystery Box Challenge of the season.
The episode saw guest judge Peter Gilmore reveal a box of ingredients including chicken, baby squid, lemon, eggplant, cherries, spring onion, vanilla, oloroso cherry, prunes, dark chocolate, leeks, kombu, and gochujang.
The contestants had 75 minutes to make their dish, and were required to use at least one of the ingredients from the box. The three dishes that impressed the judges the least were sent to the next Elimination Cook, where they’d be joined by Sarah, who was still off sick. Those chefs were Darrsh, Sav and Ben.
Episode 4 recap
The MasterChef contestants in the kitchen. Image: Ten.
In Episode 4 of MasterChef Australia the contestants were asked to cook dishes that represented how far they have come since their first appearance on the show.
Audra was safe after winning the challenge in Episode 3 and watched on from the galley. Sarah, who was unwell and missed the challenge, was automatically sent through to the next Elimination Cook.
It was Tim, Samira and Cath who landed in the bottom three. Samira for dulling the flavour on her Shakirya, Tim for choosing to cook a sub-par Toastie and Cath for burning the mushrooms on her hibachi grilled Japanese dish.
However, Cath’s dish ultimately impressed the judges the least, and she was the first person eliminated from the competition.
“Someone has to go first, you know, and that’s me. Reflecting afterwards, I’m just so proud and just really grateful,” she said.
“I did have a little bit of a laugh about myself thinking, ‘Well, you know what, someone has to go out first’. I remember saying to Rue, ‘I’m a sacrificial lamb’. But I tell you what, I’m a beautiful, slow-cooked lamb, that is so delicious,” Cath added.
Episode 3 recap
The MasterChef Australia judges during Episode 3. Image: Ten.
A Network 10 spokesperson told Chattr that Pete left the show due to a medical diagnosis.
“During production of MasterChef Australia: Back To Win, Pete Campbell received a diagnosis that required him to step away from the competition to focus on his health,” they began.
“The MasterChef family supports Pete in his recovery and hopes to see him back doing what he loves in the kitchen very soon.”
The contestant later revealed it was due to his cancer diagnosis, and thanked fans for the support.
After receiving the news from Andy, the cooks pulled themselves together and battled it out to serve up a delicious late-night snack. There was a lot at steak, because not only did the winner win immunity, their creation would be a new menu addition in one of Gordon Ramsay‘s London restaurants.
In the end, Audra’s fusion dish of Indian Spiced Prawn Takoyaki took out the top spot.
“I call this The Magic to a Happy Marriage,” Audra told the judges. “It’s when a half-Indian woman, a very clever one, marries a half-Japanese man… and it looks so much like a takoyaki, but it’s fully South Indian on the inside.”
Andy declared it was “perfection”, before Audra started to tear up from the judges’ feedback. She’s definitely one to watch!
Episode 2 recap
MasterChef Australia 2025 contestants competing in an Immunity Pin challenge. Image: Ten.
MasterChef Australia Episode 2 saw Celebrity Chef Gordon Ramsay put eight contestants to the test in a Keep Up Challenge, which involved recreating two of his dishes, with an Immunity Pin on the line.
Ahead of the episode, MasterChef Australia 2025 judge Poh told Chattr that Gordon “takes no prisoners”, which was clearly demonstrated in the episode.
The Hell’s Kitchen star dished out his instructions at a speedy pace as Rue, Cath, Darrsh, Callum, Ben, Rhiannon, Audra and Matt barely managed to keep up.
In the end, it was Ben who impressed the five judges the most and was awarded the only Immunity Pin of the season.
Episode 1 recap
Guest judge Gordon Ramsay with MasterChef Australia 2025 judges Sofia, Poh, Jean-Christophe and Poh. Image: Ten.
The MasterChef Australia 2025 premiere kicked off with an appearance from Gordon as a Celebrity Judge, who told the contestants they’d be split into three teams and competing in a Service Challenge.
The Blue Team consisted of Samira, Depinder, Theo, Jamie, Alana, Jimmy, Laura. The Red Team had Steph, Andrew, Sav, Pete, Declan, Beau, Tim, while the Green team was made up of Rue, Rhiannon, Matt, Audra, Darrsh, Ben, Cath.
The judges announced that three more contestants who’ve competed on MasterChef multiple times would return: Sarah for the Blue Team, Laura for the Red Team, and Callum for the Green Team.
“You’ve got people like Laura, Callum and Sarah who are obviously there for a third time. And I feel like that goes to show how much this competition means to people,” judge Andy told Chattr of the veterans’ return.
But the Green Team impressed Gordon and the judges Poh, Andy, Sofia, and Jean-Christophethe most, and they were sent through to the Immunity Pin challenge in the next episode.
MasterChef Australia airs on Sunday at 7pm and Monday – Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel 10 and 10Play.

Dancing With The Stars 2025 is off to a trotting start, with 12 celebrities competing for the coveted glittering Mirrorball Trophy. While there’s no cash prize for the winner, the celebrity who comes out on top will have something much more important — bragging rights.
The 12 celebrities have been matched with professional dancers, and we’ll be saying goodbye to the pair with the lowest score each week. Will there be any surprises in store?
Here’s who’s been eliminated from Dancing With The Stars 2025 so far.
Rebecca Gibney
Rebecca Gibney and Ian Waite. Image: Seven.
Rebecca Gibney was the third celebrity to be eliminated from Dancing with the Stars 2025. The Logie-winning actress danced a paso doble to Whitney Houston’s Queen of the Night with her partner Ian Waite and received a score of 28 points.
Paired with her earlier scores, Rebecca was safe from elimination and Harry Garside was at the bottom of the leaderboard with a score of 25. However, a twist came into play that saw a studio audience vote combined with the judges’ scores. The new approach saw Harry pushed up the leaderboard, and Rebecca was sent home.
Karina Carvalho
Karina Carvalho and her professional dance partner, Andrey Gorbunov
Sadly, in round two, it was Karina Carvalho and partner Andrey Gorbunov who bid farewell to the ballroom. Despite improving in leaps and bounds from round one, their stiff Cha Cha placed second-last in the judges’ scoring. Osher Günsberg was scored last, but, sadly, in the elimination, the audience decided that Karina and Andrey would shimmy and shake no more.
“It’s been such a thrill. We’ve had so much fun training,” Karina told hosts Sonia Kruger and Dr. Chris Brown. The newsreader couldn’t sing higher praise of her dance partner. “Andrey is not just a fantastic, highly qualified dancer, he’s such a great teacher and he’s so patient, and he’s put together the most beautiful choreography for us,” said Karina.
After both dancers thanked the audience, it was Andrey’s turn to gush about Karina. “Under her newsreader persona, she’s very fun and a good person, and I think she did great.”
Susie O’Neill
Susie O’Neill. Image: Instagram
Susie O’Neill and Lyu Masuda’s round one tango didn’t go down well with the judges, and her score of 13 was the writing on the wall. Sadly, this is the second year in a row Lyu has been sent home first! Harry Garside and Siobhan Power narrowly avoided elimination, so they could potentially be next.
Susie said it was “really hard” to pull on her dancing shoes, but she seemed grateful for the experience. “I’ve never cried so much, honestly, but in a good way,” she said. “The stuff Lyu and I have learnt over time, it has been amazing. But it’s been a tough journey.”
Lyu was really encouraging and had a lot of love for Susie. “The change I’ve seen in Susie, even from day one, where she couldn’t even touch me, to now, she walks into the studio and has her chest held up high. She’s walking like a dancer,” Lyu said.
Sonia said Susie has brought “so much joy” to viewers around the country, so it’s sad to see them go.

It’s all about unfinished business on MasterChef Australia 2025, as some of the most unforgettable contestants who were left hungry for more return for another epic Back to Win season.
From 2012’s Audra Morrice to more recent standouts like 2023’s Declan Cleary and 2024’s Sav Perera, the MasterChef Australia 2025 cast is stacked with fan favourites and some serious culinary talent, all stepping back into the kitchen for one more shot at the coveted trophy.
The chefs will once again have to face high-stakes Pressure Tests, Mystery Box Challenges, Service Challenges and, of course, those dreaded elimination rounds.
Whether they narrowly missed the title the first time around or bowed out too soon, these returning chefs are hungrier than ever to prove they’ve got what it takes.
The MasterChef Back to Win cast. Image: Ten.
Standing between them and the crown is the formidable panel of MasterChef Australia judges: the ever-charming Andy Allen, food critic Sofia Levin, beloved cook Poh Ling Yeow, and multi-Michelin-starred French chef Jean-Christophe Novelli. And of course, there’ll be a surprise guest judge or two along the way, including Gordon Ramsay, who’s set to make an appearance this season.
The last MasterChef: Back to Win season in 2020 saw chef and cake designer Emelia Jackson (who originally placed third in Season 6) take out the win, walking away with a $250,000 cash prize and the title of MasterChef champion.
Sadly, however, in the race to make one chef’s MasterChef dream come true, we’ll have to say goodbye to contestants along the way. You can catch up on everything that happens in each MasterChef Australia 2025 episode here.
So, who has left the MasterChef Australia 2025 kitchen so far? Scroll through to find out.
Everyone who has left MasterChef Australia 2025
Alana Lowes
Alana. Image: Ten.
Alana Lowes found herself in a ‘dual duel,’ which saw her tackle a one-on-one cook against Sarah, while Laura went up against Snez. The judges deemed Snez and Sarah’s dishes the most impressive, so Alana and Laura cooked against each other in an elimination challenge and were required to use fennel seeds in their dish.
Laura served up a Chilled Squid and Fennel Noodle dish while Alana opted for a Sour Cherry Sorbet and Candied Fennel Stalks.
Unfortunately for Alana, the judges said that while her fennel seed flavour was there, it battled to shine through against all the other elements, and she was sent home.
Audra Morrice
Audra Morrice on Masterchef Australia. Image: Ten
In a devastating turn, Sunday’s Elimination Cook saw Audra say goodbye to the MasterChef kitchen, again. Audra originally made it to the top 3 on MasterChef Australia in 2012, was a co-host for MasterChef Asia in 2015, and a judge on MasterChef Singapore. But, sadly, her second turn on Back To Win has come to an end.
Tasked with cooking a dish that transports you to another country, Audra went with a classic Spanish Paella. However, due to her dish’s numerous issues, including watery consistency and unevenly cooked seafood, she was asked to hang up her apron.
Andre Ursini
Dessert was Andre’s downfall. Image: Ten
Andre struggled with Philip Khoury‘s Pressure Test: a plant-based dessert called Dawn of a Tropical New Day. Contestants had to create an intricately decorated dish, with coconut, white chocolate, fresh mango compote and coconut chantilly.
Sadly, Andre’s sponge and chocolate shell were too thick, affecting the flavours. After a good run in MasterChef Australia 2025, he was sent home.
Declan Cleary
Declan just missed out on a place in the top 10. Image: Ten.
Fans were left saddened after Declan’s Inside Out Skewers failed to impress, with the judges citing that the dish was incomplete. The cooking task was set by Aussie icon Maggie Beer, with the challenge being a “decreasing time versus increasing ingredients” task.
Sadly, Declan just missed out on a place in the top 10 thanks to his sauceless slaw, with the judges wanting to see a more cohesive plate.
Theo Loizou
Theo with Sofia and Andy. Image: Ten.
Curtis Stone returned for another cook-along, which unfortunately sent Theo packing. Ben, Jamie, Sarah and Theo were tasked with his cooking Slow-Cooked Lamb Raviolo, and it looked like Jamie was in trouble when he had to redo his Ricotta.
However, Theo faced a bigger problem: his ricotta didn’t set, and his pasta was undercooked, leading to his elimination.
“I was really disappointed, but at the same time I was kind of relieved as well in a way,” he told Chattr in a post-elimination interview.
“It was quite hard this time around, against seasoned chefs. I’m, like, an infant in this industry, so I’m still trying to find my feet, and it was really difficult competing against such good cooks. It was really disappointing, though, because obviously I wanted to go further and win.”
Beau Cook
Beau on Masterchef Australia: Back To Win.
On last night’s Sweet Week Elimination Cook, the chefs were tasked with crafting a mindblowing dessert inspired by their childhood memories, and whoever impressed the judges the least would be hanging up their apron. After his Spider Splice with homemade Cola ice fizzled, the judges bid goodbye to Beau.
“It was a sense of disappointment and relief,” Beau told Chattr of his elimination. “Obviously, I’d had a really good couple of weeks leading up to that, I didn’t think I’d actually get to that point and do that well with some of the food. But, I was excited to get home and just get back into some projects.”
Samira El Khafir
Samira on MasterChef. Image: Ten.
Samira was sent home during an elimination that required four of the contestants to cook a MasterChef-worthy dish using a selection of the 40+ ingredients. She chose to make a Turkish Chicken and Eggplant Kofta, but her chicken, which she cooked on the hibachi, ended up being too dry.
It was the second MasterChef Australia 2025 journey that ended after a hibachi cook. Cath was also sent home earlier in the season because her cooking method on the hibachi caused some of the mushrooms to burn.
“I think there’s a curse about it, because the hibachi, for some reason, was just not as hot as it was meant to be,” Samira laughed in a post-elimination interview with Chattr.
“At the end of the day, it is what it is. It happened. I left, and it’s time to move on and focus on the future,” she added.
Darrsh Clarke
Darrsh was up against Ben, Callum, Andre and Samira in an elimination round set by viral online chef Andy Cooks. After their epic cheese-pull dishes were deemed not so epic in the first challenge, Andy challenged the chefs to create a “satisfying slice” to save their aprons.
Sticking to what he knows, Darrsh plated up a Choux pastry bun – with a twist! This time it was Choux-ception, with Darrsh attempting a Choux bun inside a Choux bun. The outer bun would have an orange blossom crème pâtissière inside, while the inner bun was stuffed with a pistachio praline.
Despite bold intentions, Darrsh used too many eggs and plated up a burnt pastry. With the judges unimpressed, Darrsh bid farewell to the MasterChef Australia kitchen for the second year in a row.
On his exit, Darrsh said, “meeting all of these amazing people, it’s been very inspiring to be around, and I think just having that energy to be around you really motivates you, and I’m really excited for what’s next.”
Tim Bone
Tim Bone on MasterChef. Image: Ten.
Sunday night’s episode of MasterChef saw 12 of the contestants fighting for their apron in a Pressure Test. The challenge, set by Jean-Christophe Novelli, was to hero butter in a dish. Unfortunately, fan fave Tim Bone was sent home after choosing to cook confit duck with only 75 minutes of cooking time.
Tim plated up a Confit Duck with Celeriac Purée, Miso Mushrooms and Asparagus for the judges. Sadly though, the duck was undercooked and tough, while the other flavours were muddled and the butter didn’t stand out.
When speaking to the judges, Tim said: “The pressure does get to you, you do get in your own head.”
Tim lamented that he wanted to “get back to the bloke” he was the last time he was on MasterChef, because “he was just loving life.”
Rue Mupedzi
Rue Mupedzi on MasterChef. Image: Ten.
Rue Mupedzi went up against Sarah, Tim and Audra in a Pressure Test set by Blayne Bertoncello.
The cooks had to create Blayne’s technical Variations of Sourdough and Strawberry with Elderflower and Balsamic dessert. But instead of making one dish, they had to make five!
The judges were impressed with Audra and Sarah’s creations, but thought Rue and Tim’s were lacking. Ultimately, Rue was sent home, with the judges saying that her pastry cream was overcooked and her strawberry gum emulsion was almost entirely lacking.
“I was very bummed, because I felt like I still had so much more to showcase, so much more to give and unfortunately, that doesn’t always happen,” Rue told Chattr of her elimination.
“I felt like, Oh, I’m saving all these good dishes so that I can make them another time, and another time never came. So it was just like, you know, really disappointing not having had the opportunity to make some creative ideas that I had.”
Rhiannon Anderson
Rhiannon on MasterChef. Image: Ten.
Rhiannon Anderson was sent home during a Surf and Turf challenge set by Josh Niland. The contestants were asked to create a dish with a spin on the classic meal.
Rhiannon opted for Lobster Wontons with Beef Broth. Unfortunately, Andy said she veered too far away from her usual cooking, and she was eliminated from the competition.
“I’ll stick to the original [Surf and Turf],” Rhiannon told Chattr in a post-elimination interview.
“It’s so funny because it was mine and Dino’s first date meal, and I always cook it for him, the original. So, I’m definitely not going on the modern take anymore,” she laughed.
Jimmy Wong
Jimmy Wong on MasterChef Australia. Image: Ten.
Viewers said goodbye to another lovable MasterChef Australia contestant when Jimmy Wong was sent home during the Pressure Test set by celebrated pastry chef Steven He.
Jimmy was emotional when he found out that he was leaving the competition, but told Chattr that despite his disappointment, his time on the show was “magical”.
“To be quite honest, I’ve enjoyed every minute,” he added.
Matt Hopcraft
Matt on MasterChef. Image: Ten.
Loveable dentist Matt Hopcraft was the fourth person eliminated from MasterChef Australia Back to Win 2025.
The May 18 episode kicked off Showstoppers week, and the first stop was an Elimination Round. The contestants were asked to create a dish with “tabletop theatre,” and Sofia explained that each dish would need to have an impressive flair.
Dephinder’s Raj Kachori Volcano did just that, with Andy saying that her dish worked “seamlessly”. However, Matt, Rue, and Snez’s dishes missed the mark, and they were announced as the bottom three.
Ultimately, it was Matt who was eliminated for his Anzac Biscuit Bombe Alaska dessert named The Rising Sun because his meringue split.
“It’s kind of gutting,” Matt said of his elimination. “Everyone’s going to be eliminated at some point, except for the one person who wins, but you want to be eliminated cooking something that’s really good, and you’ve just been beaten by other people who’ve done better.
“So it’s a little bit disappointing, but I was still really, really proud of what I did by taking a risk and trying to push myself to meet that particular brief.”
Steph De Souza
Steph on MasterChef 2025. Image: Ten.
Steph De Souza was put up for an elimination cook after Jamie guessed the wrong ingredient in the taste test. Jamie’s team was told that they were able to cook anything they like, but the pantry was only made up of ingredients from the taste test.
While Jamie struggled with his overcooked duck, Steph seemed relatively happy with her Crispy Pork Belly with Belachan Sauce.
However, the judges weren’t on the same page. They said that there was too much Belachan in the caramel sauce, and that the fat hadn’t rendered on the pork.
“I was actually really happy with my dish. So it’s always disappointing when you go out on something that you like,” Steph told Chattr in a post-elimination interview.
Looking back on her dish, Steph said that despite her elimination, she was proud of what she served the judges..
“I still stand by it, which is probably stupid,” Steph laughed. “I really liked it. I really honestly felt that the sauce kind of balanced out the fattiness of the pork, but you know, everyone’s got different palettes, and I do like things that are really funky and really strong.”
Sav Perera
Sav cooking in the Pressure Cook round. Image: Ten.
Fan favourite Sav Perera was eliminated during the Episode 6 Pressure Cook round.
Sav was put up against Ben, Sarah and Darrsh after the squid dish she cooked in the Mystery Box round wasn’t big enough for all of the judges to try.
During the elimination round, Sav forgot to chill her chocolate tin, which meant that it didn’t have enough time to form a shell, and bent out of shape when she tried to take it out of the mould.
Cath Collins
Cath on MasterChef. Image: Ten.
Cath Collins, who finished fifth on MasterChef Australia 2023, was the first Back to Win 2025 contestant eliminated.
Cath chose to cook a Japanese-inspired dish: marinated Japanese grilled mushrooms, furikake, pickled wakame, smoked soy cream, and shiso gel on the hibachi. However, her cooking method caused some of the mushrooms to burn, which led to her elimination.
Cath told Chattr in a post-elimination interview that she was “just devastated” to be the first person sent home from the competition. She said that it “never, ever entered” her mind that she’d be gone so early.
Pete Campbell
Pete on MasterChef. Image: Ten.
The first departure for 2025 was a particularly sad one. At the beginning of the episode, Andy announced that Pete Campbell was leaving MasterChef Australia.
“Before we kick things off, I’ve got some news,” the MasterChef judge began. “Due to personal reasons, Pete is unable to continue in the competition, and we wish him nothing but the best.”
A Network 10 spokesperson told Chattr that Pete left the show due to a medical diagnosis, which Pete has since confirmed is cancer.
“During production of MasterChef Australia: Back To Win, Pete Campbell received a diagnosis that required him to step away from the competition to focus on his health,” they began.
“The MasterChef family supports Pete in his recovery and hopes to see him back doing what he loves in the kitchen very soon.”
Shortly after Episode 3 of MasterChef Australia 2025 aired, Pete took to Instagram to confirm that this departure was due to being diagnosed with cancer.
“Didn’t even get to cook for the judges! But you know what they say… ‘if you have cancer, you should go get chemo,’” he wrote.
“A massive thank you to everyone messaging and checking in, you’re all so nice.”
MasterChef Australia season 17 airs in 2025 on 10 and 10Play.
The Block is back for 2025, and for the first time ever, this season’s Blockheads will be building houses from scratch.
Season 21 will take place in the idyllic country tourist town of Daylesford, Victoria. The teams will be tasked with building houses with exactly the same layout and size as the frames that are already completed when they arrive.
It’s a tall order and among the toughest tasks that any Blockheads have been given before. So, let’s meet the duos who are bravely rising to the challenge!
Sonny and Alicia
Sonny and Alicia, The Block.
Married couple Sonny and Alicia are repping the Gold Coast this season. Both in their early 40s, Sonny is a plumber and Alicia is a dental practice manager. This isn’t their first attempt to join The Block either. “I was really upset last year that we just missed out, so when we got the call to say we were in, it was an amazing feeling,” Alicia said.
Robby and Mat
Robby and Mat on The Block. Image: Nine
Robby and Mat have been besties and business owners for over a decade. Apparently, it was Robby’s idea to apply for The Block while Mat was in Bali celebrating his 40th birthday. The pair are inseparable. “We are just two best mates, a hairdresser and a barber, gay and straight,” says Robby.
Han and Can
Han and Can, The Block. Source: Nine.
Perth couple Han and Can, aka Handy-can and Can-Do-Can, are rearing and ready to go. Han (Hannah) is a geologist, and her girlfriend, Can (Candice), is a social media analyst. Both have always wanted to go on The Block, but couldn’t find the right person to go on it with…until they found each other!
Britt and Taz
Britt and Taz on The Block. Image: Nine
Married with kids and hailing from Newman, Western Australia, Britt and Taz are a force to be reckoned with. Taz, whose full name is Taran, is a proud Aboriginal man from the Tharawal/Dharawal Peoples. And the couple have long-held ambitions of competing on The Block.
Emma and Ben
Emma and Ben, The Block. Image: Nine
Lastly, married high school sweethearts Emma and Ben are a multi-talented pair. Emma is a high school woodwork teacher turned one of Australia’s best pole dancers. Moreover, her husband Ben is an engineer and firefighter with a flair for stand-up comedy.
What a fabulous group. We can’t wait, and we don’t have to wait much longer!
The Block Season 21 premieres on Sunday, July 27 at 7pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
MasterChef: Back To Win is inching closer and closer to revealing a winner. Now, with the top 7 chefs heading into the show’s final days, Judge Andy Allen confirms a long-suspected fan theory.
In an interview with TV Tonight, Allen confirmed that MasterChef Australia shoots multiple endings. The strategy is adopted to confuse fans and to prevent accurate leaks and spoilers from getting out.
“Yes, we still do multiple endings … it’s the only way to get a true winner,” he said.
“You can try and contain the 200 people, I suppose, with friends, family, crew, if you wanted to gamble it. But I think there is so much on the line with this show, the last thing anyone wants is for a production that goes for six months, airs for three months (and then gets spoiled),” Allen continued.
While this strategy has confirmed usage in My Kitchen Rules in 2016, this is the first time it’s been confirmed for this season of MasterChef. When TV Tonight asked Allen to confirm if this means that judges offer contestants fake scores for the sake of the cameras, Allen was more tight-lipped.
“If you want to put it that way…” he told TV Tonight.
Well, there you have it. We don’t know what the players know when these endings are being filmed. However, it’s officially confirmed that MasterChef Australia does film “multiple” endings to produce footage that confuses fans. At least for this season.
Could this also mean that the leaked poster currently sending fans in a tizzy on Facebook is a deliberate trick to fool fans? Sportsbet has placed the most odds on Laura to win, with Callum second and Jamie last. But, as any MasterChef Australia fan will tell you, in the final days of the competition are anyone’s game.
The only way to find out who will win 2025’s blockbuster season will be to keep tuning into MasterChef: Back To Win.
MasterChef Australia airs on Sunday at 7pm and Monday – Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel 10 and 10Play.
We’re down to just eight contestants on MasterChef Australia 2025, and some fans have pointed out a detail that means the winner may have been leaked. Taking to a popular MasterChef Australia Facebook group, one eagle-eyed fan shared that every contestant on a promotional poster has been eliminated… except for one.
“Well, if you believe that the poster tells you the winner, Laura [Sharrad] is the only one left from the promo poster. So I guess the winner has been announced,” the fan claimed.
Another agreed, saying: “When they start the programme, Laura is holding up a trophy.”
However, another pointed out that production often films multiple endings so the winner doesn’t get leaked. Plus, Emilia Jackson won the show in 2020, but she wasn’t included in the original promo imagery.
Other fans weren’t too keen on the idea of Laura taking out the crown, with many preferring Callum Hann to walk away victorious.
“Laura has had her day in the sun with the Coles ice cream promotion. Might be someone else [who wins]? Depinder [Chhibber], Sarah [Todd] or Callum?” a fan pondered.
“I stopped watching because I’m sick of watching [Laura] cook and getting the most air time,” another added.
“I hope it’s not her, she’s painful. I’d love to see Callum win,” a third said.

What are the odds of who wins MasterChef Australia 2025?
According to Sportsbet, Laura Sharrad is currently tipped as the winner with odds of $1.37. Callum is tipped with the next highest odds at $4.00, followed by Sarah at $10.00.
Depinder is tipped to come in 4th with her odds at $11.00. Ben Macdonald rounds out the potential top five with $15.00 odds. Least favoured to win with odds at $34.00 is Jamie, then Alana ($21) and $17 for Snez.
But, as any gambler will tell you, the odds aren’t the be-all end-all. The unexpected happens all the time.
Chefs at the ready for MasterChef Australia
Who wins MasterChef Australia 2025?
Recently eliminated contestant Andre Ursini believes both Callum and Laura have what it takes to go all the way. Could there be truth to this Laura rumour, after all?
“It’s pretty hard to win MasterChef. You need to be good at everything. There’s so many different aspects to it — you need to be good at team challenges, which require a certain skill set. You need to be good at your single dishes, individual dishes, which is another skill set. And you need to be good at following recipes and Pressure Tests,” Andre tells Chattr.
“Callum and Laura are top level at all of the aspects of MasterChef… [but] for me, a dark horse is Depinder,” he reveals. “Everyone who’s a good game player in MasterChef has their own angle at MasterChef. And it was quite interesting for me to sit back and watch their angles, because I didn’t have one. I just went [to] create chaos and have fun.”
Fans have tipped these three to have a strong chance of winning. Image: 10
MasterChef Australia contestant Rue Mupedzi also backs Depinder and Laura. “Depinder is my girl. I am hoping she goes all the way, and Laura is also my girl,” she says.
Looks like there’s a pretty big chance that Laura is the winner of MasterChef Australia 2025 — but anything can happen in the heat of the kitchen. We’ll have to sit tight and wait for more episodes to drop.
MasterChef Australia airs on Sunday at 7pm and Monday – Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel 10 and 10Play.
If you love a bit of drama mixed in with your home reno when it comes to reality TV, then you’re probably counting the days until The Block 2025premieres. Well, you’re in luck, because we finally have an air date!
The home-renovation show features pairs of teams that completely renovate a house located on the same street — or, in The Block 2024‘s case, the same holiday complex. Once the houses are completed, they go to auction, and the contestants get to keep whatever amount the property sells for over the reserve. Plus, the couple who makes the most scores an extra $100,000 prize money on top.
Two new twists have been announced for The Block 2025, and it’s safe to say this could be one of the most interesting seasons yet. Here’s what we know so far about this year’s season of The Block.
What is The Block 2025 release date?
Blockheads, it’s time to grab your popcorn, because The Block 2025 premieres on Sunday, July 27 at 7pm on Channel 9 and 9Now. That’s just around the corner!
What are the major twists coming to The Block 2025?
Channel 9 confirmed that contestants will be building their homes from scratch — for the first time ever. This is going to be a huge challenge, and the duos would not have expected it.
The second twist, which could cause heartbreak, tears and drama, is that contestants are no longer allowed to work on their properties overnight. That means no more all-nighters, and the building site will be locked up in the evenings. We might see more rooms fail to be completed with the drastic drop in renovation time, which means more on screen drama.
Is there a trailer?

Where is The Block 2025 filmed?
The location of The Block 2025 is the Victorian countryside town of Daylesford. On March 4, a flyer announcing the beginning of filming was shared with a The Block fan Facebook group.
“In just three days, The Block will begin filming in Daylesford and surrounds. You can expect to see increased activity around town as film and set crews become more present,” the letter began.
It informed residents of the area that there would be increased visitors and encouraged local businesses to contact Channel 9 if they wanted their products featured on the popular show.

The blueprint reveals that each residence will feature the exact same layout, with 5 bedrooms, an office area, a common living space, an inclusive covered garage, and high-grade outdoor spaces that comprise a heated swimming pool and comprehensive landscaping.

Leaked The Block 2025 video reveals final renovation
If you want to avoid spoilers, look away now!
Chattr uncovered a video uploaded by a supplier of The Block 2025, and it appears to show what one of the finished houses looks like. It’s absolutely gorgeous, and it’s only getting us more pumped for the new season. You can see all the photos here. Otherwise, sit back and wait for the premiere to drop.
The Block returns on Sunday July 27 at 7pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
It’s early days for Dancing With The Stars 2025, but it looks like the winner has already been leaked. If you love a spoiler, we have all the info you need! Betting odds have indicated which celebrity could take home the coveted mirror ball trophy, and we’re not mad about it.
Home and Away’sKyle Shilling has the best odds to take home the win, with comedian Shaun Micallef hot on his heels. Considering one of our videos of Kyle dancing went viral on social media, with fans calling his Viennese Waltz “breathtaking” and “fantastic”, we’re not surprised.
What are the current betting odds for the winner of Dancing With The Stars 2025?
At the time of publication, Kyle has a return of $1.83, which is the lowest of any contestant. Shaun sits behind him at $2.75, with Rebecca Gibney in third place at $4.33.
Michael Usher has odds of $5, Harry Garside is sitting at $8.50, Brittany Hockley is at $10 and Mia Fevola at $13.
The bottom three are currently Trent Cotchin with odds of $17, Felicity Ward with odds of $19 and Osher Günsbergat $21.
How do betting odds work?
Betting odds are simple. Those with lower odds are recognised as more likely to win, as the dollar return you receive will be less. For example, if you bet $1 on Kyle winning Dancing With The Stars and he does, you would receive the amount the outcome is listed at, which is currently $1.83, meaning you would make $0.83 in profit.
If you bet $1 on Osher winning, and he somehow pulls it off, you would receive $21, meaning you would make $20 in profit.
The return is based on how much you bet, so if you bet $10, your return would be 10x.

Do betting odds correctly predict the winner of Dancing With The Stars?
Betting odds are a prediction about who could win, but it doesn’t necessarily mean they will win. However, in the past, betting odds have proved correct for multiple reality TV shows in Australia.
Odds could change between now and the finale, so it could still be anyone’s game. Besides, there could always be a big upset, like how Osher wasn’t eliminated last week. We’ll have to sit tight and wait until the Dancing With The Stars 2025 finale to know for sure.
Watch Dancing With The Stars Australia 2025 on Sundays from 7pm on Channel 7 and 7plus.
Of course, chaos has ensued, and it’s only the beginning! We’ve already seen a contestant label it “Nightmare Island”, and one groom revealed he had a secret girlfriend on the outside. It all sounds rather familiar, but we’re well and truly hooked.
The show was filmed in October 2023, but Channel Seven shelved it until 2025. So, have any of the couples made it after all this time? We’ve rounded up the clues online to see if any of the Stranded On Honeymoon Island Australia couples are still together in 2025.
Amy and Mike
Amy and Mike. Image: Seven
There’s no concrete evidence yet as to whether Amy and Mike have broken up, but it seems rather likely. The pair didn’t get off to a great start, and Amy recently uploaded a video calling Mike “sexist” and revealed he had a past with one of her friends.
“On the Honeymoon, things went from bad to worse. I felt that he spoke down to me, I felt that he belittled me, I felt that he made some misogynistic comments, and that he was a little bit controlling,” Amy said. “It wouldn’t be long until I found out he had a history with one of my friends. Turns out they’d matched on a dating app, and he had made some particularly vulgar comments to her.”
During Episode 5, Mike found out that he wasn’t Amy’s first choice, and she was crushing on the guy with the man bun in a salmon jacket. It turns out that the mystery man, Haydn Slater, is quite keen on Amy and he even told Chattr he could be sliding into her DMs shortly. A spanner in the works!
Amy and Mike are still following each other on Instagram, but this could just be a smoke screen to keep us fooled. The groom recently shared a video with a mystery woman in which they looked like more than just friends… could this be a soft launch? It sure feels that way! We’ll have to keep an eye on his socials closely.
Who is this mystery woman?! Image: Instagram
Verdict: Unconfirmed, but unlikely.
Emily and Tom
Emily and Tom. Image: Seven
Emily and Tom are no longer together; in fact, Tom is now married to Australian Survivor’sMorgan Mitchell and they recently welcomed twin girls Honey and Maya. Tom hasn’t hidden his relationship status, so he’s basically spoiling the show… but we can’t help but be happy for the cute cross-reality TV show couple. Tom and Morgan announced their engagement in July 2024, and tied the knot in February 2025.
Stranded On Honeymoon Island’s Emily and Tom don’t follow each other on social media, so it’s safe to say their relationship is completely over.
Verdict: Not together
Brie and Byron
Brie and Byron. Image: Seven
Brie and Byron actually seem like a really sweet couple, and Brie has already cried happy tears over how nice he is. However, things got rocky in Episode 4, after Byron revealed he had never thought about Brie sexually. Huh?
There’s not many clues out there as to whether they’re still together, but they both follow each other on Instagram, so it’s still a possibility. Brie also shared a cryptic TikTok making fun of Byron, where she called him “boring”. Hmm. Is that a hint that the pair have now split? It’s quite a harsh insult for somebody you’re in a relationship with.
Dani and Emanuel are still following each other on Instagram, which is our biggest clue about these two. However, Emanuel recently shared a reel which sums up the last 10 months of his life living in Bali. Dani is currently building her dream house in Magnetic Island, Queensland, so are they doing long distance, or did they call it quits a while back?
Verdict: Unconfirmed
Jess and Sam
Jess and Sam. Image: Seven
Jess and Sam seem well matched, with this relationship coach ready to finally find her one true love on Stranded On Honeymoon Island. While they still follow each other on Instagram, there’s not much else out there about this couple. Does anyone know these two in real life? Please slide into our DMs with info.
Verdict: Unconfirmed
Georgia and Chad
Georgia and Chad. Image: Seven
Georgia and Chad have remained tight-lipped about their current relationship status, with Chad telling Facebook fans they’ll “have to wait and see” what happens. The pair both follow each other on Instagram, but other than that, we’ll just have to hold out hope for some sneaky spoilers.
Verdict: Unconfirmed

According to a recent New Ideareport there could be an international tribe swap in the works, with JLP tipped to take Jeff Probst‘s job as host of Survivor US in the future. Probst has just recently wrapped filming on Survivor US Season 50, which welcomed returning cast members like Mike White, Cirie Fields, Benjamin ‘Coach’Wade, Stephenie LaGrossa Kendrick, and more.
Probst has hosted Survivor US since 2000 and has appeared in 701 episodes so far. He’s extremely involved behind the scenes, also working as an executive producer. Plus, he nabbed four Emmy Awards as an Outstanding Host for a Reality or Reality-Competition Program. Swapping Probst for JLP would be the ultimate blindside, after all, many fans see Probst as the heart of Survivor.
Shannon Gaitz, who covers international versions of Survivor on the popular Rob Has A Podcast (RHAP) network, hasn’t heard any rumours about Probst leaving. “Jeff Probst is the face of US Survivor in so many ways, not only as host but as executive producer,” she tells Chattr. “While JLP is an amazing host that any Survivor franchise would be lucky to have, I can’t imagine Jeff giving up the reins this soon.”
Another insider says there have been no rumours amongst the former Australian Survivor cast, so it’s possible there’s no truth to them.
Jonathan LaPaglia on Australian Survivor. Image: 10
What has Jonathan LaPaglia said about Jeff Probst?
Jonathan LaPaglia has mentioned Jeff Probst from time to time over the years, with one of his most recent being in an interview with ABC. After being asked who would win in a fight between himself and Probst, JLP admitted he probably wouldn’t come out on top.
“Jeff, he looks pretty fit, he looks wily. He’d probably take me out. Like I said, my muscles are kind of useless,” JLP joked.
He also told New Idea he was friendly with Probst, saying they talk on the phone. “We have got together for breakfast several times over the years to catch up, but not recently to discuss Australia V World,” he said. “But thanks for reminding me, I need to give him a call!”
At this point, it seems unlikely that JLP would take Probst’s job, considering their friendly relationship and the fact that the Survivor US host also holds an executive producer role. But then again, no one saw JLP’s axing coming, so never say never!
Love Island USA has found itself at the centre of yet another media storm after former fan-favourite Cierra Ortega’s alleged posts, in which she used a racial slur against Chinese people, were unearthed. In one message, it’s claimed she said she wanted Botox to avoid having eyes that looked Asian. Cierra has since been removed from the show, with the narrator saying the contestant left due to a “personal situation”.
Love Island Australia winner Tina Provis tells Chattr it’s a clear example of anti-Asian racism that’s rampant — both in the USA and here in Australia.
“My eyes used to be one of my biggest insecurities because I spent years brushing off racist remarks like the one [allegedly] made by Cierra. I’ve seen people online defending Cierra’s use of the slur, and it just shows how much we downplay anti-Asian racism,” the Chinese-Australian reality TV star says.
“Taking the slur out of the equation, even if Cierra had said she uses cosmetic procedures to avoid looking Asian, that would still be racist, derogatory and hurtful to the Asian community.”
The I’m A Celeb star notes the Love Island audience can be impressionable, and the people on screens become role models. “Not only could [Cierra’s alleged] comments lead young people to feel insecure about their identity, but conversely, it normalises casual racism if we fail to call it out. If you’re calling out the features of an ethnic group as undesirable and unattractive, that is inherently racist. The fact that so many people online don’t see the issue with the slur makes it clear that production made the right call,” she adds.
Love Island hasn’t released a statement about why Cierra was removed, and boiling it down to a “personal situation” is “disappointing”, Tina says. “It’s one thing to remove a contestant for poor behaviour, but if you aren’t going to be transparent and back the decision publicly, then that is a missed opportunity to stand up for POCs [people of colour].”

Is anti-Asian hate rampant in Australia?
Tina has been outspoken about her experience as a Chinese-Australian woman in the media over the years, and tells Chattr she has been made fun of for her ethnicity since she was a child. She grew up in a very white area, and was “self-conscious” of her differences.
“In school, my race was brought up and made fun of in the form of throwaway comments. As a coping mechanism, I joined in on the jokes about my race, and eventually, I would beat people to the punchline,” she recalls.
“The people who are quick to defend themselves after making a racist comment and say that they ‘didn’t know it was racist’ are the very same people who complain when you stand up for POCs and explain why it is, in fact, racist.”
She tells Chattr the reason why she continues to speak up for the marginalised is to stop this culture of casual racism in our society. Hopefully, the producers of Love Island will see the backlash and make a statement condemning anti-Asian hate, but until then, Tina will continue to speak out.
A major bombshell was dropped on Stranded On Honeymoon Island tonight, when past footage revealed Amy Dickinsonwanted to be paired with a mystery contestant with a man-bun and salmon jacket, rather than her actual husband Mike Dawes. It made for awkward viewing, with Mike having to come to terms that Amy wanted desperately to be stranded with another man.
So, who exactly is Mr Man Bun, and has the salmon jacket-wearing bloke slid into Amy’s DM’s since the show finished filming? We spoke to inside sources as well as the man himself, who Chattr can reveal is Haydn Slater, a podcast host and Business Development Manager.
An inside source tells Chattr Amy was shocked she didn’t end up being matched with Haydn. Wonder why producers decided she should be matched with Mike instead?
“Amy was convinced she’d be partnered with man bun and didn’t even consider the possibility she could be paired with someone else,” a source claims. “She was totally blindsided when she saw Mike at the altar and almost didn’t go through with the wedding.”
Has ‘Man Bun’ Haydn Slater slid into Amy’s DMs since the show finished filming?
Haydn tells Chattr Amy was also his first pick during the speed date round, and he was disappointed he didn’t end up getting stranded with her. “I was actually pretty devo when I wasn’t married off to her on a deserted island. I reckon we would’ve had some fun on that island together,” he spills. “I have been tuning in and gotta feel for the poor girl, especially when Amy was clearly expecting me and my silly man bun!”
He says he hasn’t slid into Amy’s DMs yet, as it took him a while to figure out who she was on socials. Don’t rule it out, though, as he’s still interested. “I’m not on TikTok and had no idea how big she is on that platform! For now, I might see how it plays out with big Mike, but I imagine I’ll be sliding into those DMs very soon,” he says coyly.
Not an ideal situation for anyone involved. Image: Seven
Who is Haydn Slater, AKA Mr. Man Bun in a salmon jacket?
Haydn is a Business Development Manager who loves playing country footy, travelling around the world, and also hosts a podcast about life and dating called Trust Us. His nickname is “Dos” and friends describe him as “controlled chaos”.
“I think [my] life decisions tend to be a little reckless, and yet it always seems to work out for me,” he admits.
Is anyone else low-key rooting for Haydn and Amy? Maybe Amy will dump Mike and go back to her first pick, considering she’s called out some red flags during the first week of being on Stranded On Honeymoon Island.
Stranded On Honeymoon Island airs Tuesdays at 8:30pm on Channel 7 and 7Plus.
The MAFS star, who is currently still loved-up with fellow MAFS contestant Duncan James, has done a tell-all on TikTok about the “truth about reality TV”. She’s been on Big Brother UK as well as MAFS, so she’s an expert in this arena.
“I get asked all the time, ‘Hey Ev, should I do this? This person contacted me’. So, here it is. Number one: nothing is for certain. The chances of you walking out with a love story like Cam [Merchant] and Jules [Merchant] or the success of someone like Molly Mae are unlikely, but not impossible,” she began. “If you haven’t got thick skin or are afraid of a little bit of self-criticism, then it’s probably not for you.”
“It will push you physically and emotionally, but it doesn’t last forever, so you should probably try to enjoy it,” Evelyn added. Producers also confiscate your phone, so everybody is kept in the moment rather than staring at their screens. For Evelyn, she appreciated the forced break — something many of us could benefit from. “As someone who has really high screen time, I actually liked my phone being taken, because when does that ever happen these days?”
Does a ‘bad edit’ exist?
Evelyn briefly touched on the idea of a “bad” or “villain edit”, with contestants like MAFS‘ Olivia Frazer and Farmer Wants A Wife’sClarette Goodhead being outspoken about the production technique.
“Time and time again we hear about participants blaming the edit, and the truth is that producers and editors are humans too, and they’re experiencing everything that you’re experiencing, so don’t be an asshole,” she said.
She told future reality TV contestants to be open when filming, and “show everything” on camera. “Be yourself. The good, the bad and the ugly. At the end of the day if you do get [cast] and decide to jump into reality TV, keep in mind that people are chosen because they have big, strange and confronting personalities. So you’re not going to be friends with everyone,” she explained.
“Lastly, if you do decide to do reality TV, remember it’s your life right now and not your life forever because it’s very easy to get involved in the drama and let it consume you. And also, you never know. You might just meet your forever partner,” she added.
If you’re still interested in applying for Farmer Wants A Wife 2026 after all of Evelyn’s warnings, you can check out the application form here.
