Farmer Wants a Wife 2025 Farmers: Meet the eligible bachelors looking for love

Farmer Wants a Wife is gearing up to (hopefully) bring us a well-deserved love story for 2025. The four Farmers who will be leading that charge have been confirmed, and it’s time for us to meet them!

Eight farmers were shortlisted in July 2024 to be the leads for the upcoming season, and applicants were encouraged to apply for the one they liked the look of.

Now, the final lineup of 2025 Farmers has been announced—and Corey, Tom, Thomas, and Jarrad will search for a farm wife on the wholesome reality show.

Find out more about the Farmer Wants A Wife Farmers below.

Farmer Jarrad

Farmer Jarrad is 21 years old and describes himself as a “goofy creative”. He lives on a sheep farm outside of Stanthorpe, Queensland.

“I’ll also send you crazy from singing too much,” he says. (I’ve watched his intro reel and can confirm he has a fantastic voice!)

Farmer Thomas

Farmer Thomas

Farmer Thomas is a 35-year-old “hardworking and driven farmer” living on a wheat, lentil and barley farm in Kimba, South Australia. He is the oldest of the Farmer Wants A Wife farmers in our 2025 crop.

He’s a whopping 6’4 in height and is looking for someone who is “kind, caring and honest” with their own passions.

Farmer Corey

Farmer Corey on Farmer Wants a Wife

Farmer Corey is a 24-year-old working on a beans, hay and cotton farm in Biloela, Queensland. What’s he looking for?

“I’d like to have a partner who is kind and giving and able to enjoy the simple life, the farm and the way we live. I want a team player and a best mate to take on life with.”

Farmer Tom

Farmer Tom is a 31-year-old sheep farmer from Borambola, New South Wales. He’s keen to find a wife to share his life on the farm with.

Farmer Tom loves Taylor Swift (music) because he’s only human. He’d love to find “someone who looks for positives instead of negatives”.

Friendly reminder: Farmer Wants A Wife Australia has created 10 marriages and 27 kids (!!!) since it started airing. It’s a much better success rate than Married At First Sight and Love Island, right?

Farmer Wants a Wife 2025 will air after Easter on Channel 7 and 7plus.

Meet MAFS 2025’s Paul Antoine who’s a bit of a reality TV veteran

Paul Antoine was the very first Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 groom to be announced, and we’re unsurprised that he’s a recognisable face.

While ex-The Bachelor contestant Sierah Swepstone was one of the MAFS 2025 brides, she isn’t the only one who’s dipped her toes in a dating reality show before.

Yep, Paul — who was on reality TV just two years ago — is one of MAFS 2025 grooms.

Paul Antoine on MAFS 2025 at his wedding.
Paul Antoine on Married At First Sight 2025. Image: Nine.

What reality show has Paul Antoine been on before?

Paul starred on The Real Love Boat Australia in 2022. The short-lived show was basically Love Island on a boat.

Paul was one of 21 singles who tried to find love with the help of host Darren McMullen, cruise director Hannah Ferrier, head of entertainment Daniel Doody and captain Paolo Arrigo.

Unfortunately (or fortunately?), Paul’s quest for love was about as successful as the show itself, which has since been axed.

Paul is a fitness coach living in Perth. However, he is originally from France and moved to Australia 11 years ago.

When he was on The Real Love Boat Australia, he was hoping to find someone down-to-earth and was a fan of long chats — so we can only assume that’s what he’s looking for this time around, too.

Who is MAFS’ Paul Antoine?

According to Paul’s Channel 9 bio, he’s a hopeless romantic, who’s gone through the small dating pool in Perth.

He’s had two long-term relationships in the past and is ready to find his forever love. Paul said that person would ideally be a woman with European flair, with a smile that lights up the room.

Who is Paul Antoine matched with on MAFS 2025?

Paul’s MAFS bride is fashion influencer and aspiring actress Carina Mirabile. She’s also no stranger to the silver screen, with an acting career that includes roles in two short films and appearances in several commercials.

When they first got TV hitched, Carina wasn’t exactly over the moon. As luck would have it, the two had already dated before the show but, after a hiking date, Paul ghosted her. So, not exactly the best start.

Despite that little hiccup, it seems like the couple has managed to move on, and their relationship has only gotten stronger since.

In fact, Carina may have hinted at their current status during a Chattr interview.

When asked about all the MAFS drama unfolding, Carina told us she hasn’t been keeping up because she’s too busy spending time with Paul and the rest of the cast.

“To be fair, my phone is going off, and I’m just enjoying life with Paul and all the rest of the cast that are my friends,” she said.

Life with Paul, you say? Could this be third time lucky for the TV vet? Guess we’ll have to wait and see!

Married At First Sight 2025 airs Sundays at 7pm and Monday – Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

MAFS 2025’s Sierah Swepstone: Meet the ex-Bachelor contestant looking for love

Possibly one of the most recognisable faces on Married At First Sight 2025 (MAFS) is The Bachelor’s Sierah Swepstone

If that name doesn’t ring a bell for you, then maybe you’ll remember her as the self-professed “tall, horny bogan” from Jimmy Nicholson‘s season.

Here’s everything to know about Sierah.

MAFS 2025 star Sierah Swepstone winks at the camera on The Bachelor set, with flowers and candles in the background
An icon. Image: Ten.

Sierah Swepstone is the first ex-Bachelor contestant on MAFS

While there always seems to be reality TV crossovers — like MAFS 2024’s Ben Walters apparently being approached for The Bachelors and Janelle Han choosing MAFS 2023 instead of receiving roses — this will actually be the first time an ex-contestant has appeared on the MAFS social experiment.

And if it was going to be anyone, we’re low-key excited it’s Sierah. Her exit from Jimmy’s 2021 season of The Bachelor was iconic.

Remember when she told all of Australia that she “definitely had chlamydia”? We’re all for a woman of honesty who doesn’t give two shits about the judgement.

Apparently, Sierah was poached by MAFS producers

MAFS 2025 star Sierah Swepstone on The Bachelor set, wearing a long necklace and giving an unimpressed look
Bring it on! Image: Ten.

Daily Mail Australia reported that Sierah was poached by MAFS producers. An insider told the publication, “She is a nutter but amazing for television because she just doesn’t care.”

Honestly, it was a shame that she was on Jimmy’s season (because it had one of the worst ratings in television history). However, it’s good she’ll be making her return on a show people actually care to watch.

We’re getting Lauren Dunn 2.0 vibes.

Sierah will be joining fellow reality TV personality Paul Antoine from The Real Love Boat, who’s already been married off to his ex-fling Carina Mirabile.

Alongside them is a wave of actor hopefuls, including Ryan Donnelly, and former Neighbours actor turned businessman Jeff Gobbels.

We can smell their new followers from here.

Married At First Sight 2025 airs Sundays at 7:30pm and Monday – Wednesday at 7pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

Is Raygun going to be on I’m A Celebrity Australia 2025?

Rachel Gunn — AKA Raygun — is reportedly in the sights of I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! producers following her viral breakdancing routine at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

According to New Idea magazine, the 36-year-old has been deemed “the ideal campmate” by unnamed producers of the hit TV show. On top of that, two of the I’m a Celebrity Australia 2025 cast clues strongly suggest that the Olympian will be heading to South Africa.

Robert Irwin and Julia Morris I'm a celebrity cast 2024

In the past, the show has had the likes of Bernard Tomic, Abbie Chatfield, Domenica Calarco, Brendan Fevola, Callum Hole and many more in the campsite.

Is Raygun going to be on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here?

Although Raygun hasn’t officially been confirmed to join the I’m A Celebrity Australia 2025 cast yet, there is some compelling evidence supporting the idea.

In December 2025, the first cast clue was posted on the I’m a Celebrity Instagram account, revealing that an Olympian was entering the jungle.

“A headline-grabbing Olympian has a ticket to the African wilds. They love freestyle; will the Jungle break them?” the narrator said in the clip.

Then, in mid-January 2025, a second clue was published, which further indicated that Raygun was the celeb in question.

The bonus clue shared three emojis representing the mystery Olympian: a kangaroo, a croissant, and a cap.

Of course, Raygun famously imitated a Kangaroo during her routine at the Paris Olympics, during which she wore a cap. It doesn’t exactly take a rocket scientist to connect the emojis to the controversial breakdancer.

Furthermore, back in August 2024, New Idea magazine reported that the I’m a Celebrity producers were in talks with Raygun about joining the show.

“The public will want to hear her story in the jungle. Love her or loathe her, she has everyone talking,” the source told the publication.

Raygun made a video cameo at the 2024 Logies in August, where she encouraged the industry to whip out some of her moves to celebrate the night.

Raygun surprised the TV industry with an appearance at the Logies.

“It’s these viral moments and water-cooler conversations that IAC [I’m a Celebrity] will want to capitalise on,” the source said.

How did Raygun become famous?

Raygun has been the topic of the internet since she performed at the Paris 2024 Olympics, busting out the sprinkler and some kangaroo-esque moves that baffled the audience.

@sanantoniozoo

The roos at Kangaroo Krossing thought Raygun NAILED IT, and should have received a perfect score at the Olympics. 🦘🥇 #animals #kangaroos #cuteanimals #olympics #funnyanimals

In August, Raygun was referenced on The Jimmy Fallon Show and at an Adele concert that same month, truly proving that she got the world talking (and smiling).

While not everyone was supportive of Raygun making it to the Olympics—where she was awarded zero points—it’s likely that people are keen to hear more about her story.

Perhaps we will in the jungle?

I’m a Celebrity Australia… Get Me Out Of Here Australia 2025 will premiere on January 19 on Channel 10 and 10Play.

The White Lotus Season 3 trailer: Beaches, brawls and a body bag

The White Lotus Season 3 is taking us to a luxurious trip to Thailand, but like previous seasons, not everything will be sunshine and rainbows.

The new trailer for The White Lotus Season 3 has dropped and it is pure and utter chaos. From scenes of boozy nights out, to a body bag getting wheeled out, the new instalment will be nothing short of dramatic.

Ahead of the drop, let’s dive into everything we know so far about The White Lotus Season 3.

Carrie Coon, Michelle Monaghan, and Leslie Bibb are all in the new series.

What is The White Lotus Season 3 release date?

The third season of the enthralling series will be available to stream from February 17 on BINGE.

Is there a White Lotus Season 3 trailer?

There is! The first full-length trailer dropped on January 28. Watch it for yourself below.

Who is in The White Lotus cast for Season 3?

We now have the confirmed cast for The White Lotus season 3, featuring Season 1’s Natasha Rothwell, the spa manager who was taken for a ride by Jennifer Coolidge‘s character, Tanya McQuoid.

The cast for season 3 also includes Leslie Bibb, Carrie Coon, Walton Goggins, Sarah Catherine Hook, Jason Isaacs, Lalisa Manobal, Michelle Monaghan, Sam Nivola, Lek Patravadi, Parker Posey, Natasha Rothwell, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Tayme Thapthimthong, and Aimee Lou Wood.

Additional cast includes Nicholas Duvernay, Arnas Fedaravičius, Christian Friedel, Scott Glenn, Dom Hetrakul, Julian Kostov, Charlotte Le Bon, Morgana O’Reilly, and Shalini Peiris.

Walton has gone ahead and done God’s work for White Lotus fans by sharing a bunch of behind-the-scenes photos of the Season 3 cast. The carousels include photos of cast members Michelle, Carrie and Leslie.

Will Jennifer Coolidge return to The White Lotus?

In Season 2, fan favourite and the only returning character, Tanya, was seemingly killed off. Will we see her return from the dead, or perhaps a long-lost twin sister will come in to take her place? Fingers crossed for a Coolidge resurrection, but HBO has been keeping mum if she’s returning.

However, with the release of the full trailer and no Tanya in sight, things don’t look promising.

What is The White Lotus Season 3 filmed?

Jason Isaacs, Parker Posey, Patrick Shwarzenegger, Sarah Catherine Hook, and Sam Nivola in white lotus season 3

After vacationing in Maui in Season 1 and Sicily in Season 2, HBO revealed in a statement that Season 3 will take us to the stunning setting of Thailand. Filming locations include Bangkok, Koh Samui and Phuket.

What hotel is The White Lotus filmed at?

The first two seasons were shot at Four Seasons resorts in Hawaii and Italy, and Season 3 followed the trend.

While there are Four Seasons resorts in both Bangkok and Koh Samui, Bloomberg reported in early 2024 that The White Lotus Season 3 would be filmed at the Koh Samui location.

AFAR has also reported that Phuket’s Anantara Mai Khao Phuket Villas will feature in Season 3 scenes.

What can we expect from The White Lotus Season 3?

white lotus season 3 cast Lalisa Manobal and Tayme Thapthimthong
Lalisa Manobal and Tayme Thapthimthong. Image: HBO

In a press release, we got a vague synopsis for this season, “The social satire is set at an exclusive Thai resort and follows the exploits of various guests and employees over the span of a week.”

If the past two seasons are anything to judge this season off, we know it will be a very dramatic week for the guests.

During an episode of the Unpacking explainer series, White said, “The first season kind of highlighted money, and then the second season is sex.

“I think the third season would be maybe a satirical and funny look at death and Eastern religion – and spirituality. It feels like it could be a rich tapestry to do another round at White Lotus.”

The show has absolutely cleaned up at awards shows in recent years. In total, the series has been nominated for more than 80 awards, winning 38, including two Golden Globes and 10 Emmy awards.

Is there a Season 4?

Yes, there will be a Season 4 of The White Lotus.

The next season has already been confirmed on the show’s Instagram, but they have kept the details very threadbare.

“Good news travels fast. #TheWhiteLotus is excited to welcome you to a new destination,” the Instagram caption read.

Where can I watch The White Lotus in Australia?

Seasons 1 and 2 are available to stream on BINGE.

The White Lotus Season 3 will air on BINGE from February 17, 2025.

Charlotte Crosby teases Aussie Shore chaos ahead of the show’s premiere

The official Aussie Shore cast, trailer and release date have dropped to get us all very, very excited for this undeniably bonkers show.

Callum Hole was the first announced member of the new Aussie Shore cast (so consider us fans of the show already) and now 10 more names have been added to the mix.

Aussie Shore is basically Geordie Shore down under and it will have the one and only Charlotte Crosby at the helm.

Keep reading for everything we know about the Aussie Shore cast so far.

What has Charlotte Crosby said about Aussie Shore?

Charlotte has teased viewers about the wild shenanigans that will happen on Aussie Shore. The former Geordie Shore star called the show the “ultimate Australian party adventure” and gave viewers a sneak peek into what to expect from the series.

Who is in the Aussie Shore cast?

Charlotte gave Kyle and Jackie O a taste of what we can expect from the Aussie Shore cast earlier this year and it all sounds very spicy.

Confirming that none of the Aussie Shore cast knew each other before filming began, Charlotte said this new generation “are pushing boundaries” that we didn’t even know existed.

What’s Callum Hole from?

Callum will be adding Aussie Shore to his reality TV resume after appearing on Love Island Australia, Love Island Games and I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!

Earlier this year rumours circled that Callum would be returning for Love Island 2024 off the back of his I’m A Celeb success, put perhaps Paramount beat Nine to the punch?

“A huge addition to an already incredible cast! AUSSIE SHORE IS GUNNA BLOW EVERYONES MINDS,” Charlotte wrote on the Callum announcement post.

What’s Charlotte Crosby’s role on Aussie Shore?

Charlotte’s 12-year run on Geordie Shore makes her perfect for the role of House Boss on Aussie Shore.

Earlier this year, Charlotte confirmed to Kyle and Jackie O that she was filming the upcoming show but that the cast were all around a decade younger than her.

“That’s why I’m the boss,” she explained.

The Voice singer who shocked the nation with her screamo Britney Spears cover

Living rooms around the nation were surprised when The Voice Australia 2024 contestant Mol Turner whipped out powerful vocals that no one was prepared for.

On the August 26 episode of The Voice, 17-year-old Mol chose Britney Spears‘ iconic track Toxic — but with one very big death metal twist.

Sporting a shaggy blonde mullet, heavy eye makeup and chained jeans, Mol slowly built up to the chorus with an eerier and edgier take on the early noughties tune.

As she hit the chorus, well, The Voice coach LeAnn Rimes‘ reaction says it all:

the voice mol turner

The Voice coach Kate Miller-Heidke turned around for Mol, who is from the South Coast in New South Wales, meaning the teenager will now be on the Australian musician’s team.

What is Australia saying about Mol Turner’s audition?

With the show primarily showcasing mainstream genres and producing pop artists, Mol’s performance was surprising in a way that Australian audiences are loving.

While some viewers didn’t love the performance and are entitled to that opinion, the response is overwhelmingly positive.

“So good to finally see someone singing screamo,” someone commented on The Voice Instagram, noting that her “growl” was fire.

“An impressive death metal take on ‘Toxic’ that was so entertaining, she has quite an impressive vocal range — I think she will surprise us with what else she is capable of doing,” someone wrote to The Voice Australia Facebook.

Mol’s take on this song is definitely a welcome change. Even people who don’t neccesarily like death metal or screamo as a genre could still appreciate that she nailed it.

“Couldn’t think of anything more painful than listening to Death Metal but that was a fantastic performance and you can only appreciate the talent behind it,” one person wrote.

“Love it or hate it but that was amazing well done Mol !!!!. I loved every second!” wrote another.

“Not my cup of tea, but the girl has raw power. Glad she has the chance to perform on stage. All talents should be showcased,” an Instagram commenter added.

We can’t wait to see what Mol performs next!

The Voice Australia airs on Sundays at 7pm and Monday – Tuesday at 7:30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

An It Ends With Us sequel looks unlikely amid cast feud rumours

It Ends With Us just hit cinemas but there’s one sequel-shaped question on everyone’s lips: will we get a movie adaptation for It Starts With UsColleen Hoover‘s follow up novel to It Ends With Us?

Mentions of It Starts With Us have definitely been happening on the red carpets for the It Ends With Us movie but, as of right now, it hasn’t officially been green lit. In fact, it’s looking murkier than ever considering all the supposed beef between leads Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni.

So what is Colleen and the It Ends With Us crew saying about the sequel? Here’s what you missed while trying to dissect the rumoured It Ends With Us drama.

Blake in It Ends With Us sequel It Starts With Us
Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni in It Ends With Us. Image: Sony

Does It Ends With Us have a sequel?

Colleen’s It Ends With Us book has a sequel called It Starts With Us.

While It Ends With Us follows the story of Lily Bloom trying to navigate a relationship that becomes abusive, It Starts With Us picks up where the last novel ended and focuses on Lily’s relationship with Atlas. (I’d go into further detail, but I don’t want to invite any spoiler backlash!)

The It Ends With Us book was released in 2016 and It Starts With Us came out in 2022.

it starts with us movie
It Starts With Us was released in 2022. Image: Simon & Schuster.

Justin, It Ends With Us director and lead actor, optioned the first novel back in 2019 — before It Starts With Us was even published.

Will there be an It Starts With Us movie?

A sequel is an obvious decision based on the huge box office success of It Ends With Us.

While in early August it appeared that no one had secured the rights for the It Starts With Us movie, The Hollywood Reporter is now reporting that Justin and Wayfarer Studios do have the rights for the sequel film.

If there was to be an It Ends With Us sequel off the back of the film’s success, it would be an obvious decision to keep the original cast including Blake as Lily, Justin as Ryle Kincaid, Brandon Sklenar as Atlas Corrigan and Jenny Slate as Alyssa Kincaid.

That being said, there have definitely been sequels that have deviated from the original casting (albeit usually awful).

But even if Justin was no longer in the role of Ryle or as the film director, a sequel involving Blake would mean the pair would still need to work together in some capacity. Because of this, there have been doubts over whether or not the film will go ahead.

What has Justin Baldoni said about an It Ends With Us Sequel?

Justin told Entertainment Tonight that he believes someone else should direct the sequel.

“I think that there are better people for that one,” he said. “I think Blake Lively’s ready to direct, that’s what I think.”

When asked whether or not he’d spoken to Colleen or Blake about a sequel, Justin admitted that he hadn’t.

“I haven’t. I have no idea what that story would be,” Baldoni told TV Insider at a press junket, noting that he’s trying to stay in the present.

“I’m just kind of doing my best to take this all in because it’s been five years to even get us here. So I can’t even fathom another story yet, but I’m so happy that fans love it and that she did it.”

What has Colleen Hover said about an It Starts With Us movie?

Author Colleen has definitely entertained the idea of a movie sequel.

“I think whoever decides to take charge of the next one would do it justice,” she told ET.

“I think they’re all in it for the right reasons, so I think that will be exciting. But it’s a lot of people to get the same schedules together again, so we’ll see.”

In regards to Blake coming on as director, the author said she’d “absolutely” be into that.

Considering It Ends With Us is all anyone’s talking about right now — and considering a lot of people want to see more of Atlas — we think a sequel could definitely be on the cards.

It Ends With Us is now in cinemas.

It Ends With Us’ Brandon Sklenar addresses online criticism of Blake Lively

The It Ends With Us drama has been dominating our algorithms for the past fortnight, moving from a rumoured rift between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni to an all-out public scrutiny of Blake’s promotional run. Now, costar Brandon Sklenar has addressed the criticism.

Taking to Instagram this week, Brandon released an online statement to discuss for “vilifying the women of this cast” is “counterproductive” to the film’s message.

Why are people criticising Blake Lively?

This month, Blake has been gradually dragged online for interviews, including one where she tells the audience to “wear their florals” for a film about domestic violence.

Old interviews have also been surfacing including one where she is rude to an interviewer and one where she makes a transphobic slur.

In one interview, the interviewer asks how those who personally resonate with It Ends With Us‘ themes can go about discussing it with Blake, to which she jokes about sharing her location or address alongside Brandon, who plays love interest Atlas Corrigan in It Ends With Us.

What did Brandon Sklenar’s statement say?

“I wanted to take a minute and address all this stuff swirling online,” 34-year-old Brandon wrote in an image uploaded to his Instagram account.

“The women of this cast stand for hope, perseverance, and for women choosing a better life for themselves,” he continued.

“Vilifying the women who put so much of their heart and soul into making this film because they believe so strongly in its message seems counterproductive and detracts from what this film is about.”

For weeks, rumours have been circling of creative differences between Blake, who plays lead actress Lily Bloom in It Ends With Us, and Justin, the director and also the lead actor playing the role of Ryle Kincaid.

When he was asked about an It Starts With Us movie — the It Ends With Us sequel — Justin suggested Blake as director.

“What may or may not have happened behind the scenes does not and hopefully should not detract from what our intentions were in making this film,” Brandon said.

“It’s been disheartening to see the amount of negativity being projected online.”

He called for people to stop spreading hate online and to remind themselves of the core message of the film.

“This movie is a harsh reality check for the men who need to get their shit together and take responsibility for themselves and their actions,” he wrote.

“Ultimately it’s meant to spread love and awareness. It is not meant to once again, make the women the ‘bad guy,’ let’s move beyond that together.”

It Ends With Us is in cinemas worldwide now.

The “powerful” Home and Away moment everyone’s talking about

Home and Away fans are praising the soap for the “powerful” portrayal of grief by actor Ethan Browne (Tane) on the show’s August 19 episode.

In the emotional scene, Tane mourns the loss of Felicity (played by Jaqui Purvis) following her shock death while performing the Haka.

Perri, played by Cantona Stewart, watches on in concern and heartbreak as Tane grieves Felicity.

Home and Away fans have been quick to share their thoughts on the episode, praising the scene along with Ethan’s acting and the inclusion of Maori culture.

Home and Away hair and makeup designer Laura Vazquez wrote, “So powerful, so beautiful. Felt every emotion in this scene,” on an Instagram post sharing the scene.

“Absolutely love that the Maori culture and traditions has been brought into the show. Such a beautiful culture,” another comment read.

“Finishing with the Haka was a perfect ending to the episode. And done with such pure emotion,” said another.

“Couldn’t stop crying watching this,” a commenter added.

Felicity collapsed at Cash and Eden’s engagement party during the August 12 episode. Felicity and Tane split late last year after Tane discovered she had been taking birth control pills behind his back.

At the engagement party, Felicity and Tane danced, flirted and instilled hope in viewers at home who have been rooting for their relationship. She then got blurred vision and collapsed before being taken to hospital.

The doctor declared she had suffered a brain aneurysm and she was eventually taken off life support on the August 19 episode.

When Home and Away producer Lucy Addario said we’d need tissues for this unexpected death, she wasn’t messing about.

Home and Away airs Monday – Thursday at 7:30pm on Channel 7 and 7Plus.

Kate Miller-Heidke reveals which coach was “trigger happy” with The Voice buzzer

The Voice 2024 is set to premiere this August with Guy Sebastian, Kate Miller-Heidke, Adam Lambert and LeAnn Rimes leading the charge as coaches for the new season.

Apparently there’s one celebrity coach that got a little overexcited this season though, with fellow The Voice judge Kate labelling them as “trigger happy” with that big red button.

Adam Lambert was “trigger happy” on The Voice 2024

“Adam was super trigger happy,” Kate revealed in an exclusive interview with Chattr, explaining that he chewed up most of his singer positions within the first half of the blind auditions.

“He turned around for for so many people very early on in the filming and then he found himself with one spot left for, like the second half of the blinds,” Kate explained.

“He got a bit overexcited.”

On The Voice, four judges have traditionally gotten to choose 12 singers each. If they turn around for a contestant who chooses to be on their team in return, it means that one of their 12 positions have been filled.

What type of artists did Kate Miller-Heidke press the buzzer for?

Kate explained to Chattr that she turned around for moments that really struck her.

“You’re just listening to hear that one magic moment,” Kate explained to Chattr. “It’s such a cliche, but that magic moment in a song that gives you goosebumps or surprises you in some way.”

“Sometimes it’s really it can be hard to tell because a lot of people are struggling with nerves. It’s a deeply nerve-wracking experience to get up on that stage and you’re just waiting to hear that that kernel of something amazing.”

Kate met Adam and LeAnn for the first time on The Voice 2024

Kate revealed to Chattr that it was her first time meeting both LeAnn and Adam, the latter of which became one of her “favourite” people.

“They were both so lovely,” Kate explained of meeting Adam and LeAnn for the first time on The Voice.

“Leanne shot to superstardom when she was only 12 years old,” Kate recalled.

“She’s lived her entire life as a very famous person, but she’s still an artist to her core. She still takes the art and craft of singing really seriously and she’s so good at what she does.”

“And Adam, he’s lightning in a bottle. He’s just brilliant. He and I were sitting next to each other for the whole season, so we got to hang out and chat a lot.

“He is just one of my favourite people. He’s so funny and irreverent and kooky. He’s brilliant.”

Why did this just become the friendship we never knew we needed? Cute as hell.

The Voice airs on 7 and 7Plus from Monday, August 19.

FBoy Island recap: If ‘The Hot One’ isn’t an FBoy I want a refund

FBoy Island 2024 has landed and no one’s happier than me to see a big burning dick on the sand to kick off the Season 2 recaps.

fboy island season 2 episode 1 recap
burn motherfucker

This season we have three new leading ladies tasked with figuring out if the men vying for their love are FBoys or Nice Guys.

Choose wrong and they’ll be rorted out of the prize money.

fboy island season 2
this is fine

First we have Nicole, a model who is asking the bare minimum from a man: to be heard and not just seen.

see me hear me love me!

Krystal (who you remember from The Bachelors) is on the hunt for a “mid” — AKA a six of out 10 — because they’re fabulous at licking pussy.

where is the lie

Ally, our final leading lady, has dated “devil dick” — AKA Vernon Lyon from FBoy Island Season 1. She doesn’t even need to say his name.

I was younger then

Our host and saviour Abbie Chatfield is ready to introduce the ladies to the men of FBoy Island, but first they must finish the last leg of the 14-km City2Surf.

fboy island nicole
see you in 25 hours

First the boys are introduced to Nicole and it is immediately obvious that they have smelt model (and perfect underboob) because they cannot control their dick energy of varying sizes.

fboy island season 2
arooga

Next up is Krystal. She has placed second in City2Surf at two hours and 12 minutes, only to see a familiar face from the Gold Coast.

fboy island
omg is that the rando from Sin City

However, the guy she may or may not have rooted at Toolies isn’t the one she’s got her eyes set on. While she’s adamant about a mid who bothers to find the clit, she has instead chosen “the hot one”.

fboy island season 2
It is I, ‘The Hot One’

No, she literally called him that, in order to clarify that she’s not talking about this guy.

I lick pussy better than The Hot One tho

Ally places third for City2Surf, finishing at two hours and 19 minutes. She also has her eyes on The Hot One.

this should end well

The ladies and the men then head back to their respective villas where it becomes apparent that Frank has been declared as an FBoy by literally everyone.

Why? He was handsy with Krystal and… as for the guys? I think they just reckon he’s a toss.

Meanwhile, The Hot One has decided he likes Nicole the best.

fboy island season 2
The Hot Ones must stick together

Back at the women’s HQ, Abbie is getting to know the ladies better.

Ally confirms dirty dog Vernon dropped the L-word on her before going on a bender and blocking her.

that second bag will do it

Ally’s revenge? Implying to all of Australia he has a small dick.

that checks out

Krystal opens up about being the child of an FBoy. Her father cheated on her mum while she was pregnant with Krystal and now she feels like she has a responsibility to stop the chain.

We love Krystal and this is a powerful story. FBoys think their behaviour is funny but it actually can be really fucking traumatic. OK?

“My Fboy radar? Unmatched,” Krystal says.

fboy island season 2
not counting Felix Van Hofe

The bonfire

Once Jerome (the one who wears Crocs) shares that likes “licking ass” and “eating ass” (just like Flume), the FBoy Island crew head to a bonfire.

fboy island season 2
Cue Love Island montage

Krystal confirms she may have “sucked” off that guy from the Gold Coast but does not confirm if it was on Cavill Ave. Her memory is really failing her for someone who writes FBoy reminders in her notebook.

So far we know that the guy who wore a leather jacket on an island called her the wrong name and the guy who was on The Amazing Race isn’t sure if he wants to give up the single life.

We also know that everyone’s obsessed with Nicole, even though we all know she is going to choose The Hot One.

as per my last email, I would like to be heard

Sadly The Hot One is also The Dense One because he tells a woman wearing a full face of makeup that she’s a “natural beauty”.

fboy island season 2
lol this is makeup

Nicole reminds him of the makeup she is wearing, while looking at him with the same eyes lined with eyeliner and shaded with glitter.

“Doesn’t look like it,” he responds. Does this man think we came out of the womb looking like Mila Kunis in her Black Swan era?

you’re telling me those diamantes under your eyes aren’t permanent?

Someone open their TikTok and show this man a GRWM.

Thankfully another man named Nick takes over and he knows the word “intrinsic” so please, do not be fooled by his earlier peck pumping.

I brought my thesaurus

Krystal, who was once on The Bachelors, has taken a liking to Paddy, who was once on The Bachelorette.

“Paddy, he isn’t the hottest,” Krystal says and my heart breaks from him watching this back right now.

fboy island season 2
which means you’ll be fab at going down

Krystal can sense an anaconda in those pants so she gives him a pash with so much tongue it requires a KFC wet clean up towel.

slurp

“I love how you played with my tongue,” he tells her and I may just vomit on my television screen.

da fuq u just say

In other areas of the party, a man with tatoos decides to dry-root Nicole’s foot and Frank is trying to convince Krystal he’s a nice guy because his ex slept with his mate behind his back.

That doesn’t make you a nice guy, it just means you have fucked friends.

fboy island season 2
nice try

It’s time to choose who the ladies will be taking on their first dates.

Nicole chooses Jack (the man who can both use big words and pop his pecks), Krystal chooses Frank (to try and determine his FBoy status once and for all) and Ally goes for The Hot One (The Christian Who Has Sex Before Marriage AKA The Man Who Thinks Women Were Born With Eyeliner).

fboy island season 2
you lack common sense but as long as you fuck before nuptials we’re good

The first dates

Ally is wet. She’s dickmatised by The Hot One’s past four-year relationship and ability to talk nicely about his ex.

a man who doesn’t talk shit about his ex? Rare find!!!

Then he slips his tongue in like the good Christian boy he is.

forgive me father for I have sinned

Meanwhile, Krystal is embracing her inner Cavill Ave by sharing a vodka cruiser with Frank after making him run around a sunflower garden naked.

we love preemptive revenge

Nicole and Jack jetski, talk about how much they like each other and then slip their tongues in both on dry land and in the sea.

we are so intrinsic rn bby

We finish off our dates portion of the episode by Ally finding out that The Hot One liked Nicole first and would like to still get to know her considering he’s known Ally a full three minutes.

But she was born with eye glitter!

Ally cries.

The elimination

The girls have taken to their directors chairs for their first FBoy Island elimination.

A bunch of people we hardly know are up for elimination, plus Frank, that foot fucker, The Hot One (!!!) and that Jake dude who you recognise from The Amazing Race. Sadly The Amazing Race dude already left (probably to go on another reality TV show).

enjoy Love Is Blind

Only the foot fucker and Jin leave. Jin is the one who told Nicole she was stunning. Sorry, that didn’t narrow it down, did it?

This is Jin

Jin and his slutty ankles are an Fboy but the dry foot fucker is a Nice Guy!

I’ll never dry root a foot again

One down, many to go. I’ll be writing FBoy Island Season 2 recaps the entire season so I’ll see you here next Monday but until then, you can follow me on Instagram.

Everything you need to know about FBoy Island Season 2

FBoy Island Australia is coming back for Season Two and finally we’ve got the deets we’ve been waiting for — a trailer, release date and even our leading ladies.

Keep reading for everything we know so far about FBOY Island Season Two, including a familiar face as part of the leading ladies, one hell of a packed trailer, where the show’s filmed and more.

Here’s everything we know about FBoy Island Australia 2024.

Is there an FBoy Island Season Two trailer?

Sure is! And let me tell you, FBoy Island Season Two looks like it will D-E-L-I-V-E-R. Do I spy Abbie Chatfield telling someone off? Do I spy a Bachie contestant (more on that below)? Keen!!!

The official trailer follows a few teases we’ve copped this month, including one where Abbie asks why Limbro is open.

(For the uninitiated, Limbro is where naughty FBOYs are sent to repent after they’re eliminated.)

Could Abbie asking “Who left it open?” mean that some of the FBoysfrom Season One are returning in Season Two? Could Vernon Lyon be back for another round?

You can watch it below.

Who is in the FBoy Island Season Two cast?

The FBoys and Nice Guys for Season Two have just been announced and they include some reality TV alumni! See the FBoy Island men, including one block from Bachelor In Paradise and one from Amazing Race Australia.

will be made up of just yet. There’s a decent taste of what we’re in for thanks to the trailer above, though. I don’t think they’re going to disappoint.

Who are FBoy Island Australia’s leading ladies?

Australia, meet Krystal Thomas, Ally Woodfall and Nicole Mitrov.

From left to right: Ally Woodfall, Krystal Thomas, Nicole Mitrov. Image: BINGE.

Krystal has experience navigating FBoys — you might remember her as a The Bachelors contestant where she dated Felix Van Hofe.

Nicole is a model and Ally is Vernon‘s ex.

Who will host FBOY Island Season Two?

Abbie will return as host of FBoy Island Australia after nailing the job for Season One.

fboy island season two abbie chatfield
Literally the best host choice for this show. Image: BINGE.

Not only has she been on a reality dating show before as runner-up for Matt Agnew‘s The Bachelor season, but she also knows when to call out people for being shitty.

In Abbie we trust.

What can we expect from FBOY Island Season Two?

Host Abbie explained that while fans can expect drama again this season, the sophomore season will be different from the first.

fboy island season two cast
FBOY Island Season Two’s leading ladies with host Abbie. Image: BINGE.

“This season is as drama-filled but in really different ways,” Chatfield told Daily Telegraph earlier this year.

“The stories along the way are way more complex and I think the three leading women did such an amazing job at supporting each other, really doing detective work and being steadfast.

“They had some hard conversations with each other along the way as well, which I think is what real friendship is all about.”

FBOY Island Season Two release date

The official FBOY Island Season Two release date is August 5, 2024. Pencil it in! It will air every Monday for nine weeks.

Which FBOY Island Season One couples are still together?

In Season One, Molly O’Halloran, Ziara Rae and Sophie Blackley attempted to navigate their way through the FBOYs and find true love.

FBOY Island leads and their final picks. Image: BINGE.

Molly and Ziara both snagged “nice guys” in Nick Brown and Izaya Leota respectively. And they’re still with their chosen picks!

Meanwhile, Sophie chose Joshy Allen, even though he was revealed to be an FBoy. They split up shortly after.

How to watch FBoy Island Australia

FBOY Island Australia streams exclusively on streaming service BINGE from August 5. You can watch everyone episode of Season One now.

Where is FBoy Island Australia filmed?

Sadly (or gladly?) there is no actual FBoy Island on Google Maps. FBoy Island Australia is filmed in a place called Casaurina which is 150km south to south east of Brisbane.

It’s a good day for The Boys fans because the show’s getting a spinoff

Amazon Prime Video’s The Boys is getting a prequel spinoff called Vought Rising which is great news for fans who were bummed about Season 5 ending.

The Boys spinoff was announced during a panel presentation at San Diego Comic-Con. Supernatural‘s Jensen Ackles (Soldier Boy) and Aya Cash (Stormfront) will feature in the new prequel series.

Here’s everything we know so far about the upcoming The Boys spinoff, Vought Rising.

What is The Boys spinoff Vought Rising about?

Vought Rising is “a twisted murder mystery about the origins of Vought in the 1950s”, according to the official The Boys Instagram page.

“Vought Rising may or may not feature the very first Herogasm, founded in 1952,” the post added about The Boys spinoff.

For the uninitiated, Herogasm is a yearly festival where superheroes engage in a bunch of sexual activity. A selling point for the new spinoff if I ever did hear one!

Vought Rising will also follow “the early exploits of Soldier Boy, and the diabolical manoeuvres of a ‘Supe’ known to fans as Stormfront, who was then going by the name Clara Vought”, according to executive producers Eric Kripke and Paul Grellong‘s statement (shared by news.com.au).

“We cannot wait to blow your minds and trouble your souls with this salacious, grisly saga drenched in blood and Compound V.”

This will be the third The Boys spinoff.

The Boys Season 5 will be the last

During the San Diego Comic-Con panel, it was also revealed that Jensen will play a major role in The Boys Season 5 and that a relationship between Soldier Boy and Homelander will be further explored.

The Boys Season 4 premiered in June 2024 and it was recently confirmed that Season 5 would be its last.

Just before the highly anticipated premiere of Season 4 in June, Eric Kripke (the mastermind behind the show), announced that Season 5 would be the final season.

“SEE YOU FOR OUR FINAL SEASON, MOTHERF***ERS!” the tweet read.

“From the very beginning, I wanted to wrap it out around season five,” Kripke told The Hollywood Reporter.

“And then I would say plans really solidified that we were going to actually do it years ago.

“It might have been because I was trained as a TV writer and there were five acts,” he added.

“It gives you enough time to get to know the characters… It’s about the characters and then you kick off into a climax.”

End of an era! At least now we have The Boys spinoff to look forward to, huh?

The Boys is available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.

Harry Garside shares an important realisation following his Olympics elimination

Harry Garside has shared a heartfelt message on social media after missing out on the gold medal he was gunning for at the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.

Overnight Australian time, Harry was eliminated in the first round of the men’s 63.5kg class. He won a bronze medal at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic games and had been hoping to score a gold in Paris.

In a post-match interview that personally broke my heart watching at home, Harry apologised to his home country and revealed that times ahead will be tough for him.

Harry Garside’s disappointment over his Paris 2024 Olympics outcome

“It is crazy… two decades dedicated to one dream and it is over just like that,” Harry told Nine.

“Australia is such a sporting nation and I’m so sorry. Honestly, I feel like a failure right now … I don’t even know what to say,” he added.

“Deep down inside I fear for what the next couple of months look like for myself. I’m sure there’ll be some dark times. I’ve just got to prepare for that now.”

Harry’s heartfelt realisation

Harry has taken to social media following his Olympics outcome to share how he’s feeling after some time to process and we’re glad to see him looking a bit more optimistic.

Sharing that he’s been “beating himself up for a couple of hours” over the events before coming to a “realisation”.

“I had this realisation that I wanted a two-decade journey to try and get that gold medal. And yes, I didn’t get that gold medal but I became my own friend in that journey,” Harry reflected.

Harry continued to explain that his self-worth was low at the beginning of the journey and now he feels like he has the relationship with himself to manage his inner-critic.

“Over the last three years, I really worked hard and trying to build my self-worth and trying to grow and evolve and be kind to myself more often. In that, I don’t get success, but I’d rather be my friend and have no success.”

Harry then got emotional as he went on to share his hopes of becoming a dad one day.

“Being a dad and not passing on negative things to my kids is really important to me. So I’m really happy that the two-decade journey wasn’t for nothing,” Harry finished.

Absolutely sensational human that the whole of Australia is cheering on right now, gold medal or not.

You can watch the Paris 2024 Olympics on 9 and 9Now. Harry Garside also appeared on I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2023 which you can watch on 10Play.

Neighbours costars honour Janet Andrewartha following the news of her death

Australian actor Janet Andrewartha — known fondly as Lyn Scully on soap Neighbours — has died. She was 72.

Neighbours announced the passing of Janet on their social media channels, sharing that the cast and crew of the television show are “deeply saddened”.

According to Herald Sun, Janet died peacefully on Friday with her daughters, Sarah and Eloise, by her side.

Janet also played Reb Keane in Prisoner: Cell Block H, and more recently appeared in Safe Home on SBS and the Logie-nominated Paramount+ drama Fake starring Asher Keddie.

Neighbours costars share tributes for Janet Andrewartha

In the social media post announcing Janet’s passing, Neighbours cast member Jackie Woodburne (who plays Susan Kennedy) remembered Janet as “an extraordinary woman” who she will miss.

“Janet was one of the finest actors of her generation, but more than that, she was an extraordinary woman,” Jackie said in the Neighbours post.

“Passionate, political, curious, delightfully eccentric, generous and fun. To me she was a steadfast friend for over 45 years. I will miss her every day.”

Stefan Dennis (who plays Paul Robinson) commented on the post to echo Jackie’s words.

“So very upset to lose the lovely Janet,” Stefan wrote. “As Jackie said, she truly was an exceptional actress who was a pleasure work with and to be around. We will all miss you dear girl.”

Lucinda Cowden (who plays Melanie Pearson), remembered Janet’s impact in her role as Reb Keane in Prisoner: Cell Block H.

“I remember when I first saw her on Prisoner … she lit up the screen, and continued to grace us with her exceptional talent in so many interesting and unique characters,” Lucinda wrote. “Vale Janet.”

Holly Vallance (who played Felicity Scully, the daughter of Lyn) shared her heartbreak on X (formerly known as Twitter).

“She was a superb human being who taught me so much from the age of 15. I’ll treasure her last trip to the UK forever,” Holly wrote.

The pair caught up late last year.

“Precious memories I’m so grateful for. A beautiful, talented, hilarious & kind woman.

“I’m so glad it was you who played my Mum. You were the real deal. Made us feel safe. And looked after us when we were all so young in the industry. It was an honour to work beside you and call you a friend.”

Carla Bonner (who played Steph Scully, Lyn’s daughter) shared an image of a candle overnight to her Instagram Stories saying, “I will miss you forever.”

Ada Nicodemou confirms her “lovely” relationship with costar James Stewart

Ada Nicodemou has officially confirmed that she is dating her Home and Away costar James Stewart and we couldn’t be happier for the pair.

“Jimmy and I are together, yes,” Ada said in an interview with Stellar magazine that was published over the weekend.

“At 47, you know what you want and what you don’t. It’s only early days,” Ada continued.

“It’s very recent and very unexpected. I’m super happy. It’s really lovely.”

This is huge news for Home and Away fans as the rumours of the pair’s romance first started swirling in May after photos of Ada and James kissing emerged.

It was following the April announcement of Ada’s split from Adam Rigby. Ada and Adam were together for eight years.

James, 48, finalised his divorce from former Home And Away star Sarah Roberts in March. The pair were together for five years.

Were Ada and James together while shooting their wedding scene?

Ada and James play husband and wife on Home and Away as their characters Leah Patterson and Justin Morgan. In fact, the pair filmed wedding scenes for the soap last year and the episode itself aired in April.

Prior to Ada’s confirmation of their relationship, The Sunday Telegraph reported that she was spotted kissing James at a Seven Network Christmas party last year.

That being said, Ada shut down any rumours that she was involved with James during shooting.

“There weren’t genuine feelings then,” Ada explained.

The couple’s characters got married earlier this year. Image: Seven.

“It was shot last year. But I think whenever you’re watching any TV couple, you’re always wondering if they really do have feelings.

“We’ve always respected each other. We’ve known each other since [1998 soap opera] Breakers. Jimmy is an amazing actor,” she added.

“I’ve loved working with him for five years and I think our scenes are great. I always like going to work — we push ourselves, and push each other, in a really good way.”

As someone who’s watched Ada’s character, Leah, lose Vinnie (Ryan Kwanten) all those years ago, I’m happy for her. And for Ada too!

MAFS’ Eden says Jayden lying about *that* confession still “baffles” her to this day

Remember when Jayden Eynaud told Eden Harper during Married At First Sight’s confessions week that he slept with his ex’s best friend while she watched? It was truly shocking television in every sense of the word.

The shock quickly turned to confusion when a woman claiming to be Jayden’s ex-girlfriend told PEDESTRIAN.TV that his confession was a lie, though. Why — WHY — would you lie about something like… that?

It’s something that still baffles Jayden’s TV bride Eden, who admitted to Chattr that she found out it was a lie “during MAFS airing” like everyone else.

That’s a lot of months to be kept in the dark. Keep reading to see what Eden had to say about Jayden’s confession lie.

Jayden told Eden he slept with his ex’s best friend after finding out she cheated on him. Image: Nine.

How did Eden feel when Jayden told her that confession?

Even though it seemed like Jayden’s confession was quickly forgotten about by viewers, Eden revealed that the whole thing really changed things for the relationship.

“When I first experienced the confession letter in real life, I had only known Jayden a few weeks,” Eden told Chattr.

“It was hard at the time as I really liked him. Prior to finding out I trusted him 100 per cent and but that trust was completely shattered,” she continued.

“It made me question and overthink everything he ever said from that day on.

“So as much as I did make the choice to forgive him, the trust was subconsciously broken and I wouldn’t have been the best version of myself in the relationship from then on.”

How did Eden feel watching Australia’s reaction to Jayden’s confession?

Eden says that having to watch the confession on television was difficult, especially because of how much their relationship had grown outside the experiment in that time.

“Reliving the story all over again when it aired was really hard for me as by that point I’d been with the guy for seven-to-eight months and was completely in love.

“It was tough seeing everyone’s opinions and they way people spoke about him online.”

Eden was upset when she found out Jayden’s MAFS confession. Image: Nine.

How did Eden find out Jayden’s confession was a lie?

While Australia found out about the lie within 24 hours of the episode airing, Eden thought it was true for months — up until Jayden himself admitted it was false.

“The day after it aired, his ex-girlfriend had come out and claimed the story was false,” Eden recalled.

“After that, he did admit to me that it didn’t happen.

“It made me really angry to be honest — angry at him for putting me through that and putting his ex through that and for sharing it on national television.

“It honestly made me so angry that if I wanted to be with him, I really had to choose to forgive him for it and never bring it up again, which is the choice I made.”

Eden and Jayden announced their breakup in April 2024. Image: Nine.

She’s a stronger woman than me! Jayden and Eden announced their break up just after MAFS 2024 stopped airing.

As for why Jayden would make up a story that doesn’t necessarily make him look great of national (and later international) television, Eden hinted she’d probably never know.

“It baffles me to this day why anyone would make that up,” she explained to Chattr.

“I couldn’t get a straight answer from him as to why, just lots of different reasons and blaming other people which didn’t make any sense.”

Jayden was accused of lying during home visits week as well.

It’s situations like this that make me want to study the human mind.

House of the Dragon fans are wigging out over this incest scene

House of the Dragon has once again shocked its viewers with confronting footage and this time it’s kept it in the family with an incest scene. Yes, you read that right.

Although it’s a storyline we’ve seen before in the Game of Thrones universe and George R.R Martin‘s work in general, viewers of the hit show have some thoughts about the latest House of the Dragon incest scene where a character imagined having sex with his mother.

While it’s almost expected from the same show that shocked viewers with a confronting blowjob scene earlier this month, I can understand the confused reaction from the general public when it comes to the House of the Dragon incest scene in question.

Whether you’re a regular viewer of House of the Dragon or not, one thing’s for sure: this scene is so uncomfortable to watch (which you can do below at your own risk):

What happens in the incest scene with Daemon’s mother?

The footage shows Daemon Targaryen (Matt Smith) having a very sensual dream about his mother, Alyssa Targaryen (Emeline Lambert).

“Daemon, you were always the strong one. The finest swordsman. The fearless dragon rider,” Alyssa tells her son as he… goes down on her.

house of the dragon incest scene daemon mother
Keep your head where I can see it! Image: House of the Dragon.

At one point, she says, “If only you’d been born first, my favourite son.”

This was the first appearance viewers have seen of Daemon’s mother as she passed away during childbirth complications.

For the uninitiated, Daemon is also married to his own niece Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy). In this House of the Dragon episode, the visions he has of his mother are sent by witch Alys Rivers (Gayle Rankin) to wig him out.

One person questioned the point of the scene including Daemon’s mother, labelling it as “so cringe, disgusting and absolutely unnecessary” on X, formerly known as Twitter.

“Daemon snap out of it! Eating thy mother’s box was not on my bingo card for this episode,” another wrote.

Heavens to Betsy.

If you want to see what went down for yourself (no judgement), then you can stream The House of Dragon on BINGE.

Shannen Doherty’s publicist confirmed the news

“It is with a heavy heart that I confirm the passing of actress Shannen Doherty,” Shannen’s longtime publicist, Leslie Sloane, confirmed in an exclusive statement to PEOPLE.

“On Saturday, July 13, she lost her battle with cancer after many years of fighting the disease.

“The devoted daughter, sister, aunt and friend was surrounded by her loved ones as well as her dog, Bowie.

“The family asks for their privacy at this time so they can grieve in peace,” the statement continued.

Costars mourn Shannen Doherty’s death

Shannen’s costars and friends have been taking to social media to grieve following the news of her death.

Rose McGowan, who starred in Charmed following Shannen’s departure from the hit show, remembered her friend as a “soft-hearted badass” with the “heart of a lion”.

You can read the full tribute below.

Jennie Garth starred in Beverly Hills, 90210 with Shannen, both in the original version of the series and the 90210 reboot which started airing in 2008.

“I am still processing my tremendous grief over the loss of my long-time friend Shannen, the woman I have often described as one of the strongest people I have ever known,” Jennie wrote alongside photos of the pair from their early Beverly Hills, 90210 days.

Shenae Grimes-Beech, who played Annie Wilson in the 90210 reboot alongside Shannen, shared her tribute on Instagram Reels.

“To the icon, the legend, the take-no-sh!t WARRIOR of a woman, Shannen Doherty… thank you for inspiring me in more ways than I can bring myself to put into words right now,” Shenae wrote alongside a video she posted to Instagram.

“You paved the way and it was an absolute privilege and honour to follow in your footsteps.”

Tori Spelling wrote “I don’t have outward words yet… but we KNEW and that’s what matters” to her Instagram Stories alongside a selfie of her and Shannen.

Shannen Doherty cause of death

Shannen was diagnosed with breast cancer almost a decade ago. She confirmed the news in August 2015 when she was aged 44.

“Yes, I have breast cancer, and I am currently undergoing treatment,” the actress said in a statement to PEOPLE at the time.

Two years later Shannen went into remission but announced in 2020 that the cancer had returned as Stage 4. It was made public in court documents that her cancer was terminal, as reported by TODAY.

Shannen underwent brain surgery in 2023 following the cancer metastasising to her bones and brain.

Shannen had been open and honest about her condition in her ‘Let’s Be Clear’ podcast, sharing that earlier treatment protocols were no longer working.

Our thoughts are with Shannen’s family and friends during this incredibly difficult time.

One social media post has caused uproar between the MAFS cast

The Married At First Sight 2024 drama is still in full force with Sara Mesa and Lauren Dunn calling out MAFS groom Tim Calwell for his latest Instagram Reel.

But now the rest of the MAFS cast have gotten involved, as they do, and the word ‘drama’ just doesn’t cut it.

Keep reading to catch up on everything from start to finish.

What did Tim post on Instagram?

Tim shared a video to his 111,000 Instagram followers which featured Tim doing activities with his new girlfriend, Barbara Griebeler, attending a few appointments and showing a car with a sign reading, “WARNING! 100% BITCH”.

“This car reminds me of someone,” Tim’s voiceover said.

Sara, who was fake-married to Tim during the experiment, took to Instagram Stories to express her frustration.

What Sara said about Tim’s reel

“If my partner put a video of us doing cute things together on the internet for the world to see and then subliminally took a dig at his ex-girlfriend, I would be livid. Livid,” Sara said in her Instagram Stories.

sara mesa mafs tim calwell
Sara took to Instagram Stories to air her thoughts about Tim’s reel. Image: @saramessy

“I hope that she’s still okay that you mentioned me in there, regardless of whether it’s calling me ‘100% Bitch’. Don’t you think that it’s time to move on and give her that respect as well?” Sara asked.

Sara also suggested that there was a side of Tim not shown on MAFS Season 11.

“That reel that you made including me is giving insecure and that is the man that you showed to me the whole time on the show. And I really wish that people could have seen that side.”

What Lauren had to say about Tim’s reel

Sara’s MAFS bestie, Lauren, also entered the chat in her own Q&A on Instagram Stories.

lauren dunn mafs 2024
Lauren entered the chat to call Tim out for using the word “Bitch”. Source: @lauren_funn_

“Do these men not get it? We just don’t call women bitches in 2024,” Lauren said.

“The men in our season, they just weren’t it. They just don’t understand society and what’s acceptable and what’s not acceptable,” she continued.

“Just a lack of intelligence and I can’t argue with stupid people.”

Lauren also noted that she was sent the video because she doesn’t follow Tim.

What Tim had to say about his reel

Speaking to Yahoo Lifestyle!, Tim said that he didn’t mention anyone specifically.

“I didn’t actually mention anyone at all! It seems like everyone is projecting their own thoughts onto my reel,” he told Yahoo Lifestyle!

“I like talking about my life experiences, regardless of if that chapter in my life is closed. MAFS is certainly a unique experience and I’ll likely keep sharing mine.”

What the MAFS cast are saying about the post

When the account @sodramaticpodcast_ posted Sara’s Instagram Story on their own page, fellow MAFS 2024 cast member Eden Harper entered the chat.

tim calwell instagram reel mafs

“So Sara can call Cass [Allen] a c****, Lauren call Jono [McCullough] a snake, dog, c*** (to name a few),” Eden wrote in the comments section.

“But that’s funny and lighthearted… It’s only unacceptable and wrong when Tim does it? The double standards are laughable.”

MAFS intruder Michael Felix added, “Louder for the people in the back” and Jono wrote, “Double standard queens.”

When asked by Chattr what her thoughts are about Sara and Lauren calling out Tim’s behaviour, she made it clear that what Tim said was “inappropriate”.

“I don’t think there was any malicious intent from Tim, but it’s definitely important for him to understand that using that kind of language is inappropriate and can be really damaging,” Eden told Chattr.

“However, I also believe that Lauren and Sara need to take some accountability for the name calling, insults, and bullying behaviour that they constantly demonstrate themselves.”

What do Lauren and Sara think about their cast’s comments?

In response to the “double standards” claims of her cast mates, Sara argued that “two wrongs don’t make a right”.

“Just because I did wrong doesn’t mean that Tim gets a hall pass for alluding to calling me a bitch,” Sara told Chattr.

“I apologised to Cassandra,” Sara added, in response to calling her the C word.

“That is the only time I use vulgar language to someone. And I would never do that publicly on the internet for the world to see.”

Lauren responded to the comments from her MAFS cast mates in a follow-up video on Instagram.

“I was the queen of the insult. I understand that. The purpose of what we’re talking about is men with a platform perpetuating language that is violent to women.”

MAFS continue to deliver lessons in what’s acceptable even without them all on our screens, no John Aiken required.

Will Ferrell was “so embarrassed” by his real name growing up

As with many celebrities you see and hear about, Will Ferrell is not actually the Stepbrothers actor’s real name.

In fact, Ferrell rarely gets addressed by his real name and would get “so embarrassed” if it was ever brought up.

In celebration of Anchorman‘s 20th anniversary, Ferrel joined his costar Christina Applegate and Jamie-Lynn Sigler (Big Sky) on their MeSsy podcast, where he discussed his legal name.

will ferrell real name
“It wasn’t my choice,” Will said on his legal name. Image: FOX Searchlight

What is Will Ferrell’s real name?

Ferrell’s legal name is John William Ferrell.

Discussing his youth with Applegate, Ferrell mentioned that he was able to make friends easily thanks to “being funny”.

However, he mentioned that the start of every school year could be quite embarrassing for him thanks to his real name rearing its head.

“This is a minor thing in terms of — it’s not really even trauma — but I remember feeling so embarrassed because my real name is John, John William Ferrell, so first day of school, I’d be John,” Ferrel recalled on the podcast.

“The teacher would be like ‘John Ferrell?’ and it was so embarrassing to me to have to say ‘Here, but I go by Will, I don’t go by John.’ “

Does Ferrell ever use his real first name?

Ferrell noted it took a while for his teachers to remember that he actually went by Will and not John, which was “excruciating”.

He also explained that kids at school would ask about his name after hearing him correct the teachers.

“I don’t know why that was so embarrassing to me to have to explain ‘I’m actually Will’,” he said.

“My parents named [me] John but they called me Will. I grew up as Will, but on a rule sheet, my legal name is John Ferrell.”

Ferrell told Applegate that he doesn’t like his legal name because it wasn’t his “choice”.

To be fair, I know a few people who’ve gone by their middle name their whole lives.

If you’re keen to love some lamp after reading this, you can watch Anchorman on Stan.

This podcast host reckons Eric Stonestreet is the worst guest she’s ever had

If you think that Cam from Modern FamilyEric Stonestreet — is likely the loveliest person in the world, podcast host Taylor Strecker‘s firsthand opinion of the actor is here to shake things up.

During an episode of Amazon Live’s In Bed With Paige DeSorbo (if you don’t listen to her Giggly Squad podcast with Hannah Berner, you should), Strecker did not hold back on her experience with the Modern Family star.

eric stonestreet modern family
Well, this should be interesting! Image: Modern Family

“Who’s the worst guest you’ve ever had on your podcast?” DeSorbo asked Strecker, who is the host of the Taste of Taylor podcast.

Unfazed, Strecker dropped Stonestreet’s name like the hot tea it is.

“He’s [Cameron Tucker] from Modern Family, and he’s like the chubby, jolly, sweet, funny one,” Strecker clarified when DeSorbo didn’t recognise the name.

“Could he be anything but… nasty!”

Strecker explained she quickly learned he was on her podcast to promote none other than Pepto-Bismol.

For the uninitiated, Pepto-Bismol is an anti-diarrhoea medication that’s a staple in American households but not available in Australia.

“I didn’t know!” Strecker explained.

Why was Eric Stonestreet her “worst” guest?

“So we’re chatting away, and I’m being my adorable self, and then he hits me with, ‘So when are we gonna talk about Pepto-Bismol?’”

Trying to roll with it, Strecker joked, “I have hemorrhoids. I’m the queen of diarrhea. I love Pepto-Bismol! We can talk about whatever you want.”

That was when she explained that things got a little sassy, if you will.

“And he said to me — and I quote — ‘Somebody didn’t do their homework.,” Strecker recalled.

As someone who interviews people in media regularly, that’s a pretty rough thing to hear.

“I said, ‘I’m sorry. Am I getting paid by Pepto-Bismol? No. So that’s your job to figure out, not mine.”

You know when people are relaying a story and it’s unclear if they actually said that thing or just thought it in response? I really hope she said that to him for the popcorn value alone.

It’s understood that the podcast appearance was likely around the time of his 2011 partnership with Pepto-Bismol for a Feeding America campaign.

I’d love to know the thoughts of whoever was the Pepto-Bismol publicist at the time. You know what they say? There are 17 sides to every story.

Modern Family streams on Disney+ if you want to watch it back with fresh eyes. Nab a subscription here.

Chelsea Handler roasts Sam Taunton over Margot Robbie pregnancy joke

Esteemed US comedian Chelsea Handler told The Project host Sam Taunton exactly how she felt about the Margot Robbie pregnancy joke he made and it wasn’t pretty.

Rumours quickly spread yesterday that Robbie and her partner, Tom Ackerley, were expecting their first child after paparazzi shots of the actress sporting an exposed stomach surfaced.

As Australia’s golden girl, it’s no surprise that Robbie’s reported pregnancy with Ackerley was a topic of conversation on the entertainment news program, The Project.

What was the Margot Robbie pregnancy joke?

“I’ve seen the Barbie movie by the way,” Taunton said. “It’s going to have to be a C-section.”

The joke didn’t immediately land with his cohosts, who started asking what he meant.

“About her in the Barbie movie?” he continued.

“What do you mean?” cohost Georgie Tunny asked.

“She doesn’t have a… [vagina],” Taunton finished.

What did Chelsea Handler say to Sam Taunton?

Later in The Project episode, which aired Monday, June 8, Handler joined the desk to promote her upcoming comedy tour titled ‘Little Big Bitch’.

“Before you get started, I want to touch on your Barbie joke,” Handler told Taunton.

“How can you even make a joke like that when you know a comedian is coming on the show? That’s humiliating for both of us,” she roasted him.

“It was a really bad joke. I felt so bad for you.”

Obviously aware of the cringe-worthy joke, Taunton told Handler that he was hoping it would never be brought up again.

“I had to,” Handler replied.

Sarah Harris and Tunny looked visibly uncomfortable as the exchange was happening, but also like they were low-key loving it. Who doesn’t love a good roast of their mate?

While it was definitely a case of two comedians joking with one another, it’s got to hurt to be schooled by someone so iconic on national television!

Handler’s tour kicks off in Melbourne Tuesday, July 9, and will also stop in Brisbane and Sydney. Buy tickets here.

We can officially confirm when the MasterChef Australia 2024 finale will air

MasterChef Australia 2024 has been a j-o-u-r-n-e-y, and now that we’re finally at the tail end of the season, we can confirm when the finale will air.

Throughout the season we’ve had impressive celebrity appearances, like Jamie Oliver and Curtis Stone, as well as some seriously drool-worthy dishes.

While this season’s been nothing short of spectacular, like all good things, it must come to an end.

Will Nat be in the MasterChef Australia finale

When is the MasterChef Australia 2024 finale on?

With just five contestants remaining, next week will see the competition enter Finals Week.

As per usual, the remaining Home Cooks will be whittled down until just three two are left to battle it out in the season’s final episode.

Channel 10 has confirmed to Chattr that this season’s MasterChef Australia finale will air on Tuesday, 16 July.

Who’s still in the competition?

At the time of writing, five contestants are still in the running for the MasterChef Australia 2024 finale.

Nat, Mimi, Josh ‘Pezza’ Perry, Harry and Sav will all take part in Finals Week in the hope of taking out the competition.

Harry on MasterChef

What is the MasterChef Australia 2024 prize?

The last standing contestant will, of course, receive bragging rights, as well as a whopping $250,000 cash prize. They’ll also (probably) gain a blue tick on Instagram. Winning!

What will happen during the MasterChef Australia Finals Week?

The episode that airs on Sunday July 7, will see one of the remaining five contestants eliminated. They will face off with some of the world’s most extreme ingredients and must select one ingredient to tame.

On Monday, the top four will tackle their final mystery box of the season. Under each mystery box is a golden ticket, and the winner of the challenge will be the first home cook to secure their place in the MasterChef Australia semi-final.

In the final challenge of the week on Tuesday, fish king Josh Niland will set a three-hour pressure test that will push everyone to their limits. Which seafood aficionado Harry will probably be excited about (if he makes it past Sunday’s elim ep).

The MasterChef Australia 2024 Finale will air on Tuesday, 16 July on Channel 10 and 10Play at 7:30pm.

Baby Reindeer almost cast this well-known name as Martha

Jessica Gunning wowed audiences around the world with her groundbreaking portrayal of Martha in the Netflix sensation Baby Reindeer.

However, news has just surfaced that there was another name in the mix for the role and I’m not sure how to feel about it.

According to a report by Variety, a source has claimed that agents for creator Richard Gadd (who also wrote and starred in Baby Reindeer as himself) “pushed aggressively” for Melissa McCarthy to play the leading role of Martha.

Can you imagine?

McCarthy reportedly wasn’t interested in the role

While McCarthy is known for her comedic roles such as her ones in Bridesmaids, The Heat and more, she has also shown her depth and more serious side in other roles such as Can You Ever Forgive Me? in 2018.

“A knowledgeable source says McCarthy met Gadd about the role but ultimately wasn’t interested,” the Variety report said.

“Those familiar with the production say Gadd micromanaged casting and fired his CAA agents after they and Netflix pushed aggressively for Melissa McCarthy to be cast as Martha.”

I don’t doubt that McCarthy would’ve been phenomenal in the role of Martha just like she nails every other character she’s portrayed, but Gunning’s casting was so perfect it’s hard to imagine the shoes being filled by anyone else.

Honestly, the way she brought so many layers to such a complex character was incredible.

About Baby Reindeer

Baby Reindeer has been met with high acclaim since the seven-episode series premiered on Netflix in April 2024.

Fiona Harvey (the woman claiming to be the real-life Martha) has since accused Gadd of lying in a tell-all interview with Piers Morgan.

Harvey has filed a $255 million lawsuit against Netflix, suing for defamation, negligence, intentional infliction of emotional distress and more.

You can stream every episode of Baby Reindeer on Netflix (if you haven’t already).

House of the Dragon fans shocked by blowjob scene

You know what they say: oral sex sells. OK, maybe that’s not quite it, but the gobby scene in the latest episode of House of the Dragon sure is getting people talking about the hit show.

The Game of Thrones spinoff has shocked viewers of Season 2, Episode 3 thanks to a massive penis (or schlong, wang, meat slapper for the more fun among you) alongside a spot of confronting blowjob activity.

It happened around halfway through the episode, which I know not from watching (it’s on my list) but because of how wild the internet’s going over it.

So how does a bit of head happen mid-episode, you ask? Well, King Aegon II Targaryen (Tom Glynn-Carney) treated his soldiers to a cheeky night out at a brothel — as you do — following many drinks.

When they rock up to said brothel, King Aegon opens a set of curtains to reveal a bunch of people getting jiggy with it.

The first curtain? A rather large penis. In a mouth. In front of all of our salads.

In case you were wondering: it’s been widely reported that the penis in question was a prosthetic one.

More explicit sex acts were revealed as he continued pulling back curtains, but nothing quite slapped viewers in the face like that first scenario.

The Game of Thrones universe is not a stranger to nudity and sex scenes. In the same episode, there is a full-frontal nude scene of Prince Aemond Targaryen (played by Ewan Mitchell).

Regardless, nothing prepared The House of the Dragon community for what they saw in Season 2, Episode 3.

“Was not expecting an explicit blowjob then Aemond full frontal in the span of 2 minutes,” a Redditor wrote.

If you want to see what went down for yourself (no judgement), then you can stream The House of Dragon on BINGE.

Could Home and Away OG Kate Ritchie save Summer Bay with her rumoured return?

There’s some strong intel that Home and Away‘s golden girl — none other than OG Kate Ritchie — could be returning to Summer Bay. And you know what? I think it’s what the show needs.

Kate Richie played Sally Fletcher on the Australian soap from 1988 until 2008 and her character absolutely went through it throughout her 20-year stint.

Her storylines included (but were not limited to) a dead husband, a long-lost brother and an imaginary friend. What a trooper!

Sally was an icon in Summer Bay and our television screens alike. There’s no doubt about it. And in my humble opinion, Home and Away has lost the plot in the years since she left the show.

That’s why I’m absolutely rooting for all these rumours about her returning to be true. But will it be enough, or is the show too far gone?

Will Kate Richie return to Home and Away?

Last year, Richie told her radio co-hosts on the Ryan ‘Fitzy’ Fitzgerald and Michael “Wippa” Wipfli that she’d definitely be back for a final episode of the show — not unlike Kylie Minogue returning from the final episode of Neighbours (or what we thought was the final episode).

“If Ray Meagher (Alf Stewart) asked me to come back, to change the sheets in the Caravan Park, I’d be there,” Richie told her cohosts in 2023.

More recently, the radio trio have been doubling down on her potential return, even claiming to have seen proof.

Last month Wippa asked Richie if she had caught up the the cast and crew from Home and Away, which she confirmed.

“I know you’re going back to the bay,” Wippa pushed. “I’ve seen your emails as I sit next to you in the office.”

“No you don’t, you have bad eyes,” Richie laughed back.

Wippa went on to say that he wanted to get “Home & Away fans warmed up” by “rolling out a couple of scenes here at Nova”. As he delved further into his plans, Kate asked:

“What is the point of this? Why are you trying to make me look silly, and you’re actually trying to blow an exclusive.”

Home and Away is “unrecognisable”

The rumours of Ritchie’s Home and Away return come after Meagher told TV Tonight that the longtime soap has lost its way.

When Ritchie started on the show, Home and Away was about a seaside community with the Fletcher family taking in foster children.

In recent times, however, the show became more focused on harder-hitting storylines, like crime, since the infamous “River Boys” (Lincoln Younes, Steve Peacocke and Dan Ewing) of 2011.

“I mean, that was just a great period. But was it Summer Bay? Hmmm …. in my humble opinion, not to that extent.”

But can any one person actually save Summer Bay?

While it seems like a return from Richie could help to get Home and Away bring back some lost viewers, there’d need to be more than just her reprised character to save the soap.

We’ve seen the return of other Home and Away OGs before like Roo Stewart (Georgie Parker) and Marilyn Chambers (Emily Symons), however, the show’s storylines and character mix were still different to its heyday.

Take Summer Bay High, for example. Not having the high school (we haven’t seen it since 2019) gaping hole in the current Home and Away format.

When a photo of ex-Summer Bay High students Casey Braxton (Younes), Sasha Bezmel (Demi Harman), Spencer Harrington (Andrew Morley) and Maddy Osborne (Kassandra Clementi) was posted to a popular Facebook group, fans were quick to get nostalgic.

“I wish they would use the school scenes again,” one fan wrote.

“I loved that it USED [to] encompass most age groups, if I am entirely honest I no longer get sad if I miss a[n] episode or two, or seven,” wrote another.

“Bring back those days. The present storylines are ridiculous.”

Perhaps if Sally comes back and resumes her role as a teacher, and they bring back a whole bunch of teenagers that Australia’s youth can relate to, then Home and Away might be in with a fighting chance?

If they could bring back Kim Hyde (Chris Hemsworth) while they’re at it, that’d be great.

“I can overcome obstacles and keep pushing forward”: Lochy on his time in the Masterchef kitchen

Last night, fan favourite Lachlan “Lochy” Whittle‘s time in the MasterChef kitchen came to a devastating end after he lost the time auction elimination challenge to fellow contestant (and bestie), Harry Butterfield.

“I’m just really proud of the food that I was able to put up,” Whittle reflects, speaking with Chattr.

“To not have the apparatus of what I’m so used to and what I’m actually really good at, to be able to get as deep in the competition as I did. I am extremely proud of that moment.”

Whittle describes the solace he finds in cooking and the release it gives him; something he looks forward to after work, even on the “bad days.”

“[You] just put on an album and cook something delicious and just groove to some music, and everything’s going to be all right again,” he says.

Whittle’s story has touched the hearts of many a MasterChef viewer after the heartbreaking reveal that his mother, Jan, passed away from Huntington’s Disease just days before filming.

The news came out during the Mum Cook challenge episode, along with another poignant revelation: that Whittle has since discovered he has inherited the degenerative brain condition.

Despite not having a conventional upbringing, he recalls, one where disease was an uncannily familiar character, but “always a difficult thing,” Whittle thanks his mum for giving him the power in that cook “to be able to push through, and realise that no matter what there is, I can overcome obstacles and keep pushing forward.”

He remembers that challenging day on the Masterchef floor, “the crew and the other contestants and even the judges knew what I was going through, and the support that I had on that day was phenomenal.”

Thinking about some of his favourite moments from the show, Whittle is grateful for the close friendship he struck up with kitchen mate, Harry Butterfield.

“It means the world to be able to be able to come into the competition and be able to click with somebody like Harry from day one,” he says.

“To have that kind of support system, that we would do so much together on our mornings to help get into the zone. Going into the kitchen and cooking every day, and then being able to come back and debrief with each other, cook for each other, and just talk about food and support each other’s ideas… it just made it so, so great.”

The ultimate Masterchef ‘bromance’ – can we please make ‘Hochy’ a thing?

He also fondly calls to mind “a really cool moment” that happened with esteemed Vietnamese-Australian chef and restaurateur, Luke Nguyen. It was particularly significant to him, given it was Nguyen who first made Whittle “fall in love” with Vietnamese cuisine.

“I actually travelled to Vietnam because of falling in love with him and his show and how he talks about food,” says Whitall.

“In my first cook in that elimination, I tried to really ‘MasterChef’ something on a traditional Vietnamese dish, and just didn’t pull it off.”

Despite the dish, short rib Bo La Lot, being what he estimates to be around 15 minutes away from what he envisioned, Whittle describes “the little message that Luke wrote to me in my Luke Nguyen Vietnam cookbook, which was absolutely beautiful, that made me feel so good about where my head was at.”

Lochy in the kitchen with Luke Nguyen – Instagram @lochycooks

“Don’t be surprised if you see that coming up in one of my restaurants, because I thought that was a fabulous idea,” wrote Nguyen.

The chef also gave a cheeky “Ps.” that he would be nabbing the wing bean and green mango pickle recipe Whittle used in his subsequent ghee-seared kingfish cook.

“I pride myself on Vietnamese cooking, and I tried to do a lot in that cook to really impress him. I may have bitten off more than I could chew, especially for a dish I hadn’t tested or done before,” Whittle admits.

“But to have that message after not being eliminated come down right in front of me really made me feel special about that.”

This is how much Harry Jowsey can make on a single Instagram Post

If Harry Jowsey‘s actions on the latest season of Netflix’s Perfect Match didn’t shock you then the serious coin he can make on Instagram sure will.

The 27-year-old Australian reality TV star — who shot to fame on Netflix’s Too Hot Too Handle debut season in 2020 — has an impressive 4.4 million followers on Instagram alone.

That’s a lot of potential influence and reach, something that is reflected in his estimated earnings on the platform.

As reported by PEDESTRIAN.TV, talent agency Hunter Talent has shared that Jowsey could charge just over $20,000 per post on the platform. Meanwhile, all a selfie costs me is my dignity.

harry jowsey instagram
Hear me out but I reckon I could also make $20K a post if I looked like this. And went on reality TV. Four times. (Image: @harryjowsey.)

In addition to his Instagram followers, Jowsey also has a podcast and YouTube channel to further attract brands into working with him.

Jowsey placed 28 in MediaWeek’s Social Media Influence 100 list in 2023.

He is also consistently re-entering the spotlight, following his reality TV debut in the midst of a global lockdown with stints on Dancing With The Stars, The Amazing Race Australia: Celebrity Edition and most recently the second season of Perfect Match.

Considering the cheeky possum knows how to cause a stir on screen, it’s safe to assume that each stint brings some increased engagement to Jowsey’s platforms.

In the latest season of Perfect Match, Jowsey was caught lying to his match on the show about kissing another contestant.

Is the pope catholic? (Image: Netflix.)

In the past, he was televised proposing to Francesca Farago following their rollercoaster romance on Too Hot To Handle.

The bloke does some questionable shit but boy does he know how to make good television. And with an estimated $20,000 price tag, I’m assuming he can do the same thing for Instagram ads.

The real reason McSteamy left Grey’s Anatomy won’t help you sleep at night

There are a lot of things I’m still forgiving Grey’s Anatomy creator Shonda Rhimes for (like that musical episode — why?) but the departure of Mark Sloan (Eric Dane) from the Seattle Grace roster is pretty high on that list.

Today Dane — the man who played McStreamy before he rudely McLeft us — has helped us inch closer to closure by clarifying why he was savagely booted from the wildly successful television drama.

Not mad, just disappointed. (Image: Grey’s Anatomy.)

(Side note: I’m going to assume if you’re here you know what happened to Dane’s character in Grey’s Anatomy Season 9 but, on the off chance you don’t, I should let you know that this article will include spoilers.)

In a new podcast episode of Dax Shepard‘s Armchair Expert, Dane opened up about his struggles with drugs and alcohol, however, clarified that it wasn’t the reason he left Grey’s Anatomy.

In fact, he basically says he didn’t leave at all — at least not on his own accord.

“I didn’t leave so much as I think I was let go,” Dane explained.

“I was struggling. They didn’t let me go because of that, although it definitely didn’t help”.

The 51-year-old went on to say that he was let go after his six-year stint on the medical drama due to his pay-check.

“I was starting to become – as most of these actors who have spent significant time on the show – you start to become very expensive for the network,” Dane told Shepard.

“And the network knows that the show is going to do what it’s going to do irrespective of who they keep on it – as long as they have their [Meredith] Grey they were fine.”

To refresh your memory, Dane was killed off following a fatal plane accident.

It was extra hard pill to swallow considering we had lost Lexie Grey (Chyler Leigh) — another main character and McSteamy’s longtime love interest — just a few episodes prior.

It’s still one of the most talked about storylines of the show’s 20-season strong run on air.

The deaths of the pair were so impactful that Seattle Grace Mercy West Hospital was renamed the Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital in tribute.

Dane joined Grey’s Anatomy in Season Two which aired back in 2006.

“I wasn’t the same guy they had hired. So I had understood when I was let go,” Dane explained on the podcast.

“And Shonda was really great,” Dane clarified of the mastermind behind the show.

“She protected us fiercely. She protected us publicly. She protected us privately…,” he continued.

“But I was probably fired. It wasn’t ceremoniously like, ‘You’re fired,’ it was just like, ‘You’re not coming back.’”

They say reasons can provide understanding and closure, but I’m not sure these ones are going to help me sleep any better at night. Especially when my dreams involve an alternate universe where Mark and Lexie have several babies.

But at least Dane can get decent shut-eye knowing that the show peaked while he was on it?

Perfect Match: All the cosmetic enhancements behind Jimmy’s glow up

Jimmy Presnell strolled onto the set of the Perfect Match villa looking like a completely different person from his time on his first Netflix show, Love is Blind — largely due to some big cosmetic enhancements he’s had in recent years.

Jimmy’s enhanced appearance was the talk of the premiere Perfect Match episode, with Squid Game: The Challenge‘s Mackenzie Bellows commenting that “Jimmy’s glow-up since Love Is Blind did not go unnoticed.”

Fans were also quick to point out his transformation, with one quipping that “Jimmy’s glow up from Love is Blind to Perfect Match should be studied.”

“I’m watching Perfect Match on Netflix and who was that man on screen, they keep saying it’s Jimmy but that’s not Jimmy,” another commented.

Jimmy himself even joked about his change in appearance since the 2024’s season of Love Is Blind. “Chat do we like this pic more than my last TV appearance lol,” he commented on his official Perfect Match cast pic posted on the Netflix Instagram account.

The American reality star has been open about his glow-up and the steps he took to transform his appearance into the full-haired, bronzed look he’s sporting on Perfect Match — which turns out, isn’t actually that much. Read on to find out exactly what he did.

Jimmy got a hair transplant in America

Jimmy’s biggest change would have to be his hair transplant — he was noticeably thinning in the 2024 Love is Blind episodes, and now he has a full head of hair.

Jimmy detailed the process of the hair transplant on his TikTok and Instagram, saying his choice to undergo the operation “may have been the greatest decision he made in his life”.

“I genuinely just wanted a little bit more hair there,” he added, pointing at the sides of his head. “And it just keeps coming in, fuller and thicker, day by day, month by month.”

The reality star explained that he decided to get the treatment done in America, which set him back around AUD $15,000, rather than heading overseas for a discount price.

“I decided to stay in the states for my procedure, which typically is a little bit more expensive to do. But there’s a lot of things that come with that, and I’ll explain that as well.”

“They charge roughly (USD) $5 a graft. I had a little over 2,000 grafts, I think 2,100 or 2,200. So roughly 10, 11 grand for the procedure.”

“When I was going through the evaluation process, I was getting quotes anywhere from $3,000 to $5,000.

“It included flights, it included hotels, all that good stuff, but there was no ongoing consultation or talking to your surgeon. So they just pretty much send you home after the surgery. You don’t really have any type of relationship.”

He fixed his teeth before Perfect Match

@jimmypresnell Replying to @Bella someone tell me if these are veeners lol #fyp #compositebonding ♬ original sound – jimmypresnell

While rumours circulated on social media that Jimmy got veneers post-Love is Blind, he’s since debunked that, saying that he only got composite bonding on his front teeth for medical reasons.

“I had composite bonding done to the front two teeth and the front two teeth only. So it really just elongated my smile where I was grinding very badly,” he explained.

Jimmy added that he also used Invisalign — a clear tray that straightens teeth — to correct his crooked teeth.

“I had braces at one point, and I elected not to wear my retainer couple [of] months after getting them, and then they didn’t fit. The retainers served two purposes for me. It kept my teeth in line, but it also served as a protector at night,” he said.

“More than the shifting of my teeth after braces, I should have definitely won my retainer because I was grinding these teeth so bad. So I’m on Invisalign now, which is kind of serving both of those things for me right now, adjusting my teeth while also protecting them at night.”

Melissa Leong breaks silence over her reality show being axed days before airing

In a sad turn of events for former MasterChef Australia judge Melissa Leong and everyone involved, SBS has made the eleventh-hour decision to axe her latest TV show.

The new series, Taste of Art, was scheduled to hit screens in just a few days, but the network has officially pulled it from the lineup following serious allegations regarding the conduct of Leong’s co-star, Vaughan Mabee.

“SBS will not broadcast the acquired series Taste of Art New Zealand at this time,” the broadcaster said in a statement.

“This decision follows allegations of misconduct concerning the program’s co-host, Vaughan Mabee. Mr Mabee has issued a formal public apology in response to these allegations.”

Why Melissa Leong Taste of Art axed from SBS?
Image: SBS.

The controversy stems from Vaughan Mabee’s previous role as the executive chef at the renowned Arrowtown restaurant, Amisfield. He faced multiple allegations of serious workplace misconduct during his time at the restaurant, including bullying, physical aggression, alcohol and verbal abuse, and making lewd or derogatory comments specifically directed at female staff.

In the aftermath of the Taste of Art being removed from SBS’s schedule, Melissa Leong shared a statement. “I signed on to helm Taste of Art last year, excited and honoured to contribute to a show that celebrates the highest potential in cuisine artistry,” Leong wrote on her Instagram Story.

“It is with great disappointment that the show’s resounding success has been hampered by such unfortunate circumstances these past weeks.”

Melissa went on to say that as a victim-survivor, she felt the urge to address the allegations.

“As a victim-survivor, it would feel like a betrayal to me if I did not say something about the situation at hand, and it’s this: We need to listen when women speak up, because it isn’t without fear, trepidation and personal cost when we do so,” Leong wrote.

“As this situation is still unfolding, this is as far as I’ll speak on the subject.”

According to reports from Radio NZ, Vaughan was distanced from the restaurant last year to allow for a formal inquiry into his behaviour towards female colleagues. The situation culminated in his departure, a move later clarified by the Amisfield owner, John Darby.

“Following more recent complaints regarding Vaughan’s conduct, he was immediately removed from the workplace while an independent investigation was conducted,” he said in a statement. “Following the conclusion of that investigation, Amisfield accepted Vaughan’s resignation in February, ending our professional relationship with him.”

The New Zealand Herald published several allegations concerning Vaughan’s workplace conduct. In a statement, Vaughan told the newspaper that he “unreservedly apologise[s] to my former staff and colleagues at work for my inappropriate behaviour to them or any inconsiderate comments made”.

“I love and respect all my team at the restaurant and meant no malice or harm with my actions. So, I’m stepping down to first focus on addressing my personal health issues, and being a present and loving father to my family,” he said.

In New Zealand, TVNZ removed the show, Taste of Art, from its streaming platform in May, 2026.

What was Taste of Art going to be about?

The cancellation is a disappointing blow for the production, which promised a unique twist on the culinary competition genre. Taste of Art was designed as a seven-part series featuring ten talented chefs competing in pairs. The hook of the show was contestants crafting “edible works of art” — dishes that were as visually stunning as they were delicious.

The show was filmed entirely in Queenstown, New Zealand, specifically at the Remarkables Studios in Frankton. This was a huge production for the region, as it marked the first major studio-based reality show to be shot in Queenstown.

Melissa Leong and Vaughan Mabee were set to lead the series as the show’s primary judges.

Has I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here Australia been axed?

Reports are rife that popular reality show I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! has been axed by Channel 10, with the production company looking for a new home to air the next season on in Australia. However, the network has told Chattr that no decision has been made about the show’s future just yet — and it hasn’t been officially axed.

“Decisions regarding the 2027 program schedule, including I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! will be made in the coming weeks,” a network spokesperson said.

But, TV BlackBox has reported that Paramount haven’t signed on for the 2027 season, and ITV, the production company behind the series, is hoping to be picked up by another network in Australia.

It claimed that the series — which is fronted by Julia Morris and Robert Irwin and filmed in South Africa — is expensive, and said the network was looking at ways to reduce the cost of I’m a Celebrity prior to making the decision.

Channel 7 and Channel 9 are reportedly eyeing up Robert Irwin for hosting roles

Robert Irwin’s star power grew significantly when he landed the coveted role of co-host of I’m a Celebrity Australia alongside Julia Morris. Since then, he’s gone on to win Dancing With The Stars US, and be announced as the new host of a spin-off of the popular American show, called Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro.

However, if I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Australia ends up being axed for good, and Robert still wants to work in Australian TV, it doesn’t look like he’ll be short of options.

On May 12, Sky News reported that both Channel 9 and Channel 7 were eyeing him up for hosting roles off the back of the news of I’m a Celebrity‘s uncertain future.

“Robert appeals to multiple demographics and has become incredibly valuable commercially,” one insider claimed about Robert joining Channel 7.

“He’s someone networks believe could front several major formats over the next decade.”

MAFS’ Bec has been papped with a new man, Marcus Rich

Bec Zacharia from this year’s season of Married At First Sight (MAFS) looks to have swapped one heavily tattooed British man for another.

The MAFS alumnus papped having lunch with Marcus Rich, a 30-year-old English ex-soldier who now works as a “luxury escort” in Sydney. Marcus also starred on Flex, a micro-reality show launched by 9Now earlier this year.

The series, which screens in quick bursts designed to be watched on your phone, follows a group of Bondi residents as they navigate their quarter-life crises in one of Sydney’s most affluent suburbs and all the pressure and Athleisure wear that entails.

Marcus reposted Bec’s photo that captured what the pair had for lunch during their date, with Bec also re-posting papparazzi photos of the two snapped by The Daily Mail. So, they aren’t exactly keeping their cards close to their chest!

Marcus re-posts Bec’s story to Instagram. Image: Instagram

Of course, fans are speculating that the whole thing’s a publicity stunt, which does seem likely. “I heard that the rumour was not true,” reckons one fan on Reddit. “Bec and Marcus are not dating,” they continued, adding that the whole thing stinks of a “publicity stunt.”

Another Redditor agreed. “More likely for PR and promo,” they said. “Almost certainly.”

And while Chattr reached out to Bec to comment on what was going on with her and this inked gentleman, the MAFS alumnus didn’t wish to comment. Hmm, we are intrigued.

Bec and Marcus hit back at vicious comments online

Bec and Marcus’ rumoured relationship has copped plenty of heat online, with some labelling it as “embarrassing” and questioning whether Bec had to pay Marcus for his time.

In one heated reply, Marcus seemed frustrated. “You know nothing about me? You verbally attack me, I defend myself, and I’m the bad guy? Having the mentality to spread toxicity online doesn’t make you cooked? I went for breakfast and that gives you the right to be toxic? Seems I’m too calling a spade a spade huh,” he wrote.

Bec confirmed she didn’t pay Marcus, and replied to another troll. “What’s embarrassing about being friends with a beautiful human? I’m so sorry. What’s embarrassing is you sitting behind a keyboard being a loser. Have a great weekend darling,” Bec wrote.

MAFS’ Danny’s fall from grace

Whether rumours of Bec’s relationship with Marcus are true, it’s safe to say she’s moved on from her MAFS husband Danny Hewitt, who finished up his time on MAFS on a pretty bad note.

The 34-year-old was shown boasting about being able to find a “better bird in Coles” in footage released by Stan’s MAFS Australia: After The Dinner Party, and also shouting the words, “bring me better women!” He was also shown calling former intruder bride, Stephanie Marshall, a “little skank.”

The clips sparked major backlash against Danny, with his Instagram follower count dropping rapidly and comments sections flooded by angry fans. Three days after the clipped aired, Danny took to Instagram to apologise to the women his comments were aimed at.

“Most of you hate me, I don’t blame ya. I hate myself. So join the club. But I just wanted to jump on here and just apologise, obviously, for some of the comments I made — or all of the comments I made — on the Stan’s After the Dinner Party show. Horrendous. I’m so ashamed of myself,” he began.

“Obviously, I want to apologise to Steph for the way I spoke about her and Bec, of course, I’m so sorry to both of you girls.”

Danny added that he has a dry sense of humour, which can sometimes “come across wrong”.

“But I’m not here to make excuses or blame it on a sense of humour or anything like that. I’m here to own up to my mistakes and just apologise to anyone who watched it, any viewers who watched it and found it offensive, I’m so sorry.”

MAFS’ Bec’s rumoured escort boyfriend claps back at criticism online

After Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2026 bride Bec Zacharia debuted her rumoured boyfriend Marcus Rich in early May, fans of the show have been flooding posts with hundreds of comments. The main issue? Marcus Rich works as a “luxury escort” in Sydney, a profession that Bec is completely fine with, as per MAFS Funny.

However, after some MAFS fans made jibes about Bec needing to pay Marcus to hang out with her, or calling the whole situation “embarrassing”, the rumoured couple responded to some vicious comments.

“She didn’t [pay] actually,” Marcus wrote. “You guys are cooked. Go for a walk or something. Find something positive to do with your time.”

When another fan responded, saying Bec’s behaviour from MAFS was “cooked”, which Marcus didn’t take kindly to.

Meanwhile, Bec didn’t hold back either. After one fan called her actions “embarrassing”, she went all out.

“What’s embarrassing about being friends with a beautiful human? I’m so sorry. What’s embarrassing is you sitting behind a keyboard being a loser. Have a great weekend darling,” Bec wrote.

Bec opens up about her relationship with escort Marcus

This comes after Bec opened up about her potential relationship with Marcus on the MAFS Funny podcast.

“Him being a sex worker, for me, doesn’t… it’s not a factor for me because it’s a job. And I don’t look at the job, I look at the person,” she told the host.

“If I was to be in a relationship with an escort, Marcus or anyone else, in that mind, that relationship would be monogamous because I would compartmentalise the fact that there was the act of going to work and doing that for a job, and coming home and being in a monogamous relationship.”

We have more gossip about Bec and Marcus’ rumoured relationship here.

Publicist weighs in on why MAFS stars aren’t flocking to OnlyFans post-show

Fans were treated to the final episode of Married at First Sight (MAFS) 2026 in early April, and since then, not a single bride or groom from the season has launched an OnlyFans account. It’s a notable departure from previous years, when many contestants flocked to the subscription platform after their time on the show came to an end.

It’s no secret that OnlyFans can be incredibly lucrative when executed properly — well known examples including Olivia Frazer and Jessika Power — who’ve both previously revealed that they raked in hundreds of thousands of dollars each month at their prime.

So, what’s stopping the 2026 cast from jumping on OnlyFans and getting their bag? According to Leanne Baker, director and founder of Public Relations agency Sense Communications, there’s multiple reasons the contestants are shying away from joining the adult platform.

“There are many reality shows, but MAFS is one of the most popular in Australia, so the contestants have a real opportunity to capitalise on their TV appearance. And, in previous years, OnlyFans was one of the fastest ways to cash in on sudden fame,” Leanne told Chattr.

“But, there is now a shift away from MAFS contestants joining OnlyFans after the show for several reasons.”

Why MAFS fans aren’t flocking to start OnlyFans accounts

While OnlyFans was lucrative years ago, Leanne said that in recent times it’s become a lot harder to make a buck on the platform — which likely affects why the MAFS cast aren’t instantly launching accounts.

“The platform is now extremely saturated and anyone can join, making it harder to earn quick, medium-term money through it,” she said.

The publicity director also pointed out that launching an OnlyFans account and sharing explicit content can end up pigeonholing contestants, potentially limiting the kinds of partnerships and opportunities available to them in the future.

“There’s the reputational risk. A lot of the contestants are on the program from a strategic standpoint. They may have businesses they want to promote or start, be looking to get into presenting, or simply wanting to increase their profile to get lucrative brand deals.

“Going down the adult content to monetise fame route could jeopardise these. Companies care about a ‘safe’ public image and usually are not prepared to take risks with those who are essentially replaceable – reality ‘stars’ are always being created,” she explained.

“Contestants also understand the potential future ramifications of their decisions. Going on OnlyFans could risk future employment, and even impact their future family. “

Leanne added that audiences have become increasingly savvy and can quickly spot when influencers are being inauthentic or making overtly calculated moves purely for financial gain, and, more often than not, they don’t respond well to it.

“People are more savvy than ever on how to use their profile to make money. MAFS contestants and the public know that OnlyFans is an obvious money grab. The contestants can avoid adult content, and use their newly found fame to create a great living for themselves with the right strategy in place.”

Which MAFS stars have made OnlyFans accounts?

The trend of MAFS stars staying away from OnlyFans started recently, with none of the 2024 or 2025 cast joining the platform.

And, from the Season 10 cast, only Bronte Schofield and Caitlin McConville started an OnlyFans. But, the Season 9 cast — which aired in 2023 — certainly weren’t shy about joining the platform, with Olivia Frazer, Domenica Calarco, Kate Laidlaw, Mitch Eynaud and Daniel Holmes all among the names who signed up.

A similar surge in MAFS contestants joining OnlyFans occurred after Seasons 6 and 7, with Sarah Roza, Stacey Hampton, Hayley Vernon, Amanda Micallef, Mishel Karen, Jessika Power, Tamara Joy and Ines Basic all launching accounts on the platform.

Why MAFS’ Steph refuses to speak to Bec: ‘Disgusting messages’

Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2026 participant Stephanie Marshall is no longer on speaking terms with Bec Zacharia, and Chattr can exclusively reveal why. After the Reunion Dinner Party (you know, where Bec called out Steph for texting Danny Hewitt a bikini photo), Bec apparently sent the bride some awful messages.

“She sent me some pretty disgusting messages after that Reunion Dinner Party,” Steph spills. “I’ve got nothing against Bec. I always saw good in her, and I always stood by her.”

Steph notes she helped Bec get out of bed after she was brutally dumped by Danny at Final Vows. However, the bride still maintains she did nothing wrong by texting Danny in a friendly way, and isn’t at a place in her life where she will entertain drama.

“I don’t have time or space or energy for someone who speaks to me like that in my life, there’s no way that I’ll be associated with someone like that… not interested,” she adds.

Bec previously told Chattr that while Steph said she would never have “gone there” with Danny, Bec was “dubious” about why Steph messaged him once they were both single.

However, Steph clarifies that Danny isn’t her type, so there were no romantic intentions back then.

“I never had interest in Danny whatsoever. That whole situation was blown out of proportion. And I kind of realised as well, it wasn’t even anything to do with me, it was purely because Bec was so upset,” the bride says.

Steph concedes she would take the whole situation back after seeing how badly it hurt her friend. “[But] I did the right thing. I told her about it. I think if there was something for me to hide, I wouldn’t have even told her about it. But no, not attracted to Danny, all of those tattoos don’t do it for me. He’s not my type.”

MAFS’ Bec hits back at Steph’s claims with screenshots

Not long after Chattr shared Steph’s thoughts on where she stands with Bec now, Bec reached out to share her side of the story. Sharing screenshots of the “disgusting messages” in question, the bride appeared to call Steph a “deceitful liar” for reaching out to Danny. There’s also a heartfelt apology from Steph, and a final text from Bec asking for distance.

You can read the messages here.

MAFS’ Steph shares update on her new boyfriend Aaron

After her disaster with Tyson Gordon, Steph has since found love with her new boyfriend Aaron. The pair have been together for around six months, and she sounds smitten.

“Aaron and I met [when] he bought one of my properties that I was selling whilst I was on the show. So we met at the pre-settlement inspection at the end of October,” she says.

“[We’ve] just been dating ever since, and then kind of made things official [at the] start of January this year. But you know, [we’ve been] very much inseparable since the end of November last year.”

The couple actually watched MAFS together, and Aaron found it “hilarious”, especially when seeing who Steph was matched with.

“He actually [spent] a couple of years in the army. So you know, seeing who I was matched with, he’s seen thousands of those kinds of guys,” she says. “Obviously, I’d spoken to him all about it [beforehand] anyway.”

And while Steph felt stitched up by being matched with Tyson, she’s pleased with how everything turned out. After all, it led her to finding Aaron. “I’m a huge believer that everything happens for a reason,” she says. Not only did she find love, but she pushed herself into doing something outside of her comfort zone. That’s something worth celebrating.

MAFS’ Bec hits back at Steph’s ‘disgusting messages’ claim with screenshots

The plot thickens. Just hours after Chattr shared an interview with Married At First Sight (MAFS) participant Stephanie Marshall, Bec Zacharia has come forward to tell her side of the story. In case you missed it, Steph told us she no longer speaks to Bec after receiving some “disgusting messages” following MAFS.

Now, Bec has come forward with screenshots of the “disgusting messages”, where Chattr can exclusively reveal she called Steph a “deceitful liar”.

“What a deceitful liar you are. Wow. Don’t ever, ever, ever contact me again. I hope Daniel is worth it to you,” Bec’s first message said.

Steph’s reply was long, included an apology and reiterated she had no romantic feelings for Danny. “I don’t know what else I can do or to say to show you that I’m being honest and that I am truly sorry from the deepest part of my heart and soul,” Steph replied. “I’m sorry again and hope you’re feeling a bit better today (or as best you can).”

There was one other message from Bec to Steph, and it appears to be the end of their thread.

“Thanks for the message. I appreciate the apology. To be clear, the issue for me was the level of familiarity and the timing oft he messages given what I was dealing with. You and Daniel weren’t friends and it’s baffling to me you think it was in any way acceptable to create a friendship with my ex husband given the circumstances,” Bec wrote.

“I don’t wish you harm, but I’m choosing distance for now. I hope you respect that.”

In a comment to Chattr, Bec said: “At no point did I send Steph disgusting messages. Please read them. I wish her all the best.”

Where is Netflix’s Perfect Match filmed?

Perfect Match is back for Season 4, which means a bunch of the most mischievous and drama-loving reality stars around will be unleashed in a luxurious villa together to flirt, fight, and maybe even find love.

When Perfect Match started in 2023, it stuck to only casting people who’d already appeared in Netflix reality shows. However, it’s since branched out and includes reality stars from outside of the Netflix world, and this season our very own home grown Aussie Dave Hand will be entering the villa. He found fame after appearing on Married at First Sight (MAFS) Australia 2025.

Of course, if Netflix’s production team is locking a bunch of reality TV heartthrobs and heartbreakers in a villa together, it’s only fitting they do it somewhere seriously stunning. Read on for everything we know about where Perfect Match is filmed.

“The hottest singles in the world are headed right here to Mexico to find love and their perfect match,” the voice over says in the clip.

Where was Netflix’s Perfect Match Season 3 filmed?

Netflix’s Perfect Match Season 2 and Season 3 were also filmed in Mexico in the beautiful beachside town of Tulum. The five bedroom villa, named Casa Xolo is located in Tankah Bay area and boasts a 23-metre infinity pool and a private tennis court.

While the contestants stayed at Casa Xolo, some of the dates were filmed at Ajal Tulum, which is a treehouse boutique hotel located about thirty minutes away.

Politician accuses MAFS of casting ‘vulnerable young women’ and pushing them to the brink

Married at First Sight (MAFS) is once again copping Government scrutiny after MP Mark Latham raised concerns about the show in NSW Parliament last week.

Mark Latham was prompted to take the matter to Parliament after his friend Lachlan Rofe, a former MAFS contestant, tragically died by suicide last year. Lachlan was a contestant on an earlier season of the show back in 2015.

The MP says that MAFS producers intentionally choose vulnerable people to participate in the “experiment” and “feed them to the wolves”, according to Sky News Australia

MAFS is the most extreme of the reality TV shows that seek to break people down and gain ratings from sort of unhinged personalities,” he said, adding, “I think they’re cast that way.”

In a question filed to NSW Parliament, the politician also accused its producers of taking advantage of “fragile, vulnerable young women” and exposing them to an environment that turns them into “ranting, unhinged nutters”, all for the sake of drumming up ratings.

How did the Minister respond to the concerns about MAFS?

Sophie Cotsis MP, the NSW Minister for Workplace Health and Safety, says that the Safework NSW is continuing to look into “psychosocial concerns” at MAFS due to a complaint made about the show earlier in the year.

She added that the watchdog had responded to complaints also made about the psychological wellbeing of the show’s contestants in 2025, and that Safework issued three “improvement notices” to Channel Nine.

The Minister also added that SafeWork was told there is a dedicated MAFS psychologist on set that contestants were able to use.

So, it looks like while the MP’s admission didn’t trigger a brand new investigation, SafeWork Australia is still looking into concerns about the psychological wellbeing of the people who end up on the show.

MAFS’ Gia says support on the show was lacking

In an interview with the Saturday Telegraph, former MAFS bride Gia Fleur poked holes in the idea that the MAFS cast were given enough support. ‘The psychologists are employed by [production company] Endemol and the network so it’s kind of like they have their own agenda at the same time,’ she said.

She added that it was hard to fully open up to the psychologists for fear of retribution. “’Everything you say may then be relayed to the show and you don’t really want to say too much because then you look bad,’ she explained.

Other cast members have also spoken of very early call times and not being allowed to leave Dinner Parties until producers had enough chaotic content in the bag.

In any case, a spokesperson for Nine has said they take the health and wellbeing of the MAFS cast very seriously.

“All participants have access to the show psychologist and welfare resources during filming, during broadcast and once the program has ended,” the spokesperson said.

How to attend a MasterChef Service Challenge as a member of the public and try the dishes

Service Challenges usually pop up multiple times over a season of MasterChef Australia, and involve the remaining contestants cooking a for a big group of guests, for members of the general public. In the past they’ve taken place at Queen Victoria Market and HWKR Food Centre in Melbourne, and the home cooks have dished up street foods for queues of hungry patrons.

While the contestants must handle the mass production element of the task, as well as the time pressure and serve customers the dishes from their menus, the final result is ultimately determined by MasterChef Australia judges Poh Ling Yeow, Andy Allen, Sofia Levin and Jean-Christophe Novelli who decide the best and worst dishes.

So, how does it all work? And how can keen fans throw their names in the hat to score a spot at one of these public Service Challenges? Read on to find out.

The Service Challenge events are often posted to social media — but there’s a catch

Back in 2024, some lucky Service Challenge attendees took to Reddit to share their experience with attending the filming event, revealing that an ad had been placed on social media. However, MasterChef Australia is pre-filmed, so these notices are actually published during the off-season, not while the show is airing.

“I went to the barbecue service challenge at the beginning of S12 [in 2020]. They posted on the social media that morning advertising it. I got to try all the teams dishes, the food was delicious (and free),” one person wrote.

The ad for the 2024 Service Challenge. Image: Facebook.
The ad for the 2024 Service Challenge. Image: Facebook.

Another person said that they attended the 2024 Service Challenge where the contestants were tasked with creating a street food dish that focussed on a specific ingredient that the judges picked. However, the food offering wasn’t as generous as the 2020 event.

“We really could only choose one stall to try (maybe some were lucky to try more than one) given that there were so many people. Tried the Pink team (with the pork and mushroom skewers). They were both nice but there were no carbs at all, so still felt really hungry. Not really worth it for $10 and $7 respectively (especially comparing to the other teams),” they said.

The episode featured Jamie Oliver as a guest judge.

“Jamie and JC [Jean-Christophe Novelli] were waving to the crowds a fair bit (as if JC isn’t likeable enough already lol) while the other judges were focussing with the competition,” the same TV extra said.

Do you have to sign an NDA if you take part in a service challenge?

According to the patrons that attended the Queen Victoria event and the Barbecue Service Challenge on St Kilda beach, they only had to sign an NDA if they were interviewed by a producer for the episode.

“Didn’t have to sign anything to enter, I did after I got interviewed there but they didn’t show any interviews of the public,” The person from the St Kilda event wrote.

“Been to the latest Service Challenge at Queen Vic Market, didn’t need to sign an NDA or anything like that. They didn’t mind us taking photos or videos either. Soooo many cameras and BTS crew,” the other chimed in.

Is every MasterChef Service Challenge advertised on social media for the public to attend?

No, it doesn’t appear so. While some of the bigger challenges in public spaces welcome fans, sometimes Service Challenges are set in more intimate, private places.

One Reddit user claimed that the taste testers at events held in the MasterChef kitchen — such as the Service Challenges that typically appear around the semi-finals — are often friends or acquaintances of people who work on the show.

“The ones in the MasterChef kitchen are crew family and friends. The huge crowd ones are normally popped up on socials just prior, and are low risk for leaks as they do they quite early on.”

MasterChef Australia airs Sunday 7pm and Monday — Wednesday at 7.30pm on Channel 10 and 10Play.

Danny and Adrian are hosting a dating event and plan to get ‘more matches than MAFS’

Look out, MAFS experts! Married at First Sight (MAFS) alumni and self-proclaimed “super villains” Danny Hewitt and Adrian Araouzou are joining forces to hold a matchmaking event, with proceeds set to go to charity.

The pair announced the event yesterday via Instagram and TikTok. It kicks off with Adrian teasing, “what happens when you get two MAFS supervillains together?,” with Danny going on to quip, “women get gaslighted!” Hilarious. The jokester goes on to say he was only kidding, and that actually, “a f**kload of money gets raised for charity.”

Adrian then adds that he and Danny have decided to team up and “use [their] platform for a good cause,” with Danny adding the two are going to get 100 singles together and get “more matches than MAFS”.

The event will be held at Sauci Pasta Bar. the Italian restaurant Adrian owns with his twin brother, James, which is located in Carnegie VIC. Speaking to Chattr, Adrian says that he had met Danny before he went on the show. “I met Danny before the show and he’s genuinely a good guy regardless of the mistakes he made on TV,” Adrian says.

He adds that while many MAFS contestants get “good edits”, not many of them did anything good for the people around them. “Anyone can get the “good guy” edit or portray a perfect life online through highlight reels. But not many people actually use their platform to bring people together and do something positive in real life.”

At one point Adrian seemed to take a dig at MAFS, stating, “Trust us, we’re not here to create some drama-filled TV show. We can definitely do a better job than that!”

When is the singles event and what charity is being donated to?

Danny states in the video that the event will take place on June 7 in Melbourne, and 100 tickets will be available.

When we asked about what charities will be donated to, Adrian reckons the details are still being ironed out. “We’re still finalising the charity because we want to make sure it’s a genuine non-profit where the proceeds actually go to the cause – or at least 90%+ directly to it,” he says.

“Every dollar raised will be documented and shown publicly for full transparency where it’s going, who it’s going to, and proof of the donations.”

“At the end of the day, it’s just about creating a good night for people while hopefully making a positive impact too.”

Were Danny and Adrian really MAFS supervillains?

It depends on your take on their time on the show, but while both Danny and Adrian received some flack for story arcs, do we really think they’re supervillains?

Adrian definitely got some pushback for his reaction to his match, Awhina Rutene, having a child, but arguably he was also given a pretty good redemption arc. Paul was probably a more obvious super villain on last year’s season of show, given that a lot of people found his behaviour manipulative.

And despite Danny’s final appearances on MAFS leaving a bad taste in the mouth, with the ex-groom talking about being able to find a “better bird” than Bec “in Coles”, calling Stephanie a “little skank” and yelling “bring me better women!” into a camera, the Real Estate agent also had his fair share of supporters, with female contestants like Brooke or Gia being more widely hated.

But anyway, it’s a good hook, and we’re all for an event that stands to benefit charities and helps single people get off the apps! It doesn’t look like tickets are on sale just yet, but we’ll reveal more details about the event as they are released.

Who left MasterChef Australia 2026?

MasterChef Australia 2026 is back on our screens for another year, and as new contestants battle it out for the ultimate cooking title, the heat in the kitchen is already warming up.

With a brand new season comes 24 of Australia’s most talented home cooks are being thrown into high-stakes challenges, including Pressure Tests, Mystery Box challenges, Service Challenges and, of course, those dreaded elimination challenges, all led by this year’s MasterChef Australia judging panel Andy Allen, Poh Ling Yeow, Sofia Levin, and Jean-Christophe Novello.

Of course, MasterChef has made global headlines with a very royal announcement: Meghan Markle is appearing as a guest judge. Not only will Meghan’s arrival keep these cooks under pressure, but Robert Irwin, Jimmy and Jane Barnes, Jimmy Wong and Maggie Beer are slated to throw some local star power into the mix.

While MasterChef is set to follow the format that audiences know and love, this season is all about the contestants’ personal journeys, as many of this year’s contestants draw from crossroads in their lives — whether that be career changes, family influences, migration and loss — as critical to their cooking identity.

As we know, there can be only one winner of MasterChef, which means two contestants will pip their fellow contestants at the post and face off at the grand finale. There, one of them will be crowned the winner of MasterChef and walk away with $250,000, the title, and more culinary opportunities than you can shake a stick at.

So, the countdown is on: let’s see who can handle the heat in the MasterChef kitchen as it’s turned up to fever pitch, and who is sent home packing. If the latest instalment is anything like previous seasons, there’s likely going to be some shocking and heartbreaking eliminations along the way.

Read on to find out who left MasterChef so far.

Who has been eliminated from the MasterChef kitchen so far?

Alita’s dumpling lasagna saw her sent home

The Black apron challenge on the May 11 episode saw Vinnie and Alita be picked for the bottom two.

“Each of you put something on the plate that had potential, but each of you had critical flaws. Unfortunately, there were too many in yours, Alita,” Poh told the two contestants.

Alita whipped up a dumpling lasagne with buratta. Andy said that while the dumplings were great, they were too hot when the burrata was placed on them, causing it to melt into the lasagna and turned the meat into a “wet meatloaf”.

Meanwhile, Vinnie opted for a pork and gochujang sandwich used pre-made break from the pantry, because the home made focaccia he was working on didn’t cook in time. Andy told him the store-bought bread was a let down, and Sofia said the end result looked like a “sloppy-joe”.

Ultimately, it was Alita’s dish that pleased the judges the least, and she was eliminated from the competition.

“I loved the opportunity to push myself, and to see how good of a cook I can be,” she said when asked her favourite thing about the competition.

Bella Di Conza sent home in shock elimination

The first MasterChef blindside came in the form of Bella Di Conza’s elimination; the 20-year-old recieved a lot of screentime in the first season and her cooking skills were repeatedly praised by the judges.

It all started to go wrong for Bella in the first team challenge, in which she was paired up with Hannah Johnson and Alyona Iljuhhina. The trio’s family feast landed them in the bottom two, meaning they’d compete individually against the three cooks from the other team with the least impressive dish.

In the elimination round, the six contestants were tasked with creating a dish close to their families’ hearts. Bella chose an Apple and Cinnamon Entremet, but the tight 75-minute time limit made it difficult for her to fully perfect the intricate dessert.

She landed in the bottom two aside Hannah, and Sofia delivered the sad news that Bella was eliminated.

“While we really admire your ambition, time got the better of you. There were flaws in most of you elements. I’m so sorry, but we had to say goodbye, Bella.”

Bella took to Instagram after the episode to aired to share that while she was sad about the outcome, she left with her head held high.

“Though every fibre in me aches with disappointment, I couldn’t be more proud of myself for putting up a fight today,” she began.

“Albeit short, my time in the competition has shaped me in many ways. Meeting so many likeminded people on this journey is undoubtedly the biggest win of all. This awesome group care so deeply about food, but moreover about each other. The support I felt from all of them made a world of difference.”

Belinda Gosden eliminated in Quick Carbs challenge

The third elimination challenge saw the judges create a form of “quick carbs” each — Poh made noodles, Andy made flat bread, Jean Christophe went with pilaf rice and Sofia opted for potato latkes. They asked the contestants to make to choose one of the sides, and make a main meal to accompany it. However, they were only given 36 minutes to complete the two dishes.

Alalou, Belinda and Vinnie were in the bottom three, and Andy said it come down to the quick carb they chose and how well it went with their dish.

“Unfortunately, that means you’re going home, Belinda,” he told the three contestants.

Belinda took the bad news within her stride.

“It’s been fantastic,” Belinda said of her time. “I’ve been watching MasterChef since series one, and now I’m on the show, so you know, dream accomplished. I’ve learned that I would like to now take my cooking to another level. I don’t think you’re ever too old to start again. I’ve had eight career paths, so let’s make number nine.”

Jeff Lam is the second contestant sent home

The second Elimination Challenge of the season saw Pat, Jackie, Jeff, Luke and Vinnie all tasked with cooking a pie using Maggie Beer’s pastry recipe in the MasterChef Australia kitchen, and the contestant behind the pie that impressed the judges the least would be sent home.

The stakes were risen by the fact that Maggie was on the judging panel, along with the regular crew; Andy, Poh, Sofia and Jean-Christophe.

While every dish had elements that the judges loved, despite his best efforts it was ultimately Jeff’s undercooked pastry that let him down and let to his elimination.

“There was one pie that really suffered, the pastry was undercooked, and the filling lacked balance, which means your time in the MasterChef kitchen has come to an end, Jeff,” Poh told the group.

Jean-Christophe then created Jeff’s iconic new nickname MasterJeff before the group chanted it at him for his exit.

Jeff took the bad news well, saying in a post-elimination interview that he’s leaving the competition with his head held high.

“I came with a dream of the last 11 years to come to MasterChef, and I got that dream, I got the white apron, and nothing could take that away from me. I’m proud of what I achieved, a great experience overall,” he said.

Megs Steel sent packing in first elimination challenge

Megs Steel is a 40-year-old HR consultant from Queensland. Unfortunately, she became the first contestant to be eliminated during the first round of the competition.

For Megs, securing a white apron on MasterChef was the realisation of a long-held dream. With a deep passion for catering, she had always had a dream to open her own restaurant called Megs Place.

Unfortunately, Megs Steel’s journey in the competition was cut short, making her the first contestant to be eliminated this season. During a challenge that asked the contestants to create a dish to represent them as home cooks, Megs served undercooked prawns, which the judges thought was clearly unsatisfactory and she was swiftly sent packing.

“I’m absolutely gutted, but I’ve taken so much, I’ve learned from everyone here, so I just really wanted to thank you all, it was everything I hoped and a million times more,” Megs said upon her elimination.

While the MasterChef judges were clearly disappointed to see her depart, Poh Ling Yeow noted that they looked forward to seeing her restaurant dreams come to fruition.

Reflecting on her exit in a confessional, Megs admitted, “I’m definitely heartbroken that I didn’t get to stay longer,” adding that she was “sad” that she had not had the opportunity to fully showcase her skills.

“I’m extremely grateful. This is a place where dreams are made of, and I had that for a short time.”

MasterChef Australia airs Sunday 7pm and Monday and Tuesday at 7.30pm on Channel 10 and 10Play.

Meet MasterChef’s Dot McHugh, the graphic designer who’s getting married

Already pipped as an early favourite, Dot McHugh is one contestant to watch this season on MasterChef Australia.

This Kiwi-born 31-year-old foodie basically lives and breathes yummy flavours. For Dot, food isn’t just a casual hobby — it’s her whole personality. Whether she’s trekking across the city for a viral sandwich, nursing a sourdough starter while working from home, or throwing a feast for her favourite peeps, Dot always has something cooking.

MasterChef Australia 2026 contestant Dot McHugh.

Dot entered the MasterChef Australia competition with plans to get married just weeks after filming began, but she didn’t let the bride-to-be jitters get to her. Dot prioritised her food dream and successfully secured one of the coveted white aprons during the initial auditions to join the Top 24.

So far this current season in team challenges, Dot has been drawing from her childhood memories of her Poppa’s stone fruit business in New Zealand. She has leaned heavily into using seasonal produce to create Italy-inspired dishes with big, punchy flavours.

On a recent MasterChef episode, Dot disclosed that she was named the champion at New Zealand’s National Cherry Stone Spitting Competition after she managed to spit her cherry pit a massive 8.2 metres. Goals tbh.

Dot’s love for the kitchen is in her DNA. She learned the ropes from her mum, Michelle, and spent her childhood perched on the kitchen counter acting as a mini sous chef. There were no “kid meals” in her house — she ate whatever the adults were having.

Her grandparents, back in New Zealand, played a huge part in her success in the current reality TV season. Her Poppa was in the fruit business and taught her the magic of seasonal veggies and gardening. To this day, nothing beats the memory of eating sun-warmed tomatoes straight off the vine.

This is everything we know about MasterChef Australia’s Dot McHugh.

What did Dot McHugh do as a job before MasterChef Australia?

When she’s not whisking something delicious up in the kitchen, Dot is a talented graphic designer with an impressive career spanning Sydney, NZ and London.

Bu these days, Dot is taking her freestyle cooking vibes to the MasterChef Australia kitchen. She’s a savoury-over-sweet person who loves making rustic, hearty dishes that let fresh ingredients do the talking. On the show, Dot is pumped to soak up every bit of knowledge she can from the reality show judges: Andy Allen, Sofia Levin, Poh Ling Yeow and Jean-Christophe Novelli.

Inspired by her food hero Nagi Maehashi’s (aka RecipeTin Eats) famous career pivot from corporate finance to Australia’s most beloved chef, Dot is ready to see if she can turn her creative eye from graphic design to the culinary world. Whether that means opening her own cafe or something even bigger, she’s finally ready to chase her food dreams for real.

How did MasterChef Australia’s Dot McHugh meet her soon-to-be wife, fiancée, and partner?

After seven years together, Dot’s partner Katie remains her #1 fan, and the two of them love doing life together and hosting big, lively dinner parties.

They met when Dot was working in London as a senior graphic designer. “From the moment we met, it felt as if I’d known her forever,” Dot told TV WEEK. “She makes me laugh, supports me in everything and makes it feel like anything is possible when we’re together.”

However, calling cities on the opposite ends of the world home has been difficult for the couple. “Katie’s British and we’ve been together for eight years,” Dot said.

“Being from opposite sides of the world, visas have always been a big part of our story. We’ve been in Sydney for the past couple of years and New Zealand before that, but being far away from Katie’s family can be tough. It’s something we’ve had to navigate together.”

The engaged couple hope to start a family together soon. “We’d love to start a family,” Dot said. “Katie would be the most incredible mum. There are a few things we need to figure out first, so it’ll be a journey for us, but it’s something we’re so excited about for the future.”

MasterChef Australia airs Sunday 7pm and Monday and Tuesday at 7.30pm on Channel 10 and 10Play.

Meet MasterChef’s Jack Hosking, who’s friends with former contestants and tipped to go far

While Jack Hosking hasn’t really dominated the spotlight on MasterChef Australia 2026 just yet, he’s been quietly winning over the judges with consistently impressive dishes.

And, for good reason — as a massive MasterChef Australia fan, Jack has been honing in his cooking skills from an early age, and recreated the show’s infamous snow egg at home at the young age of 11. Jack’s always been passionate about cooking, and, according to his bio, food is what get’s him out of bed in the morning, and he’s often thinking about his next meal before he’s finished the current one.

The cook from South Australia hopes that by being on MasterChef Australia, he can inspire more young guys to get out there, pick up some kitchen utensils and cook some good food.

Here’s everything we know about MasterChef’s Jack Hosking.

Jack’s from South Australia and his nan inspired him to go on MasterChef

Jack credits his love of cooking to his Nan Shelly who taught him how to cook. She recently faced a tough battle with cancer and is in remission, and Jack said it was heart breaking to watch her health decline.

“It was a really hard experience to go through,” Jack told Now to Love. “Our family is very close, so it had a huge impact on all of us. It was a really tough time. Although, throughout her time being sick she was the most incredible and positive human you could possibly imagine.”

“The joy Nan felt when she heard I’d won an apron brought tears to my eyes. I feel her energy whenever I step into the MasterChef kitchen.”

Jack also lists his professional cooking inspiratiosn as Hugh Allen and Peter Gilmore.

Is MasterChef Australia’s Jack Hosking single?

It’s bad news for those single ladies who’ve been eying Jack up in the MasterChef kitchen, as he is very much a taken man.

Jack’s been in a relationship with Olivia for over two years. He told Now To Love that he struggled with missing his partner liv while filming MasterChef Australia — which suggests he may not have been an early boot!

“I won’t sugar-coat it – long distance has been incredibly hard,” Jack says. “Liv and I usually see each other every day, so it was a huge change for both of us,” he said.

“Between the pressure of the kitchen and the long shoot days, I wasn’t able to be there for her as much as I usually am, which was really hard. But she was still so supportive and kind throughout the whole process. She is my whole world.”

Jack’s connection to past contestants and signs he’ll go far in the competition

Jack’s Channel 10 bio reveals that he has a connection to MasterChef Australia 2025 runner up Callum Han, and he explained in a recent episode that he attended Callum’s cooking school Sprout.

Callum follows Jack on Instagram, and even commented on one of his first posts from the season. “Dish looks unreal, mate,” the MasterChef alum wrote.

In his MasterChef bio Jack credits Callum with making cooking cool, and revealed that he had the change to meet the MasterChef alum and it was Callum’s encouragement that made him decide to audition for the show.

On top of that, 2024 and 2025 competitor turn MasterChef Sri Lanka judge Sav Perera, 2009 and 2025 contestant Andre Ursini and fan -favourite Declan Cleary all followed Jack before the season kicked off — which could suggest they had some intel that he goes far.

Plus, Sarah Todd is set to appear as a guest judge later in the season, and judge Poh Ling Yeow previously confirmed that her partner, Declan Cleary, was on set during filming. This could be when Jack and Declan first met, suggesting that Jack likely makes it far enough in the competition to avoid an early elimination.

Over on Reddit, viewers are speculating that Jack will make it to the pointy end of the competition, with one person calling him a “dark horse”.

“He got a tentative edit and is pretty pleasant to look at. I already had him top 10. I’ve got my winner picked though!” Someone else commented.

While we’d love to see Jack go far in the competition, only time will tell how long he lasts in the MasterChef kitchen.

MasterChef Australia airs Sunday 7pm and Monday and Tuesday at 7.30pm on Channel 10 and 10Play.

The reason you won’t see one farmer on this year’s Farmer Wants A Wife

After a few lonely weeks between reality dating shows, Farmer Wants A Wife (FWAW) will soon fill the MAFS-shaped hole left in our hearts since the show ended.

However, eagle-eyed FWAW fans have noticed something suss about the recent promos for the 2026 season. Despite six Farmers being teased in the original promos, one was conspicuously removed from the final line-up. Huh?

Wait, what happened to Farmer John? Here he is in the middle of the original Seven promo for the selected 2026 Farmers but now… he’s nowhere to be seen.

What happened to Farmer John from Farmer Wants A Wife Australia 2026?
Image: Seven.

In early promos, we found out Farmer John was a 37-year-old farmer from Mogumber in WA, which is about one and a half hours’ drive north of Perth, who was 6’2 (in case that matters!) and he was listed as one of six eligible Farmers in search of single ladies looking to find the one.

“Growing up on his parents’ cattle farm, John dreamed of owning his own farm one day. With that dream now a reality, John is looking for a loving partner to build a life and family with,” his bio reads.

What happened to Farmer John from Farmer Wants A Wife Australia 2026?
Image: Seven.

A motor enthusiast who loves cars and off-road bikes, John was looking for an adventurous lady with a solid sense of humour. “I am fun, outgoing, determined and love a good laugh,” he said. “I find a good sense of humour very attractive. I would love to find somebody that is adventurous and who would want to spend their free time travelling, adventuring and exploring with me.”

John was hoping to find someone with a similar perspective to him on life. “I like a partner who is driven and has a sense of independence but also allows me to become a part of their life, and wants to be a big part of mine,” he said.

“Family is hugely important to me so I would love my partner to be family-oriented as well.”

In this teaser posted six months ago by Seven, Farmer John is featured prominently.

So what happened? An insider told Woman’s Day that Farmer John’s removal could have come down to a variety of reasons.

“They don’t just cast people, they cast content,” the source said. “Producers are looking for Farmers who can carry a storyline and deliver moments across the entire season.”

The series intentionally casts more Farmers than they may end up needing. “There are a lot of moving parts,” the insider said. “People drop out, stories don’t land, or producers realise someone isn’t quite what they expected.”

Above all, the Farmer who proves to be the most popular will be prioritised. “Some Farmers will just pop and get inundated with applications. Even as casting executives, we are surprised by the attention some Farmers get over others,” they said, adding that John living in Western Australia could have worked against him.

“WA is expensive. Flights, logistics, moving contestants – it all adds up. If they’re going to film there, that Farmer needs to be a big draw,” the insider claimed.

Chattr has reached out to Seven for comment on Farmer John’s removal.

Have other Farmers on Farmer Wants A Wife had their love stories cut from the show?

For the 2025 season, Farmer Jack Rowlandson was completely scrubbed from the final broadcast. A cattle farmer and professional bull rider from Oberon, NSW, Jack was originally announced as one of the lead Farmers for the 2025 season.

He participated in the early promos and filmed his entire journey with his group of women. However, before the season premiered, Channel Seven and Eureka Productions made the executive decision to edit his storyline out entirely.

“Eureka and Seven have decided not to include Jack Rowlandson’s storyline in the new season of Farmer Wants A Wife. We will not be providing any further comment,” a Seven spokesperson said at the time.

Jack’s removal was reportedly due to a breach of production rules — more specifically, he was romantically involved with multiple women outside the show during filming. This obviously didn’t reflect the wholesome image the series is known for reflecting. Bye-bye, Jack!

FWAW will be airing on Channel Seven soon, but no exact premiere date has been revealed yet.

Watch Farmer Wants A Wife Season 16 on Channel 7 and 7Plus. Coming soon.

The reason MasterChef judge Sofia Levin previously rejected the chance to be a contestant

She’s the glamorous MasterChef Australia judge who quickly won over viewers, and Sofia Levin knows she has the gig of a lifetime.

Sofia once referred to being a MasterChef judge as “the ultimate gig in food in Australia — if not the world,” she told 10Play. But was Sofia almost on the other side of the MasterChef cloche? In fact, this food writer almost became a contestant. Wtf!

“Over the past 10 years, I’ve had producers slide into my DMs and ask me if I wanted to go on as a contestant,” Sofia told TV WEEK. “It’s just as well I said no, because who knows where that would have led me.”

However, Sofia had one big problem with the idea of being dropped into the hectic MasterChef kitchen: she couldn’t take the time pressure. “I do like cooking, but I don’t like cooking when there’s a giant clock hanging over me!” Relatable!

Thankfully for us, she joined the newly formed judging panel alongside Andy Allen, Poh Ling Yeow and Jean-Christophe Novelli in 2024. It was here that Sofia found a sense of belonging.

“In the third-place theory, there’s home, there’s work and then there’s meant to be a third place where you can go to collect yourself and feel comfortable,” Sofia said. “But, when you work in food, in restaurants and cafés and on MasterChef, your second and third places combine. I don’t need a third place – this is everything I need to fill my cup.”

Who is MasterChef judge Sofia Levin? Age, husband and cooking background

Sofia Levin is a prominent Australian food critic who joined the MasterChef Australia judging panel in 2024. Unlike her peers who come from professional kitchens, Sofia’s culinary background is rooted in journalism.

Over the past fifteen years, she has written for prestigious publications like Lonely Planet, National Geographic, and The Guardian. In 2020, she launched Seasoned Traveller, a platform dedicated to exploring cultural diversity through ‘eating curiously’.

Sofia’s career trajectory is particularly impressive given how early she started. Now 36 years old, Sofia began her professional journey at just 19, securing her first writing gig for the Good Food Guide before she had even graduated from university. No biggie!

Sofia keeps her personal life largely private. She was previously engaged to Melbourne restaurateur and Epic Pizza owner Matt John, but they have since parted ways. She has since started a romantic relationship with a school friend she crossed paths with in recent years.

“I reconnected with someone from school,” Sofia told TV Week. “We hadn’t really seen each other much for about 20 years. That was over a year ago now. We’re engaged, which is not a secret – it’s wonderful. He’s a beautiful person and an amazing support. He just totally gets me, which is so lovely.”

They have since gotten engaged, but don’t expect a MasterChef spin-off wedding any time soon.

“I will start looking into that when we’ve finished filming,” she told TV Week. “I don’t think it’ll happen anytime in the next 12 months. There’s just too much going on… it’s nice to be engaged!”

MasterChef Australia airs Sunday 7pm and Monday and Tuesday at 7.30pm on Channel 10 and 10Play.

Channel 10 shuts down rumours that Andy Allen is leaving MasterChef Australia

Andy Allen has been a pillar of MasterChef Australia ever since winning the competition in 2012, but rumours have recently begun circulating that he could be stepping away from his role as a judge.

An insider told Woman’s Day that the veteran judge “could soon hang up his apron for good.” They added that as the only original judge remaining from the 2020 judge revamp, Andy reportedly “found it hard to keep the kitchen fires burning,” since Melissa Leong left the series and Jock Zonfrillo passed away in 2023.

However, luckily for fans, Channel 10 have shutdown the claims that Andy is leaving, and confirmed that he’s staying put as a judge.

“We love our MasterChef judges and so do the audience. Andy is essential to the show and we cannot imagine MasterChef without him,” a spokesperson for the network told Chattr.

Reports claimed that Declan was in the running to replace Andy Allen as a judge

Declan quickly became a fan favourite in 2023 for his quirky personality and surviving 13 pressure tests before returning to the kitchen in 2025 for Back To Win. Away from the show, he made headlines for his relationship with fellow MasterChef alum Sarah Todd, with whom he welcomed twin girls in 2024.

With all this in mind, the publication said that he could be the sort of judge to breathe new life into the show.

Is Andy Allen leaving MasterChef Australia? What we know about replacement Declan Cleary.
Who me? Image: Ten.

“Nothing’s set in stone just yet – but Declan is made for TV, and the whispers are louder than a pressure test countdown,” an insider told Woman’s Day. “He’s got the cooking credentials, the personality, the backstory, and let’s be honest – the fan base. Declan’s just waiting for someone to hand him the tasting spoon and make it official.”

Declan’s partner Sarah Todd is set to appear as a guest judge on the 2026 season, so could this be laying the groundwork for Declan’s arrival? Apparently, Declan is ‘the perfect mix of talent and larrikin energy’ the show craves, Woman’s Day reports.

Andy Allen addresses being the ‘leader’ of MasterChef judges

In a new interview, Andy addressed working with Poh Ling Yeow, Sofia Levin and Jean-Christophe Novelli for their first season together. He told WHO that he didn’t think the judges ‘clicked’ when they first joined forces, as he felt he had to take on a ‘leader’ role between the four.

“When it was Poh, Jean Christophe and Sofia’s first year, I’d kind of been doing it for a while, so there was that natural kind of leadership role that I stepped into, but it’s been so lovely this year,” he said.

“Everything just feels like it’s clicked more than ever with the four of us and it feels like there’s no need for a leader anymore. Everyone’s found out their niche, found out what they’re good at and really honed in on that, which has been really lovely to witness.”

Why did Melissa Leong leave MasterChef Australia?

In late 2023, Network 10 announced a major shake-up to the MasterChef Australia judging panel, confirming that Melissa Leong would step away from the main series after four years. While her exit sparked confusion among fans – as she was a favourite – the official reason provided by the network and Leong herself focused on the expansion of the franchise and conflicting production schedules.

Leong transitioned from the flagship show to lead the spin-off series, Dessert Masters, alongside pastry chef Amaury Guichon. Network 10 explained that because the two shows air back-to-back, each required its own hosting team.

Why did Melissa Leong quit MasterChef Australia?

Addressing the speculation surrounding her departure, Leong took to Instagram to clarify her stance: “I get that there is going to be a bit of confusion and chaos about the ‘why’ of it all right now,” she said.

“This is a shift I embrace with joy. One that allows everyone involved to expand.” She described her time on the main show as a “great gift” but emphasised her desire to evolve. “The changing of the guard is one I always planned to embrace, and I’m so glad to do that, on my terms,” she said.

MasterChef Australia airs Sunday 7pm and Monday and Tuesday at 7.30pm on Channel 10 and 10Play.

The real reason Jean Christophe stayed on MasterChef despite joining The Heat

When Jean-Christophe Novelli was announced as the host of the new cooking series The Heat earlier this year, MasterChef Australia fans went into meltdown, fearing the beloved judge might not return for another season. But Jean-Christophe reassured Chattr there’s no need to worry, revealing he loves being part of MasterChef Australia and shared why he has no plans to step away from the kitchen anytime soon.

“You see, MasterChef Australia is not just a show, it is a kitchen of dreams. Of course, new opportunities come, they are exciting, but this… this is home for me. I come back for the people, for the transformation, for the moment someone realises their own potential. It is addictive, like chasing the perfect dish,” he explained.

The accomplished chef, who boasts four Michelin stars, added that despite his busy schedule, carving out time for MasterChef was important to him.

“Doing Masterchef Australia is like running a marathon with your family. It’s become a pilgrimage,” he said.

The Heat and all of my commitments, which I am super loyal to also, are equally as exciting but more like joining to run a sprint with new friends. There are 12 months in a year, there is room for everyone.”

Jean-Christophe Novelli says MasterChef Australia viewers should prepare for an emotional season

MasterChef viewers got one of their first emotional scenes this season, which saw judge Poh Ling Yeow in tears as Bella Di Conza was eliminated from the competition. And, Jean-Christophe teased that fans can expect plenty more moments that will tug at the heartstrings.

“I am still surprised that Kleenex isn’t a sponsor of the show! The decibel level is at its highest. At one point there was so much noise, I thought we would be kicked out from the studio by the neighbours!” He laughed.

“There is no other rollercoaster that carries suspense, joy, excitement, tears and laughter at the same time. It is very unusual to see so many people from different walks of life, driving themselves to the extremes in the same environment for that long. And all of this under the biggest kitchen clock that there is in the world! It is probably as big as the one on Big Ben!”

We’re so relieved Jean-Christophe is staying put on MasterChef Australia!

MasterChef Australia airs Sunday 7pm and Monday and Tuesday at 7.30pm on Channel 10 and 10Play.

Fans brutally call My Reno Rules a ‘Temu’ version of The Block

My Reno Rules has arrived to scratch The Block-sized itch we have in our TV schedules right now.

The new reality renovation series is hosted by Dr. Chris Brown and heavily backed by billionaire investor and avid The Block buyer, Adrian Portelli. The show began with Portelli purchasing two rundown properties in Bulleen, Victoria, for $2.7 million to serve as the homes ready to be transformed for the competition.

This season, four teams of everyday Australians, all heavily impacted by the current cost-of-living crisis, compete in pairs to renovate the homes. The winner will be determined by a fancy judging panel featuring design experts Neale Whitaker, Simon Cohen and Julia Green.

The show originally announced a $100,000 grand prize for the highest-scoring team. However, after the first week of renovations, Adrian Portelli admitted he was “embarrassed offering that” and eventually bumped it to a cool $1 million in cash for the winner and $250,000 for the runner-up. No biggie!

But considering My Reno Rules is a home renovation show with Adrian Portelli front and centre, many TV fans have said it reminds them a little too much of The Block.

But there is one key difference between the show: unlike The Block, there is no final auction on My Reno Rules; instead, the two multi-million-dollar finished homes will be given away to lucky viewers at home.

Some fans are preferring the new show to The Block, which had faced increased criticism over the years for prioritising petty drama for actual renovation.

“With The Block getting further and further away from its roots, I bet most people are watching it just to see people actually renovating again,” wrote one critic on Reddit. “The Block has become more about decorating than building anything. Like watching a hour long commercial.”

So far in the 2026 season, the competition has served up plenty of drama. Teams have clashed over tight budgets and working in tight spaces. Production was thrown into chaos when a major asbestos scare forced an emergency evacuation and temporarily halted building, pushing the contestants to scramble to meet deadlines.

But what fans are probable wondering is: why did Adrian Portelli jump ship?

Why did Adrian Portelli leave The Block for My Reno Rules?

Billionaire businessman Adrian Portelli left Channel 9’s The Block after the 2024 season to pursue his own television project, Channel 7’s My Reno Rules.

Having spent over $27 million buying eight properties on The Block, including sweeping all five homes in 2024, Portelli decided he had achieved his ultimate goal on the show.

Why did Adrian Portelli leave The Block for My Reno Rules?
Image: Seven.

Add to that, The Block producers and host Scott Cam reportedly requested that he take a break to allow regular people a fair chance at buying the homes, rather than having one billionaire dominate the auctions.

The feeling was mutual, as Adrian slammed the series in 2025. “They’re completely out of touch and unrealistic,” Portelli told news.com.au about The Block’s disastrous auction result.

Portelli pivoted to Channel 7 to back My Reno Rules, a show where he acts as the show’s principal sponsor. Instead of auctioning the houses off to pocket the profits, Portelli’s business model involves giving the multi-million-dollar homes away to viewers.

Taking a clear swipe at his former network, he posted on Instagram in 2025: “Bet my high school teachers never thought I’d have my own TV show on Channel 7,” he said.

“The reno games looking a little dusty. Time for a fresh coat. The gloves are off.” They sure are!

My Reno Rules airs on Seven and 7plus.
