Gold Logie-winning actress Asher Keddie shows off her acting chops yet again in Fake, an all-new original Paramount+ series that’s bound to have you hooked.

Said to “go deep into the psychology of a victim of a love scam”, the gripping eight-episode drama explores romance in “a world of liars, cheats, fantasists and phonies”.

Original synopsis

Inspired by Stephanie Wood’s powerful memoir Fake, this original Paramount+ drama follows Birdie Bell, a magazine features writer who thinks she’s found her perfect match when she meets successful grazier, Joe Burt, on a dating app.

But as the relationship intensifies, Birdie is torn between Joe’s magnetic pull and the instinct that her boyfriend isn’t all he has led her to believe.

Who is in the cast?

Asher Keddie — who is also a co-producer on the series — stars as Birdie Bell. David Wenham joins her as the elusive Joe Burt.

Nicholas Brown, Heather Mitchell, Louisa Mignone and Anne Charleston are also billed as cast members on IMDb.
