Love is in the country air, and Farmer Wants a Wife (FWAW) is back for 2026 with a new batch of Farmers hoping to find their happily ever after.
This year, five Farmers have been selected for the show, and casting has handpicked a group of Ladies specifically suited to each of them. Will it result in everlasting love matches? Well, the odds are pretty good.
FWAW has by far the best odds of creating a lasting match out of any Australian dating reality show. Over 15 seasons of the show, 22 couples are still together, and 11 of those couples have gotten married. There’s also some FWAW offspring, with 27 babies created from couples who’ve met on the show.
With the majority of last season’s couples still together, there’s a good chance that the upcoming season might produce some more successful matches. Read on to find out everything we know so far about Farmer Wants a Wife.
Meet the hottest Farmers FWAW has ever seen
This year, there are five Farmers who’ll be searching for love on FWAW. Read on to find out more about them.
Farmer Dylan

If any of the Ladies are looking for a cowboy, then South Australia farmer Dylan may just be their pick of the litter. The 24-year-old sheep farmer and competitive cowboy is from Cherry Gardens, South Australia, and actively competes in rodeos.
In Dylan’s promo clip, he revealed that he’s looking for a woman who is confident and outgoing.
“I love being social, whether it is rodeos, events, or just getting out and meeting new people. So, it would be ideal to be with someone who could hold their own when we are out and about.
“I am also drawn to someone who is assertive, the kind of woman who knows what she wants and is not afraid to take the bull by the horns. Especially if you aren’t afraid to get your hands dirty on the farm.
Farmer Jason

Queensland Farmer Jason is a dairy farmer and a father of two: a son who is 11 years old and a 5-year-old daughter.
According to his promo clip, he’s hoping to find someone open to moving to his farm, and who’s fun, bubbly, kind-hearted and has a good sense of humour.
Farmer Alex

Cattle and mushroom Farmer Alex is 28 and from KinKin in Queensland, who describes himself as grounded, curious, and an adventurer.
“I can be quite serious sometimes, so I am looking for someone with vibrance and light. I really would like a partner who will bring joy and bundles of playful energy to my life,” he revealed.
Farmer Jarrad

South Australia Farmer Jarrad is hoping to find a partner who’s genuine, grounded and confident. Like Farmer Jason, he’s also a day; he has two sons aged 12 and 9 years old.
“I’d love to meet someone who’s confident and comfortable in themselves. In the past, I’ve been drawn to strong, self-assured women. But strength to me also means being able to compromise on the little things, staying open to new perspectives, and being willing to grow together,” he said.
Farmer Zac

South Australia Farmer Zac is 24 and from Forest Range, which is only about 40 minutes from Adelaide CBD . He’s hoping to find a romantic partner who is laid-back, outgoing, confident and a great communicator.
“So, a lady with a great sense of humour and a laid-back attitude is what I need,” he said. “It would be amazing if she is sporty and active too, because I’m often at a sports event or the gym or out running with mates. She’s got to be able to talk with everyone and enjoy socialising because it’s a big part of my life.”
Who is Farmer John?

Six men were originally promoted as the suitors for FWAW 2026, and Farmer John was pictured in promo shots with the above five Farmers.
However, it doesn’t sound like anything scandalous went down that meant cutting Farmer John from the show. Instead, a batch of farmers is advertised well before filming begins, and interested women can apply for the Farmer that piques their interest. If there aren’t enough compatible matches, a Farmer probably won’t make it on the show, which is likely what happened with Farmer John.
Are these the hottest farmers we’ve ever seen on FWAW? We think so!
Who are the Farmer Wants a Wife 2026 Ladies?
While the 2026 Farmers have already been revealed (more on them below), the Ladies who’ll be heading off to the farms and heading out on dates with the men are still under wraps. So far, no information has been revealed about any of them. But, we’re sure an announcement isn’t too far off!
Who is the FWAW 2026 host?
Fan favourite Natalie Gruzlewski is returning for 2026. She originally hosted the show from its inception in 2007 until 2012, and then began hosting again in 2020.
In 2023 and 2024, Nat shared the role with Sam Armytage, and both women were co-hosts. However, she returned to her solo hosting duties as of last year and will continue to do so for FWAW 2026.

What is the premiere date for the new season?
There isn’t a premiere date for FWAW 2026 just yet, and it seems like it’s airing later in the year than previous years. In 2024, the season kicked off before Easter on April 14, and in 2025, it aired on Easter Monday.
At the time of writing, Channel 7 has simply announced that the 2026 season is “coming soon”, so stay tuned for a premiere date!
