Farmer Wants a Wife 2026 star Ally Horsburgh has opened up about her breakup from Farmer Dylan, revealing she initially felt “left in the dust” following the end of their relationship.
Ally and Dylan’s romance was one of the major storylines of the 2026 season, but the relationship ultimately came to an end after filming.
Now, several months on from their split, Ally has reflected on the emotional aftermath and revealed how she’s managed to rebuild her life.

Speaking exclusively to Chattr, Ally admitted that she wasn’t sure what her life would look like after her relationship with Dylan ended.
“I do feel like post-breakup with Dylan, I did feel a little bit left in the dust,” she said.
“I guess in a way, I wasn’t sure what my life was going to look like on the other side of heartbreak.”
Rather than dwelling on what had happened, Ally said she decided to focus on herself and trust that things would eventually work out.
“I feel like the universe has a funny way of showing you that you are exactly where you’re meant to be, and that you’re on the correct path,” she said.
“Through all the emotions this year, I was like, you know what? I’m just gonna keep my head above the water. I’ll just be myself, stay in my own lane, and make sure to stay kind.
“Good things will come your way.”
According to Ally, that mindset ultimately opened the door to a number of unexpected opportunities.
She said she’s met new people, had new experiences and found herself in situations she never expected to be in following the breakup.
“And I feel like through that, I’ve managed to have all these new opportunities arise, and I’ve got to meet new people and have new experiences,” she said.
Her starring role in Farmer Jarrad’s new music video is one example of those unexpected opportunities.
“I feel like the music video is actually a perfect example of that,” Ally said.
The experience has helped Ally realise that life doesn’t always follow the path you initially imagined.
“It hasn’t quite turned out how I thought it would, obviously,” she admitted.
“But I feel like I’ve learnt this year that you need to adjust to things when they don’t necessarily pan out the way you thought they would, and good things will come your way.”
How Ally is feeling since Farmer Wants A Wife ended
Despite the emotional challenges of the year, Ally said she’s now feeling much more positive about what lies ahead.
“I’m just really excited to see what’s ahead for me,” she told Chattr.
“I’m feeling a lot better, and I feel like I’ve come out much stronger.”
Ally has also returned home and is enjoying a quieter life surrounded by family and friends.
“I’m enjoying being back home and living a very peaceful life with my granny and my friends,” she said.
For now, she’s not putting pressure on herself to work out exactly what’s next.
“I think just taking it one thing at a time,” she said. “I’m excited for what the future holds because I don’t know.”
Has Dylan spoken to Ally about Jarrad’s music video?
Given the close connection between Dylan, Jarrad and Ally, there was one obvious question left to ask: has Dylan had anything to say about Ally starring in Jarrad’s romantic-looking music video?
The answer was simple.
“No,” Ally said when asked whether Dylan had commented on the video.
She confirmed she hadn’t heard from him about it.
Ally has no regrets about Farmer Wants A Wife
Despite her relationship with Dylan ultimately ending, Ally said she has nothing but gratitude for her Farmer Wants A Wife experience.
“I loved my experience,” she said.
“I had the best time. I’d highly recommend it to anyone.”
Ally said that while the relationship didn’t work out, she still looks back fondly on both the romance and her time on the show.
“Even though my relationship with Dylan didn’t work out, I still look back on the relationship with Dylan and also my experience on the show, and I just feel like I had the best time,” she said.
“I met so many amazing people, and I’ve got lifelong friendships now.”
The reality TV experience has also given Ally memories she’ll carry with her for the rest of her life.
“It’s something I can say to my children, my grandchildren. One day, your mum did this crazy thing that not many people can say that they’ve done,” she said.
“So I think I’ve just come out of it feeling really, really grateful that I got the opportunity to be a part of it.”
And while her romance with Dylan may not have had the ending she hoped for, Ally now seems ready to embrace whatever comes next.
