It’s episode 48 of The Block 2023 and Leah is fuming about the lack of support she and Ash have received over the passing of their family dog Ollie.
In the episode, she shared her shock that she hadn’t heard from Lesley and Kyle or Brett and Kristy about the devastating accident.
“Steph and Gian spoke to us last night, they were just walking past so we spoke to them and the girls [Eliza and Liberty] sent a text, but that’s it,” Leah told a producer.
Shortly after, Brett and Kristy stopped to see Ash and expressed their condolences over Ollie.
Later in the episode, Steph popped around to check on Leah who said that she was angry that Brett and Kristy didn’t directly express their sympathies to her, despite consoling her partner Ash.
“They are poison, they are true, true poison,” she told Steph.
“I’m beyond pissed off, this is irreparable. the lack of empathy is sociopathic.”
Leah was also frustrated with Lesley and Kyle’s lack of contact over Ollie’s passing. While Lesley explained that she did text the following day, Leah didn’t think it was good enough.
The finish line approaches
Meanwhile, it’s just three days until the front garden and facade are revealed. After Eliza and Liberty’s fustercluck of problems this week, they finally got their deck signed off at 2:30 p.m. on Friday afternoon by Foreman Dan.
All of the contestant’s yards are starting to take straight, and it looks like it’s going to be a tight race to the finish line.
The old owner of house two came to The Block
Barb, the original owner of house two, came around to check out the progress on Leah and Ash’s house.
Barb’s parents built the house in the 1940s and she and Leah bonded over the fact that the Silver Birch tree remains, and more were being added.
