Dave reveals what really happened with Sophie after Perfect Match win: ‘That’s the reality of it’

After a nail-biting finale — and an unseen tieDave Hand and Sophie Willett were crowned the winners of Perfect Match Season 4 by their fellow castmates, but did their romance survive once filming wrapped?

Unfortunately not. Dave has revealed that when he and Sophie left the Perfect Match villa they attempted to make things work, but ultimately the distance was too much of an obstacle, and they decided to be just mates. He explained that immediately after filming of the finale, the whole cast headed back to a different accommodation in Tulum for the night.

“It was like a really long night, and everyone was staying in like a like a little resort thing, so.. we just had a bit of a party, and everyone had their own room. [Sophie and I] went back to the room and had a laugh and filmed a couple TikToks talking about how we won, but we were exhausted and went to sleep,” he told Chattr.

“We had a day or so in Mexico and we went out for dinner, went down the beach, had a few beers, had a talk, and then we went our separate ways — she was going to Paris to celebrate her 30th birthday, and I just went to LA, and then I went back to Melbourne.”

Dave revealed that when he and Sophie spent the day together in Mexico after filming they didn’t make things exclusive.

“We never put a label on it. It’s a hard thing, because it’s like I’ve literally known this person for seven days. That’s the reality of it. I only knew Soph for seven or eight days, and then we won a show and parted ways,” he explained.

Dave raved about Sophie as a person, saying that they’re still “really close” but said the time they spent apart immediately after filming caused their spark to fade.

“We tried, the communication was good [immediately after], and then it’s sort of fizzled out, and so did the hype of the show. You go back to your lives, and there’s the time difference, and you do try and stay connected. But, she had stuff going on, I had stuff going on, and it was just hard to keep that communication, or the buzz alive after meeting someone for eight days. It was, it would have been great to go on the holiday straight away.”

“Life just happens,” he added. “Me and her are close, we talk and everything’s good, but it was just a sort of thing, there’s a whole bloody ocean in between us.

What happened between Perfect Match’s Dave and Sophie on their prize holiday to the Maldives?

The prize on Perfect Match is a holiday for the winning couple to a destination of their choice anywhere in the world. And, despite their dying spark, the pair jetted off to one of the world’s most romantic destinations, the Maldives.

“It was a great holiday. We went to the Maldives, we went over New Years. It was unbelievable, I think it would have cost a lot of money. I think they said they had a budget of $15,000 or something, but it was well, well, well beyond that.”

Dave revealed that shortly after they arrived they had a conversation about where they stood, before anything got weird on the trip.

“When we got to the holiday — like we never really discussed anything beforehand — we sort of went on it,” he revealed. “We ended up obviously catching a flight together to the Maldives on a Seaplane, and we sort of sat down the first day, and I just voiced how I felt. I’m like, ‘Look, I don’t want to lead you on — not lead you on, but like, be intimate this trip, and then we’re just going to separate, and go our separate ways again after it. I feel like that we’re in a good position, I respect you as a, as a friend and I’d love to keep that relationship as a friend and enjoy this trip together as friends.

“And she said, ‘I agree’, she goes, ‘I wasn’t sure what to say to have this conversation. I’m glad you brought it up on the first day.'” He added. “She agreed with everything I said. She thanked me for bringing it up.”

Dave clarified that after their communication dried up post-villa he realised that they weren’t going to work out as a couple in the real world, adding that they spent more time together on the holiday, than they did in the villa.

“I didn’t want to do that trip and pretend — not pretend — but get feelings that are more serious than that should be. We’d already had that drop off of communication after the show, and I’m like, I don’t want to do that again… she’s gonna end up hating me for it. We sort of connected again [as friends], and I’m like, let’s just protect what we have.”

The 37-year-old said that once they’d had their relationship-defining talk, they went on to have a great time in the tropics together.

“We had that conversation, got it out of the way, and we had fun together.”

Where does Perfect Match’s Sophie and Dave’s relationship stand now?

Sophie and Dave’s relationship is completely done, with the Aussie confirming to Chattr that he’s currently single.

The Perfect Match winners are still on good terms, but Dave said he doesn’t think there’s any chance of them rekindling their romance in the future.

“I think I think we would just be friends. Like, she’s a lovely, lovely, lovely person, and I hope she thinks the same as me, but I feel like that to have what we have is super special.

“I would never ever take that for granted. And I think that is just our journey together, and it’s a f**king great one.”

Are Dave and Sophie from Perfect Match still together?

Dave Hand is the first Married at First Sight (MAFS) Australia participant to make it into the Netflix reality universe, starring on Perfect Match Season 4, and he’s certainly made an impression so far.

Within hours of entering the Perfect Match villa, Dave made out with both Ally Lewber and Nat Cruz, before partnering up with Mackenzie Bellows. Then, when Sophie Willett entered in episode four, Dave quickly formed a strong connection with the former Love Is Blind villain, and the pair ultimately went on to win the season together.

Filming of Perfect Match took place in November 2025, so six months have passed since the final was filmed. Did Sophie and Dave’s relationship survive outside the villa? Read on to find out everything we know about Perfect Match‘s Sophie and Dave’s relationship status.

Are Perfect Match’s Sophie and Dave still together after the show?

Unfortunately for Dave and Sophie stans, the couple’s relationship didn’t last after the show. Dave told Chattr in a post-finale interview that he and Sophie spent a day together in Mexico post-finale but things started to fizzle out when they were apart.

“We never put a label on it. It’s a hard thing, because it’s like I’ve literally known this person for seven days. That’s the reality of it. I only knew Soph for seven or eight days, and then we won a show and parted ways,” he explained.

“Life just happens,” he added. “Me and her are close, we talk and everything’s good, but it was just a sort of thing, there’s a whole bloody ocean in between us.”

Dave and Sophie jetted off to the Maldives as their prize for winning Perfect Match Season 4 about a month after filming wrapped, but things were purely platonic on their getaway.

I feel like that we’re in a good position, I respect you as a friend and I’d love to keep that relationship as a friend and enjoy this trip together as friends.

“And she said, ‘I agree’, she goes, ‘I wasn’t sure what to say to have this conversation. I’m glad you brought it up on the first day.’” He added. “She agreed with everything I said. She thanked me for bringing it up.”

What’s happened between Dave Hand and Sophie Willett on Perfect Match Season 4?

Sophie was a latecomer and only arrived at the villa in episode 4 after she was picked in the boardroom by challenge winners Demari Davis and Marissa George.

She arrived alongside Katherine Laprell, Kassy Castillo and chose Dave for a date by default after Jimmy Presnell and Jimmy Sotos were both picked by her fellow intruders. However, Dave and Sophie hit it off on their date and went ahead and matched that night.

While they initially kept things fairly casual — even kissing other contestants at the singles mixer — their connection has started to blossom, with Dave telling Sophie in Episode 7 that he isn’t interested in anyone else.

“Watching everyone tonight, I realise we’re still drawn to each other, and there’s no one else that I’m interested in in this place,” Dave told her.

In an interview with Chattr, Dave said that moment was when he realised he was starting to have genuine feelings for the Brit.

“We went on to the mixer party, we only were matched for about 24 hours before that, but even going off and then sort of coming back to Sophie and having the chats and stuff like that, about closing off and sort of locking in together, that was a good turning point for both of us.

“We were always drawn to each other, having a laugh and stuff like that, so it was like, I care about this person, and in there the emotions are very intense… it is intensified, and to have that connection that you didn’t expect was really cool.”

Dave reveals what Perfect Match’s Sophie is really like

Sophie’s first reality show was Love Is Blind UK Season 2 and she built a strong connection with Kieran Holmes-Darby, but when it became clear that he was also very interested in his now-wife Megan Jupp, she made it clear she wasn’t willing to be a second choice and walked out of the show.

Sophie’s assertive nature on Love Is Blind managed to help her score the title of the season’s villain from fans, but Dave told Chattr that that perception couldn’t be further from the truth.

“She is such a sweet soul, her and her dad have a really good bond, her and her family. She’s got a cute little dog. She lives a little simple life. She’s not a villain, she just speaks her mind. She might say something that people don’t agree with, but she’s not, she’s not a villain. She’s, she’s a lovely, lovely, sweet person. She’s a good support, she builds you up as well,” he gushed.

Dave added that he and Sophie bonded over being able to share more of their real personalities than was shown on their initial reality TV shows.

“I feel like we both get to show our personality a lot more on Perfect Match. Especially me, you hardly ever got to see me show any emotion, I was very quiet on MAFS, and same with Sophie. I feel like she’s come out of her shell completely on this show on Perfect Match, and I’m so glad that she got that.

“We had conversations about her villain edit, and the way she was portrayed, and the way that sort of the people treated her, so I knew that it was special to her to have fun on this show and sort of express herself.”

Dave reveals the Perfect Match finale was a tie and the cast had to revote

Dave Hand and Sophie Willett were crowned the winners of Perfect Match Season 4 after a juicy finale — but, Dave tells Chattr that a huge part of the finale was cut out, and that they were actually tied with another couple after the first vote.

“What originally happened is everyone voted, then it was the top two, so it was Me and Sophie and Yamen and Natalie, we were tied. Yeah, everyone had to re-vote again for just us two couples,” he spills.

However, viewers never got to see the tense tie-breaker play out on screen, with the episode cutting straight to host Nick Lachey announcing Dave and Sophie as the official winners after the second round of voting.

“So we had to do a revote, and I didn’t think it was possible [for us to win] until the revote,” Dave shared. “So Yamen and Natalie came second, and then we were first.”

Dave revealed that he almost voted for Yamen and Natalie, but changed his mind at the last minute which helped secure him the win with Sophie — as one more vote for Yamen and Natalie would have broken the original tie.

“I voted for Jimmy and Allison, I was going to vote for Yamen and Natalie, but then I ended up voting for Jimmy and Allison.”

When asked whether he thought people voted for Yamen and Natalie strategically — in the hopes of not backing a stronger couple who could beat them — Dave said he didn’t believe that was the case.

“I think a lot of people were like. it was could have been strategic, but I don’t think that anyone was really like, ‘Oh if I do this then that will happen, I don’t think it happens like that.’ In the moment, it’s very quick.”

Dave revealed that the cast didn’t actually head to the Boardroom to vote for their winner, instead they filmed scenes after the decision was announced.

“The Boardroom’s filmed after [the results are announced]. So, we’re just all voting on a bit of paper, and then a couple of hours later, we do the filming for the Boardroom.”

Who voted for Dave and Sophie and did they think they were going to win Perfect Match?

Dave said that after he and Sophie won the final challenge he began to think there was a chance they could win Perfect Match.

“After the challenge and the boardroom and stuff like that, we were sort of like, okay, this is falling into our favour a little bit, but we never really thought 100% we’re gonna win, I went in there having fun,” he said.

“I didn’t think I’d really connect with anybody… And somehow me and Sophie connected the way we did, and that’s what made it super special.”

Dave added that he thinks the friendships he and Sophie built throughout their time in the villa are what ultimately led to their win.

“I felt that once it wasn’t a draw [we had a chance], because I had such a good connection with everyone in the villa, like I seriously just got along with everyone. Sophie had the girls that she came in with, you know, Kassy and Kat, and she made good friends in the villa, so I thought, as soon as it was a draw, I was like, we’re in a good position here.”

Dave added that he thinks a lot of their votes came from the women of the house.

“I think the majority of the girls would have just because, look, I know I kissed a lot of girls, and this and that, but I think that I was genuine, and I was respectful, and I was honest with how I felt the whole way through, and I wasn’t there to win,” he explained.

“I didn’t have an agenda, and I think that people could see that, so I think majority of the girls respected me as a person, and that’s why we would have got it.

“But, the boys as well, the majority of the boys in the house, we had such a strong bond and time together. I still talk to everyone, so it’s sort of like I’ve got no beef, and I think that that goes a long way.”

In another unaired moment, Dave shared that after their win, Nick Lachey praised Dave and Sophie for the way they were open throughout much of their time in the villa, and said they did the show ‘the way it should be done.'”

“The reason I think we won is because Sophie and I… We did flirt around, we did kiss a lot of people and then somehow we came together in this organic way of connecting,” Dave explained.

“I really do feel like the way that Sophie and I went about the show– the purpose of the show got us over the line. We were open, we were, you know, we dived into the experience, and we had fun, and then we found each other. I think that’s what the show is about.”

MAFS’ Stella says she’s a trad wife: ‘Value loyalty’

Not long after Tyson Gordon went on 60 Minutes saying he’s looking for a “trad wife”, Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2026 bride Stella Mickunaite has confirmed she falls under that umbrella.

“I am a ‘trad wife’,” she wrote alongside a social media post showing how marriage opens doors for her (including the dishwasher door, freezer door, laundry machine door and the fridge door). “I want my man to earn more than me. I want to admire him. I want to be spoiled. I want my nails, lashes and little luxuries to be part of the family expense. I want to stay home with my baby for as long as I choose.”

However, she clarified in her post that she doesn’t buy into the woman “submitting” and a man “leading”. Instead, she sees her relationship with Filip Gregov as they both put effort into the relationship to make sure it lasts.

“A lot of modern relationships fail because people want the benefits of commitment without the discipline, sacrifice, accountability, and emotional maturity that traditional values [require],” she wrote.

“Modern love with traditional values often [look] like: two ambitious people still prioritising the relationship, open communication instead of silent resentment, independence without acting single, loyalty even when attention is accessible everywhere, choosing long-term peace over ego battles, building a home, not just a highlight reel, respecting masculine/feminine differences without weaponising them [and] keeping standards high while still knowing how to compromise.”

She also says that being a “trad wife” doesn’t mean she can’t also further her education if she wants, or work, or be creative.

“I’m a trad wife. Oh, and yes… I’m also a woke wife too,” she finished.

Fans praise Stella’s trad wife Instagram post

After Stella posted her Instagram reel with the long caption, fans praised her for being so honest.

“Well said Stella! Too many labels and rules, just mutual respect and love, whatever that looks like for each couple,” one person wrote.

“You two are the only genuine couple to come out of that show,” another gushed.

“Explained perfectly,” a third remarked.

“So true,” another exclaimed.

It looks like these two are still going strong, even after all this time. They’re the true golden couple of Married At First Sight.

MAFS’ Mel spent over $6K during her time on the show: ‘It’s a lot’

Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2026 bride Mel Akbay wasn’t on the show for very long, but she still spent between $6K and $10K while she was there. The bride tells Chattr it’s an expensive exercise, so for anybody looking to go on the show in the future, you should probably start saving now.

“Going on MAFS is expensive, you don’t go on MAFS if you don’t have enough money to support yourself while you’re on the show,” Mel says.

According to the reality TV contestant, everybody is given $1000 per week while they’re filming, along with a weekly $175 budget for groceries. While Mel says it’s enough money to “survive”, people need to remember this stipend also has to cover expenses back home, whether that’s rent, a mortgage payment or other bills.

Plus, there are beauty expenses that add up quickly. “You’re [also] on TV, so you constantly kind of want to buy clothes… get your hair [done], buy new makeup, you want to get your nails done, and it ends up being a lot of money,” Mel explains.

“We work with these really amazing makeup artists, hairstylists [and] dress hire companies that really do help us, but day to day, you do spend a lot of money.”

The reason Mel spent upwards of $6K on MAFS is because while she only spent six weeks on the show, she needed to take time off work afterwards due to trauma.

“I also didn’t go back to work straight away. MAFS is a really traumatic experience, so I had to have about three weeks off after the show just to fully recover from that, and I had to use my savings while I was off.”

Before any haters come her way, she says six weeks doesn’t sound like a long time, but fans need to remember the immense pressure contestants are put under.

“It’s six weeks, but it’s 24 hours a day. It’s not like you’re working six hours [per day] for six weeks… it’s 24 hours, and you’re consumed by it,” she declares. “That’s why it’s a lot.”

Would Mel go back on reality TV?

Three months ago, Mel would have said she would never step foot on a reality TV set again. Now that there’s been some distance from her and the MAFS journey she went on, her tune has changed.

“I’ve become a much stronger version of myself, I kind of feel like I think I would go on a reality TV show again, just so I can redeem myself,” Mel spills.

“I can be like, hey guys, the MAFS version of me wasn’t accurate! This is who I am.”

She’s in no rush to get on the next show though, as she’s busy on a wellness journey and has returned to her regular job.

However, if Mel does end up back on our TV screens again, it won’t be for MAFS: All Stars or Love Island. “I would definitely be more interested to do a reality TV show that’s not based around love,” she reveals.

“I think love is one of those things where obviously [with] my personality, if I’m not interested in someone, I can’t fake it and I don’t want to waste my time or anybody else’s time.”

Could we see Mel on Big Brother? Only time will tell.

Farmer Wants A Wife 2026: Meet Farmer Alex, who host Natalie thinks is the ‘dream man’

Farmer Wants A Wife (FWAW) is about to set hearts fluttering on Seven and 7plus soon, and there’s already one Farmer who will be a surefire favourite.

Farmer Alex sounds like a big ol’ sweetie, and the 28-year-old beef and mushroom farmer from Kin Kin, Queensland, is searching for the real thing: true love, of course.

In a teaser for the new season, the self-confessed hopeless romantic, Alex Thompson-Welch, said he believes “life is too short not to make grand gestures”. Naturally, FWAW host Natalie Gruzlewski was left in a puddle. “Sorry, I’m getting a bit distracted talking to you. You sound like the dream man.” Hard agree, gurl.

From a perfect first date to a dreamy first kiss, Alex’s journey will be packed with passion, vulnerability and heartfelt moments.

But his love story isn’t without drama, as in the teaser there is one shocking revelation that seemingly sends one of his Ladies home, as he admits, “I don’t think I’d be able to date someone… it just wouldn’t work.”

This begs the question: is she worth a second chance?

Farmer Alex with one of his Ladies. Image: Seven.
Farmer Alex with one of his Ladies. Image: Seven.

And will Farmer Alex’s grand gesture get him a fairytale ending?

Hosted by Natalie Gruzlewski, Farmer Wants A Wife is set to get Australian hearts pumping when it airs in 2026.

What kind of farmer is Farmer Alex on Farmer Wants A Wife?

Let’s be real, Farmer Wants a Wife 2026 star Alex Thompson-Welch isn’t your typical boots-and-utes farmer, and he’s the first to admit it.

The 28-year-old from Kin Kin, Queensland, spends his days wrangling cows and growing mushrooms to sell at local markets. But when he knocks off, he’s writing poetry, jamming on the drums and guitar, or putting his university computer science degree to use.

What is Farmer Alex’s real job?

Alex grew up in Toowoomba and headed to Brisbane in his mid-twenties. It was during his university tech studies that his life took a massive detour into agriculture. He got involved with Eastwell Farms while at uni and fell in love with sustainable agriculture and knowing exactly where our food comes from.

These days, he manages everything from the actual food production to marketing and selling face-to-face at farmers’ markets. He reckons blending tech with farming is “immensely useful,” and when he actually gets a breather, he’s usually busy producing music, drumming, or playing the piano. A man of multitudes!

What sort of partner is Farmer Alex looking for on Farmer Wants A Wife?

Alex describes himself as a total hopeless romantic, as well as a “traveller and adventurer.” He’s been putting in the hard yards to set himself up for the future with a very specific dream in mind.

“I have been working hard to build my life and wealth so I can comfortably disappear overseas for a while,” he says. “I am keen to embark on this journey with someone I love.”

Sounds like a dream scenario, sign me TF up.

Image: Seven.

When it comes to his future partner, Alex isn’t just looking for someone who can handle a bit of dirt. He knows exactly what he wants. “I am looking for someone who is deeply connected with themselves and the world around them,” he says.

“I am looking for someone who values learning. I am a nerd at heart, and I want to be with someone similar.”

Because he tends to be a bit deep and serious, he’s looking for someone who brings a bit of sunshine and sparkle to balance him out.

“I would love someone artistic, fun, and sometimes a bit cheeky. I can be quite serious sometimes, so I am looking for someone with vibrance and light. I really would like a partner who will bring joy and bundles of playful energy to my life.”

He definitely isn’t planning on holding back when he finds the right person. “I have a lust for life, and I want to share this journey with someone who feels the same.”

Form an orderly queue, gals.

Miin weighs in on whether the MasterChef elimination format is fair: ‘One mistake’

Fan favourite Miin Wei Long was eliminated from MasterChef Australia after everything seemed to go wrong for him in a Black Apron heritage challenge. His departure broken the hearts of many viewers, with some taking to social media to mourn his elimination.

“I feel bad about Miin; I thought he’d go farther,” one fan wrote on Reddit. “We definitely need to have a redemption episodes for these eliminated contestents this season. Bella, Kanika, Lucy, Miin, many memorable potentially great cooks has left so soon,” another penned.

Fans clearly thought that Miin would make it further in the competition. After all, he received glowing praise from the MasterChef judges in the first few weeks, and only seemed to falter once he was sent through to the May 20 Elimination Challenge, before struggling again in the heritage challenge that ultimately sent him home.

So, should one or two bad cooks really be enough to end a contestant’s MasterChef journey altogether? Given Miin’s strong performances earlier in the season, many viewers aren’t convinced — and now, Miin himself has weighed in that surprising eliminations are just a part of the process.

“The reality is all it takes is one mistake or one poor cook to send you home, especially when you’re cooking against so many talented and amazing cooks. I made mistakes and had a poor cook on the day so it’s not surprising that I got eliminated when I did,” he told TV Week.

Miin said that once he started his fourth attempt at making noodles, he knew he would be sent home from the competition.

“At that point, I was quite certain that I was going to be eliminated,” he said.

“I was very honest with myself throughout the competition. When I did a poor job, or messed up, I would be the first one to put up my hand and admit it — and was happy to accept the consequences.”

Would Miin ever return to the MasterChef competition?

Shortly after Miin was eliminated from MasterChef, social media was flooded with fans campaigning for his return in a redemption round. Avid viewers will remember that Sav Perrera returned to the competition when she won the Second Chance cook, which is redemption round for contestants who have already been eliminated.

So, if the same opportunity were to pop up for Miin, would he jump on it?

“If I ever got invited back, 100 per cent would!” he told the publication.

“And I would come back a lot better prepared and hopefully less of a train wreck in kitchen. Also, I’d need to get laser surgery on my eyes!”

As for now, Miin’s planning on working on a food-related venture outside of the competition.

“In the long run, fingers crossed, you may see a range of sauces and condiments that’ll help you re-create some of my favourite dishes at home without having to go through all the work yourself,” he said.

MasterChef Australia airs Sunday 7pm and Monday — Wednesday at 7.30pm on Channel 10 and 10Play.

Farmer Wants A Wife: Meet Jason, an ex-heavyweight boxer and ‘big softie’

Farmer Jason Tessmann is throwing his cowboy hat in the ring on Farmer Wants a Wife (FWAW), totally ready to risk it all (and date a bunch of amazing sheilas) for true love.

At 37, this Queensland dairy Farmer has had his heart broken before, but he’s staying optimistic about finding the real deal.

He’s one of five Farmers taking a massive leap of faith this season, and if his teaser is anything to go by, sparks are definitely flying, especially between Farmer Jason and one brunette contestant.

Hosted by Natalie Gruzlewski, the sixteenth season, produced by Eureka Productions for Seven Network, will feature five Farmers looking for love.

Here is the lowdown on Farmer Jason and what he is looking for.

What does Farmer Jason do for work?

Jason is a fifth-generation dairy farmer out in Coolabunia, Queensland. He actually bought the property straight from his family to keep the legacy going strong.

When he isn’t busy running the farm, he keeps himself pretty active.

These days, you can find him playing netball or hitting up reformer pilates (yes, a pilates princess in our midst!), which is a bit of a change of pace from his past life as a passionate rugby player for the Kingaroy Red Ants (which he had to call quits on after racking up three knee reconstructions).

Oh, and fun fact: according to the Courier Mail, he used to be a heavyweight boxer, too! And that’s called range!

Does Farmer Jason have kids?

Yes. Jason is a proud dad to an 11-year-old son and a 5-year-old daughter. He freely admits he’s a “big softie” who wants to find someone to grow his family with.

“I just love being a dad, and I would like to have more if I can,” he explained. “I just love seeing the joy on their faces, and I couldn’t imagine my life without that.”

Who is Farmer Jason from Farmer Wants A Wife Australia 2026
Image: Seven.

What is Farmer Jason looking for in a partner?

He is a happy-go-lucky guy who doesn’t take himself too seriously, but he is incredibly loyal to his inner circle.

“My friends would say I have a big heart and am incredibly loyal to the people I care about,” he said.

Lately, his biggest roadblock has been finding someone ready to commit to his country lifestyle.

“I’ve been unlucky in love, been with someone and finding out they want something different in life,” he shared. “You think, are you good enough, or is there something wrong with me? I’ve got a big heart. Gotta find the right one to give it to.”

Finding a partner who genuinely wants to embrace the farm life is a massive priority for him. “I don’t expect my partner to move straight away because I know it’s hard to leave your family and friends, but I’d like someone who is open to doing it,” he admits

And as for his type? “I am a sucker for a beautiful smile,” he said. “I’m drawn to people who are confident in themselves, outgoing, and open to trying new things, but who also know how to relax and not take life too seriously.”

Ready to put his heart back on the line, Jason is hoping to meet someone who is “fun, bubbly, and kind-hearted, with a good sense of humour and a positive outlook on life”.

Farmer Jason is joined this season by Farmer Jarrad, an almond farmer from Taylorville, South Australia; Farmer Dylan, a sheep farmer and competitive rodeo cowboy from Cherry Gardens, South Australia; Farmer Alex, a cattle and mushroom farmer from Kin Kin, Queensland; and Farmer Zac, an apple orchardist from Forest Range, South Australia. Meet Farmer Jarrad, the TikTok influencer looking for love on Farmer Wants a Wife

Farmer Jarrad may be looking for love on Farmer Wants a Wife (FWAW) 2026, but he’s already got plenty of female attention in his TikTok comments section, where the influencer boasts a huge amount of followers.

The almond Farmer from South Australia is a single dad of two boys, aged 12 and 9 years old, and says that he hopes to raise two “respectful men”.

Standing at a whopping 6’2″ and with his classic good looks, there’s no doubt that Farmer Jarrad will be a hot commodity on FWAW 2026. Read on to find out everything we know about him so far.

Farmer Jarrad has been married before

Farmer Jarrad has been married before and he shares two children with his ex-wife, Jackie.

The couple actually worked urban jobs in Queensland until the late noughties before deciding to help expand Jarrad’s parents’ retirement hobby farm in Taylorville in the Riverland to harvest almonds, according to SA News.

Jarrad and Jackie continued to work their city jobs in Queensland until a property became available near Jarrad’s parents’ farm, which they bought in 2012 and moved permanently to the region to launch their own almond farm.

What is Jarrad looking for on FWAW?

While Jackie and Jarrad’s marriage didn’t last, he’s still on the farm and decided to join FWAW in the hope of finding a partner who’s “family-oriented”.

“I’d love to meet someone who’s confident and comfortable in themselves,” Jarrad added.

“In the past, I’ve been drawn to strong, self-assured women. But strength to me also means being able to compromise on the little things, staying open to new perspectives, and being willing to grow together.

“A thoughtful, kind, emotionally mature partner and someone I can build something meaningful and special with is really what I’m hoping to find.”

Jarrad revealed that he’s a hopeless romantic deep down, and loves nothing more than showing his partner exactly how he feels.

“I think romance is all about the little things. I’ve cooked surprise meals, organised thoughtful getaways, and made time to really connect, even just listening when it matters most,” he explained.

“To me, it’s about showing up for someone in small, meaningful ways that make them feel loved every day.”

Farmer Jarrad’s massive TikTok following

Farmer Jarrad regularly gives a look into his day-to-day life on the farm on TikTok, and he’s racked up quite the following on the platform.

He has over 55,000 followers and 270,000 likes on TikTok and has plenty of women in his comments section asking about his day. Jarrad, who actively responds to his followers, has already filled them in about his FWAW journey.

“All the ladies giving you some love, Jarrad. You do live in a beautiful country and I’m loving the almond farm videos… Your ‘Farmer looking for a wife programme’ is imminent, isn’t it? Keep us posted,” one fan asked him, to which he replied: “Thanks for comment. It goes to air very soon, not sure on the date yet.”

Elsewhere on TikTok, some of his followers tried to bypass the FWAW process by shooting their shot in the comments section of one of his videos.

“You look very handsome.. it looks very lovely,” one wrote, while another penned: “It looks good on you Jarrad, a handsome man.”

Gia is selling her $100k car after regretting buying it for MAFS: ‘I’ve been humbled’

Gia Fleur from Married at First Sight (MAFS) is teaching us all a lesson in ‘staying humble’, albeit when a $100k car is concerned (sorry, can’t relate).

In a hilarious TikTok, Gia started her video by telling her 64k followers “Let’s be humble,” before announcing some news.

“I’m selling my Range Rover,” she said. “I only bought the car in January, so I’ve literally had it [just] a few months.”

The divisive MAFS bride went on to say that she might have jumped the gun on the pre-MAFS purchase. “I’ll be honest, another humbling fact is I bought it off the show thinking I was a big deal,” she admitted.

@giafleurofficial Ok guys I may be a day late but this is a big one!! #mafs #mafsau #mafsaustralia #rangerover #humble ♬ original sound – GIA FLEUR

In an effort to ‘be more humble’, Gia confessed. “I bought it and I said, ‘You know what? I’m Gia from MAFS. I’m a bad bitch. I should be driving a f**king $100k car, that’s what I should be doing now.”

However, Gia didn’t predict that the global fuel crisis, off the back of conflict in the Middle East, would impact her to this extent. “Honestly guys, with the fuel prices right now and the cost of living, was that very smart? Not really, especially when it’s costing me $140 to fill the f**king car up. Not to mention how much the registration is every year and the insurance on a luxury car.”

She then tried to caution her followers against making her mistake. “Think about these things before you buy a luxury vehicle,” she said. Gia has since dropped her Land Rover off at the dealer to be sold and has already made moves to buy a replacement car. “Stay tuned for the new car. Vroom vroom. It’s coming very soon. Give me one or two days of being more humble and I will drop it,” she joked.

Back in December 19, 2025, Gia shared a photo of her new Land Rover, captioned “taking a social media break for reasons you’ll all soon find out about if you haven’t already. Merry Christmas and happy new year everyone! #newcar #newyear.”

Gia opens up about signing with Kim Kardashian’s former publicist

Hot off the heels of MAFS, Gia signed with Markson Sparks, who had previously worked with Kim Kardashian.

At the time, Gia told Chattr that she was chuffed to sign with the talent agency. “Markson Sparks just felt like the perfect fit,” she said. “Supportive, forward-thinking, and completely aligned with my next chapter. I’m excited to see where Max and his team take me, get used to seeing my face, whether you like it or not!”

Founder and director of Markson Sparks, Max Markson, spoke to Chattr about adding Gia to a roster of major names from Married at First Sight Australia. “Gia is someone that everybody is talking about, and I’m delighted to be representing her. Past MAFS alumni I’ve represented and continue to, include Jessika Power and Cyrell Paule — both of whom have gone on to star in multiple reality TV shows since,” he said.

“I’ve worked with Kim Kardashian, Rachel Hunter, Pamela Anderson — to name just a few. I see big things ahead for Gia.”

Steph from MAFS has defended Tyson’s controversial ‘trad-wife’ interview on 60 Minutes: ‘It’s fine’

Former Married at First Sight (MAFS) groom, Tyson Gordon, has done an interview with 60 Minutes to say, umm *checks notes* he no longer wants a ‘submissive wife’. Great!

In case you’ve forgotten all about this man (goals tbh!), the MAFS 2026 season has just finished airing in the UK, which means Tyson has been stirring up controversy again, but this time on the other side of the world.

And yep, they don’t love him there either.

As a quick refresher, these are just some of the things that intruder groom, Tyson Gordon, did to quickly establish himself as the ultimate villain of Married At First Sight Australia 2026.

He routinely spoke about women in a sexist way, as he recycled through manosphere rhetoric to draw comparisons to misogynistic influencers like Andrew Tate.

He told his partner, Steph Marshall, that by her displaying drive or ambition meant she had “masculine energy”. He also claimed that if he were to be a stay-at-home dad, he “may as well wear a skirt around the house,” calling it a strictly a role for women.

In his introduction, he shared homophobic comments, telling the camera “I don’t like when gay guys come up to me. I’m not gay. That’s on you guys. Whatever you do behind closed doors…”

He told Stephanie that he once ended a relationship after discovering the woman had 78 sexual partners, saying, “I had to escort her out of the house, I didn’t want to get HIV.”

And most controversial of all, he openly stated during a confessional and to Stephanie, “I don’t want a slave for a wife… all I want is a submissive wife.”

It’s been over a month since MAFS ended, but Tyson still isn’t being let off for his horrible “submissive woman” comments. On the latest 60 Minutes, journalist Amelia Adams grilled Tyson about his past sexist statements.

“Submissive was the wrong word to use. Traditional is the word I was looking for and traditional is a word I wanted to use,” he told 60 Minutes.

He then felt the need to clarify to Amelia that he isn’t “looking for a dog” to obey him. “I’m not looking to put my wife on a leash at all,” Tyson said. “I don’t expect to chain her up in the kitchen and say, ‘Make me a sandwich’,” he continued.

“She’s not just going to be locked up in here all day. It’s nothing like that.”

Ummm, well, good? Literally, the more disgusting words this man says, the more I switch off entirely. Tyson ended the segment by telling the journalist that “there’s really nothing wrong with wanting a traditional relationship in this day and age. I think if you can financially support it, then why not?”

In short, this man has not grown an inch since being matched with Steph on MAFS.

Steph responds to Tyson’s interview on 60 Minutes

In light of the interview, Steph told Chattr that she thought Tyson did well on 60 Minutes, defending his search for a ‘traditional wife’ who believes in a partnership following traditional roles.

“I don’t think what he’s looking for is out of the ordinary, and as I said all along, if the wife staying at home is what works for a couple and can be sustained in this economy, and the family can live a comfortable life, that’s fantastic!” she said.

Steph did add that she believed that a traditional family structure shouldn’t be based on gender. “If the wife’s the breadwinner and the husband stays at home, that’s also fine,” she added.

But she did clarify that this shouldn’t mean one partner has authority over the other. “However, it’s important to note that as long as the ‘obey, submissive, bow down to me, what I say goes’ attitude isn’t there, it’s fine. If it is present and is the expectation, that’s where the problem lies.”

Steph reflects on being matched with Tyson on MAFS

The poor woman matched with Tyson has previously shared some reflections with Chattr on her time with the controversial MAFS groom.

When asked by Chattr if she believes contestants are intentionally mismatched, [Steph] replied: “Unfortunately, yes.”

“I really was just choosing to believe the best [in the experiment] and I think you’ve got to,” Steph said. “But in hindsight, as if Tyson and I were ever going to be a good match? Like, as if that was ever going to work with the kind of person he was?” she asked.

Steph believes she was cast opposite Tyson to potentially teach him about how to treat women.

“I don’t know if they put me with him to teach him a bit of a lesson or something like that, not that he would have learnt any… it was pretty evident from the start that there was no way someone like me would be a good match for someone like him.”

We’ve reached out to Steph for comment on Tyson’s 60 Minutes interview.

Fan rally for Jonathan LaPaglia to host Survivor US after Rizo blunder at Season 50 live finale

The most shocking moment in the highly anticipated live finale of Survivor US Season 50 wasn’t the winner reveal — it was when longtime host Jeff Probst accidentally spoiled the result of the final fire-making challenge before viewers had even seen it play out. And the mishap has had fans rallying for former Australian Survivor host Jonathan LaPaglia (JLP) to take over the hosting role, claiming that he wouldn’t have made the same error.

ICYMI, midway through the finale, viewers watched challenge winner Aubrey Bracco decide that Jonathan Young and Rizo Velovic would face off in fire-making to determine who would make the Final Three. However, just before the segment aired, Rizo was brought out on stage to discuss his loss. The camera then cut to a visibly confused cast before the show abruptly went to a commercial break, and when it returned, Jeff admitted he had accidentally spoiled Rizo’s elimination.

“I love doing live television, so in case you’re confused, this is what happened,” Jeff began. “We were going to show you fire making and then have the loser of fire making Rizo come out and talk about how charming he is and if he’d practiced fire making maybe he would have won. Instead we did a Survivor twist, it’s the last twist of the season, we called it a peek into the future so now we’re going to watch Rizo lose in fire.”

Fans call for JLP to host Survivor US

Beloved Australian Survivor host Jonathan LaPaglia was replaced by David Genat in 2026, and fans believe Jeff’s live blunder has left the door open for JLP to step into the international role.

“JLP would never do what Jeff just did,” one person wrote on Reddit, with another agreeing on Instagram. “JLP would never give a huge spoiler during the live finale…”

“I cannot believe I am finally about to say this; I never thought I would…but it’s time for Jeff to hang up the hat and for you to take over here in the states,” a third said, with another joking: “They should’ve cut back from commercial and JLP is hosting.”

Interestingly, Jonathan LaPaglia was actually in attendance at the live Survivor Season 50 finale that was filmed at Paramount Studios in Los Angeles. But, unfortunately for passionate JLP fans, it wasn’t to make the announcement that he was taking over from Jeff.

What did Jeff Probst say about the Rizo mistake?

The Survivor US Season 50 live finale aired in Australia on Stan from 10am on Thursday, May 21, and it didn’t take Jeff long to address his blunder in post-filming interviews. On CBS Mornings, the next day, Jeff explained to host Gayle King what actually happened.

“What’s happening when you’re doing a Survivor finale is you’re running the show — the episode — and then you’re doing these live hits where I come out, and I talk to one of these players. I’m not watching the show,” he said.

“I’m backstage getting ready for my funny question with Rizo about it. ‘If only he had practiced fire-making.’ So I come out, we’re all set up on the stage, we’ve got an empty seat for Rizo. I don’t think anything’s weird.”

Jeff said that when he felt the shocked reaction from the audience he knew something had gone wrong.

“It wasn’t until I started talking to Rizo about losing in fire — I’m telling you, we had 1,200 people here, I could collectively feel the energy go to an emoji like this [shocked face].”

“We have a big team, mistakes happen. We just got ahead of ourselves. And none of us saw it,” he added.

Robert Irwin confirms that I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here Australia has officially been axed

It’s official, I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! Australia has officially been axed, with the network confirming that it won’t be apart of the 2027 schedule for Channel 10.

“We have made the decision to rest I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! in 2027 as we focus on offering our audience a range of content on all platforms,” a network spokesperson said. “We look forward to working with Julia Morris and Robert Irwin on other projects.”

Robert issued a statement about the end of his and Julia’s tenure as host of the series.

“I want to express what an absolute privilege it has been to work on this show for the past three seasons. I grew up watching this show as so many Aussies do, so to be part of the fantastic team that make this series a reality felt like a dream come true,” he began.

“We have had the honour of sharing incredible stories and create a platform to shine a light on amazing charities that our celebrities have supported along the way. And to do it all alongside my co-host, and friend, Julia Morris made it a truly life-changing experience that I will remember for the rest of my life.”

First reported emerged that I’m a Celebrity would be axed

On May 14, TV BlackBox reported that Paramount wouldn’t be signing on for the 2027 season. However, the network told Chattr at the time that no decision has been made about the show’s future just yet — and it hasn’t been officially axed.

“Decisions regarding the 2027 program schedule, including I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! will be made in the coming weeks,” a network spokesperson said.

But while the reality show won’t be returning to Network 10, it may not be gone for good. An industry source told The Age that 10’s exclusivity period ended in April, allowing other networks to register their interest, with both 7 and 9 reportedly keen on the series.

“But this has happened before,” the source said prior to the official news of 10’s decision to not buy the rights for 2027. “The exclusivity period would expire and then a few months later, usually around June or July, 10 would sign on for another year. And if 10 decides not to pick it up for 2027, we’re pretty confident that Seven or Nine will be interested.”

TV BlackBox also said that ITV, the production company behind the series, is hoping that the show will be picked up by another network in Australia.

Channel 7 and Channel 9 are reportedly eyeing up Robert Irwin for hosting roles

Robert Irwin’s star power grew significantly when he landed the coveted role of co-host of I’m a Celebrity Australia alongside Julia Morris. Since then, he’s gone on to win Dancing With The Stars US, and be announced as the new host of a spin-off of the popular American show, called Dancing with the Stars: The Next Pro.

And, with I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! Australia axed, it’s unlikely that Robert will be short of options if he still wants to work in Australian TV. On May 12, Sky News reported that both Channel 9 and Channel 7 were eyeing him up for hosting roles off the back of the news of I’m a Celebrity‘s uncertain future.

“Robert appeals to multiple demographics and has become incredibly valuable commercially,” one insider claimed about Robert joining Channel 7. “He’s someone networks believe could front several major formats over the next decade.”

Farmer Wants a Wife: Meet Farmer Zac, whose search for love is about to get messy

Farmer Zac may be the youngest lead on Farmer Wants a Wife (FWAW) 2026, but the 24-year-old apple farmer from Forest Range, South Australia, says he’s more than ready to settle down. And with the show’s strong success rate, Zac is hoping he’ll be the next farmer to find his future wife on FWAW.

“I am young, but I do know what I want for my future and that’s finding love,” the Farmer said in his original introduction video, which was shared last year.

But while Zac’s hoping to find his future wife on FWAW, promos for the season already tease plenty of drama among the Ladies competing for his heart. While Zac will have a bevvy of lovely Ladies to choose from on the show, he knows he’ll need to push himself to be more confident and show the women his true self.

“I’m not a shy boy, but sometimes pretty ladies can make me a little bit nervous,” He admitted in a promo video.

If you’re keen to learn more about the farmer who’s “sweeter than apple pie”, read on for everything we know so far.

What is FWAW’s Farmer Zac looking for in a partner?

Farmer Zac knows exactly what he’s looking for on FWAW, and he’s praying the casting team can find that perfect girl for him.

“Things that are very important to me and a partner is she’s absolutely got to have a great personality, yeah, someone who can keep up with my lifestyle, with my mates and my family, and open, honest communication is massive,” he said.

“What’s missing in my life is that person that I can connect with, that special person,” he explained, adding that if he does for the right woman for him, another FWAW engagement may be on the cards!

“Marriage and kids is absolutely a massive part of moving forward, and I just want to experience that with the right person, something,” he added. “I’m so ready to find love and really hoping that the right person for me is out there somewhere. Love is awesome.”

Who is Farmer Zac’s FWAW Lady, Miranda?

One Lady who will likely ruffle feathers is contestant Miranda, who has made her intentions clear in a promo clip.

“City boys are just pathetic and I’ve had enough,” she declared. “I know what I want – and I want Farmer Zac.”

“I wish for a kiss from Zac tonight. I wish for the next date. And I wish for Jessica to go home. As you know, I do get what I want,” she added.

While the promo shows Miranda schmoozing Farmer Zac on a one-on-one date, it also teases tension brewing between her and some of the other Ladies on the farm.

“I’ve struggled all my life with people being jealous of me, and this is giving jealous,” she says, before two of them storm off in tears.

Will she be Clarette Annalisa 2.0 from FWAW 2025? We can’t wait to find out!

Former MAFS Australia brides speak out over sexual assault controversy in UK version

The popular reality series Married at First Sight UK (MAFS UK) has been plunged into controversy following a damning BBC Panorama documentary titled The Dark Side of Married at First Sight.

The exposé on the UK series detailed allegations of sexual assault and misconduct, along with systemic failures in the show’s duty of care to its contestants.

The controversy erupted when three former female contestants came forward. Two anonymous participants alleged they were raped by their on-screen husbands during the production. A third contestant, Shona Manderson accused her on-screen partner of taking things too far during a non-consensual sex act. The accused men have denied all claims.

In the report, the women claimed the show did not do enough to protect them. Channel 4 released a statement in response, confirming they were undergoing an independent external review into contributor welfare and production protocols, overseen by law firm Clyde & Co.

“In April, Channel 4 was presented with serious allegations of wrongdoing against a small number of past contributors, allegations that we understand those contributors have denied. The channel is mindful of the privacy and continuing duty of care towards all contributors, and cannot comment on or disclose details of those allegations,” they said.

“Related to those allegations, Channel 4 was asked to respond to claims of failures in welfare protocols. Channel 4 believes that when concerns related to contributor welfare were raised through existing welfare and production protocols, prompt and appropriate action was taken, based on the information available at the time. Channel 4 strongly refutes any claim to the contrary.”

In response to the gravity of the accusations, Channel 4 removed all previous seasons of MAFS UK from its streaming platforms.

Channel 4’s CEO, Priya Dogra, expressed deep sympathy for the women. “I have watched the programme, and heard the women’s accounts, which are very troubling,” she said.

“Their distress is clear, and for that, I am of course deeply sorry.”

The report has had reverberations across the reality TV world, and several MAFS Australia brides shared their thoughts with Chattr.

Former MAFS Australia brides speak out about MAFS UK allegations

A bride from the 2026 season of MAFS, Mel Akbay, told Chattr she was left ‘heartbroken’ hearing about the women’s allegations.

“I have seen the news about the MAFS UK stuff, and it’s heartbreaking, it’s horrible, it makes me angry,” Mel told Chattr.

Mel went on to allege that she felt pressured to become more intimate with her partner during the experiment.

“All I can say is being a woman in that environment with Luke, he’s so respectful, he’s so kind, I never had to worry about anything like that. But what I will say is, when you’re not interested in your partner, when you don’t want to sleep in the same bed or even the same apartment, immediately you’re made to feel like you’re wrong, or you’re shamed for doing that, or you get in trouble with the experts for not trying hard enough, or wanting to stay in a different apartment,” Mel claimed.

“Then you just end up saying yes to these things that you’re uncomfortable doing. That’s what really makes me angry, is the fact that these women were probably in a situation where they didn’t feel like they had a voice; their voice was stripped from them because they were either made to feel ashamed for not wanting them, they were made to feel ashamed for not wanting to be in that environment.”

Tahnee Cook was a breakout bride on the 2023 season. In an Instagram post, she opened up about feeling “distressed and deeply saddened” by the BBC’s allegations. She went on to note that while her experience filming MAFS Australia was “generally quite positive”, she said there was a time when she reached out to production with welfare concerns and it “wasn’t handled very well or delicately”.

Tahnee also alleged she felt an “expectation” for herself and partner, Ollie Skelton, to kiss on camera.

In an interview with Chattr, she spoke about reading the MAFS UK allegations, which have been “super triggering” for her. “This was so horrifying to hear. It’s been hard as someone who had a positive experience to discover the worst imaginable things happened to women in the same situation as me,” she said.

Tahnee has been in contact with one of the alleged victims, Shona Manderson. “Shona is a friend of mine and I’m so proud of her bravery in speaking up. I felt compelled to show my support and weigh into the conversation. I really just wanted to share another perspective as someone who has also been through the process and touch on some of the conversations around intimacy that may be overlooked,” she said.

Tahnee advises that MAFS Australia should be overhauled to protect its participants. “I think potentially reviewing the format and adding more safeguarding measures to protect people. At a minimum, there should be more extensive background checks on participants. I don’t think anyone with a criminal record (no matter how minor) should be allowed to be involved in the show. Potentially even looking into past relationships more and just really ensuring anyone involved isn’t put at risk of violence in any way,” she said.

A memorable bride from the 2025 season of MAFS, Katie Johnson, shared a post on Instagram about the BBC bombshell. “Honestly, I wasn’t shocked — but I was deeply saddened by it,” Katie told Chattr about reading the MAFS UK news.

“I think the conversation around reality TV has remained far too surface-level for a long time, and stories like this force people to confront the fact that these environments can affect people far more deeply than audiences realise.”

In light of the news, Katie felt compelled to speak out. “I think we need to start having more psychologically honest conversations about these formats. For a long time, reality television has been discussed almost entirely through the lens of entertainment, gossip, editing, or interpersonal conflict between participants. But I think that misses the much bigger picture.”

Katie believes that reality TV in Australia needs to change. “I think reality television generally needs to evolve in how it understands psychological responsibility. I also want to be careful not to oversimplify things because not every participant has the same experience. Some people feel genuinely supported, while others may experience far more pressure, manipulation, emotional escalation, or distress than audiences realise. Both realities can exist at the same time,” she said.

“But I do think there needs to be far more transparency around the psychological impact these environments can have, particularly when participants are placed into highly emotionally charged situations that are then amplified through editing, social media, and public discourse,” she continued.

“I think one of the hardest things is that when filming ends, the public often assumes participants simply ‘go back to normal life’… these are real people inside these environments — not fictional characters — and I think that’s something both audiences and the industry itself sometimes lose sight of.”

2025 contestant, Jacqui Burfoot, has since taken to TikTok to show support for MAFS UK women coming forward. “I really feel for the women over there,” she said. “It’s really hard to call out behaviour that never went to air because people think they know you, but they don’t know what happened behind the scenes.”

MAFS Australia’s past controversy

Back in 2020, MAFS Australia had a brush with controversy when former bride, Poppy Jennings, hinted that something “uncomfortable” had occurred while filming with her MAFS match, Luke Eglin.

“I couldn’t say what was happening behind the scenes as it was too controversial. Why is Luke crying when I left??? Go and ask Luke why I was so uncomfortable????? Why the fk did I really leave??” she wrote on Facebook at the time.

“He’s petrified I am going to talk. He knows he f*ed up. Those tears from him are for his reputation and job!”

In response to her Facebook post, Luke said “I don’t know where you are getting all of this from,” he told The Daily Telegraph in 2020. “I am not going to make any comments because honestly, the best way to react is not to react.”

Nine shared their own statement about Poppy’s claims. “We have seen Poppy’s post and note her distress,” Channel 9 and Endemol Shine wrote in a statement at the time.

“We have reached out to her to offer support and won’t be making any further public comment and will focus on doing our best to support both Poppy and Luke.”

Rachel Gilmore claims she was ‘blindsided and put down’ in an unaired MAFS moment

Rachel Gilmore didn’t have the easiest slog on Married at First Sight (MAFS).

Rachel’s journey on MAFS 2026 was nothing short of a dramatic, emotional rollercoaster. Matching with Steven Danyluk, they initially appeared to be the wholesome, drama-free golden couple we craved. However, their slow-burning relationship quickly grew rocky, plagued by intimacy issues and a lack of accountability from Steven, as he remained tight-lipped over his true feelings for Rachel throughout the experiment.

Despite packing her bags at one point, the couple persevered and committed to each other at Final Vows. Unfortunately, the romance lasted just three weeks on the outside and at the Reunion, they announced their split.

On the latest episode of The Ella Era podcast, Rachel has given her most revealing interview to date. During the chat with MAFS alum, Ella Ding, Rachel shed light on her time in the experiment, namely that weird moment on her honeymoon when she seemingly burst into tears because Steven teased her for being a footy enthusiast.

Rachel claims there was a lot more to this scene than meets the eye. “Every time I’m blowing up, I’m usually being absolutely blindsided or put down,” she said.

“[On the] honeymoon, I did not cry because I was caught out being a Collingwood fan. There’s a whole bit missing there, but that’s fine.”

The Melbourne recruitment worker went on to say that Couples’ Retreat was another case of Steven making her look bad. “Hearing the way he speaks about it, like [saying] ‘Rachel was overreacting.’ Yes, sweetie, because you never were honest and said, actually, babe, I actually need you to own this right now.'”

Rachel believes that Steven had much more culpability in the ‘finger-banging’ saga that took over Couples’ Retreat. On an episode of Stan’s After the Dinner Party, unseen footage was played before Bec’s ‘finger-banging’ toast, showing Steven participating in the banter behind the scenes.

“He let Bec take the fall,” Rachel said. “It would have just been handled so much more differently. But because it was like fuel being thrown on a fire — it became a bigger thing than what it was. I think the one thing that Steven really struggled with was taking accountability, and it would then get him into more trouble.”

Rachel addresses Steven’s ‘party persona’ since MAFS ended

During airing and since MAFS ended, Steven has frequented several club events and boat parties, which has come in stark contrast to the quiet lad we met on the show. This hasn’t gone unnoticed by his ex-bride, Rachel.

“I don’t go to the clubs, man. I want to be at the pub with a pot and a palmy,” Rachel joked.

“I remember having a friend call with Steven and I said, ‘I’ve got to be honest with you. What I’m starting to see, I’m starting to not recognise you. I’m actually starting to go, this is not the man I fell in love with’,” she recalled.

“That’s so fine, go get it, go live your life. But don’t call me, telling me how much you regret things and all of that, and putting up TikTok videos going, I regret this and I regret that, when that’s how you’ve behaved. You’ve been out and doing that,” she told the host.

“It’s a little bit cringe.”

Rachel claims that Steven didn’t relate to her body positivity values

Rachel went on to say that she didn’t believe that she and Steven were aligned in how they viewed their own bodies.

“It was very clear to me early on that Steven was not physically attracted to me,” Rachel shared. “Steven’s on a very big fitness journey himself, a body transformation. He lost a lot of weight before coming on.”

“So when I was sharing that with him, I was like, I’ve done the whole eating nothing but chicken and broccoli. I’m the girl that was actually a size eight in high school, and now I’m a curvy, vivacious woman… speaking to him, I could see he was quite taken aback by that.”

However, Rachel believes attraction grew between the pair over time.

“Steven really connected to my personality and me. I think that’s when the skin deep really fell away. And so we were able to really connect because he was able to truly see the heart of who I am and how I will treat and be with him as a partner,” she said.

“He valued that more than the way that I looked. And I’m not saying that he never found me beautiful or anything like that, I think that grew.”

Rachel shares where she stands with Steven since MAFS ended

Rachel has admitted that she isn’t speaking to Steven right now. “It’s not that we’re not friends. It’s just that I’ve asked for distance. I need time to heal,” she said.

She went on to say that Steven’s inability to ‘compromise’ on their future together spelled the end of their short-lived relationship.

“When he’s not able to compromise on his business, or like where his business was located, that’s in Sydney. I was like, okay, that’s fine. I can move to Sydney,” she said.

“There was just a lack of compromise, compromise, compromise. And even the things that we had discussed, where compromise could be made, like me staying in Melbourne for six months, doing long distance, he would come see me in Melbourne, I would go back to Sydney, all of those things. Even at the first opportunity of showing compromise, he couldn’t compromise.”

Is MAFS’ Gia Fleur pregnant with boyfriend Alan Wallace’s baby? The bride reveals the truth

Married at First Sight (MAFS) 2026 bride Gia Fleur has taken to TikTok shut down rumours that she’s pregnant with her boyfriend Alan Wallace‘s baby.

The 35 year old explained that the rumours originally kicked off after a fake news article with an AI photo showing her and Alan holding a pregnancy test at a charity event circulated on social media — the same thing that happened to Farmer Wants a Wife 2025 winners Corey Manwaring and Keeley Rankin.

“I’m pregnant, according to all these news sources, which guys look at this photo, it’s so AI,” she explained, adding that a recent interview she did encouraged the same narrative.

“I did get asked in a podcast the other day, where I saw my relationship headed with my boyfriend, and what I was seeing in the future, and I did mention eventually having kids, and I think they’ve like taken that, and people have like ran with it.”

However, Gia has made it crystal clear that she’s not currently with child, and clarified that if she were pregnant, she would approach the announcement very differently.

“So I just wanted to say, guys, I am not pregnant, and if I was, I wouldn’t announce it at a charity event with a stick holding up a stick like that, like just that’s crazy. I’d want to know with him and look at the stick together, and then I wouldn’t announce anything unless I’d seen a scan with a heartbeat, and it had been pretty far advanced.”

Does Gia want children with her boyfriend Alan?

Gia and Alan began dating shortly after MAFS was filmed, and have been together for about five months. Gia, who already has a 9-year-old daughter named Willa with her ex-husband, said she’s open to the idea of having more babies.

“Yes, I do see myself having children again, when is that going to happen? Not right now, so you guys all know when I’m pregnant, because I’ll make a beautiful video with my partner, and you’ll see the scan, and it’ll be a whole thing, I’m not going to go to a charity event and go positive, just to let you all know. Sorry, I am not pregnant,” she said in the TikTok clip.

The MAFS bride recently told Pedestrian.TV that she and Alan have discussed their desire to have a child together.

“We both want the same things, and I went into this telling him like, I do want another baby, and I would like to get engaged and have a good wedding — a proper wedding, because I’ve never had a proper wedding,” she shared.

“So I was like, yeah, that’s the sort of things that I want, and he wanted the same things. It’s just a matter of time before hopefully we achieve all of those.”

Multiple MAFS brides come forward with rape claims: ‘I kept saying no’

Trigger Warning: This article contains references to alleged sexual assault and rape.

All of MAFS UK’s episodes have been removed from streaming services after the BBC reported on potential rape and sexual assault during filming. Two women came forward and alleged they were raped while on the show, and a third claimed she was sexually assaulted in a Panorama documentary.

While the UK broadcaster Channel 4 was aware of some allegations involving the victims before the show was broadcast, all of their episodes made it to air and were previously available to stream online.

The production company, CPL, has also come under fire from the brides.

One bride, known to the BBC but reported on under the pseudonym Lizzie, described her harrowing experience. Her on-screen husband would leave bruises on her from sex, and although she “kept saying stop”, he would continue. “He said that if I told anybody what had happened, that he would get someone to throw acid at me,” she alleged.

“I kept saying no, that I didn’t want to do it. But he kept saying, ‘You can’t say no, you’re my wife. And he just did it anyway.'”

Lawyers representing Lizzie’s on-screen husband have denied rape and sexual assault allegations.

Shona Manderson, who is the only bride to come forward publicly, starred on MAFS UK in 2023. While the pair were having sex without contraception, they had agreed on using the pull-out method.

However, during one sexual encounter, her husband Bradley Skelly allegedly ejaculated inside her without warning or permission.

Channel 4 and CPL removed Bradley and Shona from the show shortly after, although Bradley has since denied “any allegations of sexual misconduct”, and claims he believed Shona had given her consent.

What is being done about the MAFS UK rape allegations?

Channel 4 CEO Priya Dogra commissioned an external review into contributor welfare on MAFS UK last month. The law firm Clyde & Co will be looking into CPL’s welfare protocols at the time of complaint, and how the production company and network responded.

“I want to express my sympathy to contributors who have clearly been distressed after taking part in Married At First Sight UK. The wellbeing of our contributors is always of paramount importance,” Dogra said in a statement.

“It would be wholly inappropriate for me to comment on what are very serious allegations made against some MAFS UK contributors. Those allegations – which I understand are disputed by the contributors accused – are not something that Channel 4 is in a position to adjudicate on. We are also mindful of our ongoing duty of care to all contributors, and the need to preserve the anonymity and privacy of all involved.”

According to Dogra, she believes Channel 4 acted “quickly, appropriately, sensitively and with wellbeing front and centre” when concerns about contributor welfare were raised, and “based on information available at the time”.

More to come.

Farmer Wants A Wife: Are Farmer Corey and Keeley still together?

Farmer Corey and Keeley were one of the strongest couples on Farmer Wants A Wife 2025. They weathered it all, from accusations that the pair ‘slept together’ during the show to Corey’s undeniable attraction to intruder Chloe. Yet somehow, these two made it to the end and announced they were still together at the reunion.

However, the reunion was filmed yonks ago, so are these two still together now? We’ve rounded up all the clues below.

Are Farmer Corey and Keeley still together today?

Yes! The couple told Chattr in May that Keeley’s moved to the farm since the show wrapped, and their relationship is going strong.

“We’re still very much together, stronger than ever, and we’ve been going great. We’ve been very, very busy, a lot of things going on lately,” Corey said.

“I think it’s just over the year and a half mark since we actually ended filming. So I moved up to the farm actually about a year ago…it’s been, yeah, really good,” Keeley added.

Farmer Corey and Keeley announced at the Farmer Wants A Wife reunion that the pair were still together. The couple then confirmed their relationship has lasted months after filming wrapped up by sharing a sweet video on Instagram.

The couple were seen hugging in a field while watching a sunset together. How romantic!

Is Keeley pregnant with Corey’s baby?

No! An edited image produced by AI circulated on social media showing Keeley and Corey posing with a print out of an ultrasound. However, the couple have confirmed that they are not expecting.

“There’s been lots of rumours about that, but no, we don’t have any baby plans at the moment,” Corey revealed. “Keeley’s not pregnant. Everyone thinks that she is. She actually gets asked quite a lot at work from people because they think she is, because they just see it online as rumours and that,” Corey said.

The FWAW couple confirmed that they do want to start a family one day, with Keeley adding that it will be “hopefully in the foreseeable future.”

Did Farmer Corey pick Keeley as his winner?

It’s been clear to viewers that Farmer and Corey have grown a strong bond throughout their time together on the show.

However, they’ve repeatedly addressed one main obstacle. Farmer Corey wantswantedKeeley to move to his farm immediately if he picks her. However, Keeley made it clear that she has a work contract that would allow her to move for six months.

However, Corey still picked Keeley as his winner, despite the roadblocks that stand in their way.

Farmer Corey’s best mate says Keeley is his “ideal woman”

On the most recent episode of Farmer Wants A Wife, Farmer Corey’s best mate Luke was tasked with getting to know the remaining Ladies. After questioning Jadee, Annie, Chloe and Keeley at the pub, even Luke could see there was something about Keeley that would suit Corey.

He ended up choosing Keeley to have Corey’s next individual date, believing Chloe’s “strong personality” wouldn’t be suitable for the Farmer.

“Another point that Corey raised to me earlier was that he’s had someone in the past who has had a very strong personality,” Luke said. “I’m not saying that’s potentially a bad thing, but judging by Corey’s past, it could be something he might want to avoid in the future.”

Farmer Wants a Wife’s Keeley and Corey address pregnancy rumours and weddings plans

It’s been over a year since Corey and Keeley found love on Farmer Wants a Wife, and unsurprisingly, the fan-favourite couple are thriving together on the farm.

Ahead of the new season of FWAW, Chattr caught up with Corey and Keeley, who spilled on everything from life on the farm to pregnancy rumours and their wedding plans.

Are Keeley and Corey from FWAW expecting a baby?

A fake news report which included an AI photo of Keeley and Corey holding a printed out a ultrasounds circulated on social media in April, and made its way into some of the FWAW Facebook fan groups. However, Corey and Keeley have quashed the rumours, telling Chattr that Keeley isn’t pregnant.

“There’s been lots of rumours about that, but no, we don’t have any baby plans at the moment,” Corey revealed. “Keeley’s not pregnant. Everyone thinks that she is. She actually gets asked quite a lot at work from people because they think she is, because they just see it online as rumours and that.”

Corey and Keeley confirmed that they do want to start a family one day, with Keeley adding that it will be “hopefully in the foreseeable future.”

“Oh, hopefully in five years, we’ll be married and have a kid or two running around, I think, by that point in time,” Corey chimed in.

Are Farmer Wants a Wife’s Corey and Keeley engaged?

FWAW’s Corey and Keeely aren’t engaged just yet, but Keeley made it clear in our interview that she’s waiting for Corey to pop the question.

“You would say you’re not engaged yet,” he asked his partner, to which she responded: “No, I keep reminding you, its Farmer Wants a Wife, not farmer wants a girlfriend.”

While Corey stayed tight lipped about his proposal plans, he did hint that something may be in the works.

“Who knows, it might be something around the corner. You just have to wait and see,” he laughed.

FWAW 2025 featured a special episode documenting David and Emily’s big day, so would Corey and Keeley consider televising their own wedding once they get engaged?

“We have spoken about it. I don’t know… We’re probably open to it, but yeah, it’s really hard to know how to know at this point,” Corey said.

Keeley wasn’t as enthusiastic, adding: “I kind of hope that by the time that comes around for us, there’ll be, like a couple of farmer couples getting hitched at the same time. So don’t know if we’ll even be needed.”

We’ve got a feeling that whenever that wedding does take place, FWAW fans are going to be invested!
