The vibes have become seriously frosty between The Block 2026 contestants Adam and Wyatt, with tensions between the men exploding over an allegedly stolen power tool.
The Monday night drama came after an already chaotic week involving Adam and Jolene, Chantel and Wyatt and several other contestants. Wyatt had previously been caught snooping around Adam and Jolene’s property, an interaction Jolene said left her feeling “intimidated” by the PT. Wyatt later apologised, but the tension clearly hadn’t disappeared.
Things boiled over when Wyatt heard that someone from Adam’s team had taken House Two’s diamond saw without asking. Adam denied knowing anything about it, jokingly describing his plumber as a “cheeky little bugger”, but Wyatt continued confronting him.
The argument quickly became about much more than the missing tool. Wyatt accused Adam and Jolene of “carrying on” about him, while Adam defended his wife, telling Wyatt: “Mate, you came in here and stood over her. She felt intimidated by you.” Wyatt eventually warned Adam to stop talking about him, prompting Adam to fire back: “Settle down, mate. F**king pinhead.” Yikes!
It was a fiery moment for Adam, who has otherwise largely been portrayed on the show as a loveable larrikin — quick with a joke or cheeky one-liners. But is there more to Adam than his edit?

Chattr spoke to Tayla and Rick, who shared that there was more to Adam than the larrikin persona being portrayed. “I just am not happy with Adam because — Dad still doesn’t see this because he’s got such a kind little sweetheart, big sweetheart — but Adam’s just been a little sly from day one, and Dad doesn’t see that,” Tayla admitted.
Rick did say that Adam and Jolene had a “sneaky” approach to the competition. “They come in with a game plan, and they’re there to win,” Rick said. “I think out of the whole five groups, Jolene had a strategy when she came onto the show… they played the game very well and a little bit sneaky.”
Tayla added that she believed Adam’s edit didn’t reflect her experience with him. “What I don’t get is Adam is also the funny, outgoing, crazy, does all silly things around the job site too. Why doesn’t he get slammed for not doing anything?” she asked.
“He does exactly what I do. He’s just the male version of what I’m doing.”
Rick claimed that Adam is being edited a certain way. “It’s the way they edit it,” added Rick. “You’re going to be the one that does no work throughout the show.”
For Courtney and Sev, they told Chattr that Adam was more “calculated” than meets the eye. “He’s a smiling assassin and he was sneaky… I said I need to get an Adam barrier put up,” Courtney said, referring to the Brisbane besties banning Adam from their work site.
“It was our house with the ‘No Adam’ signs, and then I handed out some pamphlets. He’s just always lurking. You look up, and then there’s Adam, and he’s actually incredibly competitive.”
Sev went on to say that Adam was “very calculated. I don’t think the screen really captures how smart Adam is. He is a very, very smart man”.
