After a dramatic season of The Block filled with tension, competition and plenty of fan debate, Courtney and Sev have come to the defence of fellow contestants Chantel and Wyatt.
The couple, who became close friends with Chantel and Wyatt during their time on the show, told Chattr exclusively that the pair were some of the “most beautiful people” they met throughout the competition.
While some viewers have questioned Chantel and Wyatt’s place on the show, the ladies defended the Queensland couple.
“Look, I’m not sure if they’re the most misunderstood or not, I’ve got no idea,” Courtney said.
“But I just think they’re the most beautiful people. Wyatt, he is just so funny, and Chantel is just so chill and relaxed.”
Courtney said the couple were exactly the same off-camera as they appeared on screen, describing them as genuine, supportive and kind-hearted.
“What you see is what you get. They’re just such good-natured people, and we just love spending time with them,” she said.
“We’re so glad we had them to do The Block with.”
The pair even joked about some of their memorable moments together during filming, including Wyatt’s attempts at cooking breakfast for the group.
“Wyatt cooked our beautiful breakfast each morning that tasted like glue,” Courtney laughed.
“We got health tips from them both that I should probably implement.”
According to Courtney, Chantel and Wyatt never got caught up in drama during the renovation — instead choosing to focus on their own journey.
“They never bitched about anyone. They just played their own game, did their own thing, and they were just really kind people,” she said.
“We’re so pleased that they’re only an hour up the road from us, so we can continue to support each other and have some fun.”
Courtney and Sev reveal Chantel and Wyatt were their biggest supporters
The friendship between the couples continued long after filming wrapped, with Chantel and Wyatt joining Courtney and Sev to watch the explosive finale.
Sev said the pair have become like family, revealing they already have plans for future catch-ups.
“We plan to ride our e-bikes on the beaches of the Gold Coast together — that’s our bonding moment,” Sev said.
She also praised Chantel and Wyatt for always having their backs throughout the competition. “They were always, always supportive of us, they never had anything bad to say about us,” Courtney added.
“They were here last night watching [the finale] and supporting us. It’s just one big beautiful family.”
Courtney also revealed Chantel was one of their biggest cheerleaders during the tense auction period, saying she was emotional after receiving positive news about her auction position.
“Chantel’s our biggest hype girl,” Courtney said.
“She had some tears and she felt a great sense of relief because her agent spoke to her and said, ‘I want to swap positions with the girls’ and she would have had to absorb that information that morning as well.”
Courtney said Chantel’s reaction came from feeling relieved and excited for what was ahead.
“I think she felt relieved and excited about her auction,” she said.
Despite the ups and downs of The Block, Courtney and Sev said their friendships from the show have been one of the biggest rewards — and Chantel and Wyatt remain firmly part of their post-show circle.
