  • Courtney and Sev dominated with six wins amid constant controversy.

  • Adam and Jolene emerged as strong contenders despite ongoing feuds.

  • Rick and Tayla secured a $50,000 reserve reduction ahead of the November 1 auction.

After 12 gruelling weeks of renovations, hectic feuds and plenty of controversy, The Block 2026 has finally picked a winner.

This season, five teams — Courtney and Sev, Adam and Jolene, Chantel and Wyatt, Lisa and Rosco, and Rick and Tayla — transformed luxury properties in Mount Eliza, Victoria, hoping to walk away with a life-changing payday.

The drama began over the auction order as the teams argued in circles before finally agreeing to just do the order corresponding to their house numbers — although Lisa was less than thrilled. However, the order shifted again after Chantel and Wyatt’s realtor advised that they should switch positions with Courtney and Sev.

At auction, the women soared forward by pocketing a $1,270,000, which combined with the prize money they won in the competition, makes them the biggest winners in The Block history.

Ahead of the finale, Courtney and Sev dominated the competition with six room-reveal victories, but their success came with a side of cheating allegations and drama. Meanwhile, Adam and Jolene emerged as serious contenders despite ongoing clashes with their neighbours, particularly Chantel and Wyatt.

Underdogs Rick and Tayla staged a last-minute comeback, winning Front Yard Week and securing a crucial $50,000 reduction to their auction reserve. With all five properties initially valued at a $3.45 million reserve, the competition came down to auction day when Australia’s ultimate renovation champions were crowned.

Adam and Jolene have been strong contenders throughout The Block 2026, impressing the judges with their luxurious designs and attention to detail. The couple secured several room wins, including Outdoor Terrace and Pool Week, and tied with Courtney and Sev for Backyard and Garage Week.

However, their journey wasn’t without drama, with ongoing clashes involving Chantel and Wyatt, disputes over shared spaces and growing frustrations with their rival teams

The auction kicked off with a lot of the competition already hitting well above reserve before skyrocketing to a sizable profit. After the winning bid was announced, the couple got emotional once they realised the money they’d be taking home to their family.

“It means everything — it means we don’t have to work remote [anymore],” Jolene told Scott Cam while wiping away tears.

However, their journey wasn’t without drama, with tensions boiling over during confrontations with Courtney and Sev over their behaviour. On a lighter note, Lisa found out she was pregnant while filming.

This auction was a slower start, with The Block fave Danny Wallis upping the bids. The new parents still had an impressive result, landing square on a $4 million bid, managing to get a higher profit than Adam and Jolene’s house.

Their biggest controversies involved ongoing feuds with Adam and Jolene, including disputes over dirty dishes, missing tools and protein powder — making them one of the season’s most divisive teams.

Chantel and Wyatt’s auction started with bids on the lower end of the spectrum, but the bids picked up before a new bidder brought the bids even higher as Danny Wallis staged a walkout.
