As The Block 2026 edges closer to auction day, fans aren’t just obsessing over the homes — they’re convinced they may have spotted a major celebrity checking one of them out.
According to Woman’s Day, eagle-eyed viewers believe actress Deborra-Lee Furness made a surprise appearance during a recent episode after a woman who looked remarkably like her was seen touring House 2 during the public inspections.
The blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment lasted only a few seconds, but it was enough to send fans into detective mode.
Taking to a The Block Facebook group, one viewer asked: “Did anyone notice Deborra-Lee Furness, Hugh Jackman’s ex wife?”
The theory quickly gained traction, with several fans claiming it really was the Australian actress.
“Yes it’s her, Deborra-Lee Furness did attend public open house events for The Block 2026,” one person commented.
Another added, “Yep, she was on the upper floor (balcony) of House 2 I think. Looking out. Camera zeroed in on her face.”
A third suggested the sighting wouldn’t be all that surprising, writing, “Her and Hugh were locals in Mt Eliza. Not sure if either still have property in or around Mt Eliza now though.”
Others even speculated she could return as a bidder when the homes go under the hammer this weekend.
“Perhaps she can scoop a few up this year. Wonder if Danny [Wallis] will be there. A bit high for even him I would think,” one fan joked.
Not everyone is convinced
While plenty of viewers were convinced they’d spotted the Aussie star, others weren’t buying it.
“No, not her, a local real estate agent that just happens to look like her,” one fan claimed.
Another agreed, writing, “No, that was a look alike. She would have been on camera if that was her.”
As Woman’s Day also reported, this isn’t the first time Deborra-Lee has been linked to The Block. Earlier this year, another fan claimed they spotted the actress having lunch in Mount Eliza while filming was underway.
“So I went shopping in Mt E at lunchtime. Keeping an eye out for any Block personalities. But no. Guess who I did see eating lunch though! Deborra-Lee Furness!! Yes, she is home for break, I guess,” they wrote in another fan group.
Another local replied, “She is a local, her mum was a Mt Eliza legend, loved by many. Please respect her privacy.”
There’s been no confirmation that the woman seen during the episode was actually Deborra-Lee, but it hasn’t stopped fans from wondering whether the actress really did drop by to check out this year’s homes.
