Former The Bachelor star and Life Uncut podcaster Brittany Hockley has some seriously exciting news: she’s expecting her first child with husband Benjamin Siegrist.
The 39-year-old announced the pregnancy alongside her Swiss footballer husband, 34, in a sweet Instagram post on Tuesday, marking a very cute new chapter for the couple.
In the adorable video, Brittany and Benjamin cuddled up together, with the footballer lovingly cradling his wife’s growing bump.
And, naturally, they already have a nickname for their incoming little one.
“Can’t believe we are saying this, but it’s time for the next chapter… Baby squid is on its way!” the caption alongside the sweet clip reads.
Honestly, Baby Squid has arrived before even making their grand entrance.
The couple was quickly flooded with congratulations from their famous friends and fans, with plenty of familiar faces jumping into the comments.
“I am crying, and not just saying I’m crying, THIS ACTUALLY MADE ME CRY! Congrats you two,” Paralympian Ellie Cole wrote.
“OMG OMG THIS IS THE BEST. Congratulations,” fellow Bachelor star Holly Nicholson posted.
Rebel Wilson’s wife, Ramona Agruma-Wilson, also shared her excitement for the couple, writing: “Congratulations!”
“Yes! So happy for you guys. Cute baby incoming,” Bachelor star Jimmy Nicholson added.
Brittany previously opened up about her fertility struggles
The happy announcement comes after Brittany addressed questions and criticism surrounding her decision to remain childfree following her marriage.
At the time, the podcaster had been sharing snippets of her glamorous lifestyle online, travelling around the world with her new husband and documenting their adventures in Europe and other far-flung destinations.
One Instagram reel showed the genetically-blessed couple enjoying their jet-setting lifestyle, alongside the text: “I’m 38. Married. Travel the world. No kids,” which prompted questions about why they hadn’t started a family.
Brittany addressed the speculation in a heartbreaking social media post in July, revealing that infertility was behind their struggle to conceive.
“Every day I get asked why I don’t have kids, or if I am having them. That I am missing out. To that I say, I can’t fall pregnant,” she wrote.
Brittany continued in her caption: “It’s not for lack of trying, trust me. No harm is ever meant when people ask, I know that. And my answer might sound blunt.
“But we haven’t been able to fall pregnant. This is just the truth of it.
“And anyone that struggles with infertility knows, it consumes your life and your thoughts. Because I also wonder when and if we will have kids. It truly is exhausting.
“So anyone going through it, I get it. I get you. I feel you. There’s a lot of us!”
Now, after sharing that incredibly personal insight into their fertility journey, Brittany and Benjamin have revealed that their long-awaited baby is finally on the way.
Brittany and Benjamin’s new life in Italy
The couple tied the knot in a lavish Balinese ceremony in June 2025 after falling in love.
More recently, Brittany revealed that she was making another major life change, announcing that she would be relocating to Italy to live with Benjamin.
She confirmed the news in December while speaking to her Life Uncut co-host Laura Byrne, explaining that the move was necessary so she and Benjamin could spend more quality time together after attempting to make their long-distance relationship work.
And now, with Baby Squid officially on the way, it looks like their Italian chapter is about to get a whole lot more exciting.
