Former The Bachelor star and Life Uncut podcast host Brittany Hockley has made a shock admission on social media. In 2025, the media personality bought a $2.4 million house on the Gold Coast with her husband Ben Siegrist, on their wedding night.
While she shared photos with her followers, the star has now revealed it was never meant to be made public, and originally hoped to use it for personal use.
“I paid a lot of money for it, kept it a secret, tried to have complete privacy, and then I couldn’t move in,” she wrote on her Instagram Story.
“I started getting multiple DM’s from strangers all over [the world including France] telling me they know where I live.”
Brittany alleged that somebody from the real estate company shared her name and address, to tell people she would be moving in.
“One woman told me because she said it didn’t feel right receiving that call and that I should know,” she added. “Unfortunately, because my husband lives overseas and everyone knows that, strangers would now know I would be alone, my full name and exact full address.”
After finding out that people knew she had purchased the Gold Coast property, Brittany decided it would not be safe to live there.
“I’ve had people break into my home before and have had people threaten me with abhorrent things [so] I simply didn’t feel safe moving in,” she told her followers.
“It was then that I shared it [on social media] so I could rent it out. Really was such a breach of privacy and I don’t understand how anyone is allowed to do this.”

After Brittany and her husband decided to rent the house out, she shared images with her followers.
“Married and a house this past month, what a time! (We actually bought this on our wedding night … must have been feeling the good vibes and/or had a few too many cocktails),” she said.
A Domain listing shows the property was purchased for $2,430,000 and it’s situated in Mermaid Waters, Queensland.
It’s a Palm-Springs-inspired property, with five bedrooms, three bathrooms and a heated lagoon outdoor pool.
