There have been many rivalries on My Kitchen Rules (MKR) 2026, but perhaps one of the fiercest is the feud brewing between Adelaide besties Angus and Simon and NSW’s Zac and Zoe.
What started as a disagreement over the great pescatarian debate escalated to a season-long bust-up that’s bound to leave viewers gagged.
Speaking exclusively to Chattr, Angus and Simon took aim at their MKR rivals and… they did not hold back.
MKR’s Angus and Simon share savage theory about Zoe
One of the most controversial topics of the season has been whether or not a pescatarian should sign up for My Kitchen Rules, as Zoe was unable to taste several meat dishes as a result of only eating fish, seafood and vegetables.

Given that Angus and Simon were some of Zoe’s harshest critics on the show, we asked if they stand by their stance.
“Look, I’ve got no problem with a pescatarian being on there, but I don’t think a pescatarian should have applied in the first place,” Angus said.
“Because, well… I’ll change that. Sorry, I don’t think Zoe should have applied in the first place. Because I don’t really believe her story that she wanted to showcase pescatarian cooking. I believe that she just wanted to go on a big holiday and have a great time. Because she didn’t contribute, so to me that says ‘I don’t really care about food. I just am here for the experience’, which irks me.”
He added, “She didn’t touch the food, she didn’t smell the food, she didn’t comment on the food. That’s a dietary choice. She was hiding behind that and not participating because I don’t think she even liked food, she just wanted to travel around Australia.”
Angus and Simon dispute Zoe’s claim on MKR 2026
Elsewhere in the interview, the mates refuted a few allegations their co-stars have recently made in the media. The first being Jane’s assertion that she had a bad edit, and the other being a recount of tonight’s episode by Zoe.
“I did see something, Zoe made a claim that people at the table wanted to force meat down her throat, which is totally false. There was a comment where I think Harrison said, ‘Why don’t you get your plate up near your face and sniff the food’, but that turned into ‘force the food down your throat’,” Angus told Chattr exclusively.

The lads went on to reveal that the moment occurs in tonight’s episode during Krysten and Lucy’s second Instant Restaurant.
Guess we’ll see how it all turns out tonight!
