The Block 2026 viewers have rallied behind Cellar Creations after the family business was targeted with a wave of fake Google reviews following the latest explosive drama.
The company, which created the custom wine cellar featured in Courtney and Sev’s home, became caught in the crossfire after fans lashed out over the controversial cellar installation.
However, rather than directing their frustration at the contestants or the show itself, some viewers took aim at the business, flooding its Google page with one-star reviews from people who had never used its services.
Fortunately, many of those reviews have since disappeared, with one Reddit user noting: “There were heaps of Google reviews last night. They’ve now all been removed.”
The Block fans slam review-bombing campaign
While viewers have been fiercely divided over the drama on-screen, there was far less disagreement when it came to the treatment of Cellar Creations.
Many fans condemned the fake reviews, arguing that a small family business shouldn’t be punished over the events of a reality TV show.
“People should have their Google accounts banned or restricted for performing such actions,” one person wrote. “Creating fraudulent reviews can be damaging in many ways. It’s very petty.”
Another added, “People are so gross. Just because you don’t agree with something you saw on a reality TV show doesn’t give you the right to attack this business. They did nothing wrong.”

Others described the campaign as “vile behaviour”, while another questioned, “Who would get that upset about a rigged reality show? His wine racks looked awesome”.
Many also worried about the broader impact on businesses considering future collaborations with The Block.
“That’s just going to stop other brands wanting to work with The Block in future because people think they can leave false reviews to hurt a business over a TV show,” one viewer wrote.
Another praised the company’s craftsmanship, saying, “That’s one hardworking man who creates beautiful wine racks. To try to ruin someone’s livelihood like this is just awful.”
Others echoed similar sentiments, writing, “Fake Google reviews are a major flaw in the human race,” while another added, “Too many people are way too invested in this show.”
Cellar Creations responds to the backlash
Cellar Creations director Robert Rolls exclusively told Chattr that while the past week had been difficult, the overwhelming support from strangers had not gone unnoticed.
“We are a small family business on the Mornington Peninsula and we’ve been building wine cellars, bespoke joinery and custom homes for clients for more than 30 years,” he said.
“The reviews and comments of the past week have not come from people who have worked with us.
“We have been struck by the number of strangers who have said so publicly on our behalf and we are grateful for it.
“Our focus is on our team, our clients and on the work in front of us.”

The company also addressed viewers directly on Reddit, thanking those who had supported its work while acknowledging the conversation surrounding its appearance on The Block.
“We’ve seen all your comments and discussions — positive and negative,” the business wrote.
“We’re a local business in Mornington with more than 30 years of building experience and we’ve loved the opportunity to share our work with more people.”
The team also invited viewers interested in seeing more of its craftsmanship to follow its behind-the-scenes YouTube series documenting both its time on The Block and its other projects.
While the on-screen drama continues to divide viewers, many fans seem to agree on one thing: small businesses shouldn’t become collateral damage in reality TV controversies.
The Block airs Sunday – Wednesday on Channel 9 and 9Now.
