The game of My Kitchen Rules (MKR) is a great place to make friends and an even greater place to make enemies, but more than anything, it is a competition — so any alliances formed go out the window when you’ve got your eyes on the 100K prize.
Speaking exclusively to Chattr, Adelaide besties Angus and Simon revealed which contestants they’re still mates with, who they hope to never see again and explained why neither really mattered when it came down to the most important thing: climbing the leaderboard!
They also give us the tip-off on an incoming “explosion” and it sounds like more drama awaits us…
MKR’s Angus and Simon were on the outs with everyone
Think MKR has been bonkers thus far? Well just wait, because apparently there are more “explosions” to come!
In an exclusive interview with Chattr, the lads revealed what causes the upcoming drama.

“We sort of ran out of friends. We stopped trying to make friends, and we started taking the competition pretty seriously,” Angus teased.
“Which means there was no time for friendliness anymore, you don’t see many smiles on our faces at one point, we get a bit sadder. A bit more assertive about trying to win $100,000, I think.”
Angus and Simon tease an upcoming ‘explosion’
To get us even more intrigued, the mates revealed that the incoming bust-up is unlike anything Simon has seen of Angus.
“There’ll be some more explosions, that’s for sure,” Angus added.
“I think I genuinely lose my temper which doesn’t happen often.”
Simon then shared: “I’ve known Angus for a very long time and I’ve never seen him lose his temper like he did on this show. It’ll be pretty interesting!”
“Get the popcorn!” he added. “Get the boxing gloves as well.”
Which teams they still speak to and which they hope to never see again?
Now that the competition is done and dusted, Angus and Simon have walked away with a few friends they still speak to.
But sadly, there’s no love lost for one particular team who they hope to never see again.
“We’re still really good friends with Krysten and Lucy, we’ve got a lot of time for them — they’re just the salt of the earth. Lovely girls. And I talk to Mary a bit, I just think she’s really funny,” Angus said, with Simon adding: “I think those would be the standouts.”

Angus then said: “Look, really and truly, if I didn’t see Zoe and Zac again, my life would be if not the same, it would probably be better. A better version of life. It’s like going through something really challenging and going ‘Wow, I don’t ever want to do that again!'”
They may mince beef in the kitchen, but they certainly don’t mince words, that’s for sure!
