Australian Idol has found its top three contenders for the Idol crown, after a judge favourite was eliminated from the competition.
During the March 20 episode of the show, it was a bittersweet night as we said goodbye to three contestants.
The Top Six opened the semi-finals with a killer performance of I Feel Good by David Guetta FT Bebe Rexha before hosts Ricki-Lee, and Scott Tweedie announced that each contestant would sing again before finding out who was headed to the Grand Finale on March 26.

23-year-old Royston Sagigi-Baira was first on stage, performing the power ballad I Want To Know What Love is by Foreigner.
Judge Kyle Sandilands said that Royston has “shone like a bright sun on this stage”, while Meghan Trainor said he “slayed every day”.
Next up was 19-year-old Anya Hynninen, who performed It’s a Man’s Man’s World by James Brown.
Meghan said the song was “the perfect song choice” and called Anya “badass” while Amy Shark said the singer had an “edge” and “super swag”.
Following the performances, Ricki-Lee revealed that Royston was headed to the Grand Finale.
“I can’t believe this. This is crazy!” he said. “This is a testament [to the fact] that no matter where you come from, as long as you work hard, you can follow your dreams and they can come true.”

Phoebe Stewart became the next Grand Finalist
Rocker Ben Sheehy was next to perform, taking on the Joe Cocker classic The Letter before 15-year-old PhoebeStewart hit the stage with a moving performance of Lost Without You by Freya Ridings.
Amy said Ben had “something so weird about you, but weird is a good thing” and “everything about you draws people in”, while Harry Connick Jr said the performance was “cool” and said he should create an album called “Ben’s Lasts Notes“.
Critiquing Phoebe’s performance, Harry said that Phoebe “checked every single box,” while Kyle called her a “beautiful vocalist” that sounded like “heaven”.
Following this, Ricki-Lee announced that Phoebe had become the next contestant to move onto the Top Three.
“Thank you everyone for taking the time out of your life to appreciate music, the show and me. And I’m really happy I’m here. Thank you,” she said, fighting back tears.

After the ad break, Amy performed her new hit High On You with Sam Fischer.
Josh Hannan beat out Amali Dimond for the final spot in the Top Three
20-year-old Josh Hannan and 16-year-old Amali Dimond were the last to perform.
Josh performed Can’t Help Falling In Love by Elvis Presley while Amali nailed Demi Lovato’sWarrior.
Kyle praised Josh’s song choice, calling him “a true star”, while also adding that he had a “red hot rocket chance” of winning.
Meghan said she “died” three times throughout the performance while lamenting that she didn’t like that the final spot would go to either him or Amali.
Meghan was at first lost for words before saying “You are a star!”.
“You’re just ready,” she added.
Amy said Amali was “beyond” just singing and had “star quality” and consistency.
Kyle said that Calvin Harris’ tour manager was interested in her.

Ricki-Lee then announced Josh as the third and final singer to perform in Sunday’s Grand Finale.
“It’s a bit emotional,” said Josh. “Everyone who voted for me. It is an absolute dream for me to be here.”
The judges told Amali that she was going to be a star, with Harry saying that she could “do anything” in the “showbiz world”.
Australian Idol Top Three
The winner of Australian Idol will receive a recording contract with industry giant Sony Music and $100,000 in prize money.
The Australian Idol Grand Finale will air on Sunday, March 26 at 7.00 pm on Channel 7 and 7plus.
It’s Homestay Week, i.e. when our Married at First SightAustralia 2023 couples pray to the reality TV God’s that they can pass this final hurdle to savage one another at Final Vows.
The six remaining couples are headed off on an adventure to help them “make the hardest decision of their lives”, although for episode 30, we will focus purely on Alyssa and Duncan, Lyndall and Cameron and Rupert and Evelyn.
While seeing them all in their element will be nice, we know the real reason for the ep split. If we focused on everyone, everywhere, all at once, it would surely turn into the “Bronte and Harrison (s**t) show”.
Tahnee and Ollie are perfect, although Ollie is still struggling from the Commitment Ceremony
Over in Tahnee and Ollie’s room, the pair reflect on their surprisingly emotional couch session.
In case you missed it, Ollie revealed that his insecurities were triggered by his bae spending time with Rupert in the Partner Swap Challenge.
While it was tough for this year’s youngest male participant, Ollie’s display of vulnerability won over Tahnee’s heart while also earning him the respect of the other couples.
Tahnee and Ollie. Source: Nine.
Meanwhile, in hell… Bronte and Harrison — the show’s most unhinged couple — talk about the fact that they decided to “stay”.
“We own our s**t,” Bronte says before adding that they “fight and disagree”, but they “come back together” because they want to.
“To have people still question me….” Bronte says, “Harrison says it a lot. It’s deflection and projection.” No, it’s not, past Bronte. Please wait until you’ve watched it back…
Harrison, who once again has no boundaries, mocks Evelyn for calling him out on the couch and delivers this truly f**ked one-liner: “Not all kings wear crowns, some wear backwards hats.” FMAL.
Homestays begin… sort of…
While Melinda and Layton seem to be having zero fights this morning, the same couldn’t be said for Alyssa and Duncan, who haven’t even started packing. The couple is still processing the night before when Duncan opened up about his worst day during the experiment.
“I just feel hurt,” Alyssa tells him. “You were crying? It’s like I’m not getting all of you.”
Duncan stares at his wife in disbelief (see below), saying that it feels like Alyssa was hurt because he was hurt, and now our heads hurt…because it’s A LOT.
“Huh?”. Source: Nine.
“How is that encouraging me to share my emotions,” he asks her. Spoiler alert. It’s not and he deserves way better…
Alyssa says she’s not hurt by what he said; it’s more she’s hurt because he wouldn’t share said emotions… and does anyone else feel like this conversation is just going around in circles?!
“Don’t throw this on me,” she says. “That’s a dig at me…” and then, in the most passo agresso tone: “We should probably start packing!” Christ on a stick.
OK, now Homestay Week has officially begun!
Firstly, Harrison and Bronte both have white bed sheets. Cool.
Then, it’s time for Cam and Lyndall’s portion of the episode and Cam is finally back in the place he loves the most. Darwin.
But before heading home, the pair detours, and the show’s real star arrives. Bodie.
Bodie. Source: Nine.
Just look at this good boy!
He’s so heppy! Source: Nine.
The pair arrive at Cam’s home, and Lyndall meets his flatmates, Cal and Kate. Unfortunately, Lyndall’s name doesn’t start with a “kuh”; if this isn’t foreshadowing, we don’t know what is!
“I hope you’re not a Vegan,” Cal says before truly throwing his mate under the bus.
“It’s definitely not the first girl he’s bought a girl home.” LOL, and this, my friends, is why Homestays are the best stays.
“First relationship he’s been in, yeh.”
Cal for the next Bachelor!
Cal. Source: Nine.
Cam then shows Lyndall his stunning collection of… fishing rods and says something like, “don’t piss me off or I’ll feed you to the crocs”…
Meanwhile, at Duncan and Alyssa’s homestay…
At Duncan’s home on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, he is rudely interrupted during a piece to camera by Alyssa’s yelling. Apparently, it took Alyssa only 18 minutes to get to his house, which would be nice if they were actually good for each other…
Since neither has to travel very far, we see both worlds in one episode. Unfortunately, this means that Duncan is about to be fed to the wolves within the hour. A.K.A by women from Alyssa’s mother’s group.
According to Alyssa, her friends Natalie and Nadia already know everything that happened between the pair and grill him immediately.
“It’s OK if it’s a concern,” Alyssa tells him when the topic of her child is brought up again.
“I’ve said this twenty times,” he says, unsure how else he can spell it out. He’s FINE with it.
“Nothing you say will appease me, Duncan.” Source: Nine.
Now with backup, Alyssa drops the bombshell of how much she can see him outside the experiment. Never.
“On Wednesdays and every other weekend,” she tells him, making Duncan question whether she even likes him.
Evelyn and Rupert’s Homestay begins
Rupert joins Evelyn in Sydney’s CBD… which is probably about a two minutes walk from Sky Suites… and here we met the next two stars of the show — Mustard and Pickles.
CUTE! Source: Nine.
Rupert sets up a home-date — paint and sip — and even has the wine from their honeymoon. I don’t know when this couple became one of our favourites, but this is truly CUTE AF.
Evelyn is shocked to hear that Rupert has a three-year plan but is giddy by the revelation, and the couple even has a little kiss…
Source: Nine.
And then some…
Rupert is officially out of the friend zone, people!!!
Alyssa meets Duncan’s side of the family
After spending the night with her son, Alyssa meets Duncan’s sister Renee…and she’s STUNNING. This family has some GREAT genes…
Duncan’s sister, Renee. Source: Nine.
Even though Renee is there to get to know Alyssa, she raises concerns about her child again.
Renee defends her brother, saying that she hopes “in time” that they will be a “family unit” before both realise Duncan hasn’t spoken the entire time.
Alyssa then says she has to leave and pick up her child, calling it a “real-life scenario”, leaving Duncan and Renee to discuss Alyssa’s bombshell.
Meanwhile, back in Darwin…
Lyndall meets Andy — a mate of Cam’s and they go and kiss fish, or feed them out of their mouths or whatever, and I have a phobia of fish so this is gross…
“First kiss I’ve gotten all week,” Lyndall jokes. FORESHADOWING!
Then, the group sit down and have a lovely bbq. JOKES. They do not.
The mood has suddenly turned for Lyndall and Cam, who sneak into a shed for a private chat.
“Why the f**k are we together if you don’t even want to kiss me like…ever,” Lyndall says, adding that it doesn’t “feel right”.
Appaz Lyndall tried to kiss Cam in the water, and he rejected her.
Source: Nine.
In zero shock to anyone, Cam can’t understand why Lyndall is so upset and cannot validate her very normal feelings, calling it “ridiculous”.
“I just feel like I’m hanging out with a mate,” she says.
The pair then fight in front of his mate Luke (who tf is that), who is surprised by their issues.
Alyssa and Duncan can’t find a middle ground…out on Sydney’s harbour
Duncan takes Alyssa out on Sydney Harbour; and seriously, this man could not get any better.
Source: Nine.
He then makes the mistake of turning the conversation into airing his concerns, including what he’d learned during Homestays.
Alyssa is confused by his questions as she thinks they’ve had a good relationship. She is also devastated because she was going to tell Duncan that she was falling in love with him… which is confusing and not at all how we thought this would play out.
The pair end the date in separate areas on the boat, sitting silently.
And that’s what you missed…

It’s a superstar line-up of judges for The Voice Australia 2023!
On March 19, Seven announced that a MEGA STAR was joining the judging panel — Jason Derulo! And if you didn’t sing his name the way he would, are you really a fan?!
Derulo will join existing judges Jessica Mauboy, Rita Ora and Guy Sebastian, with the Talk Dirty singer replacing country singer Keith Urban.
Host Sonia Krugeris also set to return to The Voice stage.

“I’ve always loved The Voice and Australia happens to be one of my favourite places in the world,” Derulo said in a statement. “I can’t wait to hear all the amazing talent down under!”
Seven’s Chief Content Officer, Entertainment Programming, Angus Ross, said: “Jason is a sensational addition to our line-up of superstar coaches Jess, Rita and Guy, and we can’t wait to see who they turn their iconic red chairs for this season.”
Everything you need to know about Jason Derulo

While millennials know 33-year-old Derulo for his chart-topping hits such as Talk Dirty, Ridin’ Solo, Whatcha Say, Take You Dancing and Savage Love, he’s most recently had a resurgence on TikTok, with 57 million followers!
He has also sold more than 250 million singles worldwide and has teased that a fifth studio album is on the way. His first in eight years.
The Voice was one of Australia’s most-watched entertainment shows in 2022, with 1.39 million viewers nationally!
The Voice Australia 2023 will premieres later this year on Channel 7 and 7plus.
The tables were turned during Australian Idol 2023 on March 19 as the viewers were in the driver’s seat, determining the hits the Top 6 would perform.
With the Grand Finale looming on Sunday, March 26, Queenslander Ben Sheehy, 24, was tasked with singing (I Can’t Get No)Satisfaction by The Rolling Stones.
Idol judge Amy Shark praised his vocal but was disappointed by the arrangement, saying it sounded like a Stones’ cover band; while Harry Connick Jr said he was comfortable in his “zone”.
Meanwhile, even though Kyle Sandilands previously said “rock was dead”, he conceded that Ben may just be ”the guy that revived rock music”.
Then 15-year-old Phoebe Stewart performed Birdy’sPeople Help the People.
Harry applauded her by saying she was “fantastic as always”, saying she had gone from a “wide-eyed little girl” to a confident performer with a mature sound.
Kyle said she could take the whole competition, while Phoebe admitted she didn’t get nervous before a performance! Amazing!
Following Phoebe’s performance, Harry was tasked with doing a shoey.
“I’m from Louisiana. We suck crawfish heads,” he said. “So, drinking ginger beer out of a shoe is not that adventurous!”
He then “upped the ante” by doing a “TimTam shoey slam”! LEGEND!
Harry Connick Jr. Source: 7
Amali Dimond performed next with the 16-year-old taking on Fly Away by Tones and I.
“Sign me up, I’m a Dimond Diva,” Kyle said. “You are a star as far as I’m concerned.”
While Harry loved Amali for using her artistry to change the arrangement, he did suggest that she try something more “stripped back” for the next performance.
Kyle disagreed with Harry, asking why an artist would change their signature style at this stage in the competition and Harry argued he wasn’t saying to change the musicality, just the presentation.
Idol judge Meghan Trainor was asked by viewers what gender her baby was; however, she declined to give an answer, while Amy was asked how she got her stage name.
Josh Hannan was told he had a “real shot” of winning Australian Idol
Performing Olivia Rodrigo’sDriver’s License, Harry said Australia had made a great song choice, calling it a “strong performance”.
Kyle finally agreed with Harry, saying he had a “real shot” at winning the competition.
Next up was Anya Hynninen. The 19-year-old performed Flowers by Miley Cyrus, with Amy complimenting her growing strength; however, Harry said he wanted to see more of her artistry, saying she could “take or leave” the advice.
Kyle, once again, disagreed with Harry and said it was a “competition” and wasn’t about “showing off”. He lamented that an audience wanted to be able to sing along and that Anya should “sing to win”.
Idol judge Meghan Trainor acknowledged Anya had one of the hardest songs tonight, given it is so popular and said she felt like she was “trapped”.
Then, in the biggest twist of the night, the judges revealed that they wouldn’t be saving an artist from the public vote: it was now Australia’s turn to decide.
Australian Idol airs 7.00 pm Sunday and 7.30 pm Mondays on Channel 7 and 7plus.
Christ on a bike! We’ve made it. It’s the final Commitment Ceremony of Married at First SightAustralia 2023 a.k.a episode 29!
If you can believe it, it’s been eight long weeks since the experiment began, and out of 12 OG and intruder couples, only SIX have made it to this point.
It’s been an intense week with a Couple Swap, a chaotic Dinner Party, and Bronte finally seeing the light; and frankly, everyone is f**king T.I.R.E.D.
After the sh**t show that was the second-last meal, most of the couples are at breaking point. Except for Tahnee and Ollie because they are perfect…
Couples perfection. Tahnee and Ollie. Source: Nine.
Instead of focusing on their own issues, the other participants focus on the fact that Bronte and her idiot husband, Harrison, will be leaving the experiment after his remarks at the din dins. However, knowing ol’ mate, it will all be like “psych! we were joking!”
For Lyndall and Cameron, it has been a challenging morning. Since the DIDO carpenter admitted he doesn’t get reception when working and his inability to compromise, they are basically f**ked.
Meanwhile, Alyssa reveals that she’s “grilled” every single time she sits on the couch, and so she’s “not looking forward to it” and imagine how Duncan feels, girl!
Down the hall, Melinda and Layton are still unable to resolve their issues after Mel stormed out of ye olde Dinner Partae. After returning from the said MAFS family affair, the pair were in a stalemate and didn’t speak.
Then, before the Ceremony, they decided to reunite to talk things out and the Bride began to “question whether it was ever going to work”.
“I’m losing hope,” she says. Sad face.
Finally, it’s time for the final Commitment Ceremony, a.k.a Expert John‘s chance to blast Harrison one last time….
Melinda and Layton
Melinda and Layton. Source: Nine
Hoooo boy. These guys needed to break up eight weeks ago — which is sad because they’re actually pretty cute together when they’re not counting down the days between arguments.
Melinda pours her heart out in front of the Experts, reminiscing about the time when she first refused to take part in the Couple Swap with Layton joining her in solidarity before she changed her mind and had a sort of OK time with Harrison…
The Bride was frustrated because LayLay couldn’t see her point of view, and Expert John called him out for trying to control everything.
He then forced the Groom to realise that he needs to let his guard down and really “hear” what his wife has been banging on about all season.
Layton’s decision: Stay (“with two ‘x’s'”)
Melinda’s decision: Stay (“with ‘xoxo'”)
Tahnee and Ollie
Ollie and Tahnee. Source: Nine.
Simply put, to me, they are perfect.
However, for the first time on the couch, a teeny tiny little crack appeared when Ollie admits he felt insecure when Tahnee hung out with Rupert for three days. He then admitted he often doesn’t feel good enough in life, which is absolutely an abomination since he is a perfect human specimen!
Tahnee then reassures him by saying he’s more than good enough, and in the words of Fix You by Coldplay, “Tearssss stream down (y)our face…”.
The couple realise that they need to vocalise their feelings rather than just showing it in other ways and Expert John commends Ollie for being “brave” and “vulnerable”.
Tahnee’s decision: Stay
Ollie’s decision: Stay
Rupert and Evelyn
Rupert and Evelyn. Source: Nine.
There’s three people in Rupert and Evelyn’s relationship. Rupert, Evelyn and… Harrison.
Instead of discussing their own romantic pairing, Evelyn decides to rip Harry a new one, pulling him up on his meddlesome ways.
“Harrison, I think everyone can agree you’ve made comments about everyone on this couch in regards to their relationship,” she said before he defended himself like a five-year-old and said that “everyone made comments about US”.
After Evelyn interjects, he says: “That’s what you signed up for, love…” And no, no, no, no, NO.
Harrison. Source: Nine
Melinda then pipes up to call out Har…— we don’t even want to say his name anymore — that guy for “bullying” and Lyndall joins in before he says: “Give it a rest!”
“You enjoy this,” Evelyn then says. “I really do think you enjoy this.”
“You’re a grown man talking to females. Have some respect,” Melinda says before that guy up there ^ interrupts and says: “Oh, don’t play the sex card. Grow up!”. AND BRO. Please.
Evelyn then calls his behaviour “hurtful”.
When Expert Mel decides she’s had enough of hearing the “H word”, she pulls Evelyn and Rupert back to what they’re here for. Each other.
Evelyn then admits that she’d like to be “courted” by Rupert more….like she is in the 1940s.
Evelyn’s decision: Stay
Rupert’s decision: Stay
After the decision, Evelyn had some choice words for the man who does not deserve a name.
OOFT. Source: Nine.
Lyndall and Cameron
Cameron and Lyndall. Source: Nine.
Lyndall and Cameron are the next to sit on the couch of doom, and while we already know how their story ends, the Experts wanna hear all the juicy details of the week.
Because he only communicates in one way, Cameron is adamant that he can’t give up his work commitments for love, meaning Lyndall will have to be the one to compromise.
Lyndall shares how she is feeling and says it’s a lot Cameron is asking of her. She then admits that she’s scared of bringing up the future, i.e. making it IRL official, because of how she thinks, nay, knows he’s going to react.
Cam says he just sees things in “black and white”, which is disappointing because the world is 100% in technicolour, but also acknowledges that he can change how he speaks.
Cameron’s decision: Stay
Lyndall’s decision: Stay
Duncan and Alyssa
Duncan and Alyssa. Source: Nine.
Honestly, we wince every time Alyssa interacts with Prince Charming Duncan.
Duncan reveals how broken he was when Alyssa got up and left the experiment for a few days after the Couple Swap and the fact that she refuses to hear ANYTHING he is saying.
She then says she feels “blindsided” by the revelation because appaz he never told her how he was feeling.
Firstly, this is not only confusing but concerning, and secondly, someone needs to turn their listening ears on!
Duncan’s decision: Stay
Alyssa’s decision: Stay
Bronte and Harrison That Guy
That guy and Bronte. Source: Nine.
Give us strength! Should we really have to recap this part? To absolutely no surprise, That Guy and Bronte both decide to stay. The end.
The H word — who truly has no concept of reality — reveals that he had to put boundaries to “hold Bronte accountable” for HER behaviour. Honestly, we are so f**ked off by this man, we have zero tolerance for him anymore.
Apparently, he is annoyed that she talks poorly about him… and gets upset… and expresses that she ain’t putting up with toxic BS… and is living… that that he has had to put in “boundaries”. And Okkkk, bro.
After he’s questioned by Expert Mel if the same “boundaries” are put in place on his end, he lies out of his ass and says “absolutely”.
Bronte then says that Lyndall told her that her own husband had called her a “gaslighter” and “fake” before Melinda — his former arch nemesis turned couple swap partner — asks him if it’s true.
“I do not recall. Maybe? I dunno. Maybe I said it and am now saving myself,” he says. Well, he didn’t, but WE wish he’d take some accountability for his truly heinous behaviour.
Melinda, who does not want a bar of him today, calls him out. Again.
As per our previous email, the couple chooses to stay — which is toxic goddamn sh**, in our opinion and the rest of the participants give ’em hell…which causes That Guy to pipe up and fight back.
Bronte’s decision: Stay
Harrison’s That Guy’s decision: Stay
SMDH just like Expert John… and Tahnee, whose reaction is all of us at this point.

If there’s one thing we love more than drama on Married at First Sight Australia, it’s whether the couples are still together, and this time, we’re putting the spotlight on Cameron “Cam” Woods and Lyndall Grace.
At the time of publication, Lyndall was left devastated by Cam’s admission that he not only works drive-in-drive-out (DIDO), but can also be stationed in such remote areas of Darwin that he has zero reception.
Not only that, during the sixth curseddinner party, the 27-year-old carpenter announced that some of his jobs in Indigenous communities take him away for up to a year! A WHOLE YEAR!
Lyndall and Cameron. Source: Nine.
While their relationship started strong, they have had their fair share of ups and downs, and now, as the Daily Mail reports, it seems the couple is not only donezo, but they aren’t even on speaking terms!
“The lines of communication broke down completely,” an insider told the publication before adding that they “limped” towards the final vows.
“Lyndall lets Cam have it during the final vows, and he was not impressed with her one bit.”
According to the source, Lyndall does not “hold back and completely savages the poor guy”.
“He was completely dumbfounded by it,” they said.
This isn’t very surprising given what the couple have been through in the experiment, including Cam’s mum calling Lyndall “insecure” and Lyndall seeing the light after spending time with the perfect specimen, Ollie Skelton during the Partner Swap.

The film follows a young Irish boy named Keegan (Sam Hardy), who’s been at a heart loss after his grandfather (Pierce Brosnan) – a well-known dancer – had passed away.

But after landing on the wrong side of Ireland, she must enlist the help of the handsome and carefree local Declan (Matthew Goode) to get her across the country. Along the way, they discover that the road to love can take you to very unexpected places.
Sing Street (2016)
Where to watch: Stan and Prime VideoType: Coming of age/musical drama
Set in 1980s Dublin — the era of synth beats, tight jeans, and the infectious allure of rebellion — the vibrant landscape is home to Sing Street, an inspiring tale of young love.
The film is about a boy growing up in Dublin during the 1980s who escapes his strained family life by starting a band to impress the mysterious girl he likes.
With the recession hitting people hard in Dublin, 14-year-old Conor’s (Ferdia Walsh-Peelo) father Robert (Aidan Gillen) moves him from his private school to a tough inner-city alternative.
When best friends Jackie O’Shea (Ian Bannen) and Michael O’Sullivan (David Kelly) discover someone in their small Irish village has won the lottery, they immediately set off to see if the winner is in a sharing mood.
Deducing that Ned Devine is the lucky man, O’Shea and O’Sullivan pay him a visit, only to find him dead from shock. Since Devine is the only one who can claim the prize, the townsfolk band together to convince the claim inspector that O’Sullivan is really Devine and split the cash.
In this Academy-award-winning film, young Irish immigrant Eilis Lace (Saoirse Ronan) navigates through 1950s Brooklyn.
Lured by the promise of America, Eilis departs Ireland and the comfort of her mother’s home for the shores of New York City.
The initial shackles of homesickness quickly diminish as a fresh romance sweeps Eilis into the intoxicating charm of love. But soon, her past disrupts her new vivacity, and Eilis must choose between two countries and the lives that exist within.
After much anticipation, the first episode of season three’s Ted Lasso has been and gone, and fans have a wild(e) theory that involves Harry Styles.
In case you missed it: Styles began dating Olivia Wilde during the filming of Don’t Worry, Darling, and as the story goes, it was at the same time she was engaged to Lasso star Jason Sudeikis.
Messy headlines gripped the world of pop culture as more and more details came out thanks to the former couple’s nanny spilling piping hot tea and Sudeikis serving Wilde legal papers while she was on stage presenting at CinemaCon in April 2022.
Fast forward to March 2023, and it seems Sudeikis has subtly shaded his ex through his highly acclaimed and Emmy Award-winning TV show.

What happened during episode one of season three’s Ted Lasso
During the first ep, we saw Ted grappling with his son Henry’s (Gus Turner) return to the US.
It was all very sad, particularly when our leading man admitted to having panic attacks during a press conference; however, the last scene sent fans into a tizzy!
While FaceTiming with Henry, his young son showed off a new toy gifted to him by someone named “Jake”. An Infinity Gauntlet.
“Mummy’s friend,” Henry told Ted after he asked who gave it to him.
Now, some devoted Lasso buffs think it was directly aimed at Grammy Award-winning, Styles.
Jason Sudeikis as Ted Lasso. Source: AppleTV+.
Why was the Infinity Gauntlet toy important to the fan theory?
For those who love the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Styles played Eros, Thanos’ brother, in 2021’s Eternals.
This, coupled with the fact that Styles’ character in Don’t Worry, Darling was JACK (a bit similar to Jake, don’t ya think?) — fans are going W.I.L.D(e)!
Imagine going to a High School reunion and then stranded during the end of the world with a bunch of women you haven’t seen in a decade — that’s the premise of Prime Video’s Class of ’07.
From the first episode of this Aussie comedy series, you will be hooked, line and sinker by the talented cast of Aussies who become marooned on a remote island after a tidal wave hits.
It’s Lord of the Flies meets Netflix’ The Society (but make it Australian) and follows a group of past students who attend a reunion, only to be met with life-and-death stakes.
What is Class of ’07 about?
The official synopsis reads: “When Zoe Miller (Emily Browning) unknowingly stumbles upon her ten-year high school reunion in full swing, she throws herself into partying instead of warning her classmates of the impending apocalyptic wave outside.
“Now stranded with a group of pissed off women – including her estranged best friend Amelia (Megan Smart) – Zoe must work with her peers to find a way to live atop the newly formed island peak of their high school campus.
Emily Browning and Megan Smart. Source: Prime Video
“This high concept comedy explores an inescapable, never-ending reunion where the greatest threat to survival isn’t the end of the world, but decade old drama.
The eight-part 30 min series is an “unapologetic love letter to female friendship, about two old friends finding their way back to each other. It just so happens that Zoe and Amelia are sorting their sh** out in the most absurd of settings: the apocalypse.”
Who is in the cast of Class of ’07?
Alongside Smart and Browning, the cast features a slew of talented young women, including Caitlin Stacey (Bridge and Tunnel) as Saskia, Steph Tisdell (Total Control) as Phoebe, Emma Horn (Codependent) as Renee, Claire Lovering(San Andreas) as Genevieve, Sana’a Shaik (Dive Club), Bernie Van Tiel as Tegan (Jade of Death), Chi Nguyen(Fisk) as Megan, Sarah Krndija(The Junket) as Sandy, Rose Flanagan(Five Bedrooms) as Laura and Home and Away’sDebra Lawrence as Sister Bicky.

When will Class of ’07 premiere?
To get your “poco” fix, Class of ’07 will premiere on March 17, only on Prime Video.
Where was it filmed?
The series was shot and filmed in Sydney, NSW, with some very recognisable landmarks.
The fictional Ridge Heights Catholic Ladies College was filmed at the International College of Management in Manly, Sydney — ya know, where Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban got married!
Penrith Regatta Centre was used for the outdoor water studio set, where other external sets were built, including the use of submerged buildings and boat rigs.
Dear God. It’s the sixth Married at First Sight dinner party, i.e. episode 28, and we’re not sure we can handle much more of this.
After an ~EveNTfuL~ Feedback Week — where new pairings f**ked up existing relos — and da Gels and Boiz nightz took place — everyone is effing exhausted. But mostly the viewers at home.
Before we get into the gaslighting, meddling and DRAH-MA, let’s pause to le sigh at the cutest pairing of any MAFS season, Tahnee and Ollie.
Tahnee and Ollie. Source: Nine.
Since Melinda and Layton fought all week, they’re now going into the Dinner Party with “unresolved” iss-ues. However, they feel like they’re “walking into the Dinner Party in a good space”. FORESHADOWING!
Meanwhile, Lyndall found out that her mansCameronwill be working in a far-off distant land and doesn’t want to compromise for his TV wife. Lyndall thinks her relo is “pretty weird” right now, given that she was paired with Ollie, a complete saint of a man.
Lyndall communicates once again that “communication” is important and feels like Cam doesn’t, well, communicate.
Harrison gaslights Bronte…again
Down the hall, Rupert and Evelyn are talking about “glass-house” Harrison, who apparently showed Melinda texts that said she lied about the godforsaken “butt-dial” incident. During the Gels Night, Lyndall called Harry a “gossip girl”, and there’s nothing XO about him!
Evelyn is fed up with ol’ mate, who craftily uses deflection to cause absolute chaos in other people’s relationships, and she wants him to “shut up and eat his steak” otherwise the “fire” will come out from inside of her.
Over in couples hell, Bronte is “seeking reassurance” from her husband. LOL. Instead of giving it to her, Harrison blames his wife for everything and finally Bronte is DONE. Done, I tell you.
“He’s gaslighting me again,” she says. And NO S**T, Sherlock!
“If we’re honest, you and I aren’t good,” she tells him and says she’s not going to the Dinner Party.
Bronte. Source: Nine.
The MAFS Experts are “excited” to hear what happened during the Partner Swap
It’s time for the pres, a.k.a the Cocktail Party, and the Experts are “excited” to hear how the Partner Swap went. LAWL.
Meanwhile, Tahnee and Ollie are doing their best ostrich and Steve Jobs impressions, and we love this for them. They are then joined by Rupert and Evelyn, who seem to be “progressing in the right direction” and seem very heppy, until the topic turns to Harrison…
Evelyn. Source: Nine.
Ollie says that Harry, who is “throwing grenades again”, insinuated that his perfect relo with Tahnee is “fake” and Evelyn wants to know why no one is calling him out.
After Alyssa and Duncan arrive in a couple’s outfit and Lyndall and Cam have the most awkies car ride ever, Harrison enters… alone. The other couples don’t want a bar of him and give him an ice-cold reception.
Expert John says that once again, Harrison wants to get on the “front-foot” to “control the narrative” and before he can tell his fake-ass side of the story, Mel and Layton arrive.
The participants realise that LayLay and Prince Charming are dressed the same, and now THIS is #couplegoals!
Duncan and Layton. Source: Nine.
Unfortunately, we’re back to Harrison and he’s “disappointed” that Melinda has shared info that they spoke about over the three days they were forced to be around each other.
The couples turn on Married at First Sight’s Harrison
We’re already 40 minutes into the episode and it’s finally time for dinner. Everyone turns on Harrison who says, “can’t I hang out with my friends?”. Lol. What friends?!
Everyone is despo for context on where Bronte is, and Harrison admits that she is donezo. Literally, not one person is shocked. They’re just “fatigued”.
“He’s lost his power,” Expert Mel says.
Ollie then asks if Harrison will write “stay” during the Commitment Ceremony, and he says there’s “unequivocally NO chance”. PRAISE BE!
No one is buying his bulls**t and continues to probe him. Harrison continues to turn the colour of a tomato.
Harrison. Source: Nine.
Alyssa says she wants to stop talking about Bronte and Harrison, so the convo turns to the other struggling couples i.e. Cam and Lyndall and Melinda and Layton.
Cam is “drive in and drive out”, not “fly in fly out”, and admits that he can be away for up to six months to a year. In some places, he has no “reception” and Lyndall goes into “shock”.
Once again, Cam is not budging and doesn’t want to change his “lifestyle” and Expert Alessandra thinks he’s getting “cold feet”. Frost-bitten, if you will.
Cam wants to see a future outside of the experiment BUT can’t. Lyndall is devo.
Lyndall and Cameron. Source: Nine.
Melinda and Layton fight in front of the entire table
Just when we think things are settling down, Melinda and Layton engage in a fight “heated” confrontation in front of the others.
Layton doesn’t “feel great” and shows absolute disdain for Harrison.
Melinda says that her husband put up the “Wall of China and shut me out”, and Harrison just sits back and watches another explosion that he started.
Harrison. Source: Nine.
When their clash escalates, Melinda storms off, and as she leaves the Dinner Party, Layton questions whether their relationship is worth keeping.
Is it over for the couple who have to count the days between fights?!
And that’s what you missed….
Watch Married At First Sight on Sundays at 7.00 pm and Monday – Wednesday at 7.30 pm on Nine and 9Now.
It’s episode 27 of Married at First Sight Australia 2023 and we’re heading off on the gels and boiz nights.
But before we can get glam and b**tch about our partners, the other (bar Alyssa and Duncan — because we’ve already seen THAT sh**-show) are about to reunite. Except for Layton and Melinda. Because Bronte meddled.
Bronte has encouraged our boy LayLay (after he brings her “ah-c’ya” bowls) to spend a day away from his wife — which is absolute BS, Bronte. Butt out and focus on your idiot husband, Harrison.
Melinda and Bronte. Source: Nine.
While the partner swap was great for Ollie and Tahnee, Lyndall realises that Cameron couldn’t communicate for s**t and tries to, well, communicate that with him.
When it fails — because, ya know, communication — Lyndall realises Cam can’t meet her emotional needs. To add to their woes, Cam has learned that his next job is hella remote, and the long-distance will certainly f**k up his relo with his wife IRL.
Melinda and Layton decide to have a night apart
Back to the s**t-fight Melinda and Layton, Melinda is absolutely distraught.
Wanting answers, she goes to find Miss-Meddle-Alot Bronte who gives Melinda a very frosty reception.
“You’re at the wrong door, babes,” and no she absolutely ain’t!
Bronte tells Melinda that Layton felt unsupported in their relationship and adds more fuel to the fire, unwilling to help the couple unite.
Melinda then visits her hubby in another suite (how many did they put on hold?!) and it does NOT go well. They decide to have a night apart to decompress.
Days since a fight. 0.
Layton and Melinda. Source: Nine.
The next day — or whenever it was filmed — the couples return to normality. i.e. fighting and struggling through their relos.
Layton returns to Melinda but she is super hurt over the previous day’s events. Alyssa has also returned; we find out she’s spent time with her son. She comes in all smiles and her new posi mindset gives Duncan hope.
Bronte fears Melinda and won’t “tolerate” being spoken to “like that ever again”
Now that the first stage of Feedback week is complete, the second stage is about to commence. Boys and Girls Night.
And while we’re thrilled to finally be at this part of the experiment, Bronte is hella scared of Melinda.
“The way that Melinda came storming in here the other day was just so inappropriate,” Bronte tells Harrison, who is surprisingly mute. “And I won’t tolerate being spoken to like that ever again. I won’t have a bar of it.”
She then tells the producers: “Girls’ night….” Giggle, giggle. “Because Girl’s nights in the past have really gone down well…” She ain’t wrong. #RIPSmashedGlassGate

Girls Night and Boys Night Recap
The brides are revelling in the opportunity to be together and support each other and discuss the nuances of the partner swap.
However, over in the land of the lads, LayLay and Harrison have a discussion which leads Layton to finally realise that ol’ mate Harry cannot be trusted.
“He’s trying to stir me up,” Layton says. “I don’t like people standing in glass houses and throwing stones.”
Layton and Harrison. Source: Nine.
When Claire — armed with crystals — is getting ready, she admits that she and Jesse talk. A lot. However, given he doesn’t like confrontation, he won’t be attending da boiz night.
Meanwhile, Janelle is ready to hold Claire accountable for her kiss with Adam (f**k, remember him?!), and since leaving the experiment, Sandy has had a self-love revelation, revealing she didn’t tell her parents about Dan.
When Claire arrives, she stirs the pot by asking what she’s missed in the two minutes since she’s been gone. Just as predicted, Melinda and Bronte go head-to-head over the events of the Partner Swap.
Sandy then questions Bronte about her relationship with Harrison, saying that Harrison manipulates his Bride. Bronte storms off without saying goodbye because the truth isn’t pretty.
Sandy and Bronte. Source: Nine.
Claire and Janelle make peace over the kiss and are now the two best friends that ever there was.
Apart from Bronte’s exit, the Girl’s night actually seemed to go…well?! However, the same couldn’t be said for the boys…
When Adam returns to the group, he attempts an “apology” again; however, glass house Harrison decides to confront him about the lack of accountability for his ways.
And that’s what you missed…

The genre-hopping action-comedy is slated to premiere on May 24 on Disney+ and is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton (Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings).
Who is in the cast of American Born Chinese?

With the season one finale of The Last of Us taking the world by storm, we all want to know two things: What is happening with season two, and what will we do without our weekly fix of Joel (Pedro Pascal) and Ellie (Bella Ramsey)?
On January 27, after only a few episodes had aired, the series was officially renewed for a second season. No surprises there, as The Last of Us has been a massive success for HBO.
The show has now surpassed House of the Dragon for full-season viewers, and the finale averaged 8.2 million viewers across all platforms for HBO – making it an opening night high.
So when can we see more episodes of The Last Of Us, and what will happen to Ellie and Joel? Let’s find out.
The finale averaged 8.2 million viewers across all platforms for HBO. Source: BINGE
When will season 2 of The Last of Us air?
While the second season has been confirmed, it will still be quite some time before season two hits our screens.
According to executive producer Craig Mazin via The Washington Post, filming the first season took around 200 days, followed by a “feature-film-like production schedule.”
In total, it took 18 months from shooting the first scene to the launch of season one on January 15, 2023.
If we follow a similar timeline for season two, we can expect to be binge-watching it in mid-2024 at the earliest.
Who will be cast in The Last of Us season 2?
If you didn’t already know, The Last Of Us is based on a video game, and it has a sequel!
Since both the first game and the add-on have now been featured in season one, we can assume that season two will start with some of the events of the second game, The Last of Us Part 2.
The Last of Us Part 2 game does feature both Joel and Ellie, so we can safely assume to see the return of Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey in those roles.
Now, there is a five-year-jump between seasons in the game, but Mazin has reassured us that that won’t mean any recasts.
“There’s a little bit of interesting flexibility. Wonderful things that makeup can do,” he told Variety.
“We don’t get too wrapped up in that stuff. As long as people are absorbed by the story, I think there’s some flexibility there.”
Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey will likely return for The Last of Us, season two. Source: BINGE.
Is there a trailer for The Last of Us season 2?
Unfortunately, a trailer has yet to be released for The Last of Us season two. However, if we follow season one’s timeline, we can expect the drop of a full trailer approximately one month ahead of the second instalment’s premiere.
Will there be a season 3 of The Last of Us?
Before the season 2 confirmation news, Mazin told Collider that he and Neil Druckmann don’t see The Last of Us as a series that runs for seasons upon seasons.
But, he did reveal that the “remaining story [in The Last of Us Part 2) would take us more than a season to tell.”
Australian Idol delivered a shocking verdict on March 13 when Noora H was eliminated.
After gaining the judge’s save in last week’s Sunday episode, the 27-year-old was ousted during Heroes week, leaving the judges gobsmacked by the decision.
“Are you happy, Australia?” judge Amy Shark said after the contestant’s final performance, Chandelier.
However, being voted off didn’t surprise the South-Western Sydney local who remarked: “I am so overwhelmed and like, I mean, I kind of saw this coming, but I can’t be upset. I am just sad that I will miss everybody….
“This has been the most incredible experience of my life. I just can’t be upset about that.”
After her elimination, Noora spoke to Chattr about why she saw the elimination coming.
“I’m a little bit disappointed with the feedback I have gotten on social media,” Noora admitted. “And I believe it may have affected some of the votes. I’m not too sure.”
While the singer did receive positive feedback, the online hate she did receive was “brutal”.
“But I can [also] see why other Hijabis [an Australian woman who wears a hijab] have hesitated to come forward. I don’t regret it because my support system is much bigger and more special. And that’s all I need.”
Noora H reveals why she doesn’t share her surname with the public
While the other contestants have revealed their surnames to the public, the performer “doesn’t like” to share hers.
“It’s [H] is the letter of my last name, but I don’t want to put my last name out there,” she admitted. “I don’t think it’s important for everyone to know my last name.”
As for what’s next for Noora, she wants to mix her love of travel and cruise ships with her love of performing.
“If I can do the two things that I love, that’s the ultimate dream,” she said, before adding: “I want to make my own original music, I want to be on stage.
“I want to have my own shows where my own supporters are there for me and not just everybody. Where I know if people like me or not. It will be a room filled with love… and it will be more relaxing without the judges sitting in front of me.”
Australian Idol airs 7.00 pm Sunday and 7.30 pm Mondays on Channel 7 and 7plus.
It’s the morning after the fifth Married at First Sight Australia 2023Commitment Ceremony, and the couples are still reeling after Claire and Jesse’s shock exit.
Even though erryone (including the Experts) blamed Harrisonfor throwing a grenade and blowing up #Clesse’s relationship, he STILL thinks he did nothing wrong. LOL.
Bronte feels relieved that she and Hazza are still going strong but is concerned that the constant group dramz — a.k.a their feud with Melinda — will break them.
Down the hall, Melinda is pretending to not really care about the whole thing, but deep down she’s ready for war. She talks to Layton about how her arch-nemesis and his wife are causing a pure spectacle; however, her hubby Layton just wants to move forward.
“It’s a circus act,” she said and yes, Harrison is the lead clown.
Melinda. Source: Nine.
After everyone stops b**ching about Harrison, the Experts introduce one of the most “innovative and radical phases” the experiment has ever seen. Feedback Week, which includes a “world first” partner swap.
As part of the exercise, participants must move into a newly assigned pairing for the next three days to cheat and gain a brand-new perspective from someone else. I.e. Someone else who wants to meddle…
Everyone is excited about this new phase; however, since the producers decide to wake up and choose dabauchery, they pair Melinda and Layton with Harrison and Bronte respectively.
“I’d rather stick kitchen utensils in my eyes than live with Melinda for three days,” Harrison says, and mate, she ain’t thrilled about it either.
“I’d rather go jump off a balcony,” she says.
Harrison.Melinda.
In case you care (we know you don’t), Tahnee was paired with Rupert, Lyndall with Ollie, Alyssa with Cameron and Evelyn with Prince Charming, a.k.a Duncan.
The Married at First Sight Australia Partner Swap begins
After raising hell about the task, Melinda has a change of heart and concedes to moving in with Harrison; however, Layton is f**ked off and refuses to participate. Harrison then rocks up at their front door (with every single item he’s ever owned) ready to move in.
Just like he planned — and always a deflection to his bullsh**tery — Harrison bares witness to a tense fight between his new wife and her husband, Layton.
Not having any of this sh**, Layton storms out, frustrated with what he’s about to endure and the lack of support from Melinda.
Days since a fight? 0.
Layton and Melinda. Source: Nine.
Meanwhile, over in the land of the sane…
Lyndall is surprised by the understanding and support from Ollie about her marriage to Cam, and Tahnee gives Rupert some nice advice… which is great. Good for you.
Melinda and Harrison undergo the first task
Melinda and Harrison are surprisingly keen to undertake the first task because it means they can give each other a “reality check.”
Like the cursed honeymoon Honesty Box, the task is filled with hard-hitting questions from their fellow nosy participants about their existing marriages.
“It will illicit a frank response… and the hope is that emotions will not get in the way of raw honesty,” Expert John says. Sure, Jan.
Harrison asks Melinda: “Do you think I’ve left my single life behind and am ready to commit?” and Melinda gives a long answer…but what she’s really saying is, “No. Next.”
“Do you think my relationship is fake, and why?” Yes. Moving on…
Harrison. Source: Nine.
Then Melinda got to ask Harrison some questions.
“What is it about me, from your own observations that make you think I’m a nightmare behind closed doors?”
After Harrison waffles on about how Layton has changed “over the weeks,” he says it has lead him to believe that Melinda was the reason… &_&.
In the words of Melinda: “Anyway”…
Meanwhile over in Bronte and Layton’s room…
Despite categorically refusing to move in with Bronte, Layton reluctantly agrees to participate in the questions.
Even though he reeeeally didn’t want to know, Bronte gives him BRUTAL feedback about his wife, which is fooked, because now he’s questioning everything.
Meanwhile, Evelyn, Duncan, Alyssa, and Cameron undertake the second task — the Honesty Letter. After Alyssa pens hers, Duncan reads it to Evelyn. His little face sinks, and he is devo, worrying about Alyssa’s negative tone.
Duncan. Source: Nine.
The OG couples reunite
Even though we hoped for a little more spice, the couples return back to whence they came.
The first couple to reunite is Alyssa and Duncan, and despite feeling re-energised after the swap and organising gifts for his bride, Alyssa greets Duncan with basically… a grimace.
Once again, she wants to talk about how her child is a priority — and while this is 10/10 OK, we feel like Duncan is proving that he knows this.
Even though he shows full support and understanding, Alyssa gets defensive and walks out, leaving our Prince sobbing.
Until tomorrow…

The 95th Academy Awards a.k.a the 2023 Oscars began with a stunning champagne carpet as some of the world’s biggest stars — hoping to be winners on the night — walked in glittery style.
All Quiet on the Western Front received four Oscars, including Best International Feature Film, Original Score, Best Production Design and Best Cinematography; however, the biggest honour of the night went to Everything Everywhere All at Once, taking out Best Picture.
Here’s a rundown of everything that happened at the 2023 Oscars!
Jimmy Kimmel’s opening monologue
Inside the Dolby Theatre, host Jimmy Kimmel took aim at James Cameron, saying the show is so long that even he didn’t want to sit through it before he joked about 2022’s infamous Will Smith slap.
“We want you to feel safe. We want me to feel safe,” he said. “If anyone in this theatre commits an act of violence at any point in the show, you will be awarded the Oscar for Best Actor and permitted to give a 19-minute-long speech.”

Ke Huy Quan (Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom) got a standing ovation from his peers for Best Supporting Actor in Everything Everywhere All at Once.
Quan revealed that his 84-year-old mum was watching from home.
“Mum, I just won an Oscar!” he said before adding that he was a refugee.
“Stories like this only happen in the movies, I can’t believe it’s happening to me. This is the American dream! To all of you out there, please keep your dreams alive!”

Jamie Lee Curtis took home Best Supporting Actress for Everything Everywhere All at Once after 45 years in the industry.
“We just won an Oscar together,” she said, paying homage to the cast and crew. She also mentioned her parents, Tony Curtis and Janet Leigh, both Oscar nominees.
“I just won an Oscar,” she said in tears.

Navalny took home Best Documentary Feature Film
Navalny took home Best Documentary Feature Film about Russian lawyer Alexei Navalny, who is still imprisoned. His wife, Yulia Navalnaya was also on hand to accept the Oscar and spoke on behalf of her husband.
When an Irish Goodbye won the Best Live-Action Short Film award, the filmmakers, Tom Berkeley and Ross White revealed it was a “special night” because it was their lead actor James Martin’s birthday. They then led the audience in singing Happy Birthday to him. So sweet!

James Friend beat out cinematographer Emily Ward (Elvis) to win Best Cinematography for All Quiet on the Western Front. If Ward had won, she would have been the first-ever female to do so.
Before the Best Costume design was announced, Kimmel walked on stage with Jenny, the donkey from The Banshees of Inisherin, calling her an “emotional support” donkey.

Catherine Martin misses out on Oscar
Australia’s Catherine Martin missed out on the top honour for Best Costume Design to Black Panther: Wakanda Forever‘s Ruth Carter, whose mother passed away earlier in the week.
Germany won Best International Feature Film for All Quiet on the Western Front, and the Documentary Short Film went to The Elephant Whisperers by filmmakers Kartiki Gonsalves and Guneet Monga — the latter was the first Indian to ever be inducted into the Academy.
Later, Kimmel — who continued to reference Smith’s slap — said, “this point in the show makes you miss the slap a little…” before Brisbane film student Lachlan Pedragon was overlooked for Best Animated Short Film.
Hugh Grant and Andie Macdowell reunite onstage 29 years after Four Weddings and a Funeral
In the best-presenting surprise ever, Four Weddings and Funeral actors Hugh Grant and Andie MacDowell reunited onstage — 29 years after the film was made — to present Best Production Design. Grant said he was “basically a scrotum” compared to an ageless MacDowell.
Elizabeth Banks presented the Best Visual Effects award while standing next to a human dressed as a bear from her film, Cocaine Bear.
She joked that without Visual Effects, “Cocaine Bear would have been an actor in a bear suit, probably on cocaine…”

Kimmel then took to the actors in the audience with “questions” from viewers, and it fell flat.
He asked Pakistani female education activist and Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai if she thought Harry Styles spit on Chris Pine and Colin Farrell what he said in The Banshees of Inisherin, referencing his Irish accent. The bear then made another appearance and Kimmel asked him to “leave Malala alone”.
Former actor Sarah Polley (Disney’s One Magic Christmas) won Best Adapted Screenplay for Women Talking, who said: “I want to thank the Academy for not being offended by the words ‘women’ and ‘talking’ so close together.”
Best Original Song went to RRR’sNaatu Naatu by M.M. Keeravaani and Chandrabose.
Keeravaani admitted that he grew up with singing icons The Carpenters and sang part of his speech to the tune of Top of the World.
Olivia Newton-John was honoured by John Travolta, Lenny Kravitz and the In Memoriam
John Travolta announced the In Memoriam with a special nod to Dame Olivia Newton-John.
“They’ve touched our hearts, they’ve made us smile, and became dear friends, who we will always remain hopelessly devoted to.”
Lenny Kravitz then performed Calling All Angels, with Newton-John the first to appear on the screen.

A sweet moment occurred when Paul Rogers won Best Editing for Everything Everywhere All at Once. After announcing it was only his second-ever film, he said: “My mum is here, and you’ll see her if she screams”. A “Woo!” came from the audience and he said: “There she is!”
Aussie Nicole Kidman presented Best Directing, alongside Brit Idris Elba, which went to Everything Everywhere All at Oncedirectors Daniel Kwan and Daniel Scheinert.
Scheinert thanked his parents, who he said “didn’t squash his creativity as a child” and “when I was dressing in drag, which is a threat to nobody!”
Brendan Fraser and Michelle Yeoh take home Best Actor and Best Actress
The Best Actor award went to Brendan Fraser in The Whale. He thanked his team for “throwing him a creative lifeline”.
Then, the second last award for the night went to Michelle Yeoh, who took the Best Actress gong for Everything Everywhere All at Once. It was history-making as she became the first Asian woman to win the category in the Academy Awards’ 95-year history.
“To all the little boys and girls who look like me watching tonight…dreams do come true. And ladies, don’t let anyone ever tell you that you are past your prime!”

TV host and comedian Jimmy Kimmel opened the 95th Academy Awards (Oscars) with a tongue-in-cheek opening monologue.
Taking aim at Will Smith, he said: “We want everyone to feel safe. We want me to feel safe.
“If anyone in this theatre commits an act of violence at any point in the show, you will be awarded the Oscar for Best Actor and permitted to give a 19-minute-long speech.”
He then made reference to all of those actors who could protect him, including Spiderman’sAndrew Garfield — whose facial expressions got a huge laugh from the crowd.
Kimmel then called out the Academy for doing “nothing” last year, saying that their new “crisis team” would also do “nothing” once again if anything else were to happen.
During the opener, Kimmel — who arrived by parachute onto the stage — poked fun at director James Cameron, saying the show is so long that even he didn’t want to sit through it. LOL! Before turning his attention to Top Gun: Maverick’sTom Cruise.
“Everyone loved Top Gun, everyone. Tom Cruise with his shirt off in that beach football scene? L. Ron hubba hubba! You know what I’m saying?” he joked.
“Tom and James Cameron didn’t show up. Two guys who insisted on us going to the theatre didn’t go to the theatre.”
“Rihanna is here, Lady Gaga is here, and even Elvis is here. Austin Butler is here,” he said, before making a joke referring to his accent.
“Elvis is still in the building.”

If you can honestly believe it, we are now up to the second-last Commitment Ceremony of Married at First Sight. While we swear this season is the shortest in history, we are now up to episode 25… the penultimate couch sesh!
While the Dinner Parties bring the ultimate drama during MAFS, it’s nothing compared to the experts’ wrath — and tonight, some of the couples were delivered some home truths.
But before the couch was the morning of — and some couples are, as expert John Aiken would say — in crisis.
Melinda and Layton woke up in a good place after Layton defended Melinda at Wednesday’s Dinner Party when sh**-stirrer Harrison took personal attacks at her.
Despite attempts to rebuild their connection throughout the experiment, Claire and Jesse’s relationship is fooked, thanks once again to Harrison, who deflected being an a**hat and turned the attention on them.

Speaking of ol’ mate Hazza, he has decided he wants to win Bronte back after breaking up with her during the Dinner Party.
“Tonight during the Commitment Ceremony, I’m going to let Bronte redeem herself to me,” he says. And, make. it. stop.
Now, you’re all caught up. Here’s who stayed (or was forced to stay) and who chose to leave during episode 25 of Married at First Sight?
Alyssa and Duncan
Duncan and Alyssa. Source: Nine.
Alyssa and Duncan had a rocky week at the Married at First Sight Couples Retreat, and Duncan, a.k.a Prince Charming had to reassure his wife that everything would be OK.
Duncan reiterates to Alyssa that he knows her son is a priority after Alyssa says she’s concerned that her hubby doesn’t think so, however, he believes there is something deeper they need to discuss around being vulnerable instead of picking apart his behaviour.
When asked whether her expectations were too high, Duncan admitted it was a concern, which once again upsets Alyssa — she has a child, she wants to be a priority and she has expectations.
Alyssa cries, says “I feel sick” and leaves the couch. While Duncan follows her and begs him to leave her alone, she heads into the lift and leaves.
“I wanna leave,” she says. “I really want to go.”
Duncan tells the group that Alyssa has left, and expert Alessandra calls the “level of reaction… intense”, before he admits the relationship is “tough”.
Alyssa then returns to the couch, calling it “hard to hear that her expectations are too much”.
“I felt like, in the Couple’s Retreat, no matter what I did was wrong,” Duncan says before admitting that he understands where she is coming from; however, Alyssa says he makes her “feel like a bad person”.
Duncan’s decision: Stay
Alyssa’s decision: Stay
Tahnee and Ollie
Ollie and Tahnee. Source: Nine.
Tahnee and Ollie are by far the strongest couple of the experiment — which scares us greatly because you never know WTF will happen.
Once again, the pair have been discussing what a future outside the experiment would look like, with Ollie even saying he would move to Sydney for his fake bride and when Alessandra asks if they are falling in love, they both say “yes”. Cute!
Tahnee’s decision: Stay
Ollie’s decision: Stay
Lyndall and Cameron
Cam and Lyndall. Source: Nine.
While they’ve had a few bumps in the road, ultimately, the Couples Retreat was “awesome” for Lyndall and Cameron.
Lyndall felt like the time away was a reminder of their honeymoon because Cam was allowed outdoors.
When expert Mel Schilling asks if Cam has feelings for Lyndall, he says he has “strong feelings”, although he has concerns about what will happen when the experiment is over because they haven’t talked about it.
Lyndall’s decision: Stay
Cameron’s decision: Stay
Bronte and Harrison
Bronte and Harrison. Source: Nine.
Once again, Bronte and Harrison were under the microscope of the Experts with John questioning why they broke up last night and now are a unified couple.
Bronte explained that because Harrison was a sh**head during the Couples retreat, they ended things; however, she still had feelings for him.
She then said that it was because of his insecurities that the argument took place, and that he was just asking for reassurance — which is ridonculous because obviously that’s all she gives him.
When questioned whether he’s ever manipulated her, Harrison rejects the notion and the group could hardly contain their shock at his absolute bullsh**tery.
Harrison then said the problem is that Bronte gets emotional and worked up before earth angel John cut off.
John tells him that he continues to blame Bronte but needs to take accountability for his f**ked actions, but because Harrison has zero self-awareness, he can’t name a single time he is botched anything. LOL.
As per usual, they go around in circles as John encourages Harrison to take a look inwards.
Claire and Melinda are like “WTAF bro”, with Lyndall telling Bronte that her bae is “emotionally manipulating” her.
Harrison goes in to defend himself, while John once again interrupts and asks Bronte if she feels that way.
She thinks it’s all real and doesn’t think she owes anyone an explanation, but then says she doesn’t feel “good enough” for her husband. Cool.
Harrison’s decision: Stay
Bronte’s decision: Stay
Evelyn and Rupert
Evelyn and Rupert. Source: Nine.
We are still shocked that Evelyn and Rupert are still together because they go together like cement and jam, however, somehow, it seems to be working.
Apparently, they even FLIRT, which is concerning since they are married.
The couple haven’t “gone all the way”, but it is in the cards because of their mutual sexual attraction.
Evelyn’s decision: Stay
Rupert’s decision: Stay
Melinda and Layton
Melinda and Layton. Source: Nine.
Melinda and Layton are next to face the Experts, and Melinda explains that Bronte told her that Layton wasn’t on the same page as her, causing her some “turmoil”.
Melinda said she knew it wasn’t true; however, when she brought it up with Layton it caused conflict.
Luckily, Layton had her back during the cursed Dinner Party, so she loves this from him.
Layton then said that their main problem is the various issues around them i.e. the other couples who won’t butt out, which stop them from moving forward.
John tells him he’s being too analytical and not being emotional enough and Layton admits to not being as emotional as he could be in relationships.
John encourages him to lean into his feelings.
Melinda’s decision: Stay
Layton’s decision: Stay
Claire and Jesse
Claire and Jesse. Source: Nine
Mel said it was hard to watch Claire and Jesse’s relationship “shift” throughout the Dinner Party. Jesse said that it was the other couples who caused the chaos, i.e. Harrison, who said that Claire was only writing stay to protect her “image”.
The comment — which was purely a distraction from his own behaviour — triggered Jesse’s past hurt when Claire came clean about kissing Adam.
While Claire says they were moving into a better place, she blamed ol’ mate Harrison for throwing a grenade to deflect what he was facing at the table.
Harrison interjects to once again defend himself, but Claire shut him down.
John — who clearly has a mission to hold Harrison accountable for his behaviour — probed Harrison about why he made the comment. Once again, he blamed Bronte, this time because apparently, SHE shared the information, before admitting he couldn’t prove whether it was true or not. Lol.
Claire admits she did the wrong thing but stuck around for Jesse — because her feelings are real, y’all!
Both decide to leave and Bronte and Harrison hung their heads in shame…
Jesse’s decision: Leave
Claire’s decision: Leave
