Stans of the show will know that the series has predominantly aired on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7.30pm since its inception in 2013.

However, for those of you who are watching The Bachelors (read: name change) in 2023, the series was not only changed from the end of the year to the beginning, but the days have changed as well.

Kanye West got “married” to Aussie Bianca Censori — here’s what you need to know

It was a wild weekend in LA when it was revealed that Kanye West had married Australian Yeezy designer Bianca Censori.

In a report by TMZ — who are always notoriously in the know — the 45-year-old rapper and his 27-year-old boo married in a private ceremony sometime in January.

While the couple has been sporting wedding rings, an official wedding certificate has not yet been filed; however, the “ring symbolises his commitment to her following the ceremony”.

Just last month, the man, formerly known as Kim Kardashian’s ex-husband, released a song titled Censori Overload — with the line, “And The Bible said, ‘I can’t have any more sex til marriage'”. Coincidence? We think not!

According to the same outlet, Bianca is from Melbourne, Australia and has worked as an architectural designer at Yeezy since 2020.

Bianca received a bachelor’s and master’s degree from the University of Melbourne, before working at Toscano Architects and as a design consultant for Kolektiv in Victoria.

In an interview with The Herald Sun, Bianca’s sister Angelina admitted it was a “very exciting” time, and that she was “super happy for them both”.

“It’s very exciting news for both my sister and the family, but we choose to have some privacy for the time being,” she added.`

Abbie Chatfield wants everyone to mind their “business” when it comes to her weight

Abbie Chatfield has revealed it is “no one’s business” after growing speculation over her “changing body”, specifically her recent weight loss.

Over the last few months, the TV presenter and media personality has been inundated with comments about her appearance admitting that people “love to tell me” when “my own body is changing”.

In a new interview with Stellar magazine, the 27-year-old said that no one should comment on another person’s weight.

“People on Instagram love to tell me when my own body is changing, as though I don’t have a mirror,” she told the publication. 

“Weight loss happens because of a myriad of things … I am very, very proud of my relationship with food and exercise.

“I don’t think it’s anyone’s business why someone might have lost weight unless they express it themselves without being prompted. It doesn’t affect anybody else.”

During an episode of her It’s A Lot with Abbie Chatfield podcast in late 2022, the newly minted Fboy Island host called the commentary “fatphobic”.

“I’m having a really hard time eating,” she admitted. “I’m having trouble finding time to eat, and then when I find time to eat I’m having a really hard time chewing food and a really hard time swallowing.

“I feel extremely nauseous when I eat food… It’s also stress.”

Abbie also revealed she had had a hard-time with disordered eating in the past.

Lisa Marie Presley shared a common thread that “plagued” Elvis

Lisa Marie Presley‘s tragic death at age 54 could share a “correlation” with the sudden death of her late father, Elvis Presley.

On January 12 the singer was pronounced dead after going into cardiac arrest, mere days after supporting the cast of Elvis at the 2023 Golden Globe Awards.

Now, her shocking passing has been linked to not only her father (who died of a heart attack in 1977 at age 42) but also his mother, Gladys.

According to biographer Sally Hoedel, Elvis’s uncles on his mother’s side also passed away from either heart or liver-related issues between the ages of 46 and 58.

In her book, Elvis: Destined to Die Young, the author argued that Elvis did not die due to “self-destruction and drug abuse” like many were led to believe; instead, it was because of “bad genes” potentially passed down by his maternal grandparents, Bob Smith and Doll Mansell, who were first cousins.

After Elvis’dies, Sally said the familial deaths had “stopped being a coincidence”.

“Lisa Marie has now prematurely left her children, just as Elvis left her in 1977 when she was just nine years old. It’s also just as Gladys left him prior to that,” she told The Sun.

“There is an undeniable pattern of young death in the family with heart, liver, and lung issues prevalent in the family tree.”

While not confirmed, it appears Lisa Marie Presley suffered the same fate as her father

“It’s obviously too soon to speculate about Lisa Marie, but reports so far do point to a heart-related event,” the biographer told the same outlet. “I would hate to see her treated unfairly in death, as her father has been.”

She continued: “It took decades to uncover just how ill Elvis was so that we could move past the narrative of him taking too many pills and dying in the bathroom. He deserved more than that, and so does she.”

On January 13, Priscilla Presley — the widow of the “King of Rock’n’Roll announced the passing of her only child.

“It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us,” she said in a statement.

“She was the most passionate, strong and loving woman I have ever known.”

According to TMZ, sources confirmed that paramedics performed CPR on January 12 before she was rushed to the hospital.

They also revealed that they could regain a pulse before she was transported.

In an update under an hour later, the same publication said that Lisa Marie went into “full arrest” and was administered epinephrine at the scene.

The report also stated that her housekeeper found her unresponsive while her ex-husband Danny Keogh performed CPR upon bringing her children home from school.

Lisa Marie became joint heir to Elvis’ estate with her grandfather and great-grandmother after he died of a heart attack in 1977.

She became a singer/songwriter and dropped her debut album, To Whom It May Concern in 2003.

Anna Kendrick thought she had found her “person”, but then she found a text exchange

Pitch Perfect‘s Anna Kendrick was in a long-term relationship before discovering her boyfriend had been cheating on her for a year.

“I did start going to Al-Anon while all this was going on. It was a reaction to the accusation that I was crazy and I was the one causing the problem. I started seeing two therapists weekly and trying to learn to meditate,” she told the co-hosts.

In a recent interview with People, Anna said: “I was coming out of a personal experience with emotional abuse and psychological abuse. It felt really distinct in that I had, frankly, seen a lot of movies about abusive or toxic relationships, and it didn’t really look like what was happening to me.”

“It kind of helped me minimise what was happening to me because I thought, ‘Well if I was in an abusive relationship, it would look like that’.”

“‘I just think it’s fair that you know that I know. I don’t put this on your doorstep. You made a mistake, but you’re 25,'” she said. “To her eternal credit, she was like, ‘Yes, can I call you?’ We talked on the phone for about an hour and she was just like, ‘I’m so embarrassed, and I’m so sorry… This was a mistake.”

In 2014, Anna began a relationship with British cinematographer Ben Richardson, and then in 20022, she had a brief relationship with actor Bill Hader.

Early 2000s rom-com stans rejoice! Legally Blonde‘s third instalment is imminent, two decades after the original was released.

Starring the cutest of mega-star blondes, Reese Witherspoon, the 2001 movie became a cult hit, with fans around the world quoting “I object” where possible and performing the “bend and snap” at a moments notice.

The film centred around Elle Woods — a college student who applies to Harvard Law in hopes of winning back her douche-bag ex, Warner.

The movie also starred 2023 Golden Globe Award winner Jennifer Coolidge as Paulette, sexy-AF daddy, Luke Wilson as Emmett and 90s icon Selma Blair as Vivienne.

With the addition of not only a second film, Legally Blonde: Red, White and Blue, and a smash-hit broadway musical under the franchise, it’s no wonder people worldwide are itching to get to the next chapter.

To get us even more excited, the film’s stars have also been baiting fans with snippets from filming, epic wardrobe throwbacks and a pushed-back release date, leading us to believe that *something* is happening.

In May 2020, Reese took to Instagram to announce that Legally Blonde 3 was in the works after rumours swirled about its creation.

However, in a recent interview with ELLE, Mindy revealed it was proving “challenging” to bring Elle into 2023.

“Ordinarily, I think I would actually not find that really fun to do because the expectations are set. But because we haven’t seen the character in 18 years, I was excited.”

Meanwhile, Reese likened a new iteration to the likes of Top Gun: Maverick.

During an interview with USA Today, she said that “they waited a long time to make another version of that movie, and I loved the nostalgia piece they incorporated in it.”

“I feel like these characters are my friends, so I safeguard them. I would never make the subpar, mediocre version of their story.”

According to IMDB, Reese and Jennifer have signed on to do the next film alongside Jessica Cauffiel as Margot and Euphoria star, Alanna Ubach (Serena) to reprise their roles as Elle’s besties.

While there has been no actual confirmation, Luke did say he was “1,000 per cent” keen to return in an interview with Us Magazine in 2020.

“Of course [I’d do it],” he said before adding that it was “just a good feeling.”

In what would be an absolute dream, Mindy expressed she’d love to have Ava Philippe, 23, — Reese’s look-a-like daughter, join as her mother’s on-screen daughter.

“Listen, I think I can do anything, and if that’s something she wanted to do, what a joy to have her in that,” she said.

When will Legally Blonde 3 be released in Australia?

During a virtual cast reunion of the OG movie, a release date of May 2022 was confirmed.

However, with that date well and truly passed, it looks as though we have to wait a lot longer than anticipated.

In January 2023, Kaling confirmed to E News! that there is currently no update; however, if IMDB is anything to go by, the film is still in pre-production at the time of publication.

Tennis Season has officially arrived, and Netflix’s Break Point is the perfect companion

With global superstars descending down under for the Australian Open on January 16 (airing on Channel 9), the official start to the tennis season is upon us, along with Netflix’s brand new series, Break Point.

Premiering on January 13, the initial five-part doco will follow a select group of top tennis players on and off the court as they compete in gruelling Grand Slams and tournaments all over the world.

The first five episodes will feature Nick Kyrgios, Ajla Tomljanovic, Maria Sakkari, Paula Badosa and Novak Djokovic.

Julia Roberts was just let in on a 150-year-old family secret, and just like us, her mind was blown

It turns out megastar Julia Roberts is not actually a Roberts at all.

After appearing on Finding Your Roots — a US equivalent of Who Do You Think You Are — the 55-year-old discovered that she was actually a ‘Mitchell’, after DNA testing narrowed down her heritage.

According to historian Dr Henry Louise Gates Jr, while her great-grandfather’s name is John Roberts (born in 1878 in Douglas County, Atlanta), his mother was Rhoda Suttle — a woman Julia hadn’t ever heard of.

Julia Roberts discovered that she is actually ‘Julia Mitchell’

Archives showed that Rhoda was indeed married to Willis Roberts; however, it turns out he died a decade before his “son” John was born, meaning Willis couldn’t have possibly fathered him.

“But, wait, am I not a Roberts?” Julia asked the historian.

During the 19th century, a lack of birth certificates meant there was no way of knowing who the true father of Rhoda’s children were; however, with present-day DNA testing, it turned out that “biologically”, she was linked to Henry Mitchell Jr.

“You’re Julia Mitchell. You are not a Roberts, biologically,” Dr Gates told the Pretty Woman star.

“But, wait, am I not a Roberts?” Julia asked the historian. Source: PBS.

“This was a very unexpected turn,” she said. “I bet nobody knew.”

“Well, everybody on that farm knew because her husband wasn’t there and she was still having babies,” Dr Gates said.

Around the time that John was born, records indicated that an 1880 census showed Henry lived a few miles from Rhoda’s home with his wife Sarah Mitchell and their six children.

It also turned out that his mother lived FOUR houses down from Rhoda, leading the historian to believe that when Henry “visited” with his mum, he was probably visiting Julia’s great-grandmother as well.

“Sarah was probably saying, ‘Oh he’s going to see his mother, how sweet?’” Julia said in disbelief.

“On the one hand, my mind is truly blown, and it’s fascinating, and on the other hand, there’s part of me that, when I’m calmer, can still wrap my arm around the idea that my family is my family.”

Needless to say, she admitted that she did “prefer the name Roberts”.

Premiering on January 18 on 9Now, season nine of Love Island UK will see a new bunch of hotties enter the villa to get their graft on, put their eggs in baskets, and find their type (on paper).

Jinkies! Velma is an NSFK adult animation origin story, and it’s turning the Scooby Gang on its head

Binge has released a brand-new trailer for the adult animated comedy series Velma, and when we tell you it’s NSFK (not safe for kids), we mean it!

Featuring the voice of The Mindy Project’s Mindy Kaling, the Scooby gang is back, and this time there’s a twist.

In the first episode alone, there’s nudity, murder and a whole lotta hijinx we didn’t see coming, and basically, we’re adding it to our must-watch list immediately.

TWO massive sex scandals rocked The Bachelors, and this new format is really giving somethin’

The Bachelor Australia is certainly heating up in 2023, and after only three episodes, we’ve already had not one, but TWO sex scandals.

While Felix Von Hofe is using the show as a personal Tinder account (i.e. clearly looking for some ~sHoRt-TerM FuN~), one of Jed McIntosh’s ladies had a “secret” to share — although it wasn’t hers to give.

Enter Natasha “Tash” Zuanetti, 31. A woman who decided before filming that she would choose chaos to get more air-time.

During the January 11 episode, Tash dropped the major bombshell that Jessica Navin was in an open relationship.

Running to Jed — who was “alarmed” by the news — he calls for a meeting with Felix and Tash.

“Jess has got a boyfrieeeeeend,” Tash tells him, relishing in the drama. “I feel like you should know.”

Upon hearing the news of Tash’s secret-spilling, the girls are having none of her “drama”, particularly Krystal Thomas who calls her out on it.

While Tash insists that she wasn’t trying to be a b**ch, the wheels are put in motion and Felix was “rattled” by the revelation.

Since he’s here ~lOoKinG for LoVE~, he doesn’t want to propose to someone at the end of this and be in an “open relationship”… which is rich coming from the man who macked on in the second episode under a blanket in front of every other Bachelorette on the show.

Golden Globe Awards 2023: The Complete Winners List

That’s a wrap! After a three-hour ceremony and a year of arguably some of the best TV and film ever made, the 2023 Golden Globe Awards winners have been announced.

Serving us glitz and glamour from the red carpet to the ceremony, we laughed, we cried, we cringed and cheered as our favourite stars from TV and film gathered for a spectacle.

This year’s event was hosted by Jerrod Carmichael from The Carmichael Show, who opened the show with a roast of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association.

“I tell you why I’m here. I’m here because I’m Black,” he said.

“The Golden Globe Awards did not air last year because the HFPA — which, I won’t say they were a racist organisation, but they didn’t have a single Black member until George Floyd died, so do with that information what you will…”

Australia’s very own Cate Blanchett took out the award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama for her role in Tár, however, was on location in the UK and was unable to accept it.

While they didn’t win, Margot Robbie (Babylon), Elizabeth Debicki (The Crown), Hugh Jackman (The Son) and Baz Luhrmann (Elvis) were all nominated.

However, one of the most iconic moments came when Jennifer Coolidge won a Globe for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Limited Series, Anthology Series, or Motion Picture Made for Television for her portrayal of Tanya McQuoid in the White Lotus.

To say we are obsessed, is an understatement!

All hail chaotic queen Jennifer Coolidge, who just won Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Limited Series, Anthology Series, or Motion Picture Made for Television for her portrayal of Tanya McQuoid in the White Lotus.

While we are ABSOLUTELY BUZZING over win, it was her iconic speech which had us in stitches and series creator, Mike White in tears.

In true Coolidge fashion, she swore, swore again and even admitted that she’d do an American Pie sequel.

“American Pie…I milked that to the bone.”

It was brilliant. It was chaos, and it was arguably the BEST speech EVER!

Golden Globe Awards 2023: Australia’s very own Cate Blanchett WINS Big

Australian actress, Cate Blanchett, has taken home a top gong at the 2023 Golden Globe Awards.

For her portrayal as renowned musician Lydia Tár, in the motion picture Tár, the 53-year-old won Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama .

Due to filming in the UK, the highly-acclaimed performer was unable to accept her award, with Crazy Rich Asian’s star Henry Golding accepting on her behalf.

Elizabeth Debicki and Margot Robbie were also nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Musical-Comedy or Drama Television Series and Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy respectively, however, they were unsuccessful.

Michelle Yeoh beat out Margot for Everything Everywhere All at Once and Julia Garner won for Ozark.

There’s no denying that Austin Butler was BRILLIANT in Elvis; however, fans can’t get over the fact that he’s still sporting the King of Rock and Roll’s southern drawl.

After winning Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama at the 2023 Golden Globe Awards, the 31-year-old accepted his award with a heart-warming speech.

While he gave particular shout-outs to “dance partner” Tom Hanks, his “visionary” Australian director Baz Luhrmann and Elvis’ family Lisa-Marie and Priscilla Presley, his accent left people scratching their heads.

Another person was just “confused” as “to why Austin butler was speaking like that.

Golden Globes Awards 2023: Jerrod Carmichael Apologised to Jennifer Coolidge about THAT boat

2023 Golden Globes Awards host Jerrod Carmichael has apologised to icon Jennifer Coolidge for what happened to her on that boat during the season two finale of Binge’s White Lotus.

Before the icon was set to present the award for Best Supporting Actor in a TV Series during the live broadcast on January 10, the openly gay comedian took the opportunity to say sorry on “behalf of the gays”.

“As a gay man, I want to apologise to her on behalf of all of the gays for what we did to her on that boat,” he said. LOL!

In case you missed it, the American Pie actress played scene-stealer Tanya, who was conned by a group of gay men in the second outing of the series.

As the season went on, it was clear that the group were planning on killing her to cash in on her life insurance, led by her estranged husband Greg (John Gries).

Of course, in the end, she figured out the plan and killed them, however, accidentally died while trying to escape the yacht they were on.

Jennifer Coolidge calls the Golden Globes “the Oscars” in hilarious moment

While presenting the award for Best Performance by a Supporting Actor, Jennifer had the audience in stitches from start to finish.

“You know, somebody called Cara Bishop called me and said, ‘Jennifer, we would like you to present at the Golden Globes this year.’ And I said, ‘Oh my God, this is such an honour; thank you so much. Yes, I would love to.’ And I hung up on her.

“And then I thought about it for a little bit, and I just had a complete anxiety attack, and I got very, very nervous. And I thought, ‘I’m not doing this.’

“So, I called Cara right back and I said, ‘Cara I’m so touched that you’d want me to do this, but there’s no way I’m gonna make it from behind the curtain all the way to the podium without breaking my skull… I just can’t do it.’

“And then Cara… I think she was serious, she said, ‘Jennifer, why don’t you just wear a pair of crocs?’

“I said, are you kidding me? With my Dolce and Gabbana dress? All those crazy Italians will lose their minds!” Lol.

But the best bit came when Jennifer said: “And the Oscar goes to… Oh, no, it’s the Golden Globes! The Golden Globe goes to…” Give this woman her own awards show!

However, the most exciting news came when Jennifer won Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in a Limited Series, Anthology Series or Motion Picture Made for Television for her role on the hit show.

Her speech was heartwarming, funny and she even admitted she’d do more sequels of American Pie. F*CK YES!

Golden Globe Awards 2023: Jerrod Carmichael ROASTS the HFPA for being “racist”

The Golden Globe Awards Australia 2023 kicked off with host Jerrod Carmichael’s opening monologue, and it was fiery, to say the least.

Live from the Beverly Hilton Hotel on January 10 (PSTD), Jerrod opened the ceremony with a roast for the ages — and while not one person from Hollywood was mentioned, it was the Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) that was under fire.

“Settle, settle, settle, people in the back. Let’s be a little quiet here,” he began before welcoming everyone to the awards.

Within a minute, Jerrod had called out the association for choosing him as host.

“I tell you why I’m here. I’m here because I’m Black,” he said.

“I’ll catch everyone in the room up,” he continued. “The Golden Globe Awards did not air last year because the HFPA — which, I won’t say they were a racist organisation, but they didn’t have a single Black member until George Floyd died, so do with that information what you will…”

When Jerrod got the call from producer Stephen Hill, he was at home drinking mint tea.

“It would be an honour if you would agree to join as the host,” he had told the comedian.

“One minute you’re making mint tea and the next, you’re invited to be the black face of an embattled white organisation. It really comes at you fast,” Jerrod lamented on stage.

“I’m really torn,” he added. “I’m only being asked to host this because I’m black.”

Stephen, also an African American, responded: “You are being asked to host this show because you are talented…charming, and you are one of the greatest comedians of a generation.”

While flattered, the 35-year-old felt “torn” to take the job. The moral dilemma represented “every black person in America”.

Calling up a friend, they asked which awards show it was.

He said: “Ya know, the one that didn’t air because of the ‘no black people’ thing.”

The friend then asked how much he was being paid. It was a whopping $500k.

“If you don’t put on a good suit and take the white people’s money…” he joked, mimicking his friend, before saying that “we all live by a strict take the money” policy.

Jerrod also admitted he didn’t want a sit-down chat with HFPA’s Helen Hoehna.

“I know a trap when I hear a trap,” he said before adding that as the first black host in 79 years, he was “un-fireable”.

“What are they going to do? Are they’re gonna fire me? I’m un-fireable.”

According to the comedian, Helen wanted to educate him on the changes the HFPA had made in regards to “diversity”.

“I took this job assuming they hadn’t changed at all.”

Ouch!

Later, before announcing Jennifer Coolidge has host, he said: “Everybody, shut the f*ck up!”

Needless to say, it wasn’t bleeped out because, you know. Live TV.

On January 10, 20-year-old Jenna was announced in the second round of presenters, next to Binge’s White Lotus star (and ICON), Jennifer Coolidge.

In addition to these megastars, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association also revealed Henry Golding (Crazy Rich Asians), Claire Danes (The Essex Serpent), Cole Hauser (Dazed and Confused), Jennifer Hudson (Dreamgirls), Harvey Guillén (The Internship), Hilary Swank (Million Dollar Baby), Glen Powell (Hidden Figures), Jay Ellis (Insecure), Letitia Wright (Black Panther), Mo Brings Plenty (Yellowstone), Regina Hall (Girls Trip) and Salma Hayek Pinault (Haus of Gucci) as on-stage presenters.

They will be alongside previously announced presenters Ana De Armas, Ana Gasteyer, Billy Porter, Colman Domingo, Jamie Lee Curtis, Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, Natasha Lyonne, Nicole Byer, Niecy Nash-Betts, Quentin Tarantino and Tracy Morgan who had already been announced.
