MasterChef’s Andy Allen reveals the “silver lining” to Jock Zonfrillo’s passing

Andy Allen stepped back into the MasterChef kitchen for the show’s premiere, marking his first time filming in four years without his close friend and co-host, Jock Zonfrillo.

Jock tragically passed away on April 30, 2023, a day before season 15 was set to premiere. While Jock posthumously appeared on screens for the season, this year’s season has welcomed Poh Ling YeowJean-Christophe Novelli and Sofia Levin alongside returning judge Andy.

In an interview on Hit’s Carrie and Tommy, Andy reflected on Jock’s passing, and the “silver lining” he has found in his grief.

Andy explained that he and his wife used to spend a lot of time with Jock’s family, but he’s grown closer to Jock’s wife Lauren Fried and kids since his death.

“The silver lining of Jock’s passing is that it has really brought me closer to Lauren and to Alfie, and Isla and Ava, as well,” he said.

“I’ve really enjoyed that part of just really strengthening that relationship and being there for those guys and yeah, I hope he’s looking down and going, ‘I’m really, really proud of you of what you’ve done both with my family and then my extended family on MasterChef’.

Jock shares how Jock’s wife Lauren is dealing

During the interview, host Carrie Bickmore asked Andy how Lauren has been dealing with the devastating loss of her husband.

“She’s such a strong beast of a woman. She surprises me so much with how she can deal with this,” he said.

“There are times when it is really tough. There are times for me when it’s really tough, but then you would multiply the amount of grief that she has to deal with on a more frequent basis, as well, and she just seems to be able to deal with it really well.

Andy said that Jock’s family values were inspiring to him, and reflected on what a good father he was.

“Me being part of his family and his kid’s lives was really special. I miss that,” he said.

“I miss Jock being a father because he really was a role model life for me as someone who doesn’t have kids but wants to have kids. I just miss seeing him with his kids that’s that’s the that’s the s**t thing for me.”

It was a lovefest on Twitter for one of the MasterChef Australia 2024 judges

MasterChef Australia is back for 2024, and as per usual, people over on Twitter had a lot to say about the new season, as well as the new judges.

Poh Ling YeowJean-Christophe Novelli and Sofia Levin joined Andy Allen as this year’s judges, as well as Temporary Judge Jamie Oliver.

The verdict on how the new judges fared was left in the hands of the people of Twitter, and there was one clear stand out for them.

While all four judges received a lot of praise on the social media platform, it was MasterChef season one runner-up Poh who was clearly a fan favourite.

“I love Poh as a judge, she’s empathetic, articulate and funny,” one user gushed. Another penned: “Aww, Poh is the best, I love her.”

The episode saw all 22 contestants whip up a dish for the judges. A lot of drama focussed on Lily’s soggy choux, but it was Savindri’s Milk Rice and Blackened Coconut Snapper with Sri Lankan Treacle and Nat’s Kangaroo Larb with Soy Cured Egg Yolk & Toasted Rice Wafer that were the judge’s favourites.

Ultimately, Nat was crowned the winner of the challenge, and won the season’s only Immunity Pin, and a trip to London to go to Jamie Oliver’s restaurant.

The Block’s Steph and Gian have made another HUGE profit from home renovation

Last year’s season The Block may have wrapped, but winners Steph and Gian Ottavio haven’t put their tools down, as they’ve recently made another huge profit from renovation.

Steph and Gian took out the win on The Block 2023, as well as a $1,650,000 profit and received $100,000 prize money on top.

While that was certainly a tidy sum to set the couple’s future up, they’ve used their home renovation skills to earn even more cashola.

Steph and Gian’s The Blockhouse. Nine.

Steph and Gian sold their renovated NSW house

Steph and Gian have sold their renovated home in Bexley for $1,825,000, which they bought in early 2020 for $1,020,000.

After purchasing the property, the couple went to work on renovating it and spent seven months completing it in 2021. Once finished, Steph and Gian moved into the house with their cavoodle, Lumiere.

According to Domain.com, “they built a Scandinavian-inspired rear extension, with the kitchen, living and dining spaces in an open-plan layout featuring vaulted ceilings, north-facing skylights, burnished concrete flooring and large sliding glass doors opening to the courtyard”.

The property was listed five weeks ago with a $1.7m price guide, and sold through private treaty negotiations following an early-April auction.

What are Steph and Gian up to now?

Earlier this year, the winning renovators launched their own interior range called Japandi Estate.

“Japandi Estate is a lifestyle, homewares and architectural brand that blends Japanese ideologies and Scandinavian design elements,” Steph said in a video the couple posted to Instagram.

“As a brand, we look to find a balance between the inbuilt environment, and nature, while embracing the beauty in imperfection and use of nature.”

The homewares range includes Ottomans, cushions, tables and decor items. You can check it all out here.

“I felt like second best”: FWAW’s Farmer Joe was confused why Olivia returned to pursue him

Eliminated Farmer Wants a Wife contestant Olivia returned to the show to pursue Farmer Joe, and the cattle and sheep farmer has revealed his shock over her bold move.

Olivia was originally paired with Farmer Bert, the FWAW contestant wasn’t invited back to Farmer Bert’s farm, and was sent home as a result.

After scoping out Farmer Joe on the first night, Olivia returned to have a crack at a relationship with him. However, during an interview with Chattr ahead of the episode airing, Farmer Joe revealed that Olivia’s return actually left him very confused.

“It was strange. In one sense, I was flattered that someone went to all that effort to try and come back to meet me,” he said.

Olivia with Farmer Joe and his Ladies. Seven.

“But then that was quickly overtaken by a lot of confusion as to how this all came about. I thought that Olivia obviously put herself out there not once to twice, so she was obviously serious about what she wanted.”

However, Olivia’s brave move was soured for Farmer Joe because he wasn’t sure why Olivia picked Bert first.

“I was confused, I felt like second best,” he admitted. “I guess the biggest thing was, what made her change her mind because we’d had no interaction before that?”

What happened during the episode?

During the episode that aired on Sunday, April 21, host Samantha Armytage told the contestants that the move was about to make FWAW history.

Olivia with Sam Armytage on Farmer Wants a Wife. Seven.

“I have had a very unusual request. In fact, this is something that has never, ever happened before on Farmer Wants a Wife,” she said.

“One of the ladies who wasn’t invited back to Bert’s farm has reached out to me and asked for a second chance at finding love.”

Sam explained that the mystery woman wasn’t come back for Bert, before reintroducing Olivia.

Olivia asks Farmer Joe for a chance

Olivia turned heads as she strutted through a country fair to meet up with the FWAW crew. Once there, she told Sam Armytage that she was looking to explore things with Farmer Joe.

“So Joe â€” when he first walked in, he walked in with a cheeky grin and I thought, ‘Oh I’m in trouble’,” she told the group.

“So yeah I just came back to shoot my shot and see if there’s a connection,” she added.

Olivia with Farmer Joe and his Ladies. Seven.

The group was informed that Olivia would join Farmer Joe’s date, and he would make a decision at the end about whether he wanted to invite her back to his farm.

“I’m obviously very flattered that she wanted to come meet me, but at the same time all the ladies in our household are very tight-knit,” Joe said in a confessional.

“I think there’s going to be a little animosity with Olivia joining us.”

Did Farmer Joe invite Olivia back to his farm?

Farmer Joe and Olivia spent time together on the country fair date and shared a romantic moment where they watched the fireworks together.

During that exchange, Joe and Olivia put their arms around each other, making it look very much like he would invite her back to his farm.

Olivia and Farmer Joe. Seven.

However, that wasn’t the case.

“Olivia, to her credit, I can’t respect her enough. Walking down there in front of everyone, and just putting herself out there, it was pretty amazing to see.

“Unfortunately, I feel like I’d be doing, to all the other girls on my farm, a discredit to bring you back and I’m sorry about that,” Famer Joe said.

MasterChef Australia judge Poh Ling Yeow has revealed her age and your jaw is gonna drop

Fans have been left shocked after discovering Poh Ling Yeow’s real age.

In December, the brand new MasterChef judge took to Instagram to celebrate her birthday and revealed that she’d just turned 50.

“I turned THE BIG FIVE O yesterday & here’s 5 things I’ve learned along the way,” Poh wrote on December 20th, 2023.

Poh’s list included having a “red hot go”, making “friends with uncertainty” and “enjoying the climb”.

“Let things flow towards you. Anything I’ve wanted too much tends to bite me in the bum 🍑,” she included in her advice.

Of course, Poh’s been on reality TV for a while, so it shouldn’t come as a surprise that she’s not actually a spring chicken anymore – even though she may look like she is.

Poh first appeared on TV on Beat the Chef back in 2005, and her first MasterChef appearance was in 2009. She returned to MasterChef in 2020, and was announced as a judge for the 2024 season.

Fans react to Poh revealing she’s 50

Fans struggled to get their head around the fact that Poh is 50, and flooded her post with comments about how young she looks.

“Happy Birthday Poh! You don’t look a day over 30. What’s your secret?” One wrote.

“You can’t be 50! You must be really bad at maths,” another penned.

Julie Goodwin opens up about hitting rock bottom and reveals what saved her life

MasterChef winner and established chef Julie Goodwin has opened up about the lowest point in her life and addressed the trauma that put her there.

**CONTENT WARNING: This article references suicide and sexual assault and may be triggering to some readers.**

In a shocking interview with Channel 10’s The Project, Julie revealed that she thought about ending her own life, but was saved by two passersbys.

“I couldn’t see how to keep living. I didn’t want to leave my family but I just honestly believed that they would be a lot better off if I did,” she told host Hamish Macdonald.

Julia explained that she hit rock bottom when she was on her way to a football game, and said she wandered away to a park to go for a swim, unsure if she’d come back out of the water.

“I didn’t know where I was walking, I was just walking away from the football game I was meant to be going to. I ended up a couple of Ks down the road in a park,” she said.

It was a small detail, that bought Julia some more time that ultimately ended up saving her life. She was wearing a pair of shoes that were bought by her son, and she couldn’t decide whether she should take them off or leave them on when she went into the water.

“I just couldn’t figure it out, I just thought is it going to be too painful if my shoes are still here,” she said.

“Because my son had given them to me and I just didn’t know what that would mean for him and I knew I was going to be causing a lot of pain but in my head it would be the last time I would cause that pain.

“But I just couldn’t get my head around what to do with this pair of shoes and what would be the least painful thing to do with this pair of shoes.”

How two strangers saved Julie Goodwin’s life

While Julia was debating what to do with her shoes, two strangers noticed that something wasn’t right with her and came up to talk to her.

“I’d run into this young couple and their dog and they asked if I was OK and I eventually said ‘yeah I am’ and we went our separate ways but something told them to come back, they came and sat next to me on the bench and said ‘we just thought we’d hang out with you for a bit, you seem like you could use some company’. And they stayed with me for a couple of hours,” she said.

The time with the strangers stopped Julie from endangering her own life, and she decided to reach out for help. Julie was checked into a mental health ward, which helped her understand her own feelings.

“That was so surreal, how has my life come to this? How was I here?” Julie said she asked herself.

Julie Goodwin’s trauma

Julie has since written a memoir titled Your Time Starts Now, which describes the trauma she endured that negatively affected her mental Health. The former chef school owner revealed that she was sexually abused as a seven-year-old child.

“I’ve written about a way that I was harmed during childhood, the only reasons really for writing that down is, first of all, because it does give context to the breaking down as a teenager and other things that happened, and the second reason is if anyone else has been harmed as a child, abused as a child, to let me be a
cautionary tale, if you pack that away it’s going to come back.

“You can put it in a box and you can put the box in the attic but one day that box is going to open and it’s going to fall down the stairs and make a messy life.”

Fortunately, Julie has found herself in a better place mentally, with the full support of her family.

An old photo of the Goodwin family. Ten.

“I’m so much better, I’ve changed my whole life to be better. Back when things were really bad I thought ‘I’ve got to burn everything to the ground’, and that’s kind of what I did.

“I’ve lost – I haven’t lost – I’ve chosen to leave my radio career, I’ve chosen to close my cooking school and now I just take opportunities that pop up on an ad hoc basis.

“I paint, I swim in the ocean, I spend time with my granddaughter. And the big lesson for me is that everything is a choice and I exercise those choices and my life is so much better for it.”

“I am my own hero”: Skye Wheatley on her incredible I’m a Celebrity 2024 win

During the April 21 Grand Finale, Skye Wheatley was crowned Queen of the I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here Australia 2024 jungle, genuinely surprising herself in the process!

Viewers voted the 30-year-old into every type of trial imaginable including the infamous Viper Room, which she calmy aced, staying in the darkened coffin of snakes for 12 minutes.

Now, speaking to Chattr from the South African jungle the morning after her win, Skye admitted that she had no idea what she was capable of.

“I did not know that I could overcome those fears,” she said. “I overcame so many in the Jungle. I put a lot of pressure on myself, and to be able to show myself that I am my own hero, is the best!”

Speaking of the Viper Room, the mother-of-two admitted that after this particular achievement, she “didn’t even care what people thought of me”, after having walked into the Jungle knowing that people underestimated her.

“I feel like everyone always judges a book by their cover,” she said. “And I feel like I’m guilty of doing that all the time. So, it was really nice to be able to show what I am made of and what I’m worth. I even surprised myself. I genuinely surprised myself.”

Skye had three things that kept her going

From the disgusting Tucker Trials to being bitten by a snake and having things blown up in her face, Skye went through it all — even hilariously saying at one point: “We’re not in the Gold Coast anymore!”.

But, according to the former Big Brother Australia star, she needed to remain “strong”.

“I went through absolute trauma,” she said. “Everything triggered me but I just had to be strong for my boys and for myself and for my charity, so that was all playing on my mind.

“Every time I went through something traumatic, I was just like ‘My boys. Myself. My charity.’ I was like I have to be strong for all of these three reasons and that was enough to keep me going.”

What Skye Wheatley learned from I’m a Celebrity 2024

Overall, Skye learned a lot about herself in the Jungle and was incredibly “grateful” to be a part of the I’m a Celebrity series.

“There were so many lessons that I learned in the Jungle and I felt like it taught me so much,” she said. “I felt so grateful to be there. I just thought to myself, how many people get to experience this in their lifetime? Not everyone has this chance in their life to face their fears and I got to face my fears for the very first time, and it was exhilarating!

“It was the most exciting thing for me. For me to be able to overcome that was just such a massive achievement.”

MasterChef’s Andy Allen reveals heart-wrenching decision to come back following Jock Zonfrillo’s death

Andy Allen faced a “big decision” about whether to return as a Judge for season 16 of MasterChef Australia in 2024.

After the tragic loss of Jock Zonfrillo before the season 15 premiere in 2023, returning to the famed kitchen was a daunting task, particularly because of the fierce friendship he had with his co-host and friend.

“There are a lot of feelings and there were feelings from before we began filming, to be honest,” Andy told Chattr in an interview before the April 22 premiere.

“I actually wasn’t sure if I was going to come back. It was a really big decision for me because Jock and I were two peas in a pod and we just loved doing it [judging] with each other.”

He continued: “I’m so glad I could build up the courage to come back because I would so regret it. I would so regret that because of just what MasterChef is, and being able to fly the flag for Jock and continue on what we started with Poh [Ling Yeow], Jean-Christophe [Novelli] and Sophia [Levin] and all our new contestants, I’m so happy with how it’s turned out.”

Andy Allen says the new judges embody the “MasterChef energy”

Speaking of his new judges, Andy said that the foursome embody the “MasterChef energy”.

“The MasterChef kitchen brings out the best in whoever walks through the doors whether you’re a contestant or a judge. It’s just such a positive and energetic environment,” he said before admitting it was also “instant” with himself, Jock and Mel [Leong] and any guest chefs that walked through the doors.

“Yes, Jean-Christophe, Poh and Sofia have amazing talent, but it really is brought out on the show,” he said. “Also they’re just bloody good people and if they’re bloody good people, I know it’s gonna work.”

Of course, for many fans, the series became synonymous with the second generation judges who joined the series in 2019 and now, the 35-year-old will continue that legacy.

“I feel proud,” he said. “I’ll never forget being a contestant on season four and feeling so out of my depth in that kitchen. I am really proud because I’ve grown so much as a person and I’ve been able to do that while being part of the best cooking show in the world.

“I owe so much to MasterChef and I’m just really really proud that I can give back to it and do a good job.”

Betting odds hint the I’m A Celebrity 2024 winner has leaked and who of the three will it be?

As the number of contestants whittles down on I’m A Celebrity Australia 2024, we get closer and closer to the new winner being crowned.

The series is filmed live, so there’s no way to know who the new Jungle Monarch will be until the results are announced. However, betting odds give a good suggestion about who may take out the w.

Considering that the winner is decided by public vote, betting indications certainly give a great insight into which way they’re leaning.

The Split teams on I'm A Celebrity
I’m A Celebrity contestants. Ten.

Mega Influencer and former reality star Skye Wheatley may have been voted into Tucker Trial after Tucker Trial, but it doesn’t appear that the public is voting her in because they want to see her suffer.

It’s quite the opposite actually, as Skye clearly has the best odds to be voted the winner of I’m A Celebrity Australia 2024.

What are the current betting odds for the winner of I’m A Celebrity Australia 2024?

At the time of writing, Skye has a return of just $1.44 to win, making her the front-runner.

Not far behind her is Love Island star Callum Hole with $2.87. Then, in third and last place is Tristan MacManus with odds of $6.50.

Callum Hole on I’m A Celebrity. Ten.

How do betting odds work?

Betting odds are tied to dollar amounts, and those with lower odds are recognised as more likely to win, hence the lower return. For example, if someone bets $1 on Skye and she wins, they’d receive the amount she’s listed at, which is $1.44.

The return is multiple. based on how much someone bets, so if they bet $10.00 on her, they’d receive $14.40. If they bet $100, they’d receive $144 and so on.

Skye Wheatley on I'm a Celebrity
Skye on I’m A Celebrity. Ten.

Do betting odds correctly guess the winner?

Technically no, because it’s illegal for anyone who has insider information about the winner to bet. However, they do generally give a good idea of who will take out the series.

For example, Kale and Tyra had the best offs of winning Love Island Australia at just $1.50, and they were crowned the winners.

Similarly so, betting odds suggested that Feras Basal would win Australian Survivor 2024, which he did.

“We have to wait”: MAFS’ Eden Harper reveals exactly when the cast will get their Instagram back

It’s well known that the Married At First Sight cast doesn’t have access to their Instagram after the show finishes airing, and Eden Harper explains why and reveals exactly when they’ll get access again.

Eden recently took to Instagram to reveal that she and her on-screen husband Jayden Eynaud had broken up, and the announcement caused fans to assume that she’d been given back access to her account.

However, Eden revealed that wasn’t the case, and that the post wasn’t actually shared by her.

“No, we don’t have our Instagram back yet,” she told The Pulse with Seany B & Emma G. “Channel Nine submitted it on my behalf.”

Eden explained that there was one key way to tell when the cast would get full access to their Instagram accounts.

“That’s why the comments are off. Once the comments are back on, that’s when you know we’ve got out accounts back,” she added.

Exactly when the MAFS cast will get their social media back

The MAFS cast already has access to their TikTok, which is where Eden also shared the break-up post and could read the comments from fans.

“The comments are on on my TikTok so I’ve seen it all already,” she said. “I haven’t really copped that much hate, so I’m pretty safe.”

@edenharpr

When I made the decision at final vows to be with Jayden, I really did that with longterm intentions. Jayden & I spent many months together after the experiment, during which Cub gained a dad and I gained a second family who I'm truly grateful for. I'm saddened to share that toward the end of the show airing, our relationship came to an unexpected end. The 'reality' is, the person I chose didn't chose me. Whilst I'm disappointed, I will never regret the experiment, the people I met, the lessons I learnt and the growth this process has had on me. Thank you for supporting us and for also wishing for the same fairytale that I had hoped for.

She revealed why the contestants have to wait to use their Instagram.

“We’ve got to wait till it finishes in the UK,” she revealed. The Reunion Finale is scheduled to air on UK channel E4 on May 6th, which means the cast should be spilling tea on socials in early May.

MAFS Lauren will post on Instagram

When did last year’s contestants get their social media accounts back?

The 2023 class of MAFS regained full control of their social media accounts in early May, which was just over a month after the final episode of the season aired.

That timeline aligns perfectly with when this year’s cast is expected to get their accounts back.

“I was so proud”: I’m a Celebrity’s Ellie Cole on being the first Paralympian to enter the jungle

I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here 2024’s Ellie Cole made history when she became the first Paralympian in the show’s history to compete for Queen of the Jungle.

During her swimming career, Ellie took home seventeen Paralympic medals, four Commonwealth medals, three world titles and nine Pan Pacific gold medals — an incredible feat!

Speaking to Chattr after her elimination, the 32-year-old was thrilled by the “diverse backgrounds” of her campmates, while also being “proud” of being a part of the group.

“I think the cast this year and the campmates this year, I’m a Celebrity absolutely nailed it,” she said. “It was an amazing, interesting group of people and I was so proud to be one of those people, particularly since there’s never been anyone in Australia with a physical disability or a Paralympian, usually the athletes are Olympians.”

Adding that it was “nice to be able to represent my Para-athlete friends”, she admitted that other Paralympians would have been “kicking the door down” with excitement.

“That was really special for me,” she said. “I always knew that this show was such a great platform for so many conversations and that I was going to be able to speak about what it’s like to be a parent, what it’s like to live in Australia with a disability and what my experiences were like growing up with one.

“I was just really happy to get to have a platform like this one because this show has been so wholesome. And they’re so great at creating interesting conversations and I just couldn’t wait to literally walk right into camp for four weeks to do that.”

During her time in Camp, Ellie candidly discussed her experience of losing a leg to cancer at the age of three while telling inspiring stories from her remarkable athletic career; however, it was when she took on the role of swimming coach for Stephen K. Amos, that she had one of the best experiences of her life.

“I had an amazing moment with every single person to be honest,” she said, “But, I think the one that stands out to me the most is with Steven and the waterfall….As Steven was approaching the waterfall, he got about two metres away and his eyes looked up and he saw the waterfall and his eyes lit up and just had this big smile across his face. Like, ‘I’ve made it’.

“I think that would be one of the top 10 experiences in my life being able to see that look on his face.”

While a very special (and tear-inducing moment indeed), there was one moment that didn’t make it to air that only Tristan Macmanus was privy to!

“I told him a story that I had not even told Sylvia [her wife]. I’ve not told anybody that story!” she said. “It was the most embarrassing thing I’ve ever done and he thought it was so funny.

“It was so bad that I had to swear every third word when I was telling him so that they literally could not put it on air!” GENIUS!

Well, now we really want to hear it!

“Completely out of the blue”: MAFS’ Eden breaks her silence about why Jayden dumped her

Eden Harper and Jayden Eynaud took to their respective Instagrams to announce their break up, and now Eden has explained what really went down between the Married At First Sight couple.

Eden explained that she and Jayden’s relationship was going strong post-filming, and she was “blindsided” when he dumped her.

“It happened towards the end of the show airing. I can’t really remember the exact date,” Eden told Yahoo Lifestyle Australia. “But it was towards those last couple of weeks of the show being on TV. It was completely out of the blue for me, a bit of a blindside I suppose… it was just like a normal night. And he just said, ‘Yeah, I’m done’.”

“There was no argument, no nothing. He just said it out of the blue. I definitely did try to reason with him and try to figure it out and see if it was things we could work on, if he felt a certain way about anything… and yeah there was nothing. Nothing for him.”

Are Jayden and Eden on good terms?

Considering that MAFS started filming in approximately August 2023, Jayden and Eden had been dating for about eight months by the time the episodes had finished airing.

Despite spending much of their time together of that period, Eden said that Jayden had completely cut her off.

“I wanted to have a friendship and to be civil, but yeah, he hasn’t responded. This must just be the way he deals with things, I suppose,” she said.

Eden compared Jayden to his brother Mitch Eynaud

Avid MAFS fans will remember that Jayden’s brother Mitch Eynaud was on MAFS 2022, and he brutally dumped Ella Ding at Final Vows. The couple got back together before the Reunion Dinner Party, but then split again shortly after.

Reflecting on the similarities between the brothers, Eden said there were a lot.

“There are a lot of differences with Jayden and Mitch, but there are a lot of similarities too, definitely. I do think there are distinct differences that are probably the ones that he spoke about on the show, like Jayden is wildly disciplined,” she said.

“He doesn’t care so much for friends and a social life and stuff like that. He’s really focused and obsessive, almost, on his sport.”

“But they can be a little bit of a smartass at times,” she laughed. “You know, that, like the banter between them. You can tell they’re brothers.”

I’m a Celebrity’s Skye Wheatley was booted from the line-up of Big Brother 2022 over viral backlash

I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here 2024’s Skye Wheatley has spoken about how she was booted from appearing on Big Brother 2022, just weeks before the series went to air.

During the April 18 episode of I’m a Celebrity, Skye said that a controversial Instagram Q&A about her longtime partner Lachlan Waugh had received such backlash that she was scrapped from the line-up via email.

“It started blowing up, getting posted to other pages,” she said. “She’s making her partner have unconsensual sex. [sic] I had to post an apology explaining myself.”

Adding that it was the “perfect example of how things get twisted”, she added that the business they had started at the time, Good People Apparel, was given the name from that situation.

“I would often vent to my best friend and say like: ‘Why can’t people just be good people?’” she said.

What was in the post that got Skye booted from Big Brother?

After one fan asked the question “Who is more dominant in bed?”, Skye wrote a series of “haha’s” before saying: “Me…But only when he mad and says he doesn’t wonna have sex.

“Ain’t nobody telling me no… I won’t take no for an answer if I want sessi time. [sic]”

Skye’s controversial Instagram Post got her scrapped from the Big Brother lineup. Instagram

“All these brands that sponsored me they said they didn’t want to be associated with me because of the hate surrounding my name,” she said of the post.

“Now I’m constantly paranoid about what I’m saying. I’m always worrying I’m offending someone or have said something rude. I know things can be taken so far out of context that it’s scary, so I have had to restrict myself a lot in what I say.”

Skye first appeared in Big Brother 2014, placing third behind winner Ryan Ginns and runner-up Travis Lunardi.

A popular Home and Away actor left Summer Bay for Heartbreak High

Home and Away fans may know him as Jett from Summer Bay, but Aussie actor Will McDonald has a more recent gig as an eshay named Cash on Heartbreak High.

Will McDonald plays Douglas “Ca$h” Piggott, who is a Year 11 student at Hartley High. Cash is the high school’s drug dealer. He’s dating his classmate Darren Rivers (James Majoos), but their relationship has faced some problems because Cash is asexual.

Will’s role in season two of Heartbreak High has become especially poignant, as it has shined a light on asexuality in mainstream media.

In a recent interview with Chattr, Will touched on the bad boys ways of his character in season two, calling Cash “danger. Just danger all the time and from all possible angles.”

Who did Will play on Home And Away?

Will played Jett Palmer on Home and Away from 2012-2015 and appeared again for cameos in 2017 and 2019.

Will McDonald on Home and Away. Seven.

Much like Heartbreak High, Will was originally cast on Home and Away as a rebellious 13-year-old boy. His mum was a drug addict and his father wasn’t around, so John Palmer and his then-wife Gina (Sonia Todd) fostered him. He was later officially adopted by John and (his now ex-wife) Marilyn.

Jett left Summer Bay in 2015 when he received a cadet scholarship to boarding school.

Although Jett hasn’t been back to the Bay since 2017, he was mentioned in a recent episode. John told Marilyn that he’d recently got engaged to his girlfriend.

“He’s proposed to Lindsey and she’s said yes,” John told Marilyn.

“I knew that this was on the cards when I was down – they were just smitten with each other. [Lindsey’s] great – you two will get on like a house on fire.”

Watch Home and Away at 7pm Monday – Thursdays on Channel 7 and 7Play.

Jono who? MAFS Lauren Dunn’s been snapped getting very cosy with her ex-boyfriend

Married At First Sight’s Lauren Dunn has been doing the rounds on the Perth party scene since filming wrapped, and, apparently, hanging out with her very recent ex.

Lauren sensationally dumped her MAFS husband Jonathan McCullough at Final Vows after she discovered he was messaging fellow bride Ellie Dix. However, despite not being involved with Jonathan, Lauren may not be single?

One of her pals uploaded a photo of her at The Muster Rodeo & Music Festival In Claremont, Perth on Saturday with the arm of her ex, AFL player Ryan Crowley, around her. Instagram account MAFS.Bachie.Reality quickly sleuthed out the photo and reposted it – and Lauren and her ex look very cosy.

MAFS Lauren (second from right) with her ex Ryan (third from right).

“Lauren was going around introducing him as her ex and appeared quite flirty with one another,” a source told Daily Mail Australia of the couple’s night out together.

How long was Lauren with her ex?

Lauren and Ryan dated for over five years and split in June 2023, with the filming of MAFS 2024 kicking off in approximately July 2023. Lauren told PerthNow that the relationship has “simply run its course”.

Who is Lauren’s ex?

Lauren’s ex is a former AFL player who played for the Dockers for ten seasons. He won the 2012 Doig medal for being Fremantle’s best and fairest on the field – a football awards event that Lauren has attended with Ryan.

Following his time with the Dockers, Ryan played for Essendon for one season in 2016 and now works as an AFL commentator.

Who is MAFS Jonathan with now?

Lauren and Jonthan’s MAFS marriage got off to a rough start but seemed to pick up traction mid-way through the season. However, that all came crashing down when Tori revealed that Jonathan had been messaging fellow bride Ellie Dix.

Lauren and Jonathan split up at the Final Vows, and the groom went on to pursue a relationship with Ellie. The new couple have since moved in together and are in love.
