Farmer Wants a Wife (FWAW) promos teased the show’s “hottest farmers ever” this year, and judging by fan reactions after the premiere, viewers seem to agree.
A clip showing Dylan, Alex, Zac, Jason and Jarrad entering The Convent for the Farmers’ Choice Ceremony was flooded with Facebook comments from fans weighing in on the Farmers’ good looks.
“I’m not into blokes in that way, but I do acknowledge that they’re a bunch of good looking fellas,” one person wrote, while another penned: “A good looking bunch of farmers this year.”
The viewers also had strong opinions about the Ladies on FWAW 2026, with some believing that they might not be a good fit to be farmers’ wives.
“Guys are all outstanding but some of the girls are a bit over the top,” one wrote. “Some girls are too high maintenance and the farmers will fall for their looks and then be heartbroken when the girls can’t cope,” another commented.
In an interview with Chattr, Farmer Jarrad said it was obvious to see which Ladies didn’t have genuine intentions for being on the show.
“I can only speak from my experience, obviously. After going on the show, I think you can sort of pick up pretty quick the ones that are genuine after spending a bit of time with the girls,” he explained.
“I was really lucky, like I had a really lovely group of girls on my farm, so, but yeah, I don’t know, it’s just a feeling, I think. You can sort of feel it, and you can tell when someone’s being genuine and is really looking for a relationship.”
What really happened with Bene’s fainting incident in the FWAW 2026 premiere?
The very first episode of FWAW 2026 saw a bunch of women packing before they even got a chance to visit the farmers’ farms. Among them was Bene, who suffered a medical emergency and fainted after Farmer Jason told her that she was eliminated.
Reflecting on the incident, Bene told Chattr that she remembers everything going silent before realising she was going to faint.
“I remember starting to get that tunnel vision and that whooshing sound, and I was like, ‘Oh shit, no, no, no, I’m not about to faint.’ I remember changing my stance to standing on both feet to try and balance, and that was when I stumbled and grabbed Brittany, and I just remember being like, ‘Oh, I’m going down’,” Bene recalled.
The FWAW contestant explained that she believes the realisation that her journey was over after months of preparation is what caused her to become overwhelmed.
“There was so much going through my mind. You see 10 minutes of my journey on the episode, but what you don’t see is the months leading up to that: submitting an application, doing a video interview, having an audition, meeting the producers, taking time off work, organising care for my daughter,” she said.
