This podcast host reckons Eric Stonestreet is the worst guest she’s ever had

If you think that Cam from Modern FamilyEric Stonestreet — is likely the loveliest person in the world, podcast host Taylor Strecker‘s firsthand opinion of the actor is here to shake things up.

During an episode of Amazon Live’s In Bed With Paige DeSorbo (if you don’t listen to her Giggly Squad podcast with Hannah Berner, you should), Strecker did not hold back on her experience with the Modern Family star.

Well, this should be interesting! Image: Modern Family

“Who’s the worst guest you’ve ever had on your podcast?” DeSorbo asked Strecker, who is the host of the Taste of Taylor podcast.

Unfazed, Strecker dropped Stonestreet’s name like the hot tea it is.

“He’s [Cameron Tucker] from Modern Family, and he’s like the chubby, jolly, sweet, funny one,” Strecker clarified when DeSorbo didn’t recognise the name.

“Could he be anything but… nasty!”

Strecker explained she quickly learned he was on her podcast to promote none other than Pepto-Bismol.

For the uninitiated, Pepto-Bismol is an anti-diarrhoea medication that’s a staple in American households but not available in Australia.

“I didn’t know!” Strecker explained.

Why was Eric Stonestreet her “worst” guest?

“So we’re chatting away, and I’m being my adorable self, and then he hits me with, ‘So when are we gonna talk about Pepto-Bismol?’”

Trying to roll with it, Strecker joked, “I have hemorrhoids. I’m the queen of diarrhea. I love Pepto-Bismol! We can talk about whatever you want.”

That was when she explained that things got a little sassy, if you will.

“And he said to me — and I quote — ‘Somebody didn’t do their homework.,” Strecker recalled.

As someone who interviews people in media regularly, that’s a pretty rough thing to hear.

“I said, ‘I’m sorry. Am I getting paid by Pepto-Bismol? No. So that’s your job to figure out, not mine.”

You know when people are relaying a story and it’s unclear if they actually said that thing or just thought it in response? I really hope she said that to him for the popcorn value alone.

It’s understood that the podcast appearance was likely around the time of his 2011 partnership with Pepto-Bismol for a Feeding America campaign.

I’d love to know the thoughts of whoever was the Pepto-Bismol publicist at the time. You know what they say? There are 17 sides to every story.

Dream Home 2024: Step inside Lara and Peter’s completed house

Dream Home 2024’s Lara and Peter turned over the keys to their 1960s red-brick home in the hopes of it returning as a coastal Mediterranean-inspired oasis.

The NSW couple got exactly what they wished for thanks to the hard work of Jordan and Jacinta, Brad and Mel, and Rhys and Liam.

While there’s no doubt that Lara and Peter’s home looks stunning, it’s also jumped considerably in value. Before the Dream Home 2024 renovations, their home was worth $2.25 million. Now, it’s jumped $700,000 and is valued at  $2.95 million, according to View.

Chelsea Handler roasts Sam Taunton over Margot Robbie pregnancy joke

Esteemed US comedian Chelsea Handler told The Project host Sam Taunton exactly how she felt about the Margot Robbie pregnancy joke he made and it wasn’t pretty.

Rumours quickly spread yesterday that Robbie and her partner, Tom Ackerley, were expecting their first child after paparazzi shots of the actress sporting an exposed stomach surfaced.

As Australia’s golden girl, it’s no surprise that Robbie’s reported pregnancy with Ackerley was a topic of conversation on the entertainment news program, The Project.

What was the Margot Robbie pregnancy joke?

“I’ve seen the Barbie movie by the way,” Taunton said. “It’s going to have to be a C-section.”

The joke didn’t immediately land with his cohosts, who started asking what he meant.

“About her in the Barbie movie?” he continued.

“What do you mean?” cohost Georgie Tunny asked.

“She doesn’t have a… [vagina],” Taunton finished.

What did Chelsea Handler say to Sam Taunton?

Later in The Project episode, which aired Monday, June 8, Handler joined the desk to promote her upcoming comedy tour titled ‘Little Big Bitch’.

“Before you get started, I want to touch on your Barbie joke,” Handler told Taunton.

“How can you even make a joke like that when you know a comedian is coming on the show? That’s humiliating for both of us,” she roasted him.

“It was a really bad joke. I felt so bad for you.”

Obviously aware of the cringe-worthy joke, Taunton told Handler that he was hoping it would never be brought up again.

“I had to,” Handler replied.

Sarah Harris and Tunny looked visibly uncomfortable as the exchange was happening, but also like they were low-key loving it. Who doesn’t love a good roast of their mate?

While it was definitely a case of two comedians joking with one another, it’s got to hurt to be schooled by someone so iconic on national television!

Handler’s tour kicks off in Melbourne Tuesday, July 9, and will also stop in Brisbane and Sydney. Buy tickets here.

Um, Home Cook Josh ‘Pezza’ Perry had recipes published before going on MasterChef Australia

MasterChef Australia 2024′s Josh ‘Pezza’ Perry loves a good cut of meat, and, being a butcher, he certainly knows what to do with it!

The home cook’s meat knowledge is second to none, and he even runs his own small butcher shop in Tasmania.

Here’s everything we know about MasterChef Australia‘s Josh.

Josh has had his recipes published

Although he’s considered a home cook, Josh has actually had some of his cooking work published prior to going on MasterChef Australia 2024.

In 2021, he shared a post on Instagram announcing that he’d been published in The Butcher’s Cook Book.

“Pretty happy with the Butcher’s Cookbook that I got a couple of my own recipes in along with 50 other butchers around Australia,” he wrote.

Josh owns a butcher shop

Josh owns a butcher in Tassie called Perry’s Quality Meats, which is dubbed the state’s “best paddock-to-plate butcher”.

And, he’s definitely well-versed in local meats. Josh is a former livestock agent who feeds his own cattle to sell.

The butcher shop is a family affair, and Josh works alongside his wife of 20 years and best friend Jen. His two sons have also worked at Perry’s Quality Meats in the past.

Josh at his butcher shop

Josh’s personal life

When Josh isn’t busy at the butcher, he’s using his own meat to make some mouthwatering meals for his family. Every Sunday he cooks for his wife, four kids and his three young grandkids. Of course, his cooking method of choice is the BBQ.

Josh’s passion for food was ingrained from a young age, and he learnt to cook by his Mum, Nan and Aunt.

His ultimate dream is to open a small paddock-to-plate-style restaurant in Tasmania.

However, as the season is wrapping up there’s been a schedule change.

Taeler and Elle on Dream Home. Seven.

Is Dream Home on this Sunday?

It’s not! Dancing With The Stars kicks off this Sunday, and it will be airing during Dream Home’s regular Sunday spot.

That means that the next episode of Dream Home will air on Monday, July 8 at 7:30pm on Channel 7 and 7plus.

When is the finale of Dream Home Australia?

The season finale will drop on Tuesday, July 9 at 7:30pm on Channel 7 and 7Plus.

Who’s in the final episodes of Dream Home Australia?

Monday’s episode will see all six teams be judged by Rosie, Lana and Simon on their final renovation.

From there, only the top three teams will go through to the finale, and three will be setting packing.

At the time of writing, Rhys and Liam are in first place with 128 points, Lara and Peter are in second place with 127.5 and Taeler and Elle are sitting in third at 125.5.

However, Hannah and Jonny sit just below the cut line by three points, so an epic renovation by the Queensland parents could see them stay in the competition.

“Imposter syndrome”: Mimi opens up about her turning point on MasterChef Australia

Following her elimination last night, MasterChef Australia fan-favourite Mimi Wong says she felt like she experienced imposter syndrome during the reality TV competition.

Her elimination on July 7 during the Beast Ingredient Challenge came as a shock to many fans, who had pegged her to be in the MasterChef Grand Final. However, she didn’t necessarily feel like a stand-out competitor at the beginning of the season.

“I definitely had a large bout of impostor syndrome and insecurity in the beginning, especially considering how many talented people I was cooking around,” she told Chattr in a post-elimination interview.

Mimi was eliminated on last night’s episode. Image: Ten.

Mimi said that as she made it through every week, she began to have more faith in her cooking.

“I think as soon as I’ve found my niche and what I like to do, like being creative and fusing things that never go along together together, I had much more fun,” she told Chattr.

“I had much more confidence knowing that that was what I did well, and what I enjoyed doing. It definitely helped propel me forward to find that confidence and comfortability.”

Mimi’s turning point in the competition

Mimi emerged as a frontrunner midway through the season when she began serving up the judges’ dishes, which were met with unanimous praise.

Looking back, the high school teacher said that she really found her footing during the iconic MasterChef Croquembouche Challenge.

“That was incredibly unforgettable. To this day, it’s my favourite episode for the whole season,” she fondly recalled.

“I had so much fun in that challenge that day, I didn’t even think about winning or competing. I was just like, I just want to get this done for me, because making a croquembouche in two and a half hours is insane and then it just ended up turning out the way that it did.

“I surprised myself and it was a huge confidence boost and a huge kind of moment of looking in the mirror and being like you actually have it in you to go further than you think.”

Mimi is, of course, referring to her Chocolate-Spiced Choux Au Craquelin filled with Miso Pumpkin Crème Patisserie which saw her win the challenge.

Mimi weighs in on Josh ‘Pezza’ Perry’s controversial Beast Ingredient Challenge dish

During Mimi’s elimination episode, she originally planned on making brioche with her soft-shell crab, but after her bread failed to rise, she found herself having to pivot to a different dish not once, but twice.

The change in direction likely played into the reason she was eliminated from the competition.

Meanwhile, Josh ‘Pezza’ Perry served up a steak dish with two store-bought bread croutons sitting on top. Fans on social media were shocked that he didn’t make the bread himself, and believe that it was unfair that Mimi was penalised for trying to make a version of homemade bread. However, Mimi believes her elimination was fair.

Mimi’s dish (left) and Pezza’s dish (right). Ten.

“It is tricky to look at it in terms of a bread vs bread situation,” she modestly pointed out. “He also had many different elements to play in that dish. As the competition goes, I did miss the brief with a little bit more insistence there and I feel like it was well deserved that I had to leave.”

“I don’t think it would have been a great idea to make that comparison of my brain because it’ll just cause me pain,” she added.

Dream Home 2024: Step inside Liam and Rhys’ completed house

Dream Home 2024’s Rhys and Liam may be competing as a team, but it’s Liam’s home that got the complete overhaul.

Liam helped his brother Rhys renovate his home prior to coming on the show, so the boys decided it was time for Rhys to return the favour and get to work on Liam’s.

His house was once a dated 1970s Deception Bay in Brisbane’s north, but thanks to Brad and Mel, Hannah and Jonny and Jacinta and Jordan, it’s now a swanky-looking residence.

The brothers gave their castmates the brief of a coastal-Scandi theme with a style that works for a young family of three, and boy, did they nail it.

“Really challenging”: Dream Home’s Taeler and Elle reveal their major disadvantage

Dream Home’s Elle and Taeler haven’t been scared to manipulate situations to improve their chances of winning at each week’s judging ceremony.

A case in point is when they decided to use communal money to buy artwork for the stairwell that complimented their own room.

However, during an interview with Chattr, the Victorian sisters share the reasoning behind their tactics.

The concept on the show involves contestants renovating their fellow castmates’ houses, which means each team gets to walk away with a beautiful new house, regardless of whether they win the final $100,000 cash prize.

But, there are two teams among the bunch that aren’t couples; Taeler and Elle and Rhys and Liam. Both Taeler and Rhys entered the competition to help their siblings renovate their houses.

Taeler and Elle on Dream Home. Seven.

“We’re in a completely different circumstance from everyone else,” Elle explained. “Everyone else was husband and wife and either way, they’re walking away with their house done and potentially a life-changing prize. So they’ve got a different dynamic.

“I think because of that Tae and I had to approach things differently, and I think that that will play out how it plays out. But, Tae is walking away with giving me something but having nothing in return. That meant that we did have to treat it a bit differently.”

Taeler and Elle believe Rhys and Liam had an advantage

Taeler and Elle are in a similar situation to Rhy and Liam, being that only one member from each team gets to walk away with a renovated house.

Despite Taeler being an architect, the sisters believed that Rhys and Liam had an advantage over them because of their Tradie careers. Rhys is a tiler and Liam is a carpenter.

“At the end of the day, we took on the role of if you had trade experience that will help you because you could help the tradies out on the day-to-day. We couldn’t do that,” Taeler explained.

Rhys and Liam on Dream Home. Seven.

“And then secondary to that is, I guess, an interior background, which I don’t have. The houses obviously had building permits and things like that before going into it. So my work was essentially done as a professional.”

Taeler stressed that they had no upper hand over any of the other teams, and said that they were pushed to their limits during the competition.

“We had to try as hard as everyone else and I found it really challenging to basically learn how to style because I’ve never had to do it before,” she said.

“Such a cool vibe”: Below Deck’s Captain Sandy reveals the surprising career path she almost took

Sandy Yawn is best known for being the only Below Deck female captain, however, the renowned yachting pro almost took another career path.

During an interview with Chattr, Sandy revealed that she dreamt of owning her own hairdressing business when she was younger.

“I wanted to own a hair salon because it has a cool vibe!” She shared.

“But not necessarily to do the hair, but to own the salon, and just walk around and get to know the people, because every time you go to the hair salon, I love all the stories. It’s such a cool vibe!”

Sandy reveals how she handles the crew’s drama on Below Deck

It wouldn’t be a season of Below Deck if there wasn’t drama involved, and season nine certainly hasn’t scrimped in that department.

Between the saga between Bri Muller and Elene ‘Ellie’ Dubiach and their competitiveness over Joe Bradley, things can get hectic in the crew quarters.

Sandy tells Chattr that while she doesn’t see everything that goes on between her staff members when she’s aware there’s an issue going on, she always tries to get to the root of the problem.

“I don’t really see [the drama], so I don’t know it, but if I knew it, I would address it in a way where I could motivate them to stay focused on their job,” she explained.

Captain Sandy with the Below Deck season six cast. Hayu.

“There’s drama everywhere you go, and in every profession. There’s always one that stirs it up. I think I would eliminate the one [causing the drama], however, I [also] believe in people.”

However, she added that she doesn’t like to meddle too much, and often leaves the crew to figure out their dramas on their own.

“I can feel the energy, but I like people to work things out on their own, otherwise, I feel like a parent. How are you going to grow if you don’t figure it out? So I just don’t get involved until I have to.

“Eight chances was enough”: MAFS’ Timothy addresses his feud with Lucinda

Married At First Sight’s Timothy Smith has opened up about his feud with his former TV wife Lucinda Light.

ICYMI, viewers became suss that the couple were on the outs after noticing they’d recently unfollowed each other on Instagram. Now, Tim has addressed their rift.

“Lucinda was a little different to who he had been married to during filming,” he told Yahoo Lifestyle Australia.

Timothy and Lucinda
Lucinda and Timothy on MAFS. Nine.

Lucinda came out of MAFS as one of the most popular contestants, and Tim said that he believed the profile boost changed her.

“The cameras do that to people”, he says. “Lucinda may have buckled under the pressure with so many people wanting a piece of her.”

He added that he “didn’t walk away easily” but felt like “eight chances was enough”.

Timothy wanted to avoid the public eye

Tiothym stressed that he wasn’t jealous of Lucinda’s popularity, but added that he didn’t want to be a “pawn” in the sense of the constant media attention surrounding him and his ex-TV wife.

“Hearing bits and pieces that were untrue, stuff that was twisted, that has been disappointing,” he said.

“I think some people, and I am not just saying Lucinda, but some people have let this spot of notoriety go to their head and I didn’t want to go down that path. The show is over, I had a good time but I really want to go back to my normal life and be me again without the lens of that TV show.

“People have become their characters and that is a dangerous path to go down. You can lose yourself.”

Lucinda and Timothy on MAFS. Nine.

Timothy made it clear that his friendship with Lucinda was over

Timothy cryptically implied the reason why he and Lucinda are no longer closer.

“The fact of the matter is that if you have a problem with me or if you find yourself talking about me in a way you know I wouldn’t appreciate then that is not a good friend,” he said.

Adding: “I don’t want to be a bad guy. I don’t want to slag anyone but we are both now moving in different circles with different priorities.”

“Re-evaluating everything”: MAFS’ Lucinda abandons her merch line

Married At First Sight’s Lucinda Light has announced that she’s abandoning her merchandise brand because she’s feeling overwhelmed.

The reality TV star took to Instagram to tell her followers the news.

“Getting out of Married at First Sight has been both exciting and overwhelming,” she began.

“One rabbit hole I went down was MERCH. I’ve come to a full-blown “nah, no way, not for me.” I mean, for gods sake, I’m not a band 😂. But blessings for this cute design, one of five I had made, now allocated as IG tiles. Putting em on tees or whatevs… well… ‘ it’s not my jam!’ Plus design is so subjective,” she wrote.

Lucinda reveals she’s been overworked since wrapping MAFS

There’s no doubt that Lucinda came out of Married at First Sight 2024 as one of the biggest stars. However, she told her followers that she’s been burning the candle at both ends, which has had a negative physical effect on her.

“I’ve been trying to do it all—spinning all the plates at once and finding myself shackled to my computer most days,” she continued.

“My eyes are sore, my back has been tight, and my body isn’t as fit as I’d like it to be. So, changes are afoot. The solstice had me re-evaluating everything last week, and I realized that what I’ve been doing isn’t sustainable.”

Lucinda on MAFS

The marriage celebrant said that she’s planning to focus on slowing down her day-to-day life so that she can get back to a place of happiness.

“I want to navigate this journey from a place of cup- over-floweth and get back to basics. ‘ Lucinda Dim’ might come and go depending on my cycle & what’s outta my control but mostly I’m committed to sharing love and light, loving you lot and myself on this wild-hearted planetary ride.”

Who’s still in the competition?

At the time of writing, five contestants are still in the running for the MasterChef Australia 2024 finale.

In the final challenge of the week on Tuesday, fish king Josh Niland will set a three-hour pressure test that will push everyone to their limits. Which seafood aficionado Harry will probably be excited about (if he makes it past Sunday’s elim ep).

The MasterChef Australia 2024 Finale will air on Tuesday, 16 July on Channel 10 and 10Play at 7:30pm.

“Extreme body dysmorphia”: MAFS’ Sara Mesa opens up about her eating disorder

Married At First Sight’s Sara Mesa has opened up about her struggle with an eating disorder, and the devastating effect it had on her body.

Sara, who is now a nutritionist, took to her Instagram Story after she was accused of setting a bad example for her followers by posting photos of herself eating pastries and drinking wine.

She explained that she is in a good state of mind, after years of restricted eating while having an unhealthy relationship with her body.

“I was always trying to improve and look a certain way and I had extreme body dysmorphia,” she began. “I did not think that I looked at the way that I looked, I would look at myself in the mirror and think, ‘Oh my god, I’m so fat, oh my god, this could be better, what can I do to improve this?’. I was never, ever content with the way that I looked.”

The extreme physical effects Sara experienced

The former TV bride told her followers that her unhealthy relationship with food led to an extreme physical change.

“What ended up happening was I was so lean, I had so much muscle, I had very little body fat, and I ended up going through such a stressful time in my life,” she explained.

“I ended up losing my hair, having extreme hormonal acne, and going through a depressive state. Not only that, but what ended up happening was I started binge eating and I was self-sabotaging because I didn’t feel that I looked the way that I looked.

“I couldn’t stop eating and I ended up gaining 10kgs. So I went from one extreme to the other because of all of those years of restricting and stopping myself from doing the things that I love and eating the things that I love.”

Sara shared her story to raise awareness

Sara told her followers that she decided to share her eating disorder battle in order to help other people who may be going through something similar.

“As a nutrition and fitness coach, I know what it’s like to feel the weight of society and ‘health norms’ weigh in on you and make you think you need to look a certain way or restrict a certain food,” she told Yahoo Lifestyle.

She explained to her followers that she’s managed to achieve a healthy relationship with her body and has found her “happy medium”.

“Just like every woman out there, I have struggled with my health, fitness and weight and it wasn’t always easy. And comments like that about someone’s body or what they eat should never be made. Women shouldn’t fear food. That’s what’s wrong with the health industry these days. It’s so damaging and we as women need to do better, always supporting and never bringing each other down.”

The segment led to tears from almost every single person in the room. However, MasterChef fans over on Twitter didn’t take kindly to the emotional episode.

Mark your calendars because we know the Hunted: The Million Dollar Heist 2024 air date

Channel 10 has dropped some info on when Hunted: The Million Dollar Heist 2024 will air, but they’ve been a little elusive about the exact premiere date.

Fortunately, we’ve put on our sleuthing hats and have a pretty good idea of when this year’s instalment will kick off.

According to the network’s press release, Hunted 2024 will begin “after The Olympics On 10 And 10 Play. ”

Hunted. Ten.

But when exactly will Hunted 2024 air?

Both seasons one and two of Hunted Australia aired on July 17 in 2022 and 2023, however, this year’s season will be airing slightly later.

The Olympics kick off on July 26 and run until August 11, so a July start for Hunted is off the cards.

Considering that the past two seasons of Hunted have premiered on Mondays, it’s likely that this year’s instalment will kick off on August 14.

Hunted. Ten.

Hunted 2024 has a fresh new twist

The edge-of-your-set series returns for Season Three and follows nine pairs of everyday Australians, dubbed “Fugitives”, on the run from a team of skilled “Hunters” working their goddamned hardest to capture them.

While the first two seasons of Hunted Australia saw its winners split a $100,000 cash prize, 2024 ups the stakes with $1 million up for grabs.

Who is in the cast?

While there’s no word on who the Fugitives are, Channel 10 confirmed that nine teams of two will feature yet again.

Who are the Hunters?

Channel 10 hasn’t officially announced which Hunters will be taking part in this season, but the trailer gives us a good indication. It shows that both Dr David Craig and Ben Owens will be back for 2024.

Hunted. Ten.

Is there a trailer?

In addition to the promo revealing Hunted Australia‘s new title, Channel 10 shared a new trailer on June 30, which you can watch below?

Hunted: The Million Dollar Heist 2024 will premiere after The Olympics On 10 And 10 Play.

“Disagreements between the judges”: Darrsh reveals which MasterChef judge was his favourite

MasterChef Australia has seen a panel of new judges this season, and Darrsh Clarke has revealed which of those he learned the most from.

Darrsh was eliminated during Chef Guillaume’s Brahimi Pressure Test Challenge after judges Poh Ling Yeow, Andy AllenJean-Christophe Novelli and Sofia Levin deemed his dish the least impressive in comparison to Harry and Sav’s.

Despite his elimination, Darrsh told Chattr that he was super proud of himself for making it to the top six, and revealed just how much he learned from the judges during his time on the show.

“There’s a lot of unknowns leading in right, not just from the Australian public, but us as contestants about how things are going to go,” Darrsh said of the new judging lineup.

Darrsh said one judge gave the contestants advice when the cameras weren’t rolling

The Perth-born Home Cook had only good things to say about all four of the 2024 MasterChef Australia judges, but he singled out one in particular.

“I learned the most from Andy,” Darrsh revealed. “I liked getting feedback from all of them, because they would all give their own spin or flavour on it.”

“Andy would really give you tips, not only what was shown, but even the stuff that wasn’t shown. He would come up after a tasting kinda and say, ‘Hey, this was great, but you should have done this or you could have changed this’. He was really tangible with his feedback,” he added.

Darrsh admitted that the judges sometimes didn’t agree on the assessment of the contestant’s dishes, and said this wasn’t always necessarily shown in the episode.

“They didn’t always agree, which you don’t always see; when there are disagreements between the judges,” he said.

Darrsh on what he learnt from MasterChef Australia

Leaving MasterChef Australia 2024 in sixth place, Darrsh said he smashed his hopes of making it to the top ten.

The dessert expert says he’s left the show as a much better cook than when he started.

“I’ve learnt so much, I was saying to my mates the other day that I’ve probably improved as a cook by two or three times.

“Just about savoury, about what flavours were together about how to work clean,” he laughed. “My first Pressure Test was an absolute nightmare and that changed me and I’m the cleanest cook now!”
