“She answered every question with a question, combatively”: Former Channel 7 Hollywood reporter names the worst celebs he’s interviewed

Former Channel 7 Hollywood reporter Nelson Aspen has named dropped the worst celebrities he’s ever interviewed.

Speaking with celebrity interviewer Kjersti Flaa on her YouTube channel, Nelson and the Norwegian journalist discussed some of the worst interviews they’ve ever had.

If Kjersti’s name sounds familiar, it’s because she recently rose to fame after posting an interview with Blake Lively that went viral online.

Nelson has also had interesting interactions with Blake Lively. He interviewed her twice, the first time was for the shark movie The Shallows and the second time was for A Simple Favour.

The first interview with Blake went swimmingly.

“I thought I was looking at a goddess, she is the most beautiful, exquisite creature I’d ever laid eyes on,” he gushed.

“I was really gobsmacked. Her personality matched her beauty. She was fun, she was playful, she great.”

However, according to Nelson, the next encounter with Blake wasn’t so heavenly.

“She answered every question with a question, combatively, it was not pleasant. Anna Kendrick did the same thing, ‘she’s like okay, this is girl power we are going to team up on the journalist’,” he alleged.

“I got through it, we cut it together, so that I had a couple of nice moments because I don’t want to make anybody else look bad.”

Nelson had a run-in with Reese Witherspoon’s publicist. He said he was so frustrated with her publicist that he left halfway through!

In the mid-2000s Nelson interviewed Reese for her movie Rendition, at that point Reese was a mother to her two eldest children Ava Phillippe and Deacon Phillippe, Nelson asked a question about her being a mother but was shut down after two attempts.

“The woman is a mother, the character is a mother, so I was asking her something mother-related. And somewhere from the back in the dark, a voice comes: ‘Nelson move on to another question!’

“I’m thinking, ‘What, this is Nelson I’m the good guy! I’m not TMZ digging around for dirt! I’m a nice guy! I wanna make you look good, I wanna look good. I’m a team player!'”

He said he tried a second time but was shut down again. Nelson said he gave up.

“You might get four minutes with Reese Witherspoon, I left after two! It was pointless,” he said.

But do not fret, Nelson said that he and Reese have had more interviews since then and she “couldn’t have been sweeter”. Cute!

“We have to remind ourselves that celebrities have bad days too,” he added.

It’s not just female celebrities he’s had sour moments with. Nelson alleged he has had Kevin Spacey and Stanley Tucci “talk down to him” during interviews, too.

He’s also claimed that as Ryan Reynolds, Blake’s husband, has become more famous, he has allegedly become less down to earth. Yikes!

This has opened up opportunities for new, but familiar, faces. The source reported, “The line-up that Channel Seven wants is Keith Urban, Jessica Mauboy, Ronan Keating, and LeAnn Rimes. They’ve all been on the show before, and conversations had started a few months back.”

LeAnn Rimes hints at a return

LeAnn Rimes, who coached 2024 winner Reuben De Melo, recently mentioned her interest in returning. In a Q&A on Instagram, she stated, “I would love to come back. I think it’d be really fun. So hopefully that will happen.” Given her recent win, it’s easy to see why fans would be thrilled at her return for another season.

Ronan Keating’s possible comeback

Woman’s Day recently reported sightings of Ronan Keating in Sydney with his family, adding to speculation of his involvement in 2025. The Block 2024’s producer opens up on where Mimi and Kylie’s friendship stands

The Block 2024’s co-creator and executive producer, Julian Cress, has given some insight into where Mimi and Kylie stand after the show’s explosive cheating scandal.

ICYMI, Kylie sensationally quit The Block after she overheard her husband, Brad, flirting with their co-star Mimi. Kylie later returned to the renovation show. However, she made it clear to Brad that they were no longer together.

“If I give up, we’d get nothing, so even if it’s ten grand, I’m taking half, and I’m leaving your arse,” she told him.

While Kylie has confronted Brad on the show, viewers are yet to see where Mimi and Kylie’s friendship stands after the scandal.

However, Julian revealed that Kylie’s beef wasn’t with Mimi, adding that he believes that the two contestants won’t have issues being around each other at The Block auction.

“They’ve seen each other since – they should be OK,” he told TV Week. “It’s Brad who’ll have to tiptoe around and make sure he’s not in the firing line.”

However, the show’s creator added that he’s not sure whether Kylie and Brad will choose to attend the auction.

“I don’t think Brad knows Kylie enough to predict whether she’ll come. They have a pretty volatile relationship,” he said.

Julian Cress hints that Jesse and Paige will profit from The Block

While Julian was spilling the tea about Brad, Kylie and Mimi, he hinted that Jesse and Paige — who quit The Block in week five — may make a return.

The WA couple chose to leave after Paige struggled with mental health problems, and Victorian sisters Maddy and Charlotte joined the show in their place.

A source previously told Yahoo Lifestyle that Jesse and Paige wouldn’t receive any of the auction profits despite contributing four finished rooms to House One.

“Producers have advised them that it is in their contract that they can’t split money with other contestants. The reason being that it promotes collusion and that could affect future seasons,” the source said.

However, Julian told TV Week that Jesse and Paige will receive some form of compensation.

“Maddy and Charlotte will take home whatever profit they make above their reserve. But without going into detail, Jesse and Paige won’t leave the show empty-handed for the work they’d done,” he said.

With just a handful of episodes to go until The Block auctions, we can’t wait to see how everything plays out.

The Block 2024 finale auction will air on Sunday, November 10 on Channel 10 and 10Play.

How did My Kitchen Rule’s Simone and Viviana meet?

Simone and Viviana have been friends for three years and first met through work.

The pair met when Viviana took a job at Simone’s barber and they instantly hit it off. She now owns her own barber shop, Amarsi Barbers, in Brisbane, and she even cuts Simone’s hair weekly. Talk about full circle!

Meanwhile, Simone has moved on from being a stylist and now owns two restaurants in Brisbane – Scugnizzi Italian Street Food and Doughcraft.

Simone told Channel 7 that he learnt how to cook from his dad when he was young.

“I learned to cook in my dad’s pizzeria when I was younger, cultivating a passion for food from a young age,” he said.

Viviana added that Simone has taught her to perfect her cooking skills over the years.

“I mostly learned here in Australia when I met Simone. He taught me everything,” she said.

What have Simone and Viviana cooked so far?

During Simone and Viviana’s first Instant Restaurant, which they called Sotto le Stelle (Under the Stars), they scored 74/110 on the 2024 MKR leaderboard. That put them in second place for Instant Kitchens round one.

The pals cooked an entree of Ricotta and Prawn Cannoli Salati entrée, a Tagliatelle Ragu Di Polpo Octopus main, and a Pistachio Tortino for dessert.

At their second Instant Restaurant, the Italian besties scored 104 out of 110 — which was the highest in MKR history.

They served an entree of Beef Tartare with Crumbed Yogurt and Crostini and a main of Prawn and Potato Ravioli with Prawn Bisque. For dessert, they served the table Millefoglie.

At this point, they look like front runners and we can only imagine the delicious meals they’ll dish up MKR Judges Manu Fieldel and Colin Fassnidge during their Ultimate Instant Restaurant round.

Everything you need to know about The Block 2024 finale auction

The Block 2024 has undoubtedly ramped things up for season 20 of the popular renovation show, with five teams vying for the best build on Victoria’s Phillip Island.

But, amongst the renovations, there’s been a whole bunch of drama — the biggest scandal involved some heavy flirting between Brad and Mimi.

While the question of whether Brad and Kylie will now attend the auction (more on that below), it all comes down to which house sells for the highest price during The Block finale auction.

By the end of the season, the dilapidated island holiday park will be transformed into five beautiful family homes.

As always, The Block cast’s hard work will ultimately be judged at the famous finale auction.

The nail-biting event will see the team that sells their renovated The Block house for the highest price earn the winning crown, profits on the sale over the reserve, and $100,000 prize money.

When is The Block 2024 auction finale?

Get excited because the date has been officially set for The Block 2024 auction.

Auction day will be filmed on Saturday, November 9 on Phillips Island and will screen at 7pm on Sunday, November 10.

Will there be a team that wins the big bucks like The Block 2023’s Steph and Gian? And a team who’s house passes over at auction, à la Leah and Ash? We can’t wait to find out!

Are Kylie and Brad attending The Block auction?

Kylie and Brad’s relationship is in tatters after Kylie overheard Brad flirting with Mimi. So, viewers have been questioning whether the married (?) couple will be attending the auction day.

Brad gave some insight during an interview with Daily Mail Australia, and, it doesn’t sound too promising.

“That’s something that I am still talking to my wife about, we don’t know what we’re doing,” he said.

“It’s not ruled out, I guess we will see.”

Is The Block auction live?

Nope! The auction is taking place the day before it airs on our television screens.

However, it’s likely that everyone who attends the auction will be required to sign documentation that prevents them from leaking the ending.

How long will The Block 2024 run for?

The Block 2024 kicked off on August 12. As the finale auction airs on November 10, the 2024 season will run for just a smidge under three months.

The Block 2022 and The Block 2023 ran for 51 episodes each, spanning 13 weeks from early August to early November. The two seasons before that had 50 episodes each and ran over a similar timeframe.

The Block airs on Sundays at 7pm and Mon – Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

Are Love Is Blind 2024’s Tyler and Ashley still together?

Love is Blind Season 7’s Tyler and Ashley‘s journey started strong, but some red flags emerged shortly before their reality TV wedding.

When Ashley found out some vital information about Tyler that he didn’t share in the pods—nor in the weeks after their engagement while they were dating in the real world—she began to question their relationship.

As the episodes continued, many couples that left the pods engaged began to break up. So, did Tyler and Ashley do the same, or did they happily transition into a married couple?

Tyler and Ashley hit it off in the pods, and the couple quickly knew they were each other’s number one.

“Ashley was my first date, and it was a feeling of safety that I got from her that I’ve never felt,” Tyler told today.com in an interview.

In the pods, Ashley and Tyler both shared that they’d like to have a big family together. During episode three, they even celebrated Tyler’s birthday in the pods.

Considering the strong connection they built sight unseen, it wasn’t much of a shock to viewers when Tyler proposed and Ashley accepted.

After getting engaged in the pods, Tyler and Ashley were delighted when they first saw one another at the reveal.

Their post-engagement holiday to Mexico went off without a hitch, and the couple appeared to be the strongest on the show.

However, that all changed during episode nine when Tyler revealed he had previously donated his sperm and had three kids.

Ashley was upset because he’d never shared the information, and she was also hurt that he hadn’t told her about the situation earlier.

Who are Tyler’s sperm donor kids?

According to Tyler, he donated the sperm to his lesbian friends, and he has no relationship with the kids, nor do his biological kids know who he is.

However, the children’s baby mama, Bri Thomas, begged to differ.

She alleged that Tyler was actively involved in raising their three kids, Kyreaux, Kali, and Kamari.

Bri shared a five-part video series during which she explained that she and Tyler were never in a relationship but were “best friends” throughout their co-parenting journey.

Did Tyler and Ashley get married?

Tyler and Ashley said ‘I do’ at their Love is Blind wedding, and the pair were officially—and legally—married at the altar.

Are Tyler and Ashley still together now?

They are! Despite the baby daddy accusations, Tyler and Ashley are still together.

At the Love is Blind Season 7 reunion, Ashley touched on the claims about Tyler having a relationship with his ‘sperm donor’ kids.

“Who do you think has better insight on what’s going on: social media or me?” She asked the hosts Nick and Vanessa Lachey.

“So, for people to imply that ‘she’s crazy’ is insulting to my intelligence.”

Tyler added: “This is not a game; this is until death do us part, and we mean it.”

What was Garret and Taylor’s time like in the pods?

When they started dating, the couple found an immediate connection, sight unseen in the Love Is Blind pods.

“I think I made an instant connection with Garrett,” Taylor said in a producer-led interview after their first date.

Garrett echoed her sentiment, telling Taylor he felt “a very strong intimate connection” with her.

During their time in the pods, Taylor read Garrett an emotional letter that her grandparents wrote to each other before getting engaged. In that same session, Garrett proposed to her, and she accepted.

“I’ve never felt this way in my entire life. It’s indescribable and unprecedented. It’s amazing,” Garrett said at the time.

What was Garrett and Taylor’s controversy on Love is Blind?

After leaving the pods and meeting in person for the first time, Taylor and Garrett had a period of time where they could date in the real world before deciding whether they would go ahead with the marriage.

While the couple’s journey was relatively smoother than some cast mates, Garrett and Taylor had a few hiccups.

Firstly, Taylor told Garrett in the pods that she wanted to relocate from Washington, DC to San Diego. Although Garrett agreed in the pods, he told Taylor on the outside that he had hesitations about the move.

Towards the end of the experiment, Taylor found a message from Garrett’s ex on his phone, who was trying to reconnect with him.

While Garrett made it clear that he wasn’t available, Taylor wasn’t happy that he kept the message a secret.

Are Taylor and Garrett still together?

Taylor and Garrett have confirmed that love isn’t dead with the great news that they’re still together.

Yep, a year after filming the last episode of Love is Blind, Season 7, the lovable couple is still going strong. At the Reunion, they revealed that they’ve been living in California but will be making the move to Washington DC soon.

On top of that, Garrett rocked up to the Reunion with a whole ass glow-up. Sporting some stylish clothes, stubble and a new haircut, the host, Nick Lachey, asked if his new look could be attributed to Taylor. However, she assured viewers that Garrett’s makeover was his own idea.

Shortly after the reunion, both Taylor and Garrett have shared Instagram posts gushing about one another.

While the odds may be against them, Taylor and Garrett have confirmed that love is (sometimes) blind.

MAFS stars Evelyn and Duncan hilariously transform into each other for Halloween

Married At First Sight (MAFS) fan favourites, Evelyn Ellis and Duncan James, took Halloween to a whole new level this year by transforming into each other, with help from their MAFS co-star and makeup artist, Janelle Han.

Janelle, who appeared in the 2023 season alongside Evelyn and Duncan, put her makeup skills to work, turning Evelyn into Duncan’s signature 2023 Logies look. To capture Duncan’s features, she applied a prosthetic nose, followed by a moustache and beard. Duncan, on the other hand, channelled Evelyn with lifted eyebrows, exaggerated eye makeup, and a contoured décolletage.

In her Instagram reel, Janelle shared, “My cheeks still burn from all the laughing! I’m so grateful to call these two incredible humans my besties.”

Taking their Halloween spirit further, Evelyn and Duncan posted a video in full costume, dancing to Nelly Furtado’s hit “Promiscuous Girl,” fully embracing their new personas.

Although Evelyn and Duncan both starred in MAFS 2023, they weren’t paired during the show. Duncan was initially matched with Alyssa Barmonde, while Evelyn was with Rupert Budgen. In the months following the show, their friendship blossomed into romance, and they’ve been going strong ever since.

In August 2023, the couple announced that they had moved in together and have since enjoyed several overseas trips.

In its Domain listing, the property is described as a “luxurious family living in [a] resort-style coastal setting”.

It continues to say, “Nestled within one of Australia’s most exclusive gated communities, this property delivers the perfect blend of privacy and convenience.”

What season were all 22 returning The Block All-Stars on?

The Block is well known for bringing back former contestants, and the 2024 season has done exactly that.

However, this year, the returning All-Stars didn’t compete in the home renovations competition as contestants. Instead, they shared their advice with the current Blockheads.

On top of that, Channel Nine has teased that some of the The Block fan favourites will be participating in a mystery challenge.

“As this season builds to the auction, a select group of the All Stars will be helping this year’s Blockheads to create something never seen on The Block before,” a press release for the new season reads.

The hand-selected All-Stars include some very recognisable faces over the years. The group includes last year’s winners Steph and Gian and loveable couple Dale and Sophie from way back in 2012.

Who will win The Block 2024?

The Block 2024 is coming to an end, and the final auctions are speeding towards us. While there have long been theories about the teams that land on top, has the winner of The Block 2024 now been leaked?

Here is what we know about the winners of the auction finale and what audiences can expect.

In previous years, fans of the show could refer to betting odds to get an insight into which team was likely to perform best in the auction. This year, Sportsbet has dropped novelty bets on its platform, which means audiences can no longer use these odds to make an educated guess on the winner of The Block.

That doesn’t mean, however, that the winners of The Block 2024 haven’t been leaked. There are other theories rolling around on the internet right now.

Taking a quick look at X or Reddit, you can see that many fans believe Maddy and Charlotte have the competition in the bag.

But, interestingly, some other prediction tools indicate they may not be the frontrunners.

Places we can see hints about the winners of The Block

The Domain Listings Challenge is one such example. If you’re not familiar, this challenge sees 100 potential buyers check out the homes on The Block and vote for their favourites. The winner of this challenge walks away with a $50,000 prize.

Ricky and Haydn were the winners of The Domain Listings Challenge, with a 29 per cent majority of the vote.

Another method of predicting the winners of The Block 2024 is by looking at the points each team has accrued over the course of the season.

While Maddy and Charlotte have received multiple 10s for their rooms along the way, they actually sit in second place. Looking at points alone, house two – by Courtney and Grant – is actually the winning home.

So, by these estimations, we could see Ricky and Haydn or Courtney and Grant walk out as winners of The Block 2024.

Auction day (and the arrival of the winner of The Block 2024) will be filmed on Saturday, November 9, on Phillips Island and will screen at 7pm on Sunday, November 10. So, we’ll see which of these popular theories comes out on top then.

Guy Sebastian reveals why he quit The Voice Australia

Long time The Voice Australia coach Guy Sebastian has announced that he’s quit the show and revealed the reason why.

Guy joined the popular singing show in 2019 and remained as coach until 2024. On October 30, he announced that he wouldn’t be returning for the 2025 season.

“I have some news to share with you all regarding my role as a Voice coach,” he wrote in an Instagram post.

“I have made the decision to take a break from the best red chair on the planet. It’s been six amazing years as a coach, and it’s honestly been the best gig ever! I have nothing but good things to say about the show itself, and sharing the panel with such amazing coaches has been a pleasure.”

Guy said it was a “privilege” to guide emerging Australian talent over his years on The Voice.

“The best thing about the show is how positive it is and how much care and passion goes into making it a safe place for artists.”

Why did Guy Sebastian quit The Voice?

Guy’s announcement post made it clear that there was no drama related to his decision to leave The Voice Australia.

Instead, Guy told his followers that his upcoming musical commitments would prevent him from participating in the show in 2025.

“For me right now, it’s time to focus more on my core, which is writing and performing new music,” he wrote.

“I am busy planning shows in Australia and worldwide and am really looking forward to getting out and connecting with you all there.

“For too long now, I have been reading comments from you asking when I will be visiting your town/country, and it’s high time I come and visit!”

Guy added that he’s been busy creating a new album — his last was T.R.U.T.H., released in 2020.

“I’ve worked on this upcoming album for four years, and I’ve poured everything I have into it, so I need to pay respect to that effort and the art I’ve created.”

Will Guy Sebastian return as a coach?

It sure sounds like it! Guy finished his post by teasing that he’d be interested in returning to The Voice in the future.

“Whoever has the audacity to take my chair, don’t get too comfortable… I will wrestle for it back with zero dignity when I’m ready to return,” he wrote.

“Thank you, everyone. It’s been a blast, and let’s keep supporting fresh Aussie talent – it’s some of the best in the world!”

FBoy Island’s Krystal reveals she “made the wrong decision” on the show

The 2024 season of FBoy Island Australia has come to an end, and we’ve heard updates from each of the final couples on the show. Easily one of the more interesting updates came from Krystal Thomas and Paddy Colliar, who split shortly after filming for FBoy Island wrapped.

Now, we’ve received another juicy insight into the couple’s journey off the back of Krystal’s chat with Abbie Chatfield on the It’s A Lot Podcast.

Here’s what we’ve learned and how Krystal is feeling about her FBoy Island experience now.

Why did Krystal choose Paddy on FBoy Island?

Speaking with Abbie on the podcast, Krystal revealed that she really didn’t know which of her final two men, Paddy and Doug, she was going to pick in the end.

“In that moment [during the finale], I felt like the whole world was spinning. I could see my life in two different ways, because they’re so different,” Krystal shared.

“…when it came out, I was just like, ‘Paddy’. And then, yeah, I even then said it, and I was like, ‘Oh no, but Doug?'”

She shared that, at the time, she believed she would have “a really nice life with Doug” but worried that in the long run, they may not have been able to give each other what they needed.

After reflecting on the series after the fact, Krystal shared that she cried after watching every episode.

“I had a cry after every episode. I’d cry during the episode, I’d cry after. I was like, moping around,” she said.

When Abbie asked why, Krystal responded, “Because I felt like I’d made the wrong decision.”

“I was watching it all play out, and I was like, ‘Oh my god,’ and the way Doug would look at me, I never had anyone look at me that way before. And it was a genuine love,” she explained.

Krystal then went on to share that after filming was over, she actually called Doug and tried to win him back.

“I was just like, ‘I’ve made the wrong decision. Like, I can’t believe this’. I was like, ‘I regret my decision’. I was crying.”

Then, Krystal shared that Doug who replied, “‘How could you do this to me?’ He’s like, ‘We left’ and he was like, ‘I was so heartbroken, Krystal’.”

“I was trying to get him back, and that is the realest truth, is that I was trying to get that man back because I regret my decision,” she said.

What happened with Krystal and Paddy in the end?

As we all know, Krystal and Paddy went their separate ways shortly after the show wrapped.

As Krystal shared with Abbie, she called things with him about six to eight weeks after the show ended. The reason for this, she explained, came down to different styles of communication and wanting different things from their relationship.

“A lot of mean girls”: Love Island’s Sophie Mills reveals the brutal bullying she’s experienced

Love Island Australia 2024’s Sophie Mills shared that overcoming severe bullying in high school helped her discover her newfound confidence, in an exclusive interview with Chattr.

While she may be sauntering into the villa in the highly coveted position of the first female bombshell, Sophie told Chattr that her confidence has been “way, way down” in recent years.

“I was bullied in high school. I actually didn’t even get to graduate because I was so badly bullied. I left after year 11,” she said.

“There were a lot of mean girls, jealousy, and things like that. I’ve built my way back up, being outside of school.”

Sophie said she felt immensely proud of herself for putting herself in a vulnerable position by going on Love Island Australia.

“This is something that old Sophie would never, ever do. I was a bit nervous, and it was very daunting for me to walk through those villa doors, especially by myself.

“But, I back myself more than ever because of the experience I’ve had in the past.”

What was Love Island’s Sophie bullied about in high school?

Sophie explained that she felt like she was never “fully accepted” in high school.

“Obviously, you have your [high school] cliques, and everybody has their little group. I never really liked that. That wasn’t my style, so I would be a floater around the grade,” she explained.

“The cool girl group — if people call them that — I was part of it, but I never was really, fully accepted,” she added.

“I didn’t consider myself to be as pretty as them or this or that, but that’s just the way they made me feel.”

Sophie said that while she wasn’t sure why some of her peers made her feel like an outcast, her mum told her it stemmed from jealousy.

“I think her opinions are biased,” Sophie laughed.

How Sophie’s experience with bullying has shaped her

Sophie told Chattr that after leaving high school, she learned to love herself and said her experience made her a stronger woman.

“It’s made me who I am today, and without it, I would never be the confident girl that I was when I walked through the villa doors,” she said.

The bombshell said that being through bullying had taught her to stand up for herself.

“I don’t really take shit anymore like I used to. People used to compare me to a doormat. People would tell me, ‘You literally let people walk all over you’. But, I don’t let it happen anymore.”

Nine has officially confirmed that, much like Seasons 1, 4 and 5, the 2024 iteration of Love Island Australia has been filmed in Mallorca (or Majorca), Spain.

Love Island Australia‘s cast of singles and the show’s host, Sophie Monk, jetted off to Europe in the hope they’ll find love (or something similar).

For those who are unfamiliar, Mallorca is one of Spain’s Balearic Islands that is particularly famous for its beaches and club scene. Talk about a hot escape!

The formula has mostly been the same when it comes to filming location for Love Island Australia, however, Season 2 was filmed in Fiji and Season 3 was set in Byron Bay.

“Glad I lost”: Dessert Masters’ Katherine Sabbath on why she was happy to be eliminated

Dessert Masters 2024‘s Katherine Sabbath went into the reality show as a fan favourite but was sadly the first contestant to be eliminated.

The first elimination saw the ten contestants face off in a “smoke and mirrors” Mystery Box challenge. Reece Hignell, Donato Toce, and Katherine were in the bottom three, and the ‘cake queen’ was ultimately eliminated due to the lack of flavour in her sand castle cake.

During an exclusive interview with Chattr, Katherine shared that while she was “disappointed” to be the first person sent home, there was a silver lining to her elimination.

“I would describe it as bittersweet,” she said. “I was really upset to have gone home early, but amongst that standard and calibre of competition, it made me so proud and happy to be there.”

“I’m glad that I lost because the other contestant’s dishes were so incredible. I’m glad I lost to that level of skill because I didn’t want to get through just because my dish was okay. If I lost, I want to really lose,” she laughed.

What did Katherine Sabbath think of her Dessert master’ co-stars?

The cookbook author added that the standard of contestants on Dessert Masters 2024 is “phenomenal”, so she wasn’t shocked to be eliminated early on.

“The odds are so high of going home. So was I surprised that the competition was that good? No, but was I delighted? Yes.”

Dessert Masters’ Katherine Sabbath wanted to make her fans proud

Katherine, who boasts over 470,000 Instagram followers, said that her disappointment about being eliminated at the beginning of the competition stemmed from a sense of letting her fans down.

“It is such a disappointment to be the first one to go because I had so many other ideas and skills I wanted to show, and I wish I got the chance to do that,” she said. “But, that’s just the way the cookie crumbles, unfortunately.

“I feel like the home baking community and like dessert enthusiasts are just the nicest people in the world. I always say home bakers are the best kinds of friends because when we make cakes we never make them for ourselves, we’re always making them for the people around us and those that we love.

“That’s why I’m I wish I had gone further because I feel like as a home baker, I had so much to show, and I wish I had brought more of those cake skills to the competition. But it’s so nice to have that support. I really appreciate it.”

While Katherine may be gone from Dessert Masters 2024, we can’t wait to see her next iconic cake pop up on Instagram.

Fans of The Block react to that explosive Brad and Mimi flirting saga

A flirting scandal has blown up on The Block between Brad and Kylie Baker, and fans have been flocking to social media to share their thoughts on the situation.

If you’re not yet caught up on the drama, here is a rundown of it all.

What happened with Brad and Kylie on The Block?

So, as fans of The Block will know, the drama began when The Block contestant Mimi Belperio visited Brad and Kylie for a drink.

What went down is that Kylie went to take a nap, and in the room nearby, Brad flirted with Mimi. Brad, in his own words, shared he said “inappropriate” things to Mimi. According to The Daily Mail, this included telling his fellow contestant that he would follow her OnlyFans.

Kylie overheard the whole incident and quickly packed up her things and left the show. In a clip shared by Nine, Kylie is seen speaking with her mother on the phone about having given Brad numerous chances before.

In a message left on Kylie’s phone for The Block, she said, “Alright, so I’m saying goodbye. I can’t be on national television having my marriage breaking down. So I’m going home, and I can’t say I’ll be returning.

“You can talk to Brad about the details, but unfortunately, I can’t do it anymore. Thank you for the opportunity, and I’m sorry I can’t stay until the end, I’m just not strong enough anymore.”

Another clip shared by Nine shows Kylie speaking with cafe staff (presumably on the set of The Block). One barista asked Kylie, “Are you done? Checked out? This is it.”

Kylie replied, “I’m just broken.”

Following this, Brad spoke with producers of The Block, admitting, “I’d very much say that I’ve just single-handedly destroyed my family.”

The major disruption comes after fellow The Block contestants Maddy and Charlotte spoke with Allan & Carly on Hit WA and alluded to something serious going down on the show.

When asked about cheating rumours, Charlotte shared, “Look, I think that will all get revealed in the next couple of weeks”.

“We don’t want to speak on it specifically because it’s people’s real lives, and we weren’t obviously there, so we don’t know full details, but, yeah, something happened, but we’re probably not the right people to speak on it,” Maddy added. How are fans of The Block reacting?

In short, you could say audiences of the show have reacted strongly. Many people have criticised Brad’s behaviour on The Block, with others sharing that they dislike Kylie regardless of how her husband has treated her.

Things online are heated, that’s for sure.

I suppose we’ll have to wait and see what happens next, but we can assume it’s going to be intense!

The Block airs on Sundays at 7pm and Monday – Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
