The truth behind Sam Armytage’s FWAW hosting takeover from Natalie

Farmer Wants a Wife fans were left scratching their heads last month when Sam Armytage suddenly took centre stage as host of the reality series instead of the show’s longtime beloved star, Natalie Gruzlewski.

Nat, who has been hosting FWAW from 2007 until 2012, before returning in 2020, had been running the show solo for years, and doing a darn good job of it. So, when Sam waltzed in as the new series co-host in 2023, fans were left wondering, ‘What the hay is going on here?’

Now, an insider has spilled the beans on what went down behind the scenes for the former Sunrise host to dust off her Akubra hat and return to the series as its main host.

Farmer Wants a Wife Sam Armytage

Why Was Sam Armytage Brought Back As Co-Host?

Sam returned to the reality show as host in 2023, leading Nat to take on a more ‘scaled-back’ role on the program and paving the way for the former Sunrise star to step into the spotlight.

According to a FWAW insider, it all came down to contract negotiations and good old-fashioned ratings chasing.

“They had been using her on Farmer to burn her old Sunrise contract, but with Sam and the network being happy with the role in Farmer Wants A Wife, this is a renegotiation some said would never come,” the source revealed to Daily Mail.

Is Sam Armytage Here to Stay?

The insider also spilled that Sam has signed a shiny new two-year contract with Channel Seven, cementing her status as the queen of the crop.

“This new contract with Channel Seven marks a new era for her with the network,” they dished to the site. “With the show flying high, it was a great time to renegotiate, and Samantha is looking forward to getting back out into regional Australia and making new love stories.”

What’s Going to Happen to Nat Gruzlewski?

During last year’s season, Nat — who had been the sole host of the series from 2007 until 2012, before returning in 2020 — was joined by Sam, which was met with mixed reviews from viewers.

The unexpected pairing sparked a flurry of opinions among fans, igniting lively discussions about the direction of the beloved series.

But no need to worry, Nat fans – she’s not going anywhere. According to the insider, Natalie will continue in an “understudy” role as well as hosting her Nat’s Getaway segment on the reality series.

Meanwhile, it seems she has no bad blood about the show’s changes – in fact, she recently revealed enjoying a quieter existence and has returned to Queensland to be closer to her 11-year-old daughter, Olivia.

In a recent interview with the Courier Mail, Nat shared that despite the changes, the “authenticity of Farmer hasn’t changed” and it still creates “beautiful love stories.”

FWAW 2024: Natalie Gruzlewski

Will The Show’s Format Change?

The insider confirmed that the show’s format and hosting schedule will remain the same, so you can expect all the drama, romance, and farm-related puns you’ve come to know and love.

“There is no way the network will make any changes to the format next year. The numbers are up, and if anything, audiences can expect next year to be even more dramatic,” they teased.

“It is clear that wider audiences love the drama and the network will always chase the ratings.”

So there you have it, folks – the truth behind Samantha Armytage’s Farmer Wants A Wife takeover. While some fans may be mourning the loss of Nat’s solo hosting gig, it seems like Channel Seven is betting big on Sam’s star power to keep the ratings (and the romance) flowing on the farm.

“Mixed emotions”: MasterChef’s Stephen explains why he was hesitant about the Redemption Cook

The sad development of Stephen being eliminated from MasterChef Australia 2024 came hand in hand with some great news; there’s a redemption cook this week and one of the contestants will be reentering the competition.

However, during a post-elimination interview with Chattr, Stephen revealed that he wasn’t as excited as one might expect about being given a second chance at the Master Chef title.

“Quite a few mixed emotions. I’m worried because I think what’s going to happen? And, I’m worried about whether I’ll get through it, and what will I have to do?” He revealed.

Steph, Lachlan and Alex. Ten.

Stephen revealed he was relieved to be eliminated

Stephen said that while he was shocked to be eliminated, there was a self of relief that came hand in hand with the news.

“You have this relief because the pressure is suddenly gone because you’ve been under this pressure, you know for days and days and weeks on end and it’s a lot of pressure in that kitchen,” he said.

“You get out of there you go, you go home, and suddenly all that pressure is gone,” he added. “

“You’re disappointed because you’re not there, then you’re disappointed because you’ve not with your friends, you are disappointed because you’re not in the competition. But suddenly you think, ‘That pressure is gone’ and it’s great. And then someone says, ‘You could be coming back next week and it’s like, ‘Oh, my God, the pressures back on!” He laughed.

Stephen and Alex. Ten.

Stephen said if he gets a second chance he’ll be back to win

The winner of the Redemption Cook will be rejoining the game. Considering Stephen’s exceptional feedback through the MasterChef season so far, there’s a good chance he could be triumphant in the challenge.

Stephen said that if he were to return, it would give him extra drive to succeed.

“If I could a second chance to be back in there, I’d have extra fire, definitely,” he said.

Stephen touched on his close friendship with Juan, and said that he sadly thinks that he will be one of his toughest competitors in the Redemption Cook.

“I think Juan scares me, I hate to be up against him again! Although his cooking is very much to his heritage, he cooks that food superbly.”

FWAW 2024: Sarah confirms that she’s split from Farmer Tom in an Instagram post

After eliminating Lady after Lady, Farmer Wants a Wife‘s Tom has found his (hopefully) forever love in Sarah.

During the May 12 episode of FWAW, Tom made his final decision and asked Sarah to be with him.

Now that Farmer Tom and Sarah have officially become an item, fans are dying to know if the couple are still together.

Are they still together?

Unfortunately not! Although Sarah and Tom were still together at the Reunion, which was filmed a month after the Final Picks, they’ve since split.

Sarah confirmed the sad news in an Instagram post.

“I applied to FWAW with the sole intention of falling in love with Tom and I certainly surprised myself with how deeply I felt for him in a short amount of time,” she began.

“Unfortunately, that lifelong love that I was seeking with Tom did not turn out the way that I had hoped it would, but it’s definitely a relief now to put that truth out there that Tom and I are no longer together. Relationships don’t always work and people are not always who you think they are.”

Farmer Tom and Sarah’s pairing

Farmer Tom and Sarah’s strong connection has been obvious to viewers since they first met, and the pair has similar life goals.

“We have spoken about family plans, and Tom and I definitely want a few kids,” Sarah told her mum during the May 12 episode.

Despite only being 22 and 23, both Tom and Sarah don’t believe in waiting to find their soulmate.

“Why wait?” Tom asked Sarah during the first meeting, to which she responded: “If I find the right person, I don’t need to keep looking.”

They also both want to settle down in the next few years.

“I want to find that person, I don’t want to be looking forever,” Sarah said.

Farmer Tom’s final two ladies

We all know that Farmer Tom left the show with Sarah, but what happened to Krissy? She was left brokenhearted when Tom told her that he hadn’t picked her.

Prior to finding out about his choice, Krissy told the cameras: “It’s my last day here at the farm and I’m really attached to this place. It feels like home. I see my future being here and with Farmer Tom.”

Krissy on FWAW. Seven.

However, it wasn’t to be as Tom told Krissy that he didn’t think he was the right person for her.

“I did not see this coming, I had to kind of back it and believe it. I was obviously pretty confident in that connection,” Krissy said through tears after Tom broke the news.

“I’m shocked it takes a lot to be vulnerable with someone and get to that point where you’re open to it,” she added.

Farmer Tom’s decision

After breaking up with Krissy, Farmer Tom took Sarah to a beautiful garden setting and told her that he wanted to be with her.

“At this point in time Sarah, you are the person I want a relationship with and I’m falling in love with you,” he told her.

“I think I’m already there,” Sarah replied in delight.

The pair later sealed their relationship with the L bomb.

“I do love you,” Sarah said. “I love you too Sarah,” Tom replied.

If you’re a millennial you’re probably going to know the 90s boy band Dream Home’s Brad was in

Dream Home’s Brad Pinto isn’t exactly a stranger to the spotlight, the dad of four was in a very popular boy band back in the 90s.

During an interview with Chattr, Brad revealed that he was a moment of the band CBD, which released the iconic single Let’s Groove in 1995.

“The band was CDB it was like a harmony, R&B kind of band,” he said. “It was a great part of life, having fun doing what we loved with mates and getting to see the world. It’s just been an amazing experience, to have my brothers in the band as well.”

During their time together, CDB (which stands for Central Dandenong Boys) produced backing vocals for Peter Andre when he supported Madonna on her Australian The Girlie Show World Tour.

They also had a number two hit with their cover of Earth, Wind & Fire’s Let’s Groove, and success with their debut studio album, Glide with Me which peaked at number six on the ARIA charts in 1995.

While CDB’s heyday was certainly the 90s, Brad revealed that the band is still together.

“Now we’re actually a man band. Not as frequently obviously and not as much touring as before, because everyone’s got families,” he said.

Brad on Dream House

Brad is competing on Dream Home alongside his wife Mel, and the pair have put forward their Northcote home, where they and their four children live, for renovation by their teammates.

“We’ve been trying to renovate for at least six years when we started the process six years ago, and then COVID hit and Brad’s in the arts so we lost income there and we were like, ‘Oh gosh we can’t build’ and then we came out of COVID we really can’t afford to do a full renovation,” Mel explained.

“The banks are really not wanting to lend much where we’ve got four dependents. Between educating [the kids] and then just everyday cost of living could not afford the build,” she added.

For that reason, Mel revealed that Dream Home was a “no-brainer”, because it would mean getting a fully renovated house for their family.

“If you’ve got a chance, why wouldn’t you take such an amazing opportunity?” Brad added.

Dream Home premieres at  7.00pm on Sunday, 26 May on Channel 7 and 7plus.

Everything you need to know about MasterChef’s TikTok Sensation Mikiko Terasaki

Sunday night’s Elimination Cook will see a very special chef grace the MasterChef Australia kitchen; TikTok sensation Mikiko Terasaki.

Mikiko will be setting the challenge – and she’s very well known for her omurice dish. So it shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise that the contestants will be challenged with recreating her viral Japanese Rice Omelette.

Here’s everything we know about Mikiko.

How Mikiko Terasaki’s restaurant went viral

Mikiko has her own Japanese restaurant in Sydney called Omu, which started as a weekly Japanese market stall in Chinatown.

However, it wasn’t until one of Australia’s biggest food influencers posted about her place, that it became outrageously popular. Food influencer Adrian Widjonarko posted a TikTok about Omu’s Omurice dish which went viral.

“After the TikTok our business skyrocketed, and there were queues up to two hours every week at the food stall,” Mikiko told Sydney Morning Herald. “It had a huge impact on the business, and we grew from a small food stall to a restaurant in Ultimo.”

Adrian’s post catapulted Omu into the public eye, and these days the restaurant is regularly booked out with lines out the door.

How hard is Omurice to make?

In short, yes. The Omurice dish is unofficially known as the “world’s hardest-to-make-egg”. It involves making a dish that’s a soft, fluffy, and creamy omelette over rice stir-fried, however, the omelette must be of perfect consistency.

What task will Mikiko Terasaki set for the MasterChef contestants?

The official Synopsis for the ninth MasterChef elimination gives an insight below:

With all in black aprons bar David who secured immunity, it is elimination day, and yet, spirits are high as the cooks enter the MasterChef kitchen to discover a cute mobile phone-shaped booth which soon springs to life with today’s special guest.

Mikiko Terasaki, founder of the popular Sydney restaurant ‘Omu’ wows the group with her demonstration of her omurice dish, a classic Japanese comfort dish that she turned into a viral sensation – it comprises an omelette placed on a bed of rice which is then cut open to unfold dramatically, before a sauce is added on top. It’s quick but mesmerizing, showing just how effective the simple egg can be.

The contestants learn that this will be their task today – to creatively incorporate eggs into their own dishes in a 75-minute cook, with the least impressive dish sending its maker home. Seemingly simple, the judges want to see innovation, technique and flavour today.

“People might judge us”: The beautiful reason Hannah and Jonny left their twins for Dream Home

Dream Home’s Hannah and Jonny are parents to beautiful 10-month-old twins Goldie and Theodore. Of course, taking part in a reality show means time away from their babies, but the couple revealed that the twins played a huge part in why they decided to go on the TV show.

During an interview with Chattr ahead of the premiere, Jonny said that while people may question their decision to leave their twins, they made the sacrifice for their kid’s benefit.

Hannah and Jonny on Dream Home ad

“We sacrificed not seeing our twins for a few months, which people might judge us on,” Jonny said.

Hannah explained that taking part in the show meant that they would leave with a completely renovated house, which the twins would enjoy for decades to come.

“The thing we reminded ourselves of every day that we’re on the show was, we are doing something in a short amount of time, that would have taken 20 years for us to do ourselves.

“Let’s be honest, it’s six months,” she added. “They’re not gonna remember the time we were away, but they will remember the house that they grew up in, and they can have their friends come over too, and we’ve got room to grow. So the benefit definitely outweighs the sacrifice.”

The milestones Jonny and Hannah missed while they were filming Dream Home

The couple stressed how hard it was being away from their babies, but Hannah explained that while on the show she would try and “compartmentalize” in order to deal with missing them.

“I had to just accept that they’re with their grandmothers, they’re loved, they’re fed, they’re cared for, and that they’re that I’m gonna miss them more than they’re missing me. That’s literally the only way you can get through every day,” she said.

Jonny added that he struggled with missing his daughter Goldie’s first steps.

“The hardest point for me was at the end, it was literally the day that Goldie took her first steps that it really kicked in how much I had missed,” he said.

However, he added that pre-renovation, the house was a challenge to live in.

“We literally bought the worst house in the best area that we could afford,” he explained. But post renovation, will their house be the best in the suburb –or even – the competition?

Dream Home premieres at  7.00pm on Sunday, 26 May on Channel 7 and 7plus.

MAFS’ Eden reveals exactly why Jayden dumped her, and it involved sharing a bed

Married At First Sight’s Jayden and Eden were one of the 2024 golden couples until they abruptly split shortly after the finale aired.

Fans were shocked about their break up, and, turns out, Eden was too.

During a candid interview on Dom Calarco and Ella Ding’s Sit With Us podcast, the recruitment manager shared one of the bizarre reasons that Jayden broke up with her.

Jayden didn’t want to share a bed with Eden

Eden told the hosts that she and Jayden struggled to settle into life outside of the experiment together.

“There were a couple of things about the relationship that were different to what I’m used to,” she said.

She added that Jayden, who’s a professional kickboxer, was “very strict with his sport and training”.

“So much to a point where he won’t share a bed at night so he likes to be able to stretch and recover,” she said.

Eden and Jayden

“That for me was a big deal breaker almost because I’m like, I need to be able to share a bed with a partner.

“Bedtime, he didn’t want to stay with me and that was really concerning,” she continued.

Eden said that she made her feelings about sleeping together known, and Jayden agreed to stay with her once a week.

“Eventually one of the nights where he came to stay, he said, ‘I can’t do this. I feel like I can’t meet your expectations.”

“I was just really confused… because the only thing I’d ever ask him was for a sleepover once a week,” she said through tears.

Eden tried to get back together with Jayden

Eden said that she and Jayden caught up a few days after the breakup, and she tried to get back together with him, however, he wasn’t receptive to it.

“He made his decision, he didn’t really want to have the conversation to be honest. I was holding on to hope that he would realise he was making the wrong decision.”

“I just think I wasn’t what he wanted and that’s the bottom line and I just really have to accept that,” she said.

FWAW’s Joe has done a full-blown interview confirming whether he’s still dating Sarah

Although the FWAW cast isn’t meant to reveal their relationship status until after the Reunion airs, Farmer Joe has gone ahead and blatantly confirmed whether he’s still with Sarah.

“Sarah and I are still together,” he flat-out confirmed to the Canberra Times.

“There’s been a bit of a backlash, a lot of media saying that we’re not and all the rest of it.

“We’ve definitely had our ups and downs, we’ve had trials and tribulations, like anyone else. I think it’s been exacerbated by the whole experience which we had to go through.”

Sarah was upset by the backlash around Joe choosing her

The Farmer Wants a Wife finale was a nailbiter, with fans unsure about whether Joe would pick Sarah or Keely.

Unfortunately for Keely, Farmer Joe let the fan-favourite down, and told her that the time wasn’t right for them. After Keely graciously exited FWAW, the screen panned back to Joe and Sarah and the Farmer told his potentially future wife that he wanted to start a future with her.

A lot of fans on social media were unhappy about Joe’s choice, and they made their thoughts known online. In the interview, Joe said that the feedback he and Sarah had been receiving was discouraging.

“It’s pretty upsetting for us both,” he said.

“The way last night went, it made a lot of people feel as though maybe I should have chosen differently. And that’s hard as well. Watching it and how it unfolds isn’t exactly how it felt throughout the whole experience and time we spent together.

“I feel really sorry for Sarah, she’s been copping it a fair bit,” he continued.

“It’s funny, people want you to go on these shows to find love and to find happiness and be in a partnership and when you do, everyone just wants to turn against you and say, ‘It’s fake’ or ‘You shouldn’t have done that, you should have chosen someone else’ and try to ruin it.”

During the finale, Sarah got upset after Joe wouldn’t confirm to her best friend that he was choosing her. The scene-in-question drew criticism from viewers on social media with many pointing out that Joe wouldn’t be able to answer that question, given that he still had two Ladies left.

Joe openly spoke out about the negative comments that had been made about her and said that they were unfair.

“Everyone said Sarah ‘looked uphappy’ and she ‘always looks cranky’. Sarah is one of the funnest [people],” Joe said.

“Yes, she’s a bit of an introvert – but she’s happy, she’s outgoing. She’s a really nice person. She loves music and being outdoors and things like that and everyone is saying she looks like she’s cranky all the time. It’s all perception and it’s being truly unfair on her.”

“Heavily discouraged”: Only one FWAW Farmer stayed in touch with his eliminated Ladies

All of the Farmer Wants a Wife Farmers have made their picks, so what happens to the eliminated Ladies – in particular, the runners-ups?

Well, according to an anonymous source, they’re practically shoved out in the cold and the Farmers are instructed by producers not to contact them.

“The farmers are heavily discouraged by Channel Seven producers to talk to the other finalists ever again,” an insider told Yahoo Lifestyle Australia.

“The cold shoulder from each farmer is brutal and many of the girls are left wondering where it all went wrong, especially the girls who make it to the final two!”

Anna was left confused after Farmer Dustin chose Sophie

Of course, one of the most heartbreaking scenes this year was when Farmer Dustin told Anna that she wasn’t the one for him.

Dustin chose Sophie, and Anna broke down in tears in a producer-led interview shortly after. And, the source revealed that she’s still blindsided by the decision.

“When you saw Farmer Dustin say goodbye to Anna that was the last she ever heard from him, which would surprise audiences.”

“The girls at each farm are mostly still friends but nothing was ever said to Anna,” they continued.

“I think she would like an explanation of when his feelings changed to Sophie. You give up your life for nearly three months and the heightened reality of filming a TV show does make things feel more real, when they might not have been.”

“Other girls have explained that it would have been nice to encourage the men to give more of an explanation, as most of them leave questioning the whole process. It is unfair.”

Farmer Bert reached out to one particular eliminated Lady

If you’ve been keeping up with the FWAW goss, you’ll know that rumours are rife that Farmer Bert and Lauren, who walked out of the show part way through, struck up a relationship post-filming.

Lauren and Bert from FWAW

Lauren’s since denied that they’re together. However, the rumour mill is still ticking and fans aren’t convinced.

The insider has added more fuel to the flame, claiming that Farmer Bert and Lauren can very well be a thing.

“Farmer Bert was pretty much the only farmer to check back in with his girls and that was something he was told not to do,” the insider adds. “I’d say much like Farmer Benjamin in 2022, the story for Farmer Bert is not over. The fans are watching his Instagram hoping to see what is really going on with Lauren.”

“Farmer Benjamin is still with Hannah [one of the girls from his farm] after leaving the competition for health reasons. He took his love story into his own hands and that will be the advice he would have given Farmer Bert.”

Call Me Country: Beyoncé & Nashville’s Renaissance is the groundbreaking doco you need to see

Beyonce’s impact on pop culture is plainly obvious – but it’s highlighted differently in the new documentary Call Me Country: Beyoncé & Nashville’s Renaissance.

The doco zeros in on the perceptions of race and gender in the country music industry. Beyonce’s new album Cowboy Carter was released on 29 March and arrived during a revolution within country music as the latest arena of the culture wars in America.

Call Me Country: Beyoncé & Nashville’s Renaissance explores just that, and the long history of Black country artists working in Nashville.

Official Synopsis

Beyoncé’s highly anticipated album Cowboy Carter arrived during a revolution within country music as the latest arena of the culture wars in America. Some in the industry are welcoming more diverse artists, while others stick to a much narrower view of a genre that predominantly centres around straight, white men.

The documentary examines the impact of how high-profile artists like Lil Nas X and Beyoncé are challenging the country music status quo and how Black artists in Nashville have been laying the foundation for this transformation for some time.

Meet the cast of Dream Home, where all the contestants are winners

Unlike most competition shows, all of the cast members on Dream Home will be winners – as they will all have their existing homes renovated.

The brand-new series is hosted by Dr Chris Brown and will feature some of the biggest and best life-changing renovations Australia has ever seen.

“In real estate terms, my own skills are a renovator’s delight, in need of a serious makeover,” confesses Dr Chris. “I’ve somehow lived through two renovations and seen both of them blow out on time and budget; mostly because of my questionable decisions.

“I genuinely feel like I can relate to what our couples are experiencing – possibly more than they’ll ever know.”

Over the course of the season, six teams of everyday Aussies will renovate their teammate’s homes. The teams will accumulate points for their room renovations along the way, and the top winning couple will also receive a cash prize of $100,000 to help with their mortgage.

The team’s room renos will be judged by a trio of expert judges – Lana Taylor of Three Birds Renovations, top buyer’s agent Simon Cohen and award-winning interior designer Rosie Morley.

From group chats to cook-ups: MasterChef’s Snezana reveals the cast’s close off-screen bonds

It’s clear that the MasterChef Australia 2024 cast is a close-knit group, and Snezana has revealed how their friendships blossomed when the cameras weren’t rolling.

During a post-elimination interview with Chattr, Snezana gushed about her time on MasterChef, calling it “one of the best experiences” she’s ever had. And, the Serbian cook listed the strong bonds she built with the other contestants as something she’s eternally grateful for.

“Every time I watched MasterChef previously, I always thought, ‘Oh my god, they’re all so super supportive and it’s a competition. How’s that possible?'” She laughed.

“But, I’m honestly overwhelmed. This range of 21 people, absolutely amazing people,” she said. “I’m 100% sure I will stay friends with all of them, and I will see them and we’ll do things together.”

The cast has a group chat which blows up when the show’s on

Though Snezana may be gone from our screens, she’s still part of the show in her own way. The financial executive revealed that the entire cast is in a group chat, which blows up with messages as they watch the show together each time it’s on.

“We even have a group chat that doesn’t stop ever, ever ever,” she laughed.

And who’s the most talkative in the chat?

“It’s definitely Gill! She’s fun, and she always comes up with funny pictures of all of us, like what would we think, and what would we say. Then she would cut out someone’s head, and put it on somewhere else. Funny things like that.”‘

The cast cooked together when they weren’t filming

Night after night, the MasterChef Australia 2024 cast whips up absolutely delicious dishes, but those creations are sent straight to the judges.

However, the contestants still get a chance to taste each other’s cooking, because they whip up meals together after filming for the day wraps.

“Not in the [MasterChef] kitchen,” Snezana explains. “Because everything happens so quick. You cook, cook, cook, cook, time’s up, and we stand at our benches, so we don’t really try each other’s food. It goes straight in for tasting while it’s still hot.”

“But we do share accommodation, obviously we are in the same accommodation, and after the day finishes, we all make dinners together,” she said.

Snezana said that she was blown away by Sumeet’s cooking back at the accommodation quarters.

“She is such a well-rounded cook. She can cook it all, from curries and stews to pastries, to sweets, and beautiful soup. She cooked proteins well and everything she cooks is a flavour bomb!”

“So many times I tried Sumeet’s food, and food from other contestants. There’s so many great things I had.”

“Boycotting”: Twitter fans aren’t happy about Farmer Joe’s Final Pick on FWAW 2024

Farmer Wants a Wife Final Decision 2 was an absolute doozy; it saw Farmer Joe pick Sarah over Keely in an absolutely nail-biting series of events.

Sarah was actually the first one to step out of the car at the final ceremony, which is traditionally linked to being sent home first so that the lead can have a happy moment with the winner after.

However, the tricky producers over at Channel Seven messed with viewers’ heads by pausing Joe’s speech to Sarah at a cliffhanger moment and bringing in Keely.

FWAW SERIES 14 – EVENT 5 FARMER JOE THURSDAY 7th DECEMBER SHOOT DAY 080

It was then that Farmer Joe let fan-favourite Keely down, and told her that the time wasn’t right for them. After Keely graciously exited FWAW, the screen panned back to Joe and Sarah and the Farmer told his potentially future wife that he wanted to start a future with her.

While the final scene between Joe and Sarah was certainly sweet, the couple have a disagreement during the episode that saw Sarah get mad at Joe because he wouldn’t indicate that she was his final choice.

Meanwhile, Keely and Joe’s family date went swimmingly, and she gifted him a thoughtful drawing.

The events of the episode – paired with Keely’s bubbly personality that’s shined throughout the season – left some fans devastated that she wasn’t the Final Pick, and they weren’t shy about voicing their opinion on the matter on Twitter.

Get ready for Farmer Wants a Wife’s Jess and Andrew’s gorgeous wedding!

Farmer Wants A Wife favourites Jess Nathan and Andrew Guthrie have checked off some massive relationship goals since their time on the show in 2017.

Over the past few years, the lovebirds have bought a house, gotten engaged, and most recently, tied the knot in March 2024.

The couple, who met on the 2021 season of FWAW, posted an adorable video from their honeymoon, which confirmed to followers and fans that they’d gotten married.

“Mr and Mrs Guthrie honeymooning hard 🤍,” Jess and Andrew captioned a joint Instagram post that showed them walking along the beach together.

And, there’s a reason the couple haven’t shared any footage from their actual wedding day – it will be shown after the Farmer Wants a Wife 2024 finale, which airs on May 21 at 7:30pm on Channel Seven.

Andrew and Jess’s FWAW journey

Andrew and Jess met on season 11 of Farmer Wants a Wife. In the finale, Andrew professed his love to Jess, however, the couple later revealed that they tried to leave the show early.

Jess and Nathan on FWAW. Seven.

“Andrew knew he was going to pick me, so we went to the producers and told them we’d fallen in love and wanted to leave, but they said no,” Jess said in an interview with Confidential.

She added that producers tried to downplay the intensity of their relationship so that the ending wouldn’t be spoiled for viewers.

“They would make sure the other girls won challenges. Whenever I was with Andrew, they only let me talk about why I wouldn’t move to the farm straight away.”

“We had a solid love story and they have spun it the other way,” Andrew added.

Jess’s Hen’s party

In February, Jess shared a collection of photos from her hen’s party on Instagram. The theme was ‘Glitter in the Grass’, and she and her friends celebrated by the pool wearing beautiful bright colours at a remote property.

“Still obsessing over this day and these ladies and that hunk at the end I’m marrying,” Jess captioned the pics, referring to a cardboard cut out of Andrew.

Jess’s wedding dress

Though the couple didn’t share any content from their wedding day, Jess did reveal some details about her wedding dress.

Weeks before her wedding Jess shared a photo of her wearing white and holding a bridal dress concealed in a bag.

“Not long now until I wear the dress of my dreams and marry the man of my dreams 🤍 @janehillbridal I cannot thank you enough. Best in the business 🫶,” she captioned the pic.
