The Married At First Sight 2024 Reunion Dinner Party was one of the most shocking to ever come out of the franchise; largely because Lauren Dunn was left blindsided when her ex Jono McCullough entered with fellow bride Ellie Dix.

Viewers were stunned to see Ellie and Jono giggle at Lauren’s heartbreak, but the MAFS bride has since revealed that more drama went down than what was shown on TV.

Lauren told PEDESTRIAN.TV. that although she was hurt but Ellie and Jonathan’s decision to come to the Reunion Dinner Party together, she actually made up with her ex at the event.

“I felt like an absolute idiot when they walked in,” Lauren said.

“After that all happened, and me and Jono had words, we actually had a good night together,” she told P.TV, just after the trailer came out.

“Every time you see them laughing, it’s because of me. Like Jono and Ellie were in stitches laughing all night because I was making them laugh because I’m funny. I don’t think they’ve laughed that much together so when they finally get to see me they were having a laugh.

“The trailer made it a little bit more sinister but we actually all end up having a good night and we actually could talk about that with the experts on the couch the next day.”

Other cast mates knew that Ellie and Jonathan were together

Viewers watched as Tori told Lauren at a Commitment Ceremony that Jono had been messaging Ellie behind his wife’s back.

Then, at the Final Vows, Lauren dumped Jonathan and mentioned that she believes Jonathan and Ellie are interested in progressing their relationship.

However, going into the finale, Lauren appeared to have no clue that Ellie and Jonathan had been quietly dating in the time between Final Vows and the event.

“Then when they had the support of the group, besides like Timothy and Sarah, so blatantly rubbing it in front of my face, I was quite embarrassed,” Lauren said.

“I’m annoyed because I’ve since found out that the majority of the cast knew about it and not one single person thought they should just send me a text and maybe let me know that this was happening,” she explained.

“I knew they were going to be together, my gut told me that but no one told me, not even them. Jono didn’t even slip me a text to give me the heads-up.”

Two years on from her Married At First Sight Final Vows, Ella Ding has officially tied the knot with her partner Guy Palermo.

The couple got engaged in February while they were on a jog around a local park. Ella managed to put together the wedding in record time, and she and Guy said “I do” on April 6th, 2024.

However, the wedding came as a massive surprise to Ella’s friends, including former MAFS bride Domenica Calarco. Ella and Guy eloped at a church, then she held a party for her 30th at night, which is where she told her loved ones that she’d actually gotten married.

Ella donned an adorable wedding dress for her ceremony that she found online.

“A dress I found from Google, bow / veil from ASOS and a team who created a vision that exceeded expectations,” she explained on Instagram.

We did a little further digging and found the dress, which was altered into a mini. The dress is by the brand Self Portrait and cost £380, which is approximately $730 AUD.

Ella and Guy’s vows

Ella shared the marriage reveal video that she played for her friends and family at her 30th birthday party. The clip includes the beautiful vows that Ella and Guy exchanged at the ceremony.

 “I believe every experience we have been through in life has prepared us to be ready for where we are now,” she began.

“Guy you are my best friend and I love you so much. Thank you for choosing me and what I come with, quirks and all.

“I can’t wait to do the rest of my life with you.”

Guy’s vows were equally as sweet.

“You’re the single most beautiful person in the world to me every single day,” he said. “You’re my best friend, my confidant and my life partner and I’ll always feel blessed to have you by my side. I love you.”

Jonathan and Ellie shocked the nation when they breezed into the MAFS Reunion Dinner Party together, but a body language expert believes that Lauren knew about her ex’s new relationship.

Jonathan, who was married to Lauren during the experiment, entered the dinner party hand in hand with his new girlfriend. The group were shocked to see them as a couple and made it clear that they weren’t aware that the two were dating.

However, Combined Communications Specialist and Body Language Expert Scott Taylor, told Chattr that Lauren’s body language suggested that she knew that Ellie and Jonathan were coming together.

“When Ellie and John walked in Lauren looked twice and there was no flash of surprise at all. She already knew,” he said.

“Lauren had lip compression even before they came in so I’d guess she even knew they were next in “

Scott added that there were indications from other cast members that showed that they knew about the controversial new couple.

“Michael saying Jono and Ellie were last [to the Dinner Party] also indicates they knew the order (no mention Madeleine for example).

When did Ellie and Jonathan start their relationship?

As viewers already know, Jonathan was messaging Ellie during the experiment, when he was still partnered with Lauren.

Scott believes that nothing because physical between Ellie and Jonathan until after they’d broken up with their partners, which he says helped to relieve the guilt they felt.

“Johnathan said they only really connected a week after the final vows he didn’t change vocal infection or cadence,” he explained. “I believe he has mentally reconciled it as he wasn’t physical with Ellie till then, it wasn’t inappropriate.”

Scott also observed Ellie and Jonathan’s body language as they were driving to the Reunion Dinner Party.

“In the car Johno had his legs spread out, confident people take space,” he said. “I also noticed Ellie was angled and leaning into him and even had her head tilted showing more vulnerability and openness.”

The Married At First Sight 2024 reunion fills in the gaps between what happened at Final Vows, and how the participants fared afterwards.

While a reunion almost definitely has a gap in time between the show’s finale, many fans are wondering just how long that stretch of time was on MAFS 2024.

When was the MAFS Reunion filmed?

Daily Mail Australia published leaked photos of the contestants arriving in Sydney for the reunion show which were taken in November 2023.

The publication also published photos of the contestants on the way to their Final Vows, which were snapped in October 2023.

So, the couples – and singles – had about a month free in the real world, before they came together to spill the tea at the MAFS Reunion Dinner Party and the Reunion Finale.

So, given the batch of participants in the experiment this year, you can definitely expect that some d-r-a-m-a went down during those four weeks.

Where was the MAFS reunion filmed?

The 2024 MAFS reunion will come in two parts; the Reunion Dinner Party and the Reunion Finale.

The Reunion Dinner Party was filmed at The Grounds Alexandria in Sydney. The Grounds is a gorgeous event space and cafe that’s filled with flowers, gardens and beautiful architecture, as well as some absolutely delicious food.

When will the MAFS Reunion air?

The Reunion Dinner Party will air on Sunday, April 7th at 7pm, and the Reunion Finale on Monday, April 8th at 7:30pm

Married At First Sight’s Lucinda Light will be dishing out advice to her fans as part of her new career move.

The fan favourite has launched an initiative called the Lucinda Light Tribe, which is a subscription group that her fans can join and receive advice from her, as well as stay up to date on what she’s up to.

On top of that, Lucinda will release a line of merchandise.

Fans can join the Lucinda Light Tribe for a subscription fee of $27 a month. It’s dubbed as “a nurturing space where Lu can prioritize your emotional well-being, relationships, and communication skills-often overlooked in our busy lives.”

The Ask Lu Zoom calls

The calls are one of the main drawcards, however, they won’t be individual calls, instead, subscribers will have access to bi-monthly calls which will occur on set dates.

“Twice a month you’re going to have Live Zoom chats with me, it’s a segment called Ask Lu,” she explained in a video. “You can submit questions around communication, conflict resolution, self-regulation, conscious relating, all of the juicy topics.”

So far, Lucinda only has one piece of merchandise available, and it’s not exactly what you’d expect!

Her online shop lists a game-like activity called Party Activator Cards, which are described as “an exclusive adults-only card game boasting 60 cards designed to elevate your celebration”.

In what may be the biggest twist in an already wild season of Married at First Sight, Andrea Thompson and Timothy Smith shared a video of them having a night in together with her daughter.

Yup, that Andrea who was paired with Richard Sauerman and that Timothy who was matched with Lucinda Light by the MAFS experts.

The video, which was taken by Andrea and shared by the Instagram account MAFSGossip, shows the Married At First Sight bride sitting on the couch alongside her daughter.

“We’re watching Jack and Tori’s final vows, Indi and I,” she begins, before panning the camera to Timothy asleep on the couch.

“With Timmy,” she added. “And, he’s so into it he’s fallen asleep. He’s that bored.”

What did Andrea say about the video?

Fans naturally grew suspicious that Andrea and Timothy had sparked up a relationship outside of the MAFS experiment.

However, Andrea has told New Idea that she and Timothy are just “beautiful friends”.

“There’s nothing romantic there,” she said.

“I adore him, and he adores me. He’s been a rock to me at times,” Andrea added.

Are Timothy and Andrea dating?

Well, all we have to go on at the moment is the video of Timothy and Andrea hanging out. In a house together. At night time.

HOWEVER, a friend of Andrea’s recently opened up about the reality star’s love life and hinted that she’s dating someone new who fans of the show would recognise.

“This man calls and texts her almost every day, he’s coming to see her this weekend they’re having a secret little catch-up and have planned to stay together for a few days and then in a week or two she’s going to go and see him again!!!”

Plus, the pal indulged that “readers would be familiar with this person.”

Could it be Timothy that the friend is referring to!?

What else do we know about Andrea’s new man?

In March 2024, Andrea told Daily Mail Australia that she was back on the dating scene, but played coy about her current relationship status.

“Yes, I’m definitely dating again,” she told the publication. “I just wish someone would ask me out, and I have to tell you if this guy shows up with a scarf on, I’m running to the hills,’ she joked, referring to Richard’s fondness for donning the neck accessory.
