Gogglebox Australia 2025: Everything you need to know about Season 21

Can you believe there have been 21 seasons of Gogglebox Australia?! Consider us gog-smacked (sorry).

Another season is almost here, and we can’t wait to watch some of our favourite armchair experts watching some of our favourite TV.

This is everything you need to know about the upcoming season of Gogglebox Australia.

When will Gogglebox Australia 2025 be premiering?

Gogglebox Australia will be premiering on Thursday, the 20 February 2025 at 7.30pm.

Where can I watch Gogglebox Australia?

You can watch Gogglebox Australia on Channel 10, 10Play and Paramount Plus.

Who is in the cast for Gogglebox Australia?

We’re keen to reunite our favourite couch commentators this year on Gogglebox Australia 2025.

Some of the fan-faves returning this season include the Delpechitra family, the loveable grandparents Lee and Keith, the hilarious best friends Anastasia and Faye, and the close-knit family of four, the Daltons.

Split image from Gogglebox Australia: Anastasia and Faye (left) reacting with shock, spilling popcorn, and Lee and Keith (right) sit together smiling on a couch

Also returning to deliver their hilarious opinions are best mates Adam and Symon, foodie siblings Tim and Leanne, surfing buddies Milo and Nic, the trio of friends Kevin, Bob, and Jared, as well as sister duo Mia and Bree and their close friend Lainey.

And let’s not forget Matty, his son Malik, and Uncle Jad, who we’re also super excited to welcome back this season!

Who won’t be returning?

One family we won’t be seeing this season is the Silbery family, who sadly won’t be returning to the show.

Isabelle Silbery (Izzy) announced in a November 2024 Instagram post that she won’t be back on Gogglebox Australia after being cut after 17 seasons.

“Foxtel have decided not to renew our beloved show and although the show will continue on Channel 10, the three of us have not been included in its new form,” Izzy shared.

The Silbery family sure will be missed!

What can I expect this season?

As always, our favourite television tastemakers will laugh, cry, scream, howl, and bicker about the latest on Aussie screens, sharing their hot takes on the shows that had everyone talking the week before.

What shows will the cast be watching?

Based on past seasons, we’re in for a mix of TV, dramas, comedies, and hot current events.

Expect shows like The Bachelor, Married at First Sight, The Block, FBoy Island, The Voice, Bondi Rescue, Below Deck, Dessert Masters, Thank God You’re Here, plus news segments a variety from outlets including The Project, The Bolt Report, and ABC News.

And, of course, whatever new TV show, movie, sports game, or doco was making waves that week.

Gogglebox Australia 2025 will premiere on February 20, at 7.30pm on Ten, 10Play and Paramount Plus.

MAFS star Jessika Power tears up over murdered ex Sam Abdulrahim

Jessika Power, best known for appearing on Married at First Sight (MAFS) 2019, has spoken for the first time since the death of her ex-boyfriend, Sam “The Punisher” Abdulrahim, a notorious gangland figure in Melbourne’s underworld.

Sam was gunned down in a carpark outside the Quest Hotel in Preston on Tuesday, 28 January, around 10am. The Mongol bikie turned boxer had survived multiple assassination attempts before his life was cut short.

Here’s what Jessika had to say about it all.

“It’s been really hard to hear”

Speaking to Daily Mail, Jessika shed tears as she spoke about Sam’s death.

“It’s been really, really hard to hear,” she told the news outlet.

Though Jessika and Sam had split up back in 2019, Jessika shared that Sam had been there for her long after their breakup, continuing to support her right up until a few months ago.

“We ended on really good terms,” she said. “He’s always been supportive to me if I needed him.”

Jessika also expressed her sympathies for Sam’s wife and child.

“She’s going to grow up without a dad, and it’s such a toxic world to be in that underworld thing.

“It makes my head rattle because there are all these people are out there having these wars, but basically you’re assassinating someone’s father, brother or kid,” she continued.

Despite Sam’s connections to murders and gang-related crimes, which have made him one of the more notorious figures in Melbourne’s underworld, Jessika still felt compelled to defend his character.

“Everybody looks at these bikies and Mongols as bad people, but he was a family man, he was dedicated to his family,” she said.

“He was protective of his family and he was certainly protective of me when we were together,” she continued.

“He was a dad, he was a husband, he’s someone’s son and he’s just a really good guy,” she added.

Jessika also revealed that her brother, Rhyce Power, was “devastated” by the news of Sam’s death.

“He’s been a good friend to my brother for years as well,” Jessika said, adding, “This is just so fucking sad.”

Jessika and Sam’s short-lived romance

Jessika and Sam began their relationship after he was released from prison in 2019, following his three-year jail sentence for causing the death of 88-year-old Muriel Hulett in a high-speed car crash.

Sam, behind the wheel of a Ferrari Spider, lost control while driving at 110 kilometers per hour on the wrong side of the road in a 60 kilometers per hour zone. Muriel died eight days later from injuries sustained in the collision.

The pair met through mutual friends, but Sam’s connection to the gangland underworld was ultimately one of the reasons the MAFS star decided to end things.

“I just feel like that underworld thing at the minute in Melbourne and Sydney is just getting out of hand,” Jessika explained to the Daily Mail.

“It was part of the reason why I ended up leaving because I just didn’t want to be around that.”

MAFS 2025 Episode 1 Recap: Meet THE BRIDE’S SISTER

For the first Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 recap, let’s focus on the first two weddings and BRIDE’S SISTER.

Because truly, she could warrant her own article.

And reality TV series.

MAFS 2025 Couple 1: Paul and Carina are too hot for me to care

Paul was on a show called The Real Love Boat and it was the big, bad deck no one asked for. He’s French and we’re reminded of this 127 times throughout the episode.

Paul Antonie speaking to camera during a MAFS episode.
You’re French?!?!?!? Image: Nine.

We’re reminded the same amount of times that this is the most interesting thing about him. Even though MAFS 2025 expert John Aiken is really into whatever he is putting down.

You don’t fool anyone Daddy John. Image: Nine.

Carina is hot and Italian and has a big, mostly loved-up family. A savage solo photo of her amongst couples reminds her of this, like some kind of evil anti-vision board.

Carina sitting with family during a MAFS episode.
I fear this frame was made specifically for this wall. Image: Nine.

It also reminds us all that a colour analysis is a worthy investment.

An old picture of Carina before MAFS.
I fear you had been influenced by Kim Kardashian. Image: Nine.

Everyone decides that Paul and Carina are equally hot upon meeting at the altar and, therefore, a good match. But I say “meeting” loosely.

Carina and Paul have been matched as a MAFS 2025 couple.
She will do collabs with Sheike, him with Roger David.

Unbelievably, it turns out the pair had been on a hiking date before their wedding, and even more unbelievably, it wasn’t on the Bondi to Bronte. They are both from Western Australia, a boot camp destination for reality TV and, apparently, up-and-coming actors. How the fuck did they keep a straight face for the ceremony?

Carina and Paul reveal they knew each other before MAFS.
Great acting babe!! Image: Nine.

The whole thing was almost as convincing as when Carina told us her dress was inspired by her mum and not Jamie Sullivan in A Walk To Remember.

Jamie Sullivan gets married on A Walk To Remember.

Carina is all “screw this I want someone else” because Paul ghosted her — yes, even though she is that hot. Paul is all “omg a second chance” because he is now televised and needs to fool Australia into thinking he’s a Disney Prince. Or at least a Gaston.

Gaston from Beauty and the Beast.
Perhaps this will make her believe there are no other choices out there. Image: Disney

Paul reckons wasn’t ready to be in a relationship eight months ago, as if eight months is a lifetime. Doesn’t the MAFS application process take a fucking hot minute? Also, he clearly doesn’t need a dating show if he’s scoring dates with someone like Carina IRL. I don’t trust the bloke. If he can pretend he’s seeing someone for the first time, he can pretend he’s ready for commitment.

MAFS 2025 Couple 2: Eliot will ruin Lauren’s life

Lauren is a modern-day Betty Crocker who would prefer to live in a time where saying “pussies” is fine and scrubbing a fiddle leaf is a normal thing to do.

Lauren walks down the street for MAFS b roll.
This is Lauren AKA Betty. Image: Nine.

Eliot (with one ‘t’ and one ‘l’) thinks caring too much about your partner is icky, hates “trashy” women, and hopes for an apron-wearing woman to come home to. I hate him.

He threatens to Houdini on the wedding day if he’s not satisfied. He does not mention whether or not he’ll ensure his wife is also satisfied before concluding business. This says everything we need to know about him.

Lauren and Eliot are paired together as a MAFS 2025 couple.
Hot guys finish first. That’s not a compliment. Image: Nine.

All is well when Eliot decides Lauren’s headband is “adorable” upon meeting her on their wedding day. All is not well when he realises who “THE BRIDE’S SISTER” is.

THE BRIDE’S SISTER

“THE BRIDE’S SISTER” AKA Tammy is a wild child but not the type I would like to adopt.

Tamara AKA Tammy is Lauren Hall's sister.
Please let Eliot and Betty Crocker make the final weeks just so we can see Tammy again. Image: Nine.

Lauren describes her as “unhinged” and honestly, I cannot believe they share blood. Listen.

During wedding prep, Tammy told Lauren that she’s the “skinnier” one, a clue that she was raised in the 90s and also that she is likely a conniving asshole.

Tamara Hall made quite the impression during the debut MAFS 2025 episode.
I used to sneak added fat into her protein shake. Image: Nine.

THE BRIDE’S SISTER then deemed the entire wedding an “abortion”, a term typically reserved for terminating a birth, after she was not given a pescetarian meal to eat.

Tamara talking to a MAFS producer.
I AM THE BRIDE’S SISTER. Image: Nine.

She also called Lauren “frigid”, an insult that typically comes out of the mouth of a 12-year-old for not making Eliot uncomfortable in the way she did Jordy.

Eliot wonders if Lauren's sister is a red flag.
Jordy’s mine k? Image: Nine.

I’ve never been more thankful for my own sisters, who I would lightly drown if they cockblocked my chance with someone as hot as Eliot.

To be clear, Lauren does not yet know that Eliot’s a bit fucked, so at this stage THE BRIDE’S SISTER is just torpedoing Lauren’s opportunity to be with a stable hairline.

Best moments from MAFS 2025, Episode 1:

  • The producers using a TikTok supercut to remind us how big MAFS is.
  • Carina saying “Hi daddy” and then the viewer (me) finding out she’s talking to her father, not Paul.
  • Carina’s Aunty asking Paul is he’s a good boy even though he is a human and not a dog.
  • How terrified Eliot’s groomsman Jordy was of Tammy.
  • Tammy belittling her sister only to refer to herself as her sister to get what she wants.
  • That Jamie girl in the robot coat at The Hen’s. Someone to watch.

Lauren Hall’s “problematic” sister Tamara is apparently doing a MAFS 2025 tell-all

Two couples got married during the Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 premiere, but it was bride Lauren Halls sister Tamara Hall who unequivocally stole the show.

Lauren was introduced to viewers as a business owner who wants to “serve” her partner in every possible way. Meanwhile, her groom, Eliot Donovan, made it very clear that he had high standards and was willing to walk away if he didn’t think his bride was up to scratch.

As if their match-up wasn’t chaotic enough, Tamara was shown entering her sister Lauren’s bridal suite, where she declared that her sibling was a “bridezilla” and “horrendous”. Lauren countered the accusations by saying that the crew would need a “valium, champagne and a taser gun” to handle Tamara.

And, viewers hoping for drama weren’t left disappointed. At Lauren’s wedding, Tamara flirted with the best man, called the event an “abortion”, and threw a tantrum because she didn’t get a pescatarian meal, all before storming out and claiming that she wanted “compensation”.

What has Tamara said about the MAFS episode?

Tamara watched the MAFS 2025 premiere along with the rest of Australia on January 27 and took to Instagram to air her thoughts.

“I know how it looks – I watched the same episode as everyone else, and without context, I totally get it. But there’s over 18 hours of footage you didn’t see. I’ll be sharing a tell-all soon, so stay tuned!”

Tamara’s Instagram story. Image: Instagram.

The Brisbane-based real estate agent said that she wasn’t taking the show too seriously.

“Just a little reminder – this is a reality TV show, heavily edited to get the highest ratings, and I earned the villain badge by refusing to conform. It’s not real life guys, so don’t take it too personally! It’s out of my control, so I’m fully embracing it – the good, the bad, and the ugly.”

Put us on the waitlist!

I’m a Celebrity 2025: Sigrid and Geraldine share emotional stories on ADHD diagnoses

When A-list actress Sigrid Thornton and comedian Geraldine Hickey opened up about being diagnosed with ADHD as adults on the January 27 episode of I’m a Celebrity Australia 2025, the South African jungle got a whole lot realer.

Adding to the emotions, co-host Julia Morris also spoke publicly for the first time about her own journey with ADHD.

Between the laughs and the viper rooms, its moments like these on I’m a Celebrity that remind us of the real people behind the big celeb names. Here’s a quick recap of what happened, and what we learned.

Sigrid Thornton (left) in a tan jacket against a jungle backdrop and Geraldine Hickey (right) in a red vest, from I'm a Celebrity 2025

Sigrid and Geraldine open up about their adult ADHD diagnosis

Gathered at the I’m a Celebrity 2025 basecamp with fellow contestants Dave Hughes and Samantha Moitzi, Geraldine and Sigrid shared a heartfelt exchange, bonding over how their recent ADHD diagnoses brought much-needed clarity to their lives.

“If I looked at my bingo card for 2025, having a shared experience in a South African jungle with Sigrid Thornton about ADHD… Yeah, it wasn’t there,” said Geraldine in her Tok Tokkie.

Sigrid described her diagnosis as a pivotal moment in understanding herself.  “At my age, being diagnosed was really just about clarity,” she said.

“It is a sort of watershed thing, because it gives you some clarity and also just understanding a lot of things dropped into place.”

Sigrid got teary as she spoke candidly about her struggles with following through on personal commitments, and the regret she’s carried because of it.

“This is a source of my shame,” she admitted

“It’s not really being able to follow through with the people I care about…. It always caused me terrible embarrassment that I couldn’t keep up with all of those demands… It’s a big burden.”

“It’s actually really great to understand it,” Sigrid reflected in her own Tok Tokkie. “It really moved me to hear that I wasn’t alone.”

For Geraldine, whose struggles in school and, later, university, deeply affected her self-perception, even culminating in a stay in a psychiatric unit that later inspired her comedy, the diagnosis was equally and profoundly significant.

“Some people have talked about [how] you mourn for your life that you could have had,” she explained to the group. “For me, the first solo stand up show that I ever did is about that week that I was in that hospital.”

“So getting that diagnosis is a huge validation of who you are and [that] you’re not dumb. You’re actually quite incredible because you’re a very successful human being with this silly brain that you’ve got.”

Julia Morris shares her ADHD experience, too

The episode struck another chord when Julia spoke about her own ADHD diagnosis at 56 — something she described as “super confronting.”

“I have not talked about that publicly,” she shared during a commentary segment alongside co-host Robert Irwin. “It’s been an intense process.”

Julia praised Sigrid and Geraldine’s openness, saying, “I love that my children will be home watching these celebrities, because it does mean there are going to be children and adults at home going, ‘God, I think that way.’”

She also related to Sigrid’s experience with friendships, revealing her own struggles: “My friends that have gone by the wayside because they just gave up on ever getting a return message.”

“It’s great to hear some of those exact things talked about. I think it helps.”

Seriously, what a brave bunch! Who’d have thought I’m a Celebrity would get us all in our feelings like this?

MAFS 2025: Check out the best Twitter reactions to the premiere

It’s back, baby! The Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2025 premiere has officially landed, and if drama’s what you’re after (let’s be real, it is), you’re in for a treat.

The Hens and Bucks parties set the stage for an unforgettable season, introducing us to the MAFS 2025 cast (and their nightmare relatives) in all their chaotic glory.

Plus, our first couples tied the knot! Carina Mirabile and Paul Antoine (who awkwardly already knew each other and were on shaky terms after Paul ghosted her) and Eliot Donovan and Lauren Hall all said their “I dos” to their TV brides and grooms.

From instant fan favourites like Tony Mojanovski and Katie Johnson to questionable, to say the least, characters like Eliot (who’s giving top-tier douche vibes) and 1920s tradwife hopeful Lauren, there’s already plenty to talk about. We also got some very interesting side characters, like Lauren’s sister Tamara, who, to put it mildly, made for some insane television.

But we weren’t the only ones with hot takes! Keep reading for some of the best Twitter reactions to the MAFS 2025 premiere.

Some MAFS 2025 fan favs have already emerged

Katie, the founder of EATS HQ, a Queensland-based social enterprise restaurant, is without a doubt a sweet angel who deserves all the love on this season of MAFS!

And some MAFS 2025 villains!

So basically, Paul ghosted Carina back in the day, but that was the old him. Or so he says.

Eyebrows were raised over Paul and Carina

I mean, it’s pretty suss considering Carina has a background in acting, right?

And people had A LOT to say about Eliot and Lauren

We’re not going to lie, this MAFS couple is pretty tough to love. Still, Lauren somehow comes across as the more likeable sister in the family?

Also Lauren’s sister, Tamara, straight up sucks

To be fair, Tamara recently shared on her Insta that she knows it wasn’t a great look but pointed out there were hours of footage that didn’t make it to the MAFS 2025 premiere. She also teased a “tell-all” coming soon and, boy, we can’t wait!

Plus, poor Billy!

Don’t let the haters get to you, Billy Belcher! Baby Reindeer or not, you’re still an absolute cutie in our eyes.

Well, what a time! If the MAFS 2025 premiere didn’t already have you buzzing, the best is still to come. With more weddings, honeymoons, dinner parties, and all the glorious drama on the horizon, this season is shaping up to be unhinged perfection. Our popcorn is ready!

I’m a Celebrity Australia… Get Me Out Of Here Australia 2025 airs Sundays at 7pm and Monday – Thursdays at 7:30pm on Channel 10 and 10Play.

Aussie A-lister Sigrid Thornton takes on the I’m a Celebrity 2025 jungle!

It was a memorable night on January 26 for I’m a Celebrity Australia 2025 as the 13th celebrity to join the cast made a dramatic entrance — none other than the iconic Australian actress, Sigrid Thornton.

The legendary film and TV star made quite the splash, tied to train tracks as the Jungle Express rushed “out of control” towards her.  Fellow contestant and Bondi Rescue star Harrison Reid was tasked with earning 13 stars in 13 minutes while diverting the train to save Sigrid!

Her stint on I’m a Celebrity 2025 marks Sigrid’s reality TV debut, and we can’t wait to see what this Aussie legend will bring to the South African jungle

Scroll on for all the details on Sigrid’s latest chapter on I’m a Celebrity 2025.

Who is Sigrid?

Sigrid has been a fixture in the Australian film, television, and theatre scene for over four decades. She’s starred in some of Australia’s most beloved films, including The Man From Snowy River, as well as The Lighthorsemen, Snapshot, Scare Campaign, and more, with the 2024 national release of the indie film Slant marking another feather in her cap.

Aussie fans probably know her best from her TV resume, which is seriously impressive. She shone in Nine’s flagship drama Amazing Grace, rebooted the hit SeaChange, and graced the screen as a series regular on Wentworth. Her portrayal of Judy Garland in the miniseries Peter Allen – Not the Boy Next Door earned her the AACTA award for Best Supporting Actress.

Most recently, Sigrid starred in Lifespan of a Fact at the Sydney Theatre Company in 2021 and tackled Andrew Upton’s adaptation of The Seagull in 2023.

Throughout her illustrious career she’s collected an array of awards, including Logies, People’s Choice, and in 2019, she received the Chauvel Award and CinefestOZ Award for her exceptional contribution to Australian screen arts.

So, what’s Sigrid Thornton doing in the I’m a Celebrity jungle?

On her first Tok Tokkie, Sigrid shared what motivated her to join the I’m a Celebrity cast: to finally be herself.

“I played doctors, nurses, psychopaths, prisoners, you name it. And now here I’m gonna play me, which is both exciting and terrifying,” she said.

“I’m an actor. You may know me from films like The Man from Snowy River, television series like SeaChange and Wentworth. I’ve been an actor most of my life,” she continued.

“I think people might be surprised to know that I’m actually a very serious dag. That’s gonna be fun to reveal, and I’m also an optimist. I’m a team player, and I don’t mind getting my hands dirty. Let the games begin!”

As Sigrid joined the camp alongside her hero Harrison, the other contestants were quick to express their admiration.

“She is a superstar, one of the most brilliant Australian actors ever, and I cannot believe she’s in the jungle,” said Dave Hughes, who played tour guide to the acting titan.

Sigrid shared with the Tok Tokkie that she felt a strong sense of “warm camaraderie” with her new jungle family.

It’s still early days, so we can’t wait to see how Sigrid fares in the camp. Will she claim the title of Queen of the Jungle? We’re keen to find out!

We’re in the thick of awards season, with nominations dropping left and right, and overnight, the 2025 Oscar nominations were announced.

In usual Oscars fashion, there were snubs and surprises, but some of our faves got a nod. Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo were both nominated for their respective roles in Wicked.

Nicole Kidman was sadly snubbed from her role in Babygirl and raunchy tennis movie Challengers was completely shut out.

Heere are all the nominees for the 2025 Oscars.

“Me and Al were definitely the last couple”: Samantha Moitzi spills BTS deets about her MAFS relationship

Samantha Moitzi is back in the limelight covered in critters as a campmate on I’m a Celebrity Australia 2025, but when she shot to fame on Married At First Sight Australia (MAFS), it was her TV husband Al Perkins who dominated the limelight.

Al left MAFS 2022 as one of the most polarising participants to ever appear on the show, thanks to his penchant for doing ‘shoeys’ and his bold and bubbly personality.

While Al and Samantha didn’t make it through the season as a couple, Samantha has now opened up about how they came to be paired together on MAFS and what their relationship was really like.

Samantha says her and Al’s couple was formed at the last minute

Samantha and Al were one of the most popular couples to take part in MAFS 2022, with both participants gaining well over 100,000 Instagram followers during their time on the show.

However, during a heart-to-heart during the January 23 episode of I’m a Celebrity Australia 2025, Samantha revealed that she believes she and Al were the last couple invited to join the season.

Samantha explained that a casting producer approached her in 2019 when she was working in a retail store and was freshly out of a six-year relationship. The scout followed up with a phone call, but she didn’t hear back again.

“Two years later, I get an email,” she explained during the episode. “The email said Hi Samantha, it’s casting for Married At First Sight Season 9; wondering if you’re still single.”

Samantha replied, confirming that she was, and told her campmates that she was shocked about how fast the ball started rolling.

“The interview process was really quick,” she said. “About two and a half weeks later, they gave me two and a half grand to find a wedding dress.

“I had to buy it off the rack. Some of the [other participants] had months’ notice, so me and Al were definitely the last couple,” she added.

MAFS’ Samantha Moitzi revealed what Al Perkins was like on the show

Avid fans of MAFS will remember that Samantha was repeatedly frustrated with Al’s immaturity during their season.

However, upon reflection, Samantha spoke fondly about her ex when former The Masked Singer Australia panellist Dave Hughes asked if Al was “not nice”.

“No, he was,” she said. “I don’t want to talk shit about him. He didn’t talk shit about me. It just wasn’t right, and then in the end, it just got hard because I was just like, ‘I’m sick of it’ because it was so dramatic.”

Ah! A MAFS couple that hasn’t ended up despising each other. We love to see it.

I’m a Celebrity Australia… Get Me Out Of Here Australia 2025 airs Sundays at 7pm and Monday – Thursdays at 7:30pm on Channel 10 and 10Play.

“Back in the closet”: I’m a Celebrity’s Geraldine Hickey details her struggles of coming out as gay

I’m a Celebrity Australia 2025′Geraldine Hickey has opened up about coming out as lesbian and confided in her campmate Samantha Moitzi that she initially felt out of place in the gay community.

During the January 23 episode of I’m a Celebrity, Geraldine told Samantha that she expected to be welcomed with open arms the first time she went to a lesbian bar.

“I walked into that bar thinking at least someone would be like, ‘Oh hey, welcome!'” she explained.

“I walked in, and I’m in a lesbian bar, and people just looked you up and down and ignored you. And I just felt horrible.”

Geraldine told Samantha that the experience had her originally questioning her own sexuality.

“I was just like, ‘Oh, if I feel shit in here, that means I don’t belong. If I don’t belong in a lesbian bar, then I’m not a lesbian. I really felt like I didn’t belong.”

She tearfully added, “All anyone wants to do is belong.”

Geraldine Hickey’s experience led her to pretend she was straight

Geraldine explained that the poignant experience made her retreat and ignore her sexuality.

“Mum and Dad are quite conservative, and we grew up Catholic, so I just went back in the closet and was just like, ‘No, I love men’.”

The Australian comedian eventually came out publicly as a lesbian in 2012 but reflected that her first experience at the gay bar caused a delay in her accepting her sexuality.

“I was young, and it really made me question everything about myself,” she said during the episode.

While it’s heartbreaking to hear about Geraldine’s challenging journey, it’s heartwarming to see her now confidently embracing her true self.

I’m a Celebrity Australia… Get Me Out Of Here Australia 2025 airs Sundays at 7pm and Monday – Thursdays at 7:30pm on Channel 10 and 10Play.

Alessandra Rampolla talks MAFS 2025 drama, and challenging the cast on disposable dating

Relationship expert Alessandra Rampolla teased the upcoming drama in Married At First Sight (MAFS) Australia 2025, revealing that participants will be challenged on their disposable dating attitudes that have been fueled by the rise of dating apps.

With dating literally at our fingertips, there is often the temptation to quickly move on to another suitor when things aren’t perfect—something Alessandra said many of the MAFS 2025 cast complained about.

During an interview with 9Entertainment, Alessandra drew a comparison between searching for love on the show and finding a connection on dating apps.

“We see a lot of crossover with the very disposable nature of online dating, that the participants say that they don’t want,” she said.

Alessandra said that during the experiment, she and the other MAFS 2025 relationship experts noticed the participant’s inclination to quickly shut down when something wasn’t right in their relationship.

“When faced with the reality of the match that perhaps they don’t like, they fall right into wanting to be very disposable,” she explained.

“So it’s very interesting to put this mirror up to all these things that we see in real-life dating, and even with people who are claiming they’re so against it, how it’s so instilled that they also fall into that trap within the experiment.”

Alessandra Rampolla teases a big MAFS 2025 twist

Alessandra teased that viewers can expect some couples to thrive on the show, but said that a twist at the tail end of the season may put these relationships in jeopardy.

“During the end of the experiment, when the couples have been saying that they really are sure, some things are not so sure,” she said.

“When getting the possibility to look behind door number two, are they really that committed? Are they really that in love, or are they still open to another possibility? That can change things very quickly…”

Bring on the drama!

MAFS Australia 2025 air on January 27 on Channel 9 and 9Now.

“I just wanted to be white”: I’m a Celebrity 2025’s Tina Provis reflects on childhood racism

Media personality and Love Island alum Tina Provis got raw and real during the I’m a Celebrity Australia 2025 episode that aired on January 22. She opened up about being bullied for her Asian heritage as a child and revealed how it led to a painful desire to appear “white.”

This season, hosted by the legendary Julia Morris and wildlife icon Robert Irwin, has been full of laughs and hair-raising challenges in the South African jungle. But heartfelt moments like Tina’s remind us of the personal stories behind the public faces of the I’m a Celebrity 2025 cast.

Who is Tina Provis?

Tina is an Asian Australian media personality and digital creator. You probably know her best from her time on Love Island Australia (seasons three and four) and as a competitor on the international spin-off Love Island Games

Tina actually made history as the first Asian woman to win the series during season three!

Side-by-side images of Tina Provis from Love Island Australia: in a pink and blue bikini with a glitter backdrop (left) and orange and yellow bikini against a turquoise background (right)

Tina has built a loyal following by sharing her life on socials with her trademark warmth and honesty. Whether it’s dishing on her dating life, sharing her latest culinary ventures, or offering life advice, Tina keeps things refreshingly real.

Tina uses her platform to advocate for meaningful causes, from empowering young women to amplifying voices of people of colour.

Tina gets candid about childhood bullying on I’m a Celebrity

During a heart-to-heart with her campmates Reggie Bird, Dave Hughes, and Matty J, Tina opened up about being bullied as a child for being Asian, and the impact it had on her self-image growing up.

“Boys were so mean,” Tina shared. “If I talked back to anything, the thing they would revert to was, ‘Oh, but you’re Asian.’”

Side-by-side images from I'm a Celebrity Australia 2025: Matty J, Reggie Bird, Dave Hughes, and Tina Provis conversing at the jungle campsite (left) and Tina Provis wiping away tears (right)

When Matty J asked if the bullying made her dislike her heritage, Tina admitted, “Yeah, I grew up just wanting to be like everyone else. I just wanted to be white.”

Speaking directly to the camera later in the Tok Tokkie, Tina reflected: “It’s really sad, when I think about myself in High School, wanting to change my eyes or my hair, or not wanting to associate myself with something I should be really proud of.”

Tina also shared how she developed defense mechanisms.

“It became a thing that I would actually make fun of my race first before anyone else could,” she explained to her campmates.

As she matured, however, Tina found the confidence to set boundaries with friends and express when comments hurt her.

“One day, I was like, ‘That actually makes me really upset when you say that.’”

She added, “It’s taken me some time to kind of reprogram how I think and accept how great it is that we are all unique and we’re all different, and to be better than people that don’t have something good to say about it.”

Well bloody said, Tina!

I’m a Celebrity Australia… Get Me Out Of Here Australia 2025 airs Sundays at 7pm and Monday – Thursdays at 7:30pm on Channel 10 and 10Play.

Apparently, a Spice Girl was meant to be on I’m a Celebrity Australia 2025

The I’m a Celebrity Australia 2025 cast has been confirmed; however, according to a sneaky source, it’s slightly different from the original lineup.

This year, some of the most well-known names on the I’m a Celebrity Australia 2025 cast list are comedian Dave Hughes, The Bachelor’s Matty J Johnson, and Big Brother’s Reggie Bird.

However, with the likes of Malcolm in the Middle’s Frankie Muniz appearing on I’m a Celebrity Australia 2024, some fans on social media have been questioning where the international celebrity is amongst this year’s cast.

Well, according to Yahoo Lifestyle Australia, Melanie Brown (known as Mel B) from the Spice Girls was meant to head into the jungle but pulled out at the last moment.

The Masked Singer Australia hosts Chrissie Swan, Abbie Chatfield, Mel B and Dave Hughes. Image: Ten.

“Melanie Brown was supposed to be the English international on the show,” a source told the publication, adding that she was offered a whopping $500,000 paycheque for her appearance.

“Mel wasn’t put off by ‘the jungle’ life and would have been happy to share the campsite with her former Masked Singer co-host [Dave] Hughesy but pulled out for personal reasons,” the insider continued.

“The money was right, the opportunity right, but sometimes these things fall over.”

Prior to the announcement of the cast and the season kicking off, Channel 10 released a bunch of clues about who was among the cast, and one of those was a “chart topper”.

The Spice Girls’ had phenomenal success; in fact, the all girl group has nine number-one songs, which tells us that Mel would have matched the clue perfectly.

Who took the Spice Girl’s spot on I’m a Celebrity Australia 2025?

The same publication reported that British TikToker Max Balegde is the celebrity who filled in for Mel when she pulled out.

While Max may not be as familiar as Mel B to the millennial watchers out there, he boasts over 3.5 million followers on TikTok, which may help attract a different age group of viewers to the show.

The same insider is confident that Max will be a hit with all the viewers—even those who hadn’t heard of him before I’m a Celebrity Australia 2025.

“He could easily go the whole way and win this thing,” they said.

Fingers crossed that there’s an intruder this season! (We’re looking at you, Mel B).

I’m a Celebrity Australia… Get Me Out Of Here Australia 2025 airs Sundays at 7pm and Monday – Thursdays at 7:30pm on Channel 10 and 10Play.

MAFS 2024’s Timothy Smith is running for parliament in the upcoming election

Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2024′s Timothy Smith has shocked fans after revealing he’s running for parliament in the upcoming Australian election.

The reality star, who was ‘married’ to Lucinda Light on MAFS 2024, shared the update in an Instagram video.

“Got a bit of news to go over you with. Look, I’ve officially thrown my hat into the ring to run for Minister of Parliament for the City of Melbourne for the upcoming federal election,” he began.

The news of Tim’s latest career move was first reported by Daily Mail Australia on January 20. The publication said that Tim was being advised by A Current Affair journalist Seb Costello.

However, in Tim’s Instagram announcement, while he denied that Seb was part of his campaign, he confirmed the fact that he was running.

“I was going to do [the announcement] another way, but we had to get it out there and get going on policies and where we stand,” he said.

“I’ve got a campaign manager, and it’s not Seb,” he said, adding: “I’ve been working on some of the projects, some of the issues, and talking to people.”

“You’ll see a ton more coming from me, both from this and other platforms.”

“I did see that article, and it is completely false,” he added. “I just want to put a quash to [that] rumour. I am running for office. So let’s wait and see.”

Former MAFS stars support Timothy’s political move

Some MAFS alumni have hit the comments section of Tim’s political announcement and offered their support.

“Huge Step!” Michael Felix—who was on MAFS 2024 with Tim—penned, alongside a clapping emoji.

“On you, legend! Fight for the little guys!” MAFS 2024’s Jonathan McCullough wrote.

Meanwhile, Sarah Roza, who appeared on MAFS 2018, asked Tim for more information about his plans for office.

“Gosh! Good luck, I wish you well, Tim… I’d love to know the policies you’ll be leading with?” She wrote.

Some of Tim’s followers questioned how he’d be able to run for office. Just days after MAFS 2024 finished airing, Tim appeared on A Current Affair and admitted that he’d spent time in an American prison for drug smuggling.

“Sorry, did you have a criminal conviction? I just remember seeing something about that. If so, how does that work exactly?” One follower asked. At the time of writing, Tim had not publicly responded to the question.

Married at First Sight 2025 premieres on January 27 on Channel 9 and 9Now.

But her journey has been anything but smooth. In 2019, Shayna faced a crushing setback after testing positive for Ligandrol, a muscle growth agent, resulting in a two-year ban. Labelled a “drug cheat,” she was forced to miss the Tokyo Olympics and her swimming career was marred by public scrutiny.

Shayna Jack opens up about her drug scandal on I’m a Celebrity

On Monday night’s episode, Shayna opened up about the emotional and financial toll of the scandal.

Speaking candidly with her campmates, she shared how she spent $180,000 trying to clear her name — a fight that left her in debt and reliant on her partner for support.

“Some nights I was in a really bad place,” Shayna revealed.

“[My partner] said those nights were the most fearful. He said he’d speed home because he just didn’t know if he was going to walk home into something that he wasn’t able to cope with.”

Her campmates were further shocked as Shayna revealed she was accused of dealing drugs. When fellow contestant and footy legend Sam Thaiday asked if she had considered filing for defamation, Shayna explained the financial cost was too great.

In a tearful Tok Tokkie confessional, Shayna expressed how her time on I’m a Celebrity is helping her process the past.

“For me, it’s just using the people around me to continue to open up about it and face those difficulties, and stop giving it so much power,” she said.

“The more I take it off my chest and take it off my heart, the more I can try and move forward with my life and not feel this huge aspect of my life pulling me back.”

Well, if stepping into the I’m a Celebrity jungle wasn’t brave enough, Shayna’s courage to share her story is truly inspiring. It just shows the strength it takes to confront adversity and reclaim your narrative. Go Shayna!
