Tools up! Big drama kicked off on Wednesday night’s The Block, this time between two of the show’s strongest houses.
It all began when a bunch of the teams — including Lisa and Rosco — expressed at family dinner that they didn’t believe Courtney and Sev deserved their winning scores of two 10s, information that later got back to the women via Chantel.
The next morning at McCafe, Courtney and Sev confronted the group, with a particularly awkward conversation unfolding between Sev and Lisa, where Sev said Lisa was being ‘passive-aggressive’ because she said the besties were rarely at family dinner.
“I had a bit of an encounter with Sev,” Lisa reflected in her confessional. “I found her a little abrasive.”
The convo ended abruptly, leaving awkward tension between the teams. “I want to get to the bottom of this drama with Lisa and Rosco… we were really great not long ago,” Courtney reflected.
In another conversation, Sev and Lisa unpacked their feud, as Lisa said that their comments at the dinner table ‘were not personal’ and they eventually hugged it out.
The tension between the teams follows Lisa referring to the women as “smug” in a Chattr interview, as Courtney and Sev have both agreed they weren’t close to Lisa on the show. But what about Rosco in the middle? Funnily enough, the Brisbane besties revealed to Chattr a secret friendship that barely made it to air.
Courtney and Sev reveal secret friendship on The Block
In an exclusive interview with Chattr, Courtney admitted that while there was no love lost between herself and Lisa, there was nothing but love between her and good buddy, Rosco.
“Ross and I were best friends on the show. We were inseparable. We always helped each other out. We always went to each other for a laugh,” Courtney said. “Lisa and I were never close during the show. We still aren’t now. But credit to her, she’s never come between Ross and my friendship.”
Sev spoke more about their cute friendship, which she was surprised hasn’t been shown much in the episodes. “They’d say a lot of inappropriate jokes. I can attest to their friendship. Rosco and Courtney just had such a beautiful friendship,” she said.
“Maybe it’ll come through in the coming weeks. But there’s definitely an amazing bond that those guys have.”
Courtney agreed that she wished this ‘secret’ friendship had been shown more on The Block. “I do sort of wish it [The Block] would show more because it really does show our personalities. We all always helped each other out,” Courtney said. “We would phone each other. We were always helping each other — we really were such close mates.”
