Fresh-faced Farmer Zac brought the cutesy vibes to this year’s Farmer Wants A Wife (FWAW), but his wholesome love story came with a side of big drama.
The 24-year-old apple farmer from Forest Range in South Australia’s Adelaide Hills entered FWAW hoping to meet someone who could embrace country life and become part of his tight-knit rural community.
After the speed dates, Zac invited Grace, Miranda, Mieke, Maya and Jessica back to his farm. Grace quickly emerged as a frontrunner after sharing the first 24-hour date and a kiss with him, while Zac’s sweet connection with Maya continued to deepen. Meanwhile, Mieke became a dark horse, although she grew frustrated that she had to wait until the season’s end for some one-on-one time.
In a heartwarming finale, Zac picked Maya over Mieke as his winner — and the young sweethearts are still going strong.
The couple walked the red carpet hand-in-hand at the TV Week Logie Awards. They answered a few questions, assuring fans their relationship has only solidified since the show.
“I’ve learned and loved that Zac is 100 percent just his goofy self,” Maya shared. “I can be exactly myself around him and he can be exactly himself around me.”
Zac went on to boast how Maya “gets along with all my mates”, as the two lovebirds have seamlessly fitted into each other’s lives post-FWAW.
On the red carpet, the couple addressed a rumour that they’re pregnant. “I am not pregnant,” Maya told New Idea. “I made a silly joke, I quoted Kylie Jenner and I was like, ‘19 weeks today’, and people took it quite literally. Fair enough. But we are not with child.”
Zac added “not yet,” before Maya clarified that “it’s something on the cards, but not now.” Zac said that the couple will wait until they’re in their thirties to start a family.
That said, Maya’s choice of a sparkingly white gown reminiscent of a wedding dress for the ceremony did raise some eyebrows. Here comes the bride?! “Farmer Zac has found a Wifey,” read one comment. FWAW fans will have to stay tuned to find out what’s next for the wholesome couple.

Yes! The couple has confirmed at the FWAW Reunion and on social media that they’re still going strong. They’ve both shared on Instagram what life has looked like for the couple recently.
In an interview with New Idea, Maya admitted that “long-distance is definitely not easy”, but said they FaceTime almost every day and make an effort to see each other whenever possible.
The young couple shared that they were planning a holiday together and potentially living together within the next year.
An insider previously told Chattr that the couple got the happy ending fans have been hoping for.
“Nearly all of the Farmers have split up with their final picks since filming wrapped, the only couple that are still together to this day are Maya and Farmer Zac,” they told Chattr in an exclusive interview.
“They’ve been thriving since filming [ended],” the insider added. “No one is surprised that they’re still together because they seem really happy.”
Their chat on the Farmer Wants A Wife reunion only backed up what our insider revealed. In one moment, host Natalie Gruzlewski asks Zac and Maya whether “wedding bells” are “on the horizon”, prompting Maya to turn to Zac and say, “I might let you answer that.”
Add to this, social media clues suggested their relationship continued after filming.
The strongest hint emerged after Zac chose Maya in the finale. On the night, Zac’s twin sister Isobel reportedly uploaded a photograph of herself with Maya and captioned it: “Chose a good one.” The image was deleted soon afterwards, potentially because it revealed too much before the reunion. The post proves Maya remained close to Zac’s family after the cameras stopped rolling.
Chattr previously reported that Maya follows several members of Zac’s family on Instagram. She follows multiple accounts sharing the Kuiper surname and she is the only woman from Zac’s farm to follow his relatives. Zac’s sisters, Isobel and Lara Kuiper, also follow Maya back, suggesting she has stayed connected with the family beyond the show.
Maya was seen liking Zac’s Instagram posts before the season began airing, which convinced many fans that Zac and Maya were still together.

Farmer Zac’s journey on Farmer Wants A Wife ended with him choosing Maya over Mieke.
