Farmer Zac Kuiper is one of the youngest farmers on Farmer Wants a Wife Australia (FWAW).
Introduced as a 24-year-old apple farmer from Forest Range, South Australia, Farmer Zac is an energetic, sporty and proudly family-oriented bachelor who has proved to be the season’s biggest sweetie.
Zac is big on AFL, having played with the same club since he was six, and his bio paints him as a somebody who loves bringing people together for family meals, social events and a good laugh. He is also apparently a baking whiz, with crème brûlée and chocolate brownies in rotation, which is frankly excellent husband propaganda.
Zac “prides himself on being open and honest” and “doesn’t take life too seriously.”
Zac’s ideal partner is someone with their own big dreams. “Zac is looking for someone who is driven to achieve their own goals but also willing to support him.”
His love language is physical touch, plus communication is important to him, and that he’s “all about making an effort, being consistent and spending quality time together.”
Who does FWAW Farmer Zac pick as his winner?
Farmer Zac delivered his verdict at a heartfelt Final Choice Ceremony, naming Maya the winner. Before he announced that, he first broke the sad news to Mieke, telling the runner-up that he couldn’t envision a future with her.
“As hard as it is to say, it’s something I can’t see with you,” a choked-up Zac said. Also holding back tears, Mieke said she was “definitely a little heartbroken” by the “horrible feeling” of being rejected.
“I won’t let it stop me,” she vowed.
Things were a little cheerier when Maya made her way to the Final Choice Ceremony. “You’ve been an aboslute bundle of joy,” Farmer Zac told his soon-to-be winner.
“I am absolutely falling for you, and I can’t wait to be on this journey with you,” he added, before planting a big smooch on Maya’s face. “I feel over the moon,” Maya said. “I’m falling in love with him.”
Are FWAW’s Farmer Zac and Maya still together now?
A few clues seem to suggest that Farmer Zac and Maya are still together after their time on FWAW (more on that below). Maya was always the frontrunner in the race for Zac’s heart, and fans were just as keen for the love story as the couple themselves.
We’ll have to wait and see whether Farmer Zac and Maya have survived their post-show experience when the FWAW 2026 Reunion episode airs on Sunday, August 2. But in the meantime, read on for the clues that might already tell us the outcome.
During a recent interview with Chattr, eliminated contestant Grace dropped a huge clue that seemed to hint at what we eventually saw in the finale.
She made it clear that she didn’t think Farmer Zac had a strong spark with Mieke, and believed his connection with Maya was much stronger in person.
“I think he had one really strong connection in particular that night. So I think he was really safe in that one,” she said, potentially referring to Maya at the black-tie dinner.
On top of that, there is a rather big clue on Instagram that suggests Maya and Farmer Zac are still going strong. Why? A bunch of people that Zac follows who share his surname are being followed by Maya, too. In fact, she’s the only lady from Zac’s farm who is following his family.
Isobel and Lara Kuiper both follow Maya back on Instagram. The social media activity could signal that Maya has won over Farmer Zac’s family outside of the show, making the odds of them still being together at the Reunion all the more likely.
Add to this theory: back on Instagram before FWAW began airing, Maya liked Zac’s posts. This detail could suggest that she remained on good terms with him during and after filming, again suggesting they’ve remained loved up beyond the show and are still going strong.
Case closed? Not quite. We will have to stay tuned for the FWAW Reunion to know for sure whether Farmer Zac and Maya have actually survived the whirlwind that is a reality TV dating show.
