“So kind”: How Thorpey tried to help Stephanie & Havana on The Amazing Race

Havana Brown and Stephanie Wood were in the lead on leg six of The Amazing Race 2024 until they reached the Road Block challenge, which required them to find 28 teeth buried within a square of dirt.

While some of the remaining The Amazing Race cast sailed through the challenge, Stephanie struggled to find the last few teeth, which saw them drop into last place and be eliminated from the competition.

However, during an exclusive interview with Chattr, Havana and Stephanie shared just how well their particular teeth were buried.

“I feel like the other teams that were finding it really easy, [the teeth] were just floating towards the top,” Havana said. “I saw Stephanie work so hard to dig out our entire hole.”

“She went through all the different parts of the dirt multiple times. So, it was just strange that we weren’t able to find that too. Very unlucky.”

Havana revealed that their competitors, Ian Thorpe and Christian Miranda, risked their own spot in the game by helping the women look for the missing teeth.

“You didn’t see this on the screen, but Thorpey and Christian, before they left, they spent a good 10-15 minutes helping Stephanie try to find the tooth, and they couldn’t find it.”

“It was so kind of them,” Stephanie added.

Havana Brown and Stephanie Wood reveal how close The Amazing Race cast were

Havana revealed that she and Stephanie built a very close relationship with both Christian and Ian and Matilda’s players Chloe Logarzo and Emily Gielnik.

“Chloe came out and played soccer with my daughter recently,” Stephanie said. “She hosted a little soccer clinic for my daughter and her friends.”

“The Tillies [Matildas] we regularly with and keep in contact with. We’re trying to organise a time for them to come to one of my shows so we can all catch up,” Havana added.

The Australia DJ said that the cast has a WhatsApp group where they discuss the episodes together and added that she’s recently spent time with Ian.

“I think we’ve made some lifelong friends out of it, which is really great. It’s such a cool crew of cast,” she said.

“Everyone got along very well. There were so many comedians. I mean, Adam [Eckersley] and Brooke [McClymont] and Peter and Bridge [Helliar] are so funny, especially when you’re exhausted; they definitely kept the vibe high.”

With so many new friends left in the game, who are Havana and Stephanie hoping will win The Amazing Race Australia 2024?

“To be honest, I want everyone to win. But obviously, they can’t, so I’d like the Matilda’s girls to win — for girl power,” Havana said.

Considering Chloe and Emily have a few race wins under their belt already, an overall win could very well be on the cards for them!

The Amazing Race Australia 2024 airs on Mondays and Tuesdays at 7:30pm on Channel Ten and 10Play.

Where is Tony Armstrong going after ABC News Breakfast?

Popular presenter, Gold Logie nominee and ex-AFL star Tony Armstrong announced his retirement from ABC News Breakfast today — a gig he’s been doing since 2021. Now, the question on everyone’s lips is: what will Tony do now? What’s next for his career?

The 34-year-old thanked the team during his announcement on air this morning, adding that his last day on the show would be October 4th, 2024.

“I just want to thank Brekky and the broader ABC News team for welcoming me in with open arms and helping me grow over the past few years,” he said.

“Feels like I’ve been on a bit of a rocket ship.”

“I’m going to miss the couch. Not the alarm, but I’ll miss the couch. And, yeah, I’ve had such a ball. I’m going to miss everyone but, um, yeah. You’ll still see me around.”

Tony Armstrong’s colleagues reflect on his resignation

Co-hosts Michael Rowland and Bridget Brennan took a moment to reflect on their time together, with Bridget saying that the team was “going to miss his infectious and caring nature”.

“I know it’s meant so much to me and to thousands upon thousands of First Nations viewers waking up to see Tony representing us on the daily,” she added.

“He is an engaging colleague and a good friend. In fact, there’s no one I would rather sit through an earthquake with,” Michael said.

“We did. Google it.”

What is Tony Armstrong doing now?

Tony will remain on the ABC network to host a yet-to-be-announced series airing in 2025.

“You’ll still see me around,” Tony assured viewers in his TV announcement this morning.

“Looking forward to whatever comes next,” he also teased is his resignation announcement on Instagram.

That’s all we know about his plans for now, but we’ll update this article with more information as it becomes available.

Who is Tony Armstrong?

A proud Gamilaroi man, Tony made his mark in the AFL, playing for three clubs over his eight-year career.

From 2008 to 2011 he played for Adelaide, from 2012 to 2013 he played for the Sydney Swans, and from 2014 to 2015 he played for Collingwood.

Tony first hit our screens as a presenter in 2020, hosting the Yokayi Footy show on the NITV network.

Later that year, he filled in as a sports reporter at the ABC, earning himself a permanent gig as the sports presenter in 2021, taking over from Paul Kennedy.

Tony also hosted the ABC three-part series, A Dog’s World, and often appears as a guest on Network Ten’s The Project and Fox Footy.

Tony has been with his current partner, Rona Glynn-McDonald, since 2023. Rona is a producer, DJ, CEO of the First Nations not-for-profit, Common Ground, and co-founder of First Nations Futures.

All the best to Tony, a true legend that’ll no doubt charm us with whatever he does next.

F-Bye! Everyone who has left FBoy Island Australia 2024 so far

FBoy Island Australia’s Krystal Thomas, Ally Woodfall and Nicole Mitrov have been busy weeding out the FBoys, hoping they’ll be left with just Nice Guys at the end.

If the trio of ladies choose an FBoy at the finale, he’ll receive the power and can take home $50,000 in prize money or split it with the woman who chose him.

Meanwhile, if Krystal, Ally and Nicole pick Nice Guys, they’ll automatically receive $50,000 each to share with their new partner, who they can gallop off into the sunset with.

However, some of the FBoy Island Australia men are seriously crafty and have been doing a damn good job of acting as though they’re on the show for love when the reality is quite different.

The FBoys the ladies manage to identify and eliminate are sent packing for Limbro, a magical camp where naughty FBOYs are sent to repent.

Who has left FBoy Island Australia 2024 so far?

Frank

Frank. Binge.

Krystal sent Frank home after deciding to take Doug and Paddy to the final. He revealed that he was an FBoy.

Nugget

Nugget told Ally he was leaving because he’d been put up for elimination five times in total.

“Every single time, I’ve felt like I’ve had to fight and fight, and I’m, quite frankly, tired,” he said.

After quitting the show, he revealed that he was a Nice Guy.

Sean

Nicole decided to take Nathan Giastis to the finale despite discovering that he was gay weeks earlier. Since the revelation, Nicole has kept him in the game as her spy.

She chose Jack to join Nathan at the final, meaning Sean was sent home. After the decision, he told Nicole that he was a Nice Guy.

Tim

Tim. Image: Binge.

Nicole sent Tim packing during Episode 6 after discovering he had a child at home that he hadn’t told her about. After she’d eliminated him, he revealed that he was a Nice Guy.

Wes

Wes. Image: Binge.

Wes came for Ally after she eliminated him during Episode 6, saying he felt that her eyes were firmly fixed on Joe and she never gave any of the other contestants a chance.

“Ally, from the start, I feel like you’ve had the eyes for Joe, and your eyes have never swayed left or right,” he told her. “There’s been seven dates, and I’ve been on none. I don’t feel like I’ve ever had your time. I don’t want to feel like a fourth or fifth option, and that’s the honest truth, Ally.”

On his way out, he revealed he was a Nice Guy and told Ally,  “I hope you do get an FBoy in the end, and I do hope he does take the 50K.” Oooft.

Jerome

Krystal sent home fan-favourite Jerome in Episode 6, who shockingly revealed himself to be an FBoy.

Godwill

Nice guy Godwill was sent packing by Krystal during Episode 5.

Aaron

Ally sent Aaron sent home, and he unsurprisingly revealed himself to be a Nice Guy during Episode 5.

Minjarrah

Minjarrah decided to hand signal a crown and call himself “king of the FBoys” after Nicole told him he was eliminated during Episode 5.

Joey

Dart left FBoy Island in Episode 4. Image: Binge.

Joey was eliminated by Ally during Episode 4 of FBoy Island Season 2. He tried to save himself by claiming he didn’t know how to kiss because he was a virgin (he wasn’t).

Norman

FBoy Norman was eliminated by Krystal during Episode 4.

Lewis

Lewis left fboy island
Lewis. Image: Binge.

Lewis admitted he was a self-proclaimed “reformed FBoy” when Nicole eliminated him during Episode 4.

Vincent

Vincent left fboy island
Vincent. Image: Binge.

Vincent pulled the same pickup line on all three ladies, which Ally… picked up on. She sent him packing during Episode 2, and he unsurprisingly revealed himself to be an FBoy.

Eddy

Eddy. Image: Binge.

Eddy was sent to Limbro during Episode 2 after Krystal called him out for not making an effort with the girls.

Dart

Dart
Dart left FBoy Island in episode 2. Image: Binge.

Nice Guy Dart was put up for elimination during Episode 2 by Nicole. Rather than begging for her to let him stay, Dart whipped out a cello and played her a song… but was sent home anyway.

Mitch

Mitch left FBoy Island in Episode 1. Image: Binge.

Mitch was eliminated by Ally during Episode 1. Unfortunately for her, he was revealed to be a Nice Guy.

Jin

Jin left FBoy Island in Episode 1. Image: Binge.

Nicole sent home Jin in Episode 1, who revealed himself to be an FBoy.

Jake

Jake left FBoy Island in episode 1. Image: Binge.

The third time wasn’t a charm for Jake, who’s been on Ex and The Beach UK and The Amazing Race. He self-eliminated before he even had a chance to tell the girls whether he was an FBoy or Nice Guy.

FBoy Island Australia Season 2 streams Mondays on BINGE.

Everything you need to know about MKR 2024

My Kitchen Rules (MKR) has returned in 2024 with some of the country’s best home cooks battling it out to be crowned the winners.

Judges Manu Feildel and Colin Fassnidge have returned for MKR season 14, and they’re touring around the country with the contestants for the Instant Kitchen segment.

Round one involves six teams of contestants who each set up restaurants at their homes and cook for the judges and their fellow competitors.

Here’s everything we know about MKR 2024.

When does MKR 2024 air?

MKR 2024 kicked off on September 9 at 7:30pm on 7Plus and Channel 7.

Is there a MKR 2024 trailer?

There is! Watch it below.

Who is in the lead on MKR 2024?

At the time of writing, Rob and Liam are currently at the top of the MKR leaderboard with 84 points.

Every team aside from Mike and Rob have cooked in round one, and the pals’ Instant Kitchen episode is scheduled to air on September 24.

The 2024 MKR cast

There are six teams of OG cast members on MKR 2024. You can find out more about each team of MKR 2024 contestants here and watch their promo videos below.

Rob and Liam

Rob and Liam might be brothers, but that doesn’t mean they won’t be cutthroat with each other.

“We are the most competitive brothers in Australia,” Rob said in a promo video.

The siblings—who are only 18 months apart—learnt to cook from their mother, whom they called “an absolute weapon in the kitchen” in a press release.

Mike and Pete

West Australian friends Mike and Pete can dish out the criticism, but can they take it?

In the MKR promo video, the pals repeatedly chirp about how easy their co-stars’ dishes are to make but face some trouble when it’s their turn to hit the kitchen.

According to their Channel 7 bio, the pair will add spice to the conversation and ruffle feathers at the table.

“There’s no controlling Mike’s mouth,” Pete said in an MKR press release.

Hannah and Lawrence

WA couple Hannah and Lawrence have been dubbed the “sweethearts” of the season. According to his Channel 7 bio, Lawrence will propose to Hannah if they win the season… Which makes us concerned about what will happen if they don’t win.

“If we win MKR, I’m dropping on one knee; that’s non-negotiable,” he said.

In the couple’s promo video, Hannah declares that she and Lawrence have “never argued”right before they appear to kick off a fight.

Good luck to them!

Danny and Sonia

If you thought Jac and Shaz from MKR Season 6 were true blue Aussies, wait until you meet MKR 2024‘s Danny and Sonia.

The brother-and-sister team from far North Queensland put the Aussie in Aussie cuisine. According to their Channel 7 bio, the siblings were raised to hunt, fish and cook.

”We didn’t have a lot growing up, but we did have love, and we did have food,” Sonia said in her bio.

Danny said he’s ready to “show some of my cooking skills to Australia, meet new people and just have a good time.”

Simone and Viviana

Could the first announced team, Simone and Viviana, be the most impressive pair of cooks this season? The Italian-born friends plan on showing Australia their “style, class and modern Italian with a twist,” according to an MKR trailer.

Simone and Vivian on MKR and my Kitchen rules 2024

The Italian besties may be Queensland-based, but they’ll be bringing their home country’s flair to MKR 2024.

Simone is a self-proclaimed adventurous cook who innovates classic recipes and dishes.

Viviana recalls that the first dish she ever prepared was gnocchi alla romana, which she made with her grandma.

In a sweet moment in the MKR 2024 trailer, Simone gets emotional when she tearfully serves up what she thinks is a sub-par dish to judges Colin and Manu.

However, the infamous harsh judge Colin eases her doubts when he shows her his plate, which has been licked all but clean.

“This says it all,” he told the pair.

“Seeing your plate so clean is just an honour, so thank you,” she replied.

Ash and Cassie

Ash and Cassie are young mums and dieticians who want to share their cooking skills with Australia.

“I believe I have what it takes to win with Ash by my side while utilising healthier alternatives. I want to show Australia that tasty meals can also be healthy,” Cassie said in an MKR press release.

Who are the MKR 2024 judges?

Colin and Manu are returning as the judges of the Instant Kitchen rounds. Woohoo!

The two celebrity chefs were judges on MKR 2023‘s Instant Kitchen rounds and were joined by judge Nigella Lawson afterwards at Kitchen HQ. Whether Nigella will be returning for 2024? We’ll have to wait and see!

Watch MKR 2024 premieres on Mondays and Tuesdays at 7:30pm on Channel 7 and 7Plus.

The Block 2024 week five room kitchen reveals: Kylie’s gnome drama was reignited

It’s The Block 2024’s kitchen room reveals for week five, and the Blockheads’ finished spaces were nothing short of stunning.

As the judges noted, each of The Block contestants’ rooms had its own personality. While they were impressed with Maddy and Charlotte, Courtney and Grant, Ricky and Haydn, Brad and Kylie and Mimi and Kristian’s room, as always, they had some negative pointers.

The final scores were so close that there was only half a point difference between the highest scorers—Maddy and Charlotte and Kylie and Brad—before Shaynna Blaze’s scores were shown.

Despite Kylie’s insistence that she didn’t want to play their secret gnome—which gives the team a bonus point—this week, Brad played it anyway and secured their team’s win.

Check out each of the room reveals – as well as the The Block judges’ scores – below.

The Block Week 5 Room Reveals

Cash spent: $15,253

Scores:

  • Darren: 10
  • Marty: 9.5
  • Shayna: 9.5

Total: 29

The judges said that Maddy and Charlotte had created the perfect Holiday House kitchen, and Shaynna even said they “hit it out of the park”.

Jesse and Paige ordered most of the kitchen goods in week one, and the sisters were grateful for the “teamwork.”

The Block’s Courtney and Grant

Week 6 – Kitchen room reveal

Cash spent: $13,402

Scores:

  • Darren: 9.5
  • Marty: 8.5
  • Shayna: 9

Total: 27

Darren Palmer called the kitchen “stimulating”, while Shaynna added that it feels “warm and inviting”. All three judges loved the Cosentino stone.

Meanwhile, Marty Fox said the room was “too full on” and that he doesn’t think it matches the level of sophistication he’s seen in Courtney and Grant’s other rooms.

The Block’s Ricky and Haydn

Cash spent: $16,869

Scores:

  • Darren: 8
  • Marty: 7.5
  • Shayna: 7.5

Total: 23

Haydn said their kitchen was “hands down” the best room they’d delivered. Shaynna loved some of their finer details, including the brass strip on the benchtop.

All three judges were impressed with the men’s work; however, they didn’t think the kitchen was functional.

The Block’s Kylie and Brad – winners

Cash spent: $12,030

Scores:

  • Darren: 9.5
  • Marty: 9.5
  • Shayna: 9.5

Total: 28.5 (+1 for the secret gnome)

Darren called Kylie and Brad’s black kitchen “sexy”, and Darren said it looked “expensive”.

However, Shaynna Darren questioned if there was enough space and storage for a family on holiday, and they were delighted when they found the spinning cupboards.

The Block’s Kristian and Mimi

Week 6 – Kitchen room reveal

Cash spent: $20,814

Scores:

  • Darren: 9.5
  • Marty: 8
  • Shayna: 9

Total: 26.5

When she walked in, Shaynna said the room was “stunning,” and Marty commented on how warm it was. Darren succinctly described Mimi and Kristian’s kitchen as “yum, yum, yum.”

On the downside, Marty called the green stove “polarising” for buyers and said it was a risk they “necessarily shouldn’t have taken.”

The Block airs on Sunday at 7:00pm and continues Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

Love Island’s Mitch Eliot calls out hateful comments over Phoebe Spiller split

Love Island’s Mitch Eliot has publicly asked online trolls to stop making hateful comments about his breakup with Phoebe Spiller.

Mitch and Phoebe split in July 2024 after two years together. They both posted breakup announcements on Instagram at the time, but it wasn’t clear who had ended their relationship.

Since the breakup, Phoebe has taken to social media to post videos of her struggling with the split, including one TikTok video that racked up 1.8 million views.

“Trying to get up and live your life but battling with the confusion because you thought he was the one you’d marry,” she captioned a clip of her crying.

@phoebespiller

Reminder that progress isn’t linear and there will be good, great, bad and awful days. For anyone going through something similar – this fkn sucks. But we got this.. ❤️‍🩹

♬ original sound – Feelz

One day after Phoebe shared the video, Mitch took to his own Instagram account to point out the cruel Instagram comments he’s been receiving.

“After a few recent TikTok’s that have been made. I’ve been flooded with hate comments and DMS. I MEAN FLOODED. This amount of hate under any circumstance is not okay,” he began.

“All because I chose to do the right thing and end a relationship that was obviously not working.
I’ve just been deleting all your comments and messages, so no point trying anymore.”

Mitch encouraged Phoebe’s fans to support her on her Instagram rather than attack him on his page.

“I don’t understand the logic. What did you guys want me to do in this situation? Stay in a relationship that was making us both unhappy?” Mitch said, insinuating that he was the one who broke up with Phoebe.

“You guys are acting like I cheated on the girl, which is far from the truth. The only people who truly know what happened is Phoebe and I so please stop acting like you know.”

Mitch finished the text post by reminding people to be kind online.

“You’re all advocates for mental health until you’re hiding behind your keyboards. I lost a lot from this breakup too, I’m just not posting about it. Remember to be kind. We are all just trying to exist in this world.”

Mitch was spotted with a mystery blonde woman

Phoebe is currently in America on holiday with some friends. Meanwhile, Mitch was spotted in Sydney with another woman.

“Mitch was walking along the Bondi beach promenade with a blonde woman on September 18,” a source told Chattr exclusively.

“It didn’t seem romantic, from what I could tell. He seemed a bit down, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it was a friend he’s leaning on during this time.”

Breakups are rough; let’s all play nice!

Casting has opened for The Voice Australia 2025 — here’s how to apply

Are you an aspiring singer with dreams of turning chairs and making it big in the music industry? Good news! Applications for The Voice Australia 2025 have officially opened, giving you the chance to showcase your talent on one of the country’s biggest stages.

Here’s everything you need to know about the application process, what to expect, and when to get your audition tapes in.

Could you be the next to impress the coaches?

How to apply for The Voice Australia 2025

If you’re ready to apply for The Voice Australia 2025, the application process is pretty straightforward, but it does require a bit of preparation. Here’s what you need to do:

Fill out the online application

Pop on over to the official website for The Voice Australia casting. Fill out your personal details, a bit of information about you, and a link to your socials and music. You’ll want to convince them you’re the next big star, so make sure you take your time filling everything out for The Voice 2025 application.

Record an audition video

You’ll need to upload a video of yourself performing. It could be an original song or a funky new cover, but all you want is for it to show your talent and musical abilities. Try to squeeze a bit of your personal style in there.

Submit and hope for the best

Once you’ve given it your all, submit the form and video for The Voice 2025 application and wait to see if you’ll get a call. If you’re selected, you’ll move on to the next stage, which might be an in-person audition or more virtual tryouts.

What’s the application process like for The Voice Australia?

Once you’ve applied (and hopefully shortlisted), you can expect a few steps before you hit that stage.

The first is the initial screening, where producers will review your application and audition video. If they think you’ve got what it takes, they’ll contact you for further rounds.

If you’re successful, the next stage might include callbacks and extra auditions – either in-person or virtually.

If you’re lucky enough to make it through the audition process, you could see yourself in The Blind Auditions, where you famously sing in front of the big chairs, hoping that one of the coaches will smash that red button and turn their chair.

LeAnn Rimes reveals if she wants to return as a The Voice Australia coach

LeAnn Rimes has slammed rumours that she “struggled to find her groove” on The Voice Australia 2024 and has revealed whether she’d be down to return for another season.

The Can’t Fight The Moonlight singer took to her Instagram for an Q&A session, and was asked by a follower whether she would consider returning to the popular singing show.

“I’ve had the best time on both shows,” LeAnn began. “I would love to come back. I think it’d be really fun. So hopefully that will happen.”

The Voice Australia coach went on to touch on reports that claimed she wouldn’t be returning.

“I find it funny. I can actually speak on this here for a second. I’ve seen a couple of stupid articles – the press is so weird sometimes – about how I didn’t find my groove on there,” she said.

“It’s like a one time thing that’s completely not true, and I found my groove just right.”

LeAnn made it clear that she’d love to return for another season of The Voice Australia.

“I had a great time, and I would love to come back. I love Australia,” she said. “It was an amazing experience. So hopefully I’ll see you soon.”

LeAnn revealed her who favourite audition was on The Voice Australia 2024

During the Q&A sesh, another follower asked LeAnn who her favourite audition on The Voice Australia 2024 was.

“In Australia, sweet Cookie [Robinson] singing my song and getting up to sing with her was just a beautiful moment,” she answered.

Cookie sang Can’t Fight The Moonlight by LeAnn and joined the aspiring singer on stage for a duet.

“And, then also Reuben De Melo,” she continued. “Who is just an incredible vocalist and so authentic and real. I think that’s probably one of the best auditions that we’ve seen on the show.”

Reuben spun all four chairs, and his performance ignited a battle between the coaches to secure him on one of The Voice teams.

Will either of LeAnn’s singers be added to The Voice Australia winners list? We can’t wait to find out!

The Voice Australia airs on Sundays at 7pm on Channel 7 and 7Plus.

Twitter is pissed about how The Block builder Zac quit Maddy and Charlotte’s house

The Block 2024 builder Zac walked out on Maddy and Charlotte’s house and announced that he had quit after a heated conversation with the women, and Twitter had some thoughts about it.

The sisters joined the renovation show in week five after Jesse and Paige quit. During the week that Zac worked with Maddy and Charlotte, the three of them had several tense interactions, leading to a confrontation during the September 17 episode.

One of the situations that rubbed Zac the wrong way the most was hearing that Maddy and Charlotte said his approach was “intimidating.”

Zac was offended by the word intimidating and confronted Maddy and Charlotte about it. When they explained that they wanted to work as a team, Zac was stuck on the fact that they’d called him intimidating and said he was sorry that they couldn’t handle how he talked.

“That’s not an apology,” Charlotte responded, saying that she felt Zac was “talking down” to her.

“Alright, I think this is a made decision,” Zac responded.

“I think we’re going to be out. We’re no longer going to work here with you guys. This team dynamic isn’t going to work. Sorry guys,” he added.

“I think being kind goes a long way,” Maddy tearfully said in a producer-led interview after Zac left.

After Zac and his team dipped out, Maddy and Charlotte had the genius idea of asking former Blockhead Kyal, who was on site for a challenge as one of The Block All Stars, to be their builder.

Although Kyal’s still deciding whether to say yes to the women’s offer, Maddy and Charlotte’s fellow cast mates were rattled when they heard that he may step in.

Many viewers were left far from impressed as they watched the way that Zac reacted to the girls’ conversation and the fact that he decided to quit The Block. Check out some of their reactions below.

Twitter reactions to Zac’s decision to quit The Block 2024

We can’t wait to find out if fan-favourite Kyal will take Zac’s place.

The Block airs on Sundays at 7pm and Mon – Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.

The Amazing Race Australia’s Jett and Lily on what the cast do when they’re not filming

Jett Kenny and Lily Brown were eliminated after a nail-biting finale during the Johannesburg leg of The Amazing Race Australia 2024.

Fortunately for them, their elimination took place right before a non-filming day, so they got to hang out with the rest of The Amazing Race cast before they headed back to Australia.

During an exclusive interview with Chattr, Jett and Lily shared how close all of the celebrities became.

“We really just had such a great time,” Lily said. “And, I think that’s why we were so upset to be eliminated, because we’ve got so many great friends, like with all the other teams, and we really did become like family.”

What do The Amazing Race Australia 2024 cast do when they’re not filming?

Lily spilled what the teams got up to when they weren’t racing around the world taking part in outlandish challenges as part of The Amazing Race Australia 2024.

“We were lucky; we had a day off the day after we got eliminated, so we actually had a chance to say goodbye to everyone and spend the next day hanging out with everyone in Johannesburg,” she said.

“That was great because we actually got to say goodbye. Some of the other teams that were eliminated before us didn’t get that opportunity. So we were grateful to have that.”

Cryell and Eden, Natalie and Melinda and Luke and Julie were all eliminated from The Amazing Race 2024 prior to Lily and Jett.

Lily said that because their day off happened to fall when they were in Johannesburg – which historically has a high crime rate – there were some rules around what the contestants were allowed to do on their day off.

“Everyone had security, so we weren’t allowed to leave the hotel without permission and without security, but we all stayed together,” she said.

“We ended up going to a big shopping mall, and some people went and got breakfast, and because we weren’t filming the next day, we had a few drinks. So that was that was cool, just to blow off a bit of steam.”

Jett and Lily reveal how important their chosen charity endED is to them

After Jett and Lily arrived at The Amazing Race finish line and discovered they were eliminated, Jett opened up about the importance of the charity endED, which supports people battling eating disorders. His sister Jaimi Kenny sadly died in 2020 at the age of 33 after battling a long-term eating disorder.

“EndEd is very close to my heart. My sister battled with an eating disorder for almost 18 years,” he told the host, Beau Ryan. “I think with us talking about it and raising awareness, it can help people who are going through the same thing.”

Jett told Chattr that even though they weren’t able to win The Amazing Race prize money for endED, he’s happy that they were able to spread the word about the charity.

“It was an opportunity to raise awareness and bring more eyes and ears to the charity. Obviously, it is something that is very close to my family, and now Lily’s as well,” he said.

“So, it’s not only the opportunities that Lily and I got with the race itself, but it’s also the bigger picture of spreading the word and starting the conversation.”

Lily added that she and Jett have received countless messages about the charity shortly after their elimination episode aired.

“We’ve already had people message us overnight saying thank you for raising awareness, you’ve saved my daughter’s life, or my son’s life,” she said.

You can find out more about endED and donate to the charity here.

The Amazing Race Australia 2024 airs on Mondays and Tuesdays at 7:30pm on Channel Ten and 10Play.

Cyrell and Eden reveal who the “dark horse” is on The Amazing Race 2024

The Amazing Race Australia 2024 has seen Chloe Logarzo and Emily Gielnik from The Matilda’s consistently lead the pack. However, eliminated couple Cyrell Paule and Eden Dally have revealed that there’s a different “dark horse” team to watch out for.

During a post-elimination interview with Chattr, Eden and Cyrell said that they believe Brooke McClymont and Adam Eckersley are in with a chance to win the entire show.

“The dark horses are Brooke and Adam, the blue team,” Eden said. “They came to the mud challenge 20 minutes after us, and they still beat us.”

“Brooke and Adam are one of the teams we underestimated, but I’m telling you, they are a force to be reckoned with. They’re the best,” Cyrell added.

“We definitely underestimated our opponents,” the former MAFS star continued. “Well, some we thought would be tough competition, but others we thought we had it in the bag, and we clearly didn’t!

“That’s why you don’t underestimate anyone, and you don’t judge a book by its cover.”

Eden and Erin on The Amazing Race

Eden and Cyrell loved showing a different side to their relationship

Eden and Cyrell are both very well-known reality stars. Eden was in Love Island Australia Season 1 and has competed on SAS Australia, while Cyrell was on MAFS Season 6 and The Challenge: Australia.

One of Cyrell’s most memorable TV moments was when her MAFS co-star Martha Kalifatidis threw a glass of red wine all over her during a particularly dramatic Dinner Party. In that same season, she earned the nickname Cyclone Cyrell.

Cyrell and Eden began dating shortly after her season of MAFS had finished airing, and five months later, they announced that they were having a baby.

The couple split up while Cyrell was pregnant but got back together before their son Boston, now 2, was born.

After going through so much together in the public eye, Cyrell and Eden said it was nice to appear on a reality show where viewers could see their softer side.

“I think everyone has this perception of us, and they associate Cyrell with drama [from past TV shows], so it was nice to show another side of our relationship.”

As Eden and Cyrell ran towards The Amazing Race finish line, they knew they were in last place, but they held hands and ran towards the mat with big smiles on their faces anyway.

“We were just happy to get to that finish line,” Cyrell reflected. “People have this idea about us, that we’re firecrackers or hot heated, which we can be, but at the end of the day, we have a positive relationship.”

The Amazing Race Australia 2024 airs on Mondays and Tuesdays at 7:30pm on Channel Ten and 10Play.

The OG Big Brother is returning with live evictions and 24-hour live streaming

Big Brother Australia is returning for 2025! Before you roll your eyes, it’s going to be closer to the Channel 10 original than… whatever it was Channel 7 was trying to achieve these last few years.

As announced at Paramount’s 2025 Upfronts presentation, Big Brother Australia 2025 will have live nominations and live evictions just like its glory days — and it will even have 24-hour live streaming. This is the best news we’ve heard all day!

Big Brother is returning to Network 10 in 2025.
Big Brother Australia is returning to Network 10 in 2025.

Where will Big Brother 2025 be filmed?

Ten announced that Big Brother 2025 will have “a brand-new home”.

The original Big Brother Australia was filmed at Dreamworld on the Gold Coast, and the latest iteration was filmed at Sydney’s Olympic Park.

Big Brother Australia has been on Channel 7 for the last few years with the network trialling a new challenge-style format. It has terrible ratings and was ultimately axed. The last season was Big Brother 2023.

Who is the Big Brother 2025 host?

Mel Tracina has been announced as the host of Big Brother Australia 2025.

“Mel is a self-confessed reality TV junkie who will bring so much energy and passion to this revitalised series,” Ten’s release read.

“With 24-hour live streaming, live nominations and live evictions, viewers won’t dare miss a moment of the drama as it all unfolds in real time. Get ready Australia – Big Brother is watching.”

Big Brother Australia was first hosted by Gretel Killeen, then Kyle & Jackie O, then Sonia Kruger.

When will Big Brother 2025 air?

Big Brother Australia 2025 is launching across Network 10 platforms in the last quarter of 2025, so it’s a little while off. That being said, I feel like we’ve been waiting a good decade for an iteration of this show that isn’t an insult to the original. What’s a little longer?!

Who is in the cast?

The cast is yet to be announced but Ten has promised “relatable everyday Australians” and after what we’ve been getting from MAFS the past few seasons, I could not be more thrilled for some authenticity.

The Block 2024 room reveals: week five saw two teams end up with the same score

The Block 2024 week five room reveals make it hard to believe that a broken-down space once sat where the dreamy main bedrooms now do.

When is The Voice Australia on this week?

The Voice Australia 2024 is back for another season of blind auditions, fierce battles and wild performances.

Channel Seven’s singing competition TV show kicked off on August 19. It features a star-studded panel of celebrity coaches vying for the best talent.

Long-time coach and Australian Idol winner Guy Sebastian returned for his sixth season on the panel, along with three new coaches, American singer-songwriter LeAnn Rimes, Australian singer-songwriter Kate Miller-Heidke, and American singer Adam Lambert.

In the first few weeks, the four coaches listened to contestants’ performances without seeing them and turned their chairs if they wanted to add them to their The Voice teams.

Gold Logie winner Sonia Kruger has also returned to host the TV show for her ninth season.

What time is The Voice Australia on?

During the blind audition period of The Voice Australia 2024, the programme airs on Sundays at 7pm, and Mondays and Tuesdays at 7:30pm on Channel Seven and 7Plus.

The first three episodes of the season aired from Monday, August 19, to Wednesday, August 21, all starting at 7:30pm.

From September 15 until the end of the season, The Voice will air at 7pm on Sunday nights. These episodes will include the battles, semi-finals, grand finale and winner announcement.

In previous seasons, this tail run of weekly episodes aired over four to five weeks.

How to watch The Voice Australia

You can watch The Voice Australia 2024 on free-to-air at the days and times above or stream episodes via Channel Seven’s on-demand service, 7Plus.

Who will win The Voice 2024?

As the 13th season of The Voice Australia has just finished the blind audition period at the time of this writing, it’s hard to pick a credible frontrunner.

The Voice Australia coach Guy Sebastian. Image: Seven.

During the first battle episode on September 15, we most likely will start to see high performers and stragglers emerge, but it’s truly anyone’s game at this point.

As always, the talent on display is top-notch, so it’ll be exciting to see who takes home the crown by the end of the season.

Meanwhile, you can check out all of the past The Voice Australia winners here.

Meet The Amazing Race’s spicy reality TV duo, Cyrell and Eden

The Amazing Race Australia 2024 kicked off in early September, and saw 11 famous duos sent to the stunning South American country of Argentina for the first leg. On the spicier end of The Amazing Race cast are Cyrell Paule and Eden Dally, a pair of reality TV veterans who are no strangers to causing a stir.

According to the 10Play website, the engaged couple “are looking to push themselves to the limit for their charity and are prepared to do anything to win the race including lie, cheat or steal”. Spicy indeed.

The duo is playing for the charity Bravehearts, which is dedicated to the prevention and treatment of child sexual abuse.

Who is Cyrell from The Amazing Race Australia?

Cyrell first made waves on our TV screens in 2019 as ‘Cyclone Cyrell’, a firey bride on Season 6 of Married at First Sight. She became well known for her emotional and intense interactions with other cast members.

She was matched with electrician Nic Jovanovic, and the pair’s tumultuous relationship ended on the seventh episode of the season.

The Amazing Race isn’t the first time Cyrell’s competed in Argentina, either.

In 2022, she participated in The Challenge: Australia, going head-to-head with 21 other reality TV stars to win $200,000. Ultimately, she was eliminated in episode four of the series.

Cyrell is the youngest of seven children and credits her son Boston as her greatest achievement. Before her fame in reality TV, she worked as a health fund consultant.

In 2019, Cyrell began dating her now-fiance and Love Island Australia alum, Eden, and they’ve now added being a contestant on The Amazing Race to their list of achievements.

Who is Eden from The Amazing Race Australia?

Eden began his TV career on the first season of Love Island Australia. He coupled up with Erin Barnett on their first day in the villa, and the couple were crowned the runners up of the season.

Erin and Eden on Love Island Australia. Image: Nine.

Eden was a correctional officer before his reality TV debut. He also won the title of 2019 Mr World Australia and has since competed on SAS Australia 2020.

In 2021, he appeared on Australia’s version of the wacky miniature golf special, Celebrity Holey Moley.

Will Cyrell and Eden win The Amazing Race Australia 2024?

It’s still early days for the 6th season of the popular reality TV show, so it’s anyone’s game at this point in time. You can see who’s been eliminated so far here.

However, Cyrell and Eden have scraped through at 10th place in episode one and 9th place in episode two, so they’ll need to pick up their act if they want to be in with a chance to take out the top gong.

While Cyrell has credited herself as the brains and Eden as the team’s brawn, she thinks her way with words is their biggest strength and weakness.

Cyrell and Eden, The Amazing Race Australia 2024
Eden and Cyrell. Image: Instagram.

Eden told 10Play his work as a correctional officer will give him the skills and motivation to overcome the challenges thrown his way during The Amazing Race Australia 2024. He thinks they’ll surprise people as a team.

According to their Channel 10 team bio, the couple’s “game plan is to befriend everyone, never underestimate their opponents, and follow smart and strong teams.”

Time will tell if Cyclone Cyrell’s typical drama will get her into trouble during her time on the adventure reality TV show.

The Amazing Race Australia 2024 airs on Mondays and Tuesdays at 7:30pm on Channel Ten and 10Play.

Paige slams The Block for making her “look crazy”

Former The Block 2024 contestant Paige Beechey, who was teamed up with her fiancé, Jesse Maguire, has slammed the show in a series of TikTok videos, accusing producers of making her “look crazy”.

During the September 9 episode, Jesse and Paige announced that they had quit The Block due to her mental health issues.

The episode started with a clip of Jesse and Paige fighting, and they later talked to the show’s psychologist before they decided to leave.

When Paige watched the episode back, she said that she felt that The Block used her issues as a means to entertain viewers.

“The way they handled that whole mental health departure was just such a gross display of a TV show trying to cash grab for relevancy, and it’s really clear that they’re trying to step into their woke era.

“This was very opportunistic for them at the expense of mental health,” she began in the first TikTok video.

Paige said producers cut together her sentences to match The Block story line

Paige told her followers that she and Jesse were progressing smoothly on The Block during the first couple of weeks but was shocked to see that wasn’t how it played out during the episodes.

“The first two weeks, Jesse and I were pretty good. We were smooth sailing; producers were calling me an energiser bunny. They were commending me on how well I was handling the pressures and the stress,” she explained.

“They did that by literally putting full sentences in my mouth, and that’s what we like to call frankenbiting. They were chopping bits and bobs from everywhere and just smushing them together,” she added, referring to the editing technique which involves joining sentences together from different interviews.

“They were just blatantly cutting conversations to make me look crazy,” she said.

“They had to create a storyline for our eventual departure. That’s why they made the first two weeks absolutely fucking crazy,” she added.

“We were quite frustrated with the first two weeks of how we were depicted because it was just an editing shitshow.”

Paige made further claims about her time on the show in the explosive series of TikToks, including allegations against the filming crew and a psychologist.

“But you get a, you get a little bit of pocket money a day. I think it was around $100 per person per day, which isn’t bad.”

Ash added that while he was on the show, he still had bills from home to pay.

“But you still got to run a house at home. I mean, I actually shut down my whole business while I was down there. You know what I mean?”

Sarah Jane from The Block also revealed what she was paid. Image: Nine.

“So lot of questions about ‘do you get paid’ and ‘how did you lose money?’,” she began, adding: “$100 a day” per person. Which works out to $1400 a week between the team.

The amount is significantly less than that of the Married At First Sight 2024 participants, who told the Daily Telegraph that they were paid $150 a day and an additional $125 for food. Of course, depending on who you ask, MAFS pay details seem to vary from one season to the next.

The Block airs on Sundays at 7pm and Mon – Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
