As per usual, there will be five boys and five girls in the original cast, and two early bombshells. But, we can undoubtedly expect some more hot bombshells to enter the villa throughout the season.

The Blockfans have been left rattled after the backyard and pool reveals, with many taking to social media to call out the show and Channel Nine for not considering pool safety more.
It was House 5’s – Robby and Mat’s – pool that was the centre of attention forBlock fans, with fans being left “disappointed” about the lack of safety.
With the pair’s Trendz fireplace the star of the show, fans quickly pointed out that the layout of the massive fireplace blocks the view of the pool, making it dangerous and impractical, something judge Marty Fox also noted.
“From a family perspective, not being able to see the kids in the pool, that is a concern, and I think people will recognise that when they come here,” he said, while Darren Palmer was quick to defend the pair.
“The Swann security camera up here points directly at the pool, so you can watch that from your phone or from the TV inside in the living room and you can keep an eye on the kids while they’re in the pool,” he said as a rebuttal.
The Block fans left ‘disappointed’ by ‘dangerous’ design

However fans of the show took to Reddit and Facebook to call it out, saying Channel Nine should’ve been more careful when promoting the fireplace, the backyard setup, and praising the security cameras instead of focusing on what real pool safety is about.
“If you have a pool for the love of all that is holy be near the pool to supervise your children. You should not be on your deck or monitoring with a safety camera. The amount of accidental drownings is way higher than it should be and part of it is because parents do not properly supervise,” one person said on Reddit.
“Even if your child goes to swimming lessons THEY SHOULD NOT BE SWIMMING ALONE. If you are not on the pool deck with them, then they are unsupervised. I am incredibly disappointed in Channel Nine for promoting such unsafe behaviour.”
“Yes, exactly!!! They literally promoted not watching your children with your eyes, but looking at your snatch watch!??! Channel 9 needs to cut that out and leave the point the judge made about children being blocked from eyesight and how DANGEROUS this design is – not promote it because of cameras,” another agreed.
“Absolutely dumbfounded that product placement is obviously more important than pool safety,” someone else said.
“How fast would you be able to get around the fireplace if you had to jump in to save someone? It should not be compliant!” another person pointed out in a Facebook group.
“Since a child can drown in 20 seconds, this bothered me so much! The fire is on the wrong side of the pool fence. So since you’ve noticed your child drowning on your phone screen, you have run around the fireplace, open the gate (with a cool head), and then locate the child IRL, before you can start to save them. Could easily be long enough to kill the child, or cause them lifelong damage.”
Other fans argued that children should always be supervised in the direct pool area regardless
Some people, however, had counter-arguments to the placement of the fireplace and pool safety arguments.
“Children come in all ages. Young children need supervision. If your kids are young you’d want to be inside the pool area, either in the pool yourself or on the poolside furniture,” one person pointed out. “Kids in their mid to late teens usually don’t need any supervision at all. Keeping the occasional eye on them is all it takes, and being within earshot. Fireplace isn’t an issue. The cameras are a great safety measure for the gap in between where your kids are confident swimmers and want their independence, but you still want to keep an eye on them.”
“All parents should be in the pool area or right next to it though, if kids are swimming,” someone else agreed. “Not sitting on the alfresco watching, even if the fireplace wasn’t in that position. I’ve always been brought up to stay within the pool enclosure with children, so you can jump in straight away if there’s an incident.”
Chattr has reached out to Channel Nine for comment.
The Block 2025 airs on Sundays at 7:30pm and Monday – Wednesday at 7pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
As The Voice Australia 2025 moves into the Knockout round, the stakes are higher than ever, with many of the remaining contestants set to be eliminated.
The first stage of The Voice Australia was the Blind Auditions, where the four coaches each selected eight contestants for their teams. Next came the Battles, where teammates went head-to-head, with the loser eliminated.
Those who made it through advanced to the Knockout round, where only two contestants from each team held onto their spot in the competition.
Here’s everyone who’s left The Voice 2025 so far.

Team Ronan Keating
On Team Ronan, the Knockouts hit a soulful high. Cle Morgan, Ellaphon Ta and Mitchell Dormer lit up the stage with powerhouse performances that left Ronan speechless — and completely torn. “I can’t choose. I don’t know how I’d choose two,” he admitted.
In a shock twist, Ronan broke the rules and sent all three through to the Showdown — leaving just one spot up for grabs.
From the second Knockout, Milly Monk joined the lineup, setting the stage for an emotional four-way face-off. When the dust settled, Cle and Ellaphon rose to the top, earning their Semi-Final spots with stunning renditions of Giant Calvin Harris and Rag’n’Bone Man and I Can’t Make You Love Me by Bonnie Raitt.

On Team Kate, rising stars Alyssa Delpopolo, Sienna Langenheim, Charlie O’Derry and James Van Cooper came out on top in their Knockouts. Their Showdown performances of Olivia Newton-John’s Hopelessly Devoted, Miley’s Angels Like You, Calum Scott’s You Are The Reason and Takes Me Back by Noiseworks were pure magic.
But only two could move forward — Alyssa and Sienna soared into the Semi-Finals, while Charlie and James said their goodbyes.

Team Melanie C
Team Melanie C’s first Knockout saw Meg Drummond, Callan James and Gemma Hollingsworth put their own spin on some dancefloor classics. Gemma and Callan advanced to the Showdown, while Meg was eliminated.
After bending the rules in the Battles to add an extra artist, Team Melanie C faced a rare four-way Knockout. Matthias Gault, Cassie Henderson, Euan Hart and Lilli Vitagliano tackled Glastonbury hits, with Cassie and Euan coming out on top.
At the Showdown, Callan performed We Don’t Have To Take Our Clothes Off and Gemma sang Billie Eilish’s When The Party’s Over. It was Cassie’s Somewhere Only We Know and Euan’s Don’t You Want Me that secured their spots in the Semi-Final.

Adrian Portelli may be sitting out The Block 2025auctions, but billionaire and past buyer Danny Wallis might be ready to splash some serious cash instead.
For the last few years, Adrian has spent a significant amount on The Block houses — in 2023, he invested over $12 million across three properties. However, during the 2024 finale, he revealed he wouldn’t be returning this year.
Prior to Adrian’s first purchase on The Block, Danny was known as the biggest buyer, and he spent over $30 million buying 11 Block houses. However, he hasn’t bought any since 2022.
Scott Cam hints that Danny Wallis will be at The Block 2025 auctions
“We didn’t ban [Adrian]; that’s something he said. It’s a public auction, anyone can turn up, we just kindly said, ‘What do you reckon… You had a good run on the auctions, why don’t we leave it to some families to try and buy the houses.'” Scott explained on The Fox’s Fifi, Fev & Nick.
Adrian Portelli at The Block auction. Image: Nine.
“It doesn’t mean Danny Wallis won’t turn up either, so that’s alright. But I think Adrian has gone over to another network to do something anyway, so he wouldn’t be coming to our auction if he’s doing something over there. If he wants to turn up, he can.”
When Fev noted that Adrian had been dominating the spotlight at recent auctions — even joking that Danny was ‘scared’ of his big bids — Scott was quick to defend him.
“He hasn’t been scared, Danny. He’s a good bloke and he makes a lot of those houses available for My Room. He’s a good bloke and if he wants to buy another house like that, that’d be terrific for us,” the host replied.
Why Danny Wallis may skip The Block 2025 auctions
While Scott hinted that Danny might make an appearance at the auctions, his recent actions suggest otherwise.
Back in 2023, Danny revealed that he was planning to sell all of his investment properties in Victoria, after the state government implemented a new rule that homeowners would have to pay land tax if their investment is worth $50,000 or more, compared to the former $300,000 threshold. That didn’t bode well for future Block purchases, considering the show has predominantly been filmed in Victoria, aside from a few seasons.
Over the weekend, The Block judge Marty Fox sold two Melbourne homes owned by Danny Wallis, reinforcing the billionaire’s stance on stepping back from the Victorian property market.

Why isn’t Adrian Portelli taking part in The Block 2025 auctions?
Adrian bought all five houses at the 2024 auction, spending over $15 million. At the end of the event, he announced that he wanted to buy the “royal flush” for his final Block buy.
“I think this is the final one [auction day],” he said.
“So, I’m going to hang the boots up and go out with a bang. So, I did.”
This year, the billionaire announced that he’s joined rival network Seven and will be taking part in their new reality renovation show called My Reno Rules.
“You may have seen on previous reno shows they might do auctions, but unfortunately, only maybe 1 per cent of the viewing audience have the capacity to buy these homes,” he said on Sunrise after the announcement.
The Block 2025 airs on Sundays at 7:30pm and Monday – Wednesday at 7pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
The Amazing Race Australia 2025 is underway, and 13 teams of Australian celebrities are gallivanting around the globe in the hope of winning the prize for their chosen charity.
Among this year’s cast are Brendan Fevola and his daughter Leni, Dessert Masters host Melissa Leong and her friendLeah Wilson and Below Deck icon Aesha Scott and her fiancé Scott Dobson.
Each team has chosen a charity to represent, and whichever team crosses the finish line first will win $100,000 for their cause.
Tai ‘Bam Bam’ and Logan Tuviasa won The Amazing Race Australia 2024 and donated their prize to the Sydney Region Aboriginal Corporation.
“I used to work for them,” Tai told Chattr at the time. “I used to run a men’s group, and used to look after men down there. So we do a lot of work with the community, so I was really familiar with them. I had been doing a lot of football stuff with them.”
But with eliminations happening almost every episode, some celebrities are already losing their chance at snagging the winner’s title and the prize money.
Read on to find out who has left The Amazing Race Australia 2025 so far.
Who has been eliminated from The Amazing Race Australia so far?
Stop eleven – Gretel Killeen and Epiphany Mason
Gretel and Epiphany on The Amazing Race. Image: Ten
At stop eleven in Taiwan, Gretel Killeen and her daughter Epiphany Mason arrived last to the mat and were eliminated from the competition. Despite their departure, they remained positive while reflecting on their journey in the race.
“This has never been about coming first; it’s about staying in the race and having as many experiences as we possibly can,” Gretel told Beau. “As well as bringing some attention to women’s health so people are aware it’s been neglected for so long — we wanted to shine a light on that.”
Stop ten – non elimination
Steve and Bernie on The Amazing Race. Image: Ten
Stop ten saw The Amazing Race contestants head to Taiwan, and Steve and Bernie Curry were the last contestants who made it to the mat. Luckily, for them, it was a non-elimination round, and the brothers were left to race another day.
Stop nine – Melissa Leong and Leah Wilson
Melissa and Leah on The Amazing Race. Image: Ten
Melissa and Leah looked like they had a chance to stay in The Amazing Race Australia after Steve and Bernie Curry took a time penalty during a dance challenge, but even with that advantage, they still arrived at the mat in last place.
“Not going to sugarcoat it, it absolutely sucks,” Melissa told Beau. “It just goes to show you can have all of the heart in the world, and sometimes the odds aren’t in your favour.”
Stop eight – non elimination
Aesha and Scott finding out it was a non-elimination leg. Image: Ten
Aesha and Scott were devastated when they arrived at the mat in last place during their time racing in Sri Lanka. Luckily, the pair were saved as it was a predetermined non-elimination leg.
Stop seven – Brendan and Leni Fevola, and Lindy and Stella Klim
Brendan and Leni Fevola on The Amazing Race Australia. Image: Ten
Sadly, we lost two incredible parent-daughter duos on The Amazing Race Australia’s seventh leg due to illness. Fan-favourite Brendan Fevola set off on this leg solo, after his daughter Leni was too sick to race. Viewers were in awe of his determination to push through for his charity, as he faced his phobia of the ocean and dealt with heatstroke.
When he finally arrived at the mat, he was elated to learn he had come second. However, host Beau revealed this was a virtual pit stop, and Brendan made the tough decision to quit the race.
“On the race, you really need someone with you, someone to cheer you on, pick you up. You just need that person next to you, and I didn’t have that today,” he explained. “I just don’t think I can do this on my own. I’ve used all my tickets, man. I think I’m gonna have to check out, go home to my kid, take her home to her mum and sisters.”
Lindy and Stella Klim on The Amazing Race Australia. Image: Ten
Lindy and Stella were hoping to push through and make it to the eighth leg, but Stella struggled during a challenge and had a dizzy spell. The medics suggested the pair pull out from The Amazing Race Australia, which was tough.
“We’ve had a great time, it’s been so special doing it with Stella,” Lindy told producers. “I’m really fortunate that we had this experience that we could do together.”
Stop six – Dom ‘Tomato’ Di Tommaso and Marx Marsters
Dom Tomato and Marx on The Amazing Race Australia. Image: Ten
Dom ‘Tomato’ Di Tommaso and Marx Marsters took a time penalty after struggling with a challenge and it proved to be their downfall. The pair chose ‘Balls’ over ‘Guts’, and it proved to be a bad decision. Dom Tomato and Marx had to create 50 perfect salty yoghurt balls, but after failing to create the right consistency, they took a 30-minute time penalty.
When they arrived at the mat, Beau asked them to wait out their time penalty. With only 30 seconds to go, it looked like Dom Tomato and Marx would slide through by the skin of their teeth, but influencers Lindy and Stella made it to the mat just in time.
Stop five – non elimination
Brendan and Leni on The Amazing Race Australia. Image: Ten
Brendan and Leni were almost cut from The Amazing Race Australia at stop five, but were saved by a predetermined non-elimination leg. Meanwhile, Gretel and Epiphany proved they’re ones to watch by coming first on the mat, with Rob and Georgia coming second.
Stop four – Steph and Ben
Steph and Ben narrowly avoided elimination at stop two, but they met their end at stop four. While they thrived at selling pomegranate juice in the first challenge, thanks to Steph’s confident approach, they fell behind during the second dance challenge.
When they hit the mat shortly after Lindy and Stella, Beau informed them that they were eliminated.
“Brigit Water Foundation is run by our mum,” Steph said. “And it provides water to rural communities and developing countries.”
“It would have been nice to get the money for it, but we’ve had such a good time here anyway,” Ben added.
Stop three – Bronte Campbell and Benfield Lainchbury
Bronte and Benfield. Image: Ten.
Bronte and Benfield chose a door-painting challenge over tile scrubbing, which proved far too time-consuming. Luke and Sassy made the same choice, and the lengthy task ultimately left both teams trailing in last place.
However, Luke and Sassy managed to finish their challenge first, beating Bronte and Benfield to the finish line.
After host Beau Cook confirmed their elimination, Olympian Bronte reflected on the charity they were racing for — Carers Australia — sharing how her own mum dedicates herself to caring for her brother, who lives with cerebral palsy.
Stop two – non elimination
Steph and Ben. Image: Ten.
Brendan and Leni narrowly missed out on finishing last on The Amazing Race Australia during episode two, after they took a wrong turn right before the finish line.
Meanwhile, Luke and Sassy and Steph and Ben fell behind during the last challenge and it was Steph and Ben who were last to the Pit Stop. However, luckily for them, it was a pre-determined non-elimination.
Stop one – Ed Kavalee and Tiff Hall
Ed Kavalee and Tiff Hall on The Amazing Race Australia 2025. Image: Ten.
Ed and Tiff fell behind during the Detour challenge, where they had to stack hay into a pyramid tall enough to meet the required height.
After spending a considerable amount of time trying to complete the task, they decided to take a time penalty, which meant they’d have an extra 20 minutes added on after they reached the mat.
Although Ed and Tiff arrived at the mat in 11th place, both Luke and Sassy, along with Lindy and Stella, managed to check in while the pair served their time penalty — ultimately leading to their elimination from the race.
One of the biggest events on the Australian reality TV calendar is almost here — The Block auctions — and fans are on the edge of their seats to see which team will come out on top.
Prior to landscaping week, Britt and Taz, along with Robby and Mat, are tied for the most room reveal wins with four each — but will that success translate to auction day?
Britt and Taz believe that there are three houses in the running to take out The Block auctions, which will air on October 26, and their house is one of them.
The WA couple said that while they hope to be crowned the winners, they believe their biggest competition will be House One, renovated by Emma and Ben, and House Five, renovated by Robby and Mat.
“We do love Em and Bens, and the boys,” Britt told Chattr.
“Everyone wanted the pitched roofs, and I think all three of the houses really made the most of having those pitched roofs,” Taz added.
” I think the boys, more so, for their backyard and Em and Ben for their interiors. It’s very consistent — like ours — they stuck to a theme, but the boy’s backyard is beautiful.”

Do Britt and Taz think they can win The Block 2025?
Britt and Taz are undoubtedly one of the front-runners to win The Block 2025, but when asked by Chattr whether they think they can take out the competition, they remained modest.
“It’s so nerve-racking, I don’t know, we hope so,” Britt said. “We just want to set our family up. I feel like we do have a very beautiful home. It’s very on brand with Daylsford, it’s about wellness, and it’s very consistent, but you just don’t know.”
Taz pointed out that just because they’ve taken out several room wins this season doesn’t mean they’ll perform well at auction, based on past seasons.
“We’ve seen time and time again, people who might not have the greatest house do really well. We see the Toms and SJ’s [from The Block 2022] of the world, who won seven of twelve rooms and didn’t make [much] money, so it’s so unpredictable. But, you know, we try to do everything we can to sell this place.
Britt added, “We’re working as hard as we can to try and do that.”
The Block auction will take place on October 25 and air on Channel 9 and 9Now on October 26.
The cast of the revamped The Traitors has reportedly leaked — and if the rumours are true, casting has done their big one, pulling together a lineup packed with some of reality TV’s biggest names.
While Channel 10 has yet to confirm any of the cast, RealityTV_Fan, an Instagram account with a solid track record for accurate leaks, has revealed 23 names that apparently make up the lineup.
Read on to find out who makes up the rumoured The Traitors 2026 cast.
The leaked The Traitors 2026 cast
RealityTV_Fan has reported that the cast won’t just be Channel 10 Alum. While there’s plenty of talent from the network’s most well-known shows, like Australian Survivor and MasterChef, there will also be contestants from Channel 9’s MAFS, Love Island and The Block, and Channel 7’s Made in Bondi.
The Love Island contingent of the show will apparently include Claudia Bonifazio, Rachael Evren and twins Josh and Luke Packham, who also competed on a season of The Block. Another Channel 9 addition is set to be Cam Merchant from MAFS.
While Made in Bondi’s Lawson Mahoney is the only leaked contestant from Channel 7, Kween Kong and Rhys Nicholson from Stan’s Drag Race Down Under and Krissy Marsh and Gamble Breaux from Binge’s Real Housewives franchise are set to enter the castle too.
As for Channel 10 stars, there’s a bunch of them, including MasterChef’s Alvin Quah, Australian Survivor’s Kirby Bentley and AJ Antonios, The Bachelor’s Alex Nation and Keira Maguire, Big Brother’s Tully Smyth and Manaaki Hoepo from Aussie Shore.
The sole non-reality star contestant is said to be Rob Farnham, the son of Aussie icon John Farnham.
The Traitors Australia Season 3 will air on Channel 10 and 10Play in 2026.
Over the past ten weeks, fans have watched the five teams on The Block completely transform their Daylesford homes, all in the hope of selling them for big bucks on auction day.
Now that the Blockheads are putting the finishing touches on their gardens, fans are starting to wonder when the much-anticipated auctions will take place.
Read on to find out everything you need to know about The Block 2025 auctions.
When is The Block 2025 finale?
Like previous years, The Block 2025 finale will be auction day, which is when all five houses are auctioned off, and the winner is decided.
The auction date has been confirmed for Saturday, October 25, 2025 and The Block finale will air the day after on Sunday, October 26, 2025.
Interestingly, the date appeared to be officially released earlier than normal, and that likely had something to do with a slip-up by Robby and Mat’s auctioneer, Tom Panos.
In September, Tom posted a YouTube video about the impending auction, seemingly confirming the date, while announcing that he would be selling house five.
“The 25th of October, all eyes are on house number five, the one with the pickleball court,” he said.
Shortly after, Realestate.com.au confirmed The Block 2025 auction for that date.
How do The Block auctions work?
Every year, The Block teams are assigned a reserve price for their homes after the renovations are complete.
Normally, those figures differ depending on each house’s size and layout, but this season in Daylesford, the original layouts of all five homes are identical — so it’s likely their reserves will be pretty similar too. The reserve prices are usually shared during the episodes that air the week of the auction.
On auction day, whatever the houses sell for over the reserve, contestants get to take home. And, the house that makes the highest amount over reserve scores an extra $100,000 prize money and is crowned the winner of The Block.
The Block 2025 airs on Sundays at 7:30pm and Monday – Wednesday at 7pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
The first My Kitchen Rules (MKR) 2025 Kitchen Headquarters challenge was hard to watch, with Lol breaking down in tears twice. She was particularly upset when the judges deemed Lol and Lil’s dish worse than Michael and Rielli’s, sending the youngest competitors to an elimination cook-off against Anne and Maree.
The girls have had a rivalry with Michael since the beginning, when he declared they would be the first to go home due to their age. Since then, he has constantly critiqued their food, and also called them “bogans”.
Lol tells Chattr that Michael’s criticism was in her head when finding out they were at risk of being eliminated. “We thought we’d proved ourselves a little bit in round two, and then you just get knocked back down again,” she says. “It was so emotional, because I know we can be so much better than that as well. And I just hate seeing Michael right, so I really wanted to prove him wrong.
“It was just a lot of pressure from everyone, because it wasn’t just him saying [we would go home next], it was a lot of teams.”
Lol also said there’s now so much “pressure” on the two, because they only have “one more chance” to prove they deserve to be in the competition. “If we don’t, then we’re going home,” she adds.
After Lol’s family watched the episode and saw how upset she was, they all felt for the MKR contestant. “They were all crying as well,” she admits. “I have people sending me photos of them in tears, and they were stressed.
“We love everyone that’s given us so much support. It’s been amazing. Obviously, we have felt it all and appreciate it.”
Lol was overwhelmed with emotion. Image: Seven
Did Lol and Lil expect to beat Michael and Rielli?
Lol and Lil weren’t impressed with Michael and Rielli’s Chicken Liver Velouté, and believed their flavours were better. “I don’t think we belong in the elimination challenge. I wish Australia could have tasted that liver. It tasted like dirty socks,” Lol says.
Lil agrees, saying it tasted “really bloody”.
“It wasn’t enjoyable and I didn’t try it and think yum, give me more,” Lil adds.
However, while the pair liked eating their own meal more, they weren’t pleased with what they plated up.
“We knew it wasn’t done to the best of our ability, so we just weren’t happy with what we produced,” she says.
Lil and Lol will face Anne and Maree during an elimination cook-off on Monday night, which means one of the most-loved teams will be eliminated from the competition.
Fingers crossed there are no more tears!
My Kitchen Rules (MKR) airs on Monday and Tuesday nights at 7:30pm on Channel 7 and 7Plus.
If you’ve been up to date on Home and Away in recent weeks, you’ll know it’s been one trauma after the other, from Theo’s death to Mack’s miscarriage.
As Summer Bay collectively mourns Theo, Emily Weir, who plays Mackenzie Booth, is tackling a challenging storyline after her character Mack just suffered through a heartbreaking miscarriage the day before Cash and Eden’s wedding (and, well Theo’s death).
As Mack struggles to deal with the loss, shutting out her partner Levi and snapping at her roommate and BFF Mali, she’s now taken off to Queensland to help her brother Dean out with his new baby.
With Levi also mourning the loss and understandably concerned, and Mack shutting her friends down, fans are naturally worried about the future of Mack and Levi as they struggle with IVF.
Emily Weir opens up about Mack’s heartbreaking journey to motherhood on Home and Away
Mack was excited to become a mum. Image: Seven
“We’ve really wanted to do it justice,” Emily told Chattr on Mack’s miscarriage storyline.
“It’s a very common story. It’s been quite an ongoing thing for Mack with his pregnancy stuff. She had the ectopic pregnancy back a few years ago, so she’s lost a baby before, and a fallopian tube removed, but I think this time she’s just so much more solidified in her relationship.
“It’s an exploration medically, but also emotionally, about how she [Mack] feels and all the ups and downs of hormones, everything she’s going through.”
With Home and Away having its fair share of surprise and accidental pregnancies throughout the series, Mack and Levi’s storyline has captured fans who are really rooting for them to be able to have a happy family unit.
“There’s something about, you know, to a couple intentionally wanting something and being like ‘Oh, it wasn’t a mistake,’ or it’s not like, you know, an affair baby,” Emily said.
“We both want to start a family. And then the heartbreak, because it’s such a common story, it really tests relationships. It really tests women, like, mentally, physically, emotionally, especially around Mack’s age.
“It seems really relevant and topical. So, yeah, I feel very privileged that I get to explore it and all the ups and the downs of what Mack’s experiencing. It’s an honour, but it’s also wanting to do it delicately.”
Will Levi and Mack make it through the miscarriage grief?
Mack is silently suffering on Home and Away. Image: Seven
“It’s very testing on them emotionally,” Emily says. “What you’ll start to see is the ripple effect, what loss is like. It’s not just grieving a miscarriage, it’s grieving a future, it’s grieving a future that Mack has so solidly planned in her head.
“Look, all I can say is that there’s a true exploration around how a partnership kind of suffers a loss like this. And often people with grief and stress, they can turn on each other and pull away from each other. But I mean, the hope with Mack and Levi is that they love each other very much and [Levi] is the forever guy in her eyes. But you know, it’s not without it’s trials, I will say.”
Home and Away fans thank show for emotional storyline
“A lot of fans have reached out and said, ‘Thank you so much, we’re so glad that you’re exploring this’,” Emily shared.
“That’s the whole great thing about Home and Away, it’s connecting people to process their own experiences and having the show as, like, a best friend that goes, ‘Yeah, we get it. We know, we understand’. Actors do what we do, so people can feel less alone in the things that they go through. You know? Well, that’s why I do it.”
Home and Away airs Mondays – Thursdays at 7pm on Channel 7 and 7Plus.
Love Island Australia2025 is coming back with a whole new batch of sexy singles, and thanks to some online sleuths, we think we know who some of the cast are already.
The first trailer for the new season dropped on Monday, October 6, and fans were given a sneak peek at some of the new Islanders.
Social media users in the comments section seem to have identified almost everyone in the clip. While none of the Love Island Australia 2025 cast have been officially confirmed yet, the names dropped in the comments section appear to be pretty on the money.
Among the rumoured cast are a viral plumber, a signed model and a musician. Read on to find out more about them.
Bailey is another model who’s signed to Canadian label DULCEDO Models. Her Instagram shows that she’s worked for Lancome and Australia shoe brand Platypus.
Yana Marks has over 100,000 followers on her Instagram account, which showcases her daily life working as a plumber in Sydney. The 21-year-old also has her own brand Tradie Chicks which sells work clothing.
We saw twelve home bakers from all walks of life come together to take part in bake-offs that tested their baking skills as they battled it out for the crown of Australia’s best amateur baker. Across ten jam-packed episodes, the bakers faced the ultimate triple threat each week: the signature, the technical, and the dreaded showstopper — all tied together with a fresh theme every episode.
And of course, you couldn’t have The Great Australian Bake Off without some hosts and judges, right? This year, Natalie Tran and Tom Walker brought the laughs as hosts, while Darren Purchese and Rachel Khoo returned to dish out the critiques (and plenty of smiles).
After ten weeks of rising to every challenge, Beth Hoy was crowned the winner of The Great Australian Bake Off 2025.

Vanessa Furci

Throughout the competition, Vanessa wore her heart on her sleeve and poured her soul into every creation. For the proud Italian, food isn’t just a passion — it’s part of who she is. Each bake was a love letter to her heritage, celebrating the flavours and traditions she grew up with.
And while she didn’t walk away with the crown, Vanessa left the tent with her head held high — and every reason to be proud.
Her first bake — Red Velvet Birthday Cake had the judges swooning with barely a anything to critique, aside from a slight bend in the cake.
Next up was the technical — Darren’s chocolate and raspberry entremet. Once again, near perfection. The only tiny hiccup? The raspberry compote didn’t quite hit the centre.
Finally, her showstopper — Flour and Eggs. According to the judges, she absolutely nailed it.
Jess Synon
Jess Synon on The Great Australian Bake Off 2025. Image: Lifestyle
For Jess, being a part of The Great Australia Bake Off was a dream of a lifetime. Making it to the top 3 and the grand final? That was the icing on the cake.
Week after week, Jess wowed the judges with her creativity, flavour, and flair — but the crown just wasn’t meant to be this time.
Her first bake — the Hobbit’s Home Cake. The judges adored the detail and the flavours — even if it did lean a little more collapsing cottage.
Then came the technical — Darren’s chocolate and raspberry entremet. Jess nailed the chocolate mousse and the raspberry compote, but the balance was just a touch off.
Finally, her showstopper: Devil’s Ivy. A lush, flavour-packed finale that had the judges singing her praises once again.
“I came into the tent battling imposter syndrome, postpartum depression, and carrying more anxiety than confidence. But Bake Off gave me back a part of myself I thought I’d lost, she said.”
“I grew, I learned, and I found joy in progress over perfection.”
Tatiana Markovic
Tatiana Markovic on The Great Australian Bake Off 2025. Image: Lifestyle.
Tatiana came into the competition determined to showcase her Serbian heritage and baking skills — and she did just that.
Week after week, Rachel and Darren were impressed by her techniques and creativity. But during Patisserie Week, Tatiana’s journey in the shed came to an end.
She began with her Homestyle En Croute, which wowed the judges and hit every mark.
Next up was the technical — Rachel’s spiced pear charlotte russe. Tatiana earned praise for her presentation, but her downfall came with the white chocolate mousse, which was still too warm to be folded into the base.
Finally, for her showstopper, Sunday Breakfast. Tatiana’s flavours fell short and the judges wanted more from the presentation — especially this close to the final. That meant Tatiana became the ninth baker to leave the competition.
“Making it to the semis is a big deal — and I did it,” she said. “I am extremely proud of myself.”
Anirban Chanda
Aniban Chanda on The Great Australian Bake Off 2025. Image: Lifestyle
Anirban brought big ideas and serious skill to The Great Australian Bake Off — and it paid off when he snagged Star Baker in week three.
But during Earth Week, his journey sadly came to an end.
He kicked things off with his Raw Mango Cake, which Rachel described as sunshine. Darren loved the flavours too, though he noted the coconut cream layer was just a touch too thick.
In the technical, Anirban tackled Darren’s beetroot tart — but his didn’t make it out of the tin, and the pastry was underbaked.
Finally, for his showstopper — Sweet Sands. Anirban once again impressed with flavour. Unfortunately, his panna cotta didn’t quite set, seeping a little too much.
This meant Anirban’s time in the shed came to an end, as the eighth baker to leave the competition.
“I’ve had the best time of my life,” he said.
“I’ve never had a bunch of baker friends. I’m going to miss all of them, but I’m pretty sure they’ll be friends for life.”
Aysha Moulton
Aysha Moulton on The Great Australian Bake Off 2025. Image: LifeStyle.
Aysha infused every bake with the flavours and memories of the Solomon Islands, wowing the judges with her creativity and winning hearts with her generosity.
But during Japan Week, things didn’t quite go to plan.
First up, Aysha tackled 12 pandan and coconut shokupan buns. The flavours hit the mark, but the dough and detailing on the braids held her back.
Next came the technical challenge — Rachel’s matcha, yuzu and black sesame crepe roll. Aysha absolutely nailed it. Darren even said, “Whoever this is, they know what they’re doing.”
Finally, the showstopper: her tropical cheesecake. Sadly, the flavours and texture didn’t come together the way she hoped.
In the end, Aysha became the seventh contestant to leave the competition.
“I’ve had an amazing time,” she said.
“It really opened my eyes to my skills and showed me that I can do anything I put my mind to.”
Brian Rooney
Brian Rooney on The Great Australian Bake Off. Image: LifeStyle.
Brian Rooney walked into the shed full of determination, ready to show off his baking skills — and for the most part, he did. But during Little and Large Week, his bakes didn’t quite hit the mark.
His first creation, a Tiny Snowman, sadly ended up looking more like a melted one. The white chocolate ganache didn’t set, and the cake’s texture wasn’t quite consistent.
Then came Darren’s technical challenge: the Giant Chocolate Éclair. Brian faced the challenge head on, but his choux pastry missed the crunch the judges were looking for.
Finally, the showstopper — Brian’s Department Store. He was praised for his super-neat stencil work, but the judges wanted more decoration on the front and wished for a bigger hit of spice. To top it off, the biscuit was a little too soft.
And just like that, Brian became the sixth baker to leave the competition.
“I had a great time,” Brian said with a smile.
“Every baker that’s left deserves to be in the top three. They’re so talented and passionate — they’ve really reignited my love for baking.”
Jai Johns
Jai Johns on The Great Australian Bake Off. Image: LifeStyle.
Jai Johns entered the competition with a love for plant-based baking and a flair for bold flavours. A passionate vegan, they took on every challenge with confidence and creativity — but during Tropical Week, things just didn’t quite come together.
Their first bake — Beachy Banoffee Tarts — wowed the judges with tropical vibes and great flavour. Unfortunately, the pastry didn’t rise to the occasion and left them wanting more.
The technical challenge — a classic mille-feuille — also fell short, with pastry that wasn’t quite cooked through.
Finally, Jai’s showstopper, cheekily named Calaman-See Ya Next Week, sadly lived up to its name. The judges felt the balance of flavours wasn’t quite there, and it just wasn’t enough to keep them in the competition.
“I’ve had such a good time,” they said.
“I’ve met so many beautiful people, it’s been so fun just to nerd pout with people about baking, I never get to do that.”
Kelarnie Whalen
Kelarnie Whalen on The Great Australian Bake Off. Image: LifeStyle.
Kelarnie Whalen lit up the shed with pure joy, boundless enthusiasm, and undeniable talent — but when bread week rolled around, her sunshine spirit just wasn’t quite enough to save her from elimination.
She started strong with her Cinnamon Scroll Bagels, impressing the judges with their vibrant colour and delicious flavour. Darren, however, noted that he was craving a little more lift and fluffiness in the dough.
Next came the technical: Darren’s Turkish Bread with baba ganoush. While Kelarnie tackled the challenge head-on, the judges again pointed out that the dough fell slightly flat and could’ve benefited from a gentler touch.
Finally, her third bake — Kelarnie’s Snake Bread — missed the mark for the judges, with the details and definition not quite coming together, making her the fourth contestant to be whisked from the shed.
“I’m proud of how far I’ve come,” Kelarnie said after being eliminated.
“I did not even expect to be here, I’ve made so many new friends and I can’t wait to be baking again.”
Wesley Mitton
Wesley Mitton on The Great Australian Bake Off. Image: LifeStyle.
Wesley Mitton entered the tent with passion, flair and plenty of baking confidence, but Pie Week ended up being his undoing.
His first bake — a Galette Des Rois — was underbaked and not quite sealed properly, though Rachel did admit it had a nice bit of flakiness going on. Then came his Rhubarb Tangram Pie, but sadly, both the look and the flavours fell flat for the judges. That was enough to see Wesley become the third baker sent packing from the shed.
Still, he left with his head held high.
“I’ve had an amazing time, I’m really proud of myself,” Wesley said after his elimination.
“I will be taking away 11 new friends.”
Erik Newcomb
Erik Newcomb on The Great Australian Bake Off. Image: LifeStyle.
Erik Newcomb entered the tent with a passion for baking and a love of decorating, inspired by his Polish grandmother, but this week was where the cookie crumbled.
His first dish — Hot Chocolate Biscuits & S’mores — had the judges drooling, but Darren was quick to point out that his chocolate needed proper tempering. Then came his showstopper, Travel Around the Globe. The judges loved the idea and the flavours, but sadly, it just wasn’t enough to save him, and Erik became the second baker whisked out of the competition.
Gregson Gastar
Gregson Gastar on The Great Australian Bake Off. Image: LifeStyle.
Even though Gregson Gastar twirled into the shed with his pineapple obsession and his sweet dance moves, Cake Week wasn’t his week.
Gregson kicked things off with hisDancing Pineapple Roll, which wowed the judges with its colour and perfectly fluffy sponge and cream. But his second bake, the Gum Treecake just didn’t quite hit the mark with judge Darren admitting it “may have fallen short a little bit” — making Gregson the first baker to be sent packing.
“I’ve had the best time,” he said.
“The stuff that I have learned in this shed is priceless. I might be the first gone, but they’re always gonna remember my pineapple dance.”

Plus, we finally know when the show will air. Here’s everything we know about Big Brother Australia 2025!
Big Brother is returning in 2025. Image: 10
When will Big Brother 2025 air?
Big Brother Australia 2025 is launching across Network 10 platforms in the last quarter of 2025, so it’s just around the corner. A job advertisement shared by EndemolShine Australia, looking for Queensland-based Post Producers, Editors and Edit Assistants, gave a date range of early November to early December 2025.

Channel 10 has since announced that Big Brother 2025 will premiere on Sunday, 9 November at 7pm. The live-streaming iteration will be jam-packed with drama, and we can’t wait.
Where will Big Brother 2025 be filmed?
Ten announced that Big Brother 2025 will have “a brand-new home”.
The original Big Brother Australia was filmed at Dreamworld on the Gold Coast, and the latest iteration was filmed at Sydney’s Olympic Park. In a new job advertisement for the show, the location has been confirmed to be Queensland.
Big Brother Australia has been on Channel 7 for the last few years with the network trialling a new challenge-style format. It has terrible ratings and was ultimately axed. The last season was Big Brother 2023.
Who is the Big Brother 2025 host?
Mel Tracina has been announced as the host of Big Brother Australia 2025.
“Mel is a self-confessed reality TV junkie who will bring so much energy and passion to this revitalised series,” Ten’s release read.

Big Brother Australia was first hosted by Gretel Killeen, then Kyle & Jackie O, then Sonia Kruger.
Who is in the cast?
The cast is yet to be announced but Ten has promised “relatable everyday Australians” and after what we’ve been getting from MAFS the past few seasons, I could not be more thrilled for some authenticity.
Is there a Big Brother Australia trailer?
There sure is! The newest Big Brother Australia 2025 trailer shows host Mel Tracina watching over a slew of monitors, before showing some archive footage of Big Brother’s most iconic moments. You can watch it below:
Big Brother premieres on Sunday, 9 November 2025, on Channel 10.
“Welcome to the world, Bailey Colter Cox, born 25/09/2025, weighing 2.78 kilos, five weeks early, but perfectly healthy!” the post read.
Their baby’s due date was October 28, three days before the auction, and the couple told Chattr there would have been a helicopter on standby if Emma hadn’t given birth by then. At least that eliminates one potential dramatic event from The Block 2025 auction!
Prior to Bailey’s birth, the couple shared their thoughts on how they’d be as new parents, and it’s very sweet. “I think Ben will be the most incredible dad ever,” Emma said. “He’s like… just so loving and knowledgeable. And I think our little man will just follow in [his] footsteps.
“[Ben will] be able to play footy with him and run around with him, and I don’t know, just he’ll be a miniature [Ben].”
Ben also raved about Emma’s “positivity and joy”, saying she would be an amazing mother. “It’s infectious whoever she’s around, it just, it rubs off on them, and you can’t be unhappy [when you’re] around Emma.
“For the 12 weeks [we had to keep the baby news a secret] I was lucky I had her by my side, and the rest of my life. So, yeah, she’s a really great mum. I know she’ll take to it,” he said.
The new parents! Image: Nine
How did Emma and Ben choose their baby name?
While The Block’s Emma and Ben haven’t confirmed how they settled on Bailey Colter for their baby boy’s name, they did spill some secrets to Chattr prior to the birth.
“We have a shortlist of boy names,” Emma said at the time, before Ben explained they had been trying out an app called Kinder.
“Have you heard of a baby app named Kinder? It’s Tinder for baby names, and you both download this app on your phone, and then names will pop up,” Ben said.
“If you both swipe right to the name, it goes, you’ve got a match. Anyway, Em was showing me this app for the first time, and it’s on the phone, and she’s like as an example, the first name that pops up is Falcon.
“I’m like, that’s it! That’s decided!”
Bailey could make his first TV appearance during The Block 2025 auction, so hopefully his parents win big and make history.
The Block 2025 airs on Sundays at 7:30pm and Monday – Wednesday at 7pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
My Kitchen Rules (MKR)2025 contestants Michael and Rielli lost a bet with Mark and Tan after they scored lower than the Gatecrashers during the second Instant Restaurant round. Michael’s punishment? Doing a shoey out of judge Manu Feildel’s dirty boot.
While it looked quite disgusting — Manu had made sure to wear the shoe for two nights in a row — Michael didn’t feel any shame about drinking from the dirty boot.
“I’ve done shoeys out of a lot worse shoes,” Michael tells Chattr. “There was one way to describe it, and [the word is] ‘iconic’. We’re a little bit disappointed that we lost the bet, but at the same time, Mark was sitting at the table, jealous that he didn’t get to drink out of Manu’s shoe.”
The pair swear that Mark wants to be Michael, and claim Mark would have jumped at the chance to do a shoey.
“[Mark] literally said, ‘Can I do it next?’. And if that’s not a perfect example of Mark wanting to be Michael, I don’t know what is,” Rielli says.
“He didn’t want to lose. But now that Michael got to do it, he does want to lose. Anyway, I thought it was iconic. Imagine being able to say that you did a shoey out of Manu’s famous boot. Come on.”
Manu preparing the shoey. Image: Seven
Where do Michael and Rielli stand with Mark and Tan now?
According to Mark and Tan, they are on good terms with Michael and Rielli outside of MKR.
“We’re all good with them. You know, at the end of the day, it’s like when you jump onto a field or something in a game, you know you’re going to be competitive,” Mark told us.
“But off the field, you know what I mean, it’s different. I don’t think they’re bad people. I think they’re quite nice, but I think they probably just go a little bit far with certain things.”
However, Michael and Rielli didn’t hold back when talking to Chattr recently about how Mark and Tan shouldn’t be in the competition. “In general, they don’t really give anything to the table. They’re just annoying and boring,” she said.
Wonder if this will change Mark’s mind about where they stand with Michael and Rielli now?
My Kitchen Rules (MKR) airs on Monday and Tuesday nights at 7:30pm on Channel 7 and 7Plus.
Australian actor Emma Harvie is known for her roles as Chaya in RFDS and Megan in Colin From Accounts. They’re two very different shows, with RFDS tackling heavy topics and being filled with drama, while Colin From Accounts is a more light-hearted comedy. However, Emma tells Chattr there’s one similarity between the two that viewers wouldn’t expect.
“The vibe on set for Colin [From Accounts] is really light because it’s a comedy, but the vibe on RFDS is great as well. Like, everyone’s lovely. It’s a really warm environment,” Emma says. “I feel really lucky to work on both productions, actually.”
Even though RFDS is a hard-hitting drama about the Royal Flying Doctor Service in Australia, Emma loves working with the crew. The show usually films on location in country areas, such as Quorn and Port Augusta, so there becomes a bond between the cast and crew. “It’s kind of being taken out of your home base and thrust into [filming] this show… you spend more time together, because you’re away from your families,” Emma adds.
It can be “hard” to film RFDS, as the cast and crew sometimes have to battle the weather, plus there’s a lot of medical processes and jargon the cast have to get correct.
“We’re filming a lot in a short amount of time, [while] also being out in the elements. I remember there was a day where it was super windy and dusty, and the crew was standing in that for hours, and it’s actually incredible what they do,” Emma says.

Emma on why she was surprised by her role in RFDS
Emma’s character on RFDS is refreshing. She’s a former addict who falls in love, which can be unusual for a South Asian character in the Australian media landscape. She admits she was surprised by the chance to play a “love interest”, a role typically given to white Australians.
“I never thought that I would be cast as a love interest in a Channel Seven show… that you know, kind of gets that Australian… everyday person who [is] turning on free-to-air TV,” Emma explains.
“I didn’t think that someone who looks like me would be cast as a love interest in that world. I was really excited to do that, and I hope there’s more opportunities for women of colour on Australian TV.”
She acknowledges there’s still a way to go, but believes the Australian industry is “working towards that”.
RFDS. Image: Seven
Does Emma Harvie want to break into Hollywood?
There’s a trend for Australian actors to head over to Hollywood to try and make it big there, with plenty of successes. Just look at Chris Hemsworth, Nicole Kidman, Samara Weaving and more.
Emma says she’s open to the idea of nabbing a “cool role” in Hollywood, but notes that people all over the world are currently embracing Australian TV shows. “I’ve been to LA recently, and people love Australian content. They love Colin From Accounts. People have seen RFDS, we know RFDS is big in Europe. I think Australian voices are more being kind of embraced more internationally,” she says.
“I don’t know about if our stuff’s getting better, or if people are just looking outside the kind of American Zeitgeist for content, but yeah, we’re making amazing stuff.”
There are a few Home and Away stars on RFDS, so it could be a natural sidestep for Emma to make a cameo in Summer Bay or join the cast. She’s open to the idea, so could she be the next Northern Districts Hospital doctor?
“Yeah, [I’d join the cast] only if I can play like, a stalker, who you know, like sets fire to a shed and kills Alf (Ray Meagher) or something,” she jokes. “I don’t want to kill Alf, though. [I could kill] Brax? I don’t know… I’m gonna be a doctor, aren’t I? I’ll do it.”
RFDS Season 3 airs on Wednesdays at 7.30pm on Channel 7
Australian actor Aisha Dee shot to international fame when she starred as social media manager turned editor-in-chief in The Bold Type, but she’s returned to her roots starring in Stan’s new Australian psychological thriller Watching You.
While The Bold Type and Watching You couldn’t be more different, Aisha told Chattr how the iconic series helped me prepare for her latest venture.
“Honestly, The Bold Type was like a training ground for me in the professional sense, in that I just spent so long on set and kind of learning how to just do the everyday, the basic stuff,” she said.
“But I think the biggest takeaway that I have from that show is that I feel like it helped me through my 20s. I did all of my messy life stuff while on that show, and learned a lot, and hopefully grew a lot. I’m a lot less chaotic than I used to be. Keyword is less!
“But, I think it taught me a lot, but less the professional side and more just kind of helped me find myself as a human.”
Aisha plays Lina, who’s a paramedic, in Watching You, which is a far cry from her portrayal of Kat’s glamorous gig working in a New York magazine office. However, Aisha said there are a couple of things the two characters have in common.
“Kat and Lina. I don’t know how to draw a line between those two girls. I guess they’re both kind of messy. They’re both cheaters. Cat cheated. Lina cheated,” she laughed.
Aisha told Chattr she was immediately drawn to Lina — a woman who cheats on her boyfriend and ends up caught in a toxic spiral with a psychopath — because she gravitates toward characters with layers and complexity.
“I always feel quite drawn to messy characters, specifically characters who make really questionable choices. Because it’s a challenge to try to find out why, and especially when I read it, I feel kind of almost defensive of them, like they’re a friend to me, then I know that it’s probably something that I should do,” she said.
Lina gets blackmailed into revealing her affair, and a string of deaths happens as a result. Aisha explained that the real challenge was finding a balance — allowing the audience to understand Lina’s choices without completely villainising her.
“There were a lot of challenging things about playing Lina. I feel very blessed that they even trusted me to do it, and also blessed that I was surrounded with so many people who were such wonderful scene partners and were able to, all of us, create the world together.”
The Block 2025 contestant Alicia has emerged as the latest ‘villain’ on the show, after acting cagey towards fan-favourites Britt and Taz. Alicia and her husband, Sonny, recently told Britt and Taz that they didn’t deserve to win the most recent room reveal, and accused the pair of breaking the rules by working ahead on their deck.
However, former Big Brother winner Benjamin Norris has come forward to defend Alicia’s character, saying she’s a “wonderful person”.
“I’ve actually met and now know Alicia. She is a wonderful person. I get that people react to what they [see] on TV, but believe me when I say Alicia is kind, funny, thoughtful, generous and [a] great person to know,” Benjamin wrote on a popular Facebook group.
“I say this with love guys, you are watching a constructed reality show. You don’t know these people. They are reduced to moments that are designed to polarise you. I guarantee you all, Alicia is someone you would like. They edit out some people’s poor behaviour and make the others look like meanies. It’s just how these shows are made.”
When a fan pointed out that Alicia claimed she never opened her mouth to say anything bad, she was caught when producers found footage of her whipping out some “snide remarks”, Benjamin replied. “It’s a competition-based reality show. You don’t remember everything you say. Plus I think they were just speaking their truth at the time.”

The Block fans react to Alicia’s behaviour
Benjamin’s declaration about Alicia received hundreds of comments on Facebook, with the majority of them disagreeing with his opinion.
“You can’t edit out what comes out of her mouth. You are blinded because you’ve met her. She is a piece of work. Are they editing out the bits where Britt and Taz are nasty? No, because they are not those type of people. They don’t have it in them,” one fan fired back.
“Well, she has you fooled! Keep going by her rules and doing what she says and you will be fine [with] her! But if you say the word ‘no’, disagree with her or don’t follow her rules, watch your back! She will turn on you and it won’t be fun,” a third chimed in.

However, there were some fans who came to bat for Alicia and supported Benjamin’s comments.
“Honestly, I really like her on The Block! There are no contestants that I don’t like this season. Humans have flaws… that doesn’t make them bad people,” a fan pointed out.
“I honestly don’t see what all the fuss is about. I see pretty much everything Alicia says as ‘tongue in cheek’. If I had consistently produced quality rooms compared to those that won, I’d be bloody fuming. And we know the producers incite the contestants to give ‘salty’ content and create the drama,” another remarked.
“It’s all scripted by the producers of the show to create more drama so more people will watch. It’s a numbers game, pure and simple now. All reality shows are the same. Whoever gets the most viewers win,” a third wrote.
“I absolutely love her energy and her laugh. You can tell she is fiercely loyal and an amazing mum and wife… I don’t think she means any harm whatsoever,” another said. “It’s such unrealistic pressure and I feel for all of them.”
Now that Britt and Taz have also won the baking challenge on The Block, the animosity amongst the contestants is surely going to grow. Fingers crossed there aren’t any other snide comments from Alicia.
The Block 2025 airs on Sundays at 7:30pm and Monday – Wednesday at 7pm on Channel 9 and 9Now.
Britt and Taz have continued their winning streak on The Block, after winning the Bake Off challenge in the most recent episode, with their Tim Tam cinnamon scrolls (or doughnuts, depending on how you looked at them) winning over the hearts and taste buds of the Country Women’s Association judges.
If you’re a little confused, yes, The Block contestants had to take a break from planning and building houses to bake a sweet treat that featured an Arnotts biscuit, with the winner earning $10,000. The challenge aimed to give the teams a break from the renovations and a chance to use their brand new kitchens.
With some formidable judges ahead of them, Britt and Taz may not have necessarily had the best-looking sweet treat on arrival, but the taste of their Tim Tam Smash scrolls won over the three judges Lorraine, Charlotte and Peta.

The Block’s Britt and Taz face more wrath from co-stars
While the CWA ladies were left satisfied, Britt and Taz’s co-stars were less than happy for the pair taking out another challenge, after a string of successes this week. Notably, no one clapped or congratulated them and, well, their former BFFs Sonny and Alicia looked less than impressed, something fans quickly picked up on.
While their co-stars may not have been happy for Britt and Taz, The Block fans certainly were.
“So glad they won. This will potentially set the others off on another hissy fit,” one person commented on a Facebook thread on a Block fanpage, with another fan agreeing, “Did you see the other contestants’ faces? Priceless.”
“How pissed off did Alicia look,” another said, with others also pointing out she looked “sour”.
Some fans couldn’t help but laugh at the commentary from the three judges when it came to Alicia’s lemon-slice, with Lorraine savagely saying it didn’t need “much talent” to make it.

“The judging was gold,” one person commended.
“I still keep giggling about ‘making a lemon slice doesn’t require much talent’ quote,” another said, with someone agreeing, “Best quote of the season.”
And Blockheads were a bit baffled by the whole baking competition in general. “Imagine a baking show that has a segment on building a house. ‘Okay, Nana, now here’s a bonus round, so let’s start installing roof insulation,” one person joked on Reddit.
What is going on between The Block’s Taz and Britt and their co-stars?

Alicia and Britt bonded early in the season, but cracks started to show after Britt left Alicia out of a shopping trip and struck up a friendship with 2023 winner Steph Ottavio. Things then reached a boiling point earlier this week, when Britt and Taz got a head start on their deck, prompting Sonny and Alicia to call a Body Corp meeting to confront them.
The Body Corp debate got messy, and the two couples stayed behind to hash it out. While Sonny apologised for making snide comments about Britt and Taz’s back-of-house win, Alicia denied making any digs.
When asked by Chattr where their relationship stood with Sonny and Alicia now, Britt and Taz’s answer didn’t seem like there was any love lost between the teams.
“We’re all civil. We’re all adults,” Taz explained, adding that there wasn’t any outright animosity. “Everyone is civil, but from The Block, and even extending on, we just sort of stay in our own lane.”
When asked about the lack of support from their co-stars, the couple credited their strong relationship for getting them through the trying times.
“That’s one of the best things to come out of The Block, just how good our relationship was during and also after, because we just could handle anything,” Taz said.
“But, we were never out to get anyone or to stitch people up. We were just there to build this bloody house, and hopefully set the kids up afterwards. So the fact that our relationship stood this test quite easily, like, we didn’t fight, we just got on with it.”
