Australian Survivor is back for a brand new season in 2026, with the theme Redemption. The show will feature four returnees and a bunch of first-time players.

Of course, like every season of Australian Survivor, only one contestant will be left standing — the winner is crowned Sole Survivor and walks away with a $500,000 prize. To get there, castaways are voted out from the very first episode.

While the format of the show is the same as in previous years, there’s been one huge change for the popular reality series: the beloved host Jonathan LaPaglia has been switched out for David Genat. David competed on three seasons of Survivor and won one, but Redemption will be the first time he’s stepping up as host.

Ahead of the new season, in a Reddit AMA, David revealed that the network had decided to axe Jonathan before deciding on him as the replacement host.

“I wasn’t looking at it like taking JLP’s spot because he wasn’t going to be returning after Aus v The World, regardless of who took over. I knew others were being cast, so I was really happy to get the chance to audition and get the role,” he said.

“It’s tricky to describe it, but so much of what Jeff and John do is part of the fabric of the show, so you can’t or wouldn’t try to change it. There will be similarities, but it will be me.”

David will be holding the iconic Tribal Councils each episode, where the contestants vote on who will be eliminated from the show. Read on to find out who’s been voted out so far.

Who has been voted off Australian Survivor 2026 so far?

Keeley

Keeley, who has been a fan favourite throughout this year’s season of Survivor, was sent home after an unexpected move from Sally. Sally – who held the other half of Keeley’s idol — made out like she was going to flip and work with Keeley. But, in the end, she chose her OG alliance of Loz and Caleb and Keeley was sent packing.

Brooke

Another frontrunner after 10 years in the game, Brooke has been eliminated for the final time and has called it quits in the Survivor franchise. A sad elimination; her fellow campmates and fans commended her for her brave fight and gameplay, and she received a standing ovation from her fellow castaways.

Simon

Tipped to win, returning player Simon was eliminated after a 4-4 tie between him and Loz, and after Brooke flipped her vote, Simon got his torch snuffed.

Ben

Jackson sided with the returnees at Tribal Council and turned on his bestie Ben, ultimately sending him home.

With a tense, tight reveal of votes, it was Jackson’s vote for Ben that had only pushed him across the line and eliminated him from the game. But, on the way out, Ben still hugged Jackson, so we’re guessing, there’s no bad blood between them.

Blanche

After Brooke played her hidden immunity idol, she was safe from the majority of votes coming her way. With those votes void, the target shifted — leading to a blindside that sent Blanche home. On her way out, Blanche made it clear: if it was Sal, Caleb or Cam who voted for her, “we’re done.”

Mark

Australian Survivor legend Mark Warnock was blindsided by his close ally Caleb after dominating the game once again and emerging as a major threat.

Tired of being underestimated and being told what to do, Caleb flipped the script — playing both sides and convincing Ben and Mark they were targeting each other, all while acting as the swing vote. In the end, he cut Mark, knowing his résumé was too strong to take him further.

Richard

In the end, it was Richard’s negotiation skills that led to his downfall. Even though the target was on Mark’s back, he blindsided the entire tribe by whipping out a secret Idol, and Richard was sent home with just three votes cast against him.

Lottie

Lottie entered the merge in a powerful position, but after Jackson didn’t win individual immunity, Lottie planned to vote him out.  However, Keely flagged how powerful she [Lottie] was becoming, which worried Mark and Simon. As a result, they both agreed to use their influence to vote Lottie out.

Faith

Faith, Australian Survivor

As a chef and mum of five, four of whom she homeschools, Faith came into Australian Survivor: Redemption looking like a serious contender, and she didn’t disappoint. She quickly built a strong alliance with returning player Mark Warnock and newcomer Keeley, while also forming a “Wise Women” alliance with Keeley and fellow newcomer Sally Foord.

With these solid alliances, plus her physical strength and sharp strategic mind, Faith seemed well-positioned to go deep in the game. However, things took a turn when she had an honest conversation with Mark, admitting she wouldn’t take him to the end because she believed he could beat her. Already feeling uneasy ahead of the merge, Mark spiralled and teamed up with Rich and Caleb — two players Faith had long targeted — to orchestrate her blindside.

At Tribal Council, Faith cast her vote for Sally, which tied and forced a revote. With only Mark, Rich, and Caleb eligible to vote, and limited to choosing between Faith and Sally, all three ultimately voted for Faith, sending her home and solidifying Mark’s position going into the merge.

Aisha

Aisha arrived at the Tribal Council with her head held high. She felt secure in her alliance with Lottie and Cameron, and even more so after she and Blanche found an idol. With Brooke firmly in her sights, Aisha even threw the challenge to make the blindside happen.

But behind the scenes, everything had shifted. Simon had flipped, quietly building a new alliance with Brooke, Jackson, Ben, and Loz. Even though Brook was holding an idol, she didn’t need it. Her alliance has the numbers and made their move. Aisha’s torch was snuffed, and that was the end of the season’s most promising strategic game.

Tez

Tez arrived at Survivor full of confidence. As a self-confessed Survivor fan, he was hoping his knowledge would give him an advantage. However, things didn’t pan out quite like he had hoped!

After Tez attempted to form alliances with his tribemates, he also had a habit of calling people out at Tribal Council, which made others wary of working with him. As a result, this was his downfall: his tribemates didn’t trust that he’d stick to a plan, so they decided he had to go.

Lyndl

Lyndl was an early target on the original Bounty Tribe, frequently finding herself at the bottom of the pecking order. Earlier in the season, a vote meant for her shifted to Eliza after Lyndl revealed that Eliza had been sharing alliance secrets with her. Eliza was ultimately voted out — a move Lyndl claimed credit for, though it was actually driven by Paula.

After Eliza’s exit, Jackson was keen to vote Lyndl out, but a tribe swap came at the right time to keep her safe.

On the new Bounty tribe, Lyndl felt comfortable and confident with her new tribemates, so much so that she didn’t realise they were planning to send her home. Keeley, Faith and Mark organised a split vote between Lyndl and Rich, and when Lyndl didn’t play her idol, she was voted out.

Don

Monday night’s episode of Survivor ended with Don being blindsided at Tribal Council. After a tribe swap placed him on the new Bounty tribe alongside several former Barren members, Don believed he was safe thanks to his Corn Chip Cartel alliance with Mark and Caleb.

However, a last-minute plan spearheaded by Keeley saw the votes flip, sending Don home and leaving Mark not happy with his alliance.

Johnson

Mark was making the tough calls at the Barren tribe, and, after they lost the immunity challenge, strategies and plans were being passed and discussed in every direction.

Both Faith and Keely discussed making a move on either Tez or Caleb and ultimately settled on targeting Caleb.

But despite the alternate strategies being floated, and with Brooke feeling nervous about playing her idol to stay safe, she didn’t need to. The votes at Tribal Council were split between Johnson and Don, with Johnson sent home.

Harry

Harry on Australian Survivor. Image: Ten.

Harry, a returning player, didn’t get off to the best start. The bounty tribe lost the immunity challenge, and then Harry lost his chance at individual immunity when Lyndl balanced longer than he did on some pegs. After Aisha gained an advantage, Loz then joined the Barren Tribe.

Harry then knew it was either him or Jackson who would be voted out at Tribal Council, and as a result, Harry went into “Dirty Harry” mode and came up with a plan: he and Jason would steal the flint, with one of them putting it in their pocket. Then, once at tribal, they would let them know that if they sent one of them home, they had a 50 per cent chance of losing their flint, and they should send Richard home.

Lo and behold, the plan did somewhat work; however, Jackson pulled out the flint from his pocket and said he would never leave his tribemates unable to make fire. As a result, Harry’s torch was snuffed.

Paula

Paula and Harry were plotting to take out Lyndl, but after Lottie was brought in to the master plan, she told Aisha that Paula was controlling Harry. Lyndl grew nervous as she heard her name mentioned, wondering whether she should pull out her idol at tribal council, thankfully for her, Paula was sent home.

Eliza

Eliza was the first real blindside of the season, and it all unfolded after she told Lyndl that the two of them were at the bottom of the totem pole at Bounty tribe. Lyndyl was furious when she heard the news, and successfully rallied the others to vote out Eliza.

Cat

The Traitors NZ contestant Cat threw herself in the firing line when she started making chaos at camp right before Tribal. While Cat wasn’t initially a target, returnee player Mark switched up the vote at Tribal and Kat’s torch was snuffed.

Daniel

Daniel. Image: Ten.

The first Tribal saw Harry Hill’s and Simon Mee’s tribe sent to meet David at Tribal after losing the elimination challenge. It was clear that some of the new players were considering making a “big move” and targeting Harry or Simon.

However, in the end, it was an almost unanimous vote against Daniel (bar his own vote), and he was the first person to have his torch snuffed by David as he was eliminated from the game.

Australian Survivor airs Monday – Wednesday at 7:30pm on Channel 10 and 10Play.
