The Block 2025 may be well and truly wrapped, but it’s been obvious for a while that some post-season tension has been brewing between Alicia and some of the other contestants.

Several cast members shared their finale watch-party videos on social media, but the divide was obvious, with only Alicia and Sonny, Mat and Robby, and Han and Can showing up.

Now, Alicia has admitted that she doesn’t speak to Britt and Taz at all.

“We speak to most people still. We were just with Em and Ben last week. So yeah, we still speak to pretty much everybody,” she said during a podcast interview on Confessions of a Reality Star, adding that Britt and Taz were the only team “not on the list”.

Alicia went on to say that, despite how close she and Britt were at the start of the season, she doesn’t find it weird to go through such an intense experience like The Block and then fall out of touch.

“Not for me, because we were who we were the whole way through, right? And some people played a very different game to the rest of us.”

Where does The Block’s Alicia stand with Britt and Taz now?

Things started to go south for Britt and Alicia after Britt left Alicia out of a shopping trip and struck up a friendship with 2023 winner Steph Ottavio.

“I think it all came down from, you know, that miscommunication with not sending her the text message [to go shopping], which I apologised for twice,” Britt explained in an interview with Chattr.

“I still offered to go shopping with her the next day because we planned to go on the Saturday, and I went on Friday, and I went shopping on Saturday, but she didn’t want to go with me. So look, there’s obviously just some hard feelings there that she couldn’t get past at that point for whatever reason. So they probably all do stem from around that time.”

“For me, it just seems like, in the real world, just not replying to a message or not sending a message, like, for me, there’s bigger issues,” she added.

Things escalated after Sonny and Alicia called a Body Corp on Britt and Taz with the intention of penalising them for working ahead. Taz told Chattr that, at the time, he was sure that he and Britt could resolve the issues with Sonny and Alicia, but things didn’t end up going that way.

“At the end of it, we were like, all right, surely they’re just gonna get over it, they sort of communicated to us as much as we did, we were like, we’re too good friends to let the basic miscommunication ruin a friendship,” he said.

Alicia elaborated on Confessions of a Reality Star that she doesn’t currently have a relationship with Britt or Taz and she isn’t upset about losing Britt as a friend.

“There’s no sadness. I’m not sad. I was who I was the whole way through. And then when you watch it back, it’s very, very calculated and manipulative. I think they really stuck to their guns.

“And like, early on in the piece, we were close, and I was doing a lot of the driving all the time, as you would have seen, I was missing cut-offs for, like, furniture, Brits sitting beside me. When I look back and Brits sitting there ordering furniture and winning room after room. That’s why my rooms are bare because she’s sitting beside me doing what she needs to do, and I’m taking care of both of us.

“Early on the piece, we were close. And then I started to realise, as it went on, this is actually biting me in the bum. I’m giving her an advantage by sitting beside me, doing that. There was never an offer of, ‘Hey, do you want me to place an order for you?’ Like, ‘Oh, I’m just on this site, do you want me to order?’ There was never any of that.

“So out of everybody, they were the most calculated, for sure, like, it was a great gameplay. It was very smart to play the way they did, because, I mean, it worked for them. Australia fell in love with them, right? So, yeah, I’m just not that type of person [to do that]. I don’t think that much before I speak.”
