It didn’t take long for Demari Davis and Marissa George to emerge as the first strong couple on Perfect Match Season 4 — and they’ve quickly adopted a mentor role for the rest of the season.
The couple, who partnered up on the first day, have clearly positioned themselves as the mum and dad of the Perfect Match villa, dishing out advice to other contestants. But while their connection appeared one of the strongest in the house after the first batch of episodes was released, did their relationship go the distance once filming wrapped?
Read on to find out everything we know about Perfect Match‘s Demari and Marissa’s relationship status.
What’s happened between Marissa George and Demari Davis’ so far on Perfect Match Season 4?
Demari was previously on Netflix’s Too Hot To Handle Season 6 where he coupled up with Bri Balram at the beginning of the season and the couple went on to win the show and continued to date for about seven months post-filming.
Marissa and Demari’s reality TV pairing kicked off in a similar way, despite the fact that Demari had multiple women after him in the first challenge, he only had eyes for Marissa.
“Demari, Demari, Demari, you’re mine, case closed, that’s it. I mean, look at him, God he’s beautiful, and our connection was instant,” she said in a producer-led interview.
Marissa matched early with Demari after a poolside chat, and the couple headed off to their private room to let the rest of the couples figure out who they’d be matching with.
While the couple appeared to have relatively smooth sailing for the first few episodes of the show, their romantic connection was thrown into jeopardy in episode 5 when they had a bizarre fight when Demari told Marissa she made him feel like he could be himself.
“Of course, he likes me because I made him feel good, or because I make him a better person,” Marissa remarked. “In this very moment, it made me think about past things I’ve heard before, where it’s like, someone liked me for what I could give them, or provide for them and not really liked me.”

Dave hints that Marissa and Demari had a game plan to win Perfect Match
Any dedicated reality TV fan knows that the couples who come out strong early, and have enough time for viewers to invest in their relationship, are usually the ones who go on to win the show. Demari and Marissa certainly fit that mould — and their brief wobble in episode 5 may have only strengthened their storyline, giving viewers even more reason to root for them.
So, is it all part of a carefully crafted strategy to tick every box of a popular reality TV couple? Perfect Match‘s Dave Hand hinted that it could very well be.
“I think those two might have had a conversation early on about, you know, trying to stick it out, or staying together the whole way. Because, you know, there was a bit of bits of ups and downs, but they were very solid when they were there. They didn’t really venture off their track, you know,” he told Chattr.
“Then you’ve got, me, on the other hand, who was like, swerving and going anywhere, really. I’m like, you guys were here to have fun and get to find your perfect match. You’re just staying with the one person. You could have stayed home and added her on Tinder. I don’t know, I feel like they were, had something going on.”
Are Demari and Marissa still together after the show?
Demari and Marissa have been abiding by their Netflix contracts and haven’t given away any hints about whether they’re still together outside of the show.
However, the one breadcrumb they’ve thrown away is Demari’s Instagram comment on Marissa’s Perfect Match cast pic, where he wrote ‘Okayyyy’ with two fire emojis, and Marissa liked the comment. The flirty exchange could indicate that they’re still together IRL, or they could just be drumming up more promotion for the show.

So, whether Marissa and Demari are officially together post-Perfect Match — it’s honestly anyone’s guess, but we’ve got our fingers crossed for them!
