Marissa George got married months after filming Perfect Match

And it wasn't to Demari!

Marissa George, who was coupled with Demari Davis for the entire duration of Perfect Match Season 4, has gotten married to someone else since the show wrapped filming in November 2025.

Yep, Marissa got engaged just three months after the finale was filmed, on February 21, to her long-time ex D. Johnson, and the pair tied the knot just one month later on March 21.

Marissa and D first met in 2013 and dated for thirteen years. The timing does seem a little suss considering that Marissa filmed her first reality show, Love Is Blind in October 2023. However, Marissa told People that their relationship was always on and off.

“Over the last 13 years, we somehow always found our way back to each other,” Marissa explained. “Anytime we were both single, we’d reconnect and it was always clear the feelings never really left. Even our mutual friends would always say, ‘If the timing ever works out, they’re going to end up together.'”

“Eventually, after years spent being each other’s ‘what if,’ we got to a point where we were like, ‘Screw the distance, this is worth it.'”

Marissa told the publication that when Perfect Match filming wrapped, her and Demari decided to leave the show as friends, before her and D rekindled their relationship that same month. They married in a small elopement ceremony with their parents, siblings and closest friends in Savannah, Georgia.

“The day I said ‘I do,’ I felt this immense responsibility in the most beautiful way. Not pressure, but clarity. Like, this is serious. This is real partnership. I can’t play games and I don’t want to,” she shared. “It’s not that I didn’t take past relationships seriously, but I honestly don’t think I fully understood what a healthy love was supposed to feel like until now. And once you experience a love that feels peaceful, grounding, safe, and freeing all at once, it completely changes you.”

Marissa said watching herself back on Perfect Match Season 4 helped her grow as a person, and said she couldn’t be happier about where her journey ended up.

“I cherish what [my husband and I] have so deeply. Which is honestly why I can now watch myself on Netflix, see all the growth and mistakes and lessons, and still feel proud of the woman I’ve become,” she said. “Because this relationship didn’t just give me love, it helped me understand myself more too.”

“And after such a public experience with dating and relationships, it’s been really beautiful having something that feels so real and private at its core. He’s truly my best friend and I genuinely feel so lucky that after all this time, timing finally chose us too.”
