Netflix’s hit reality dating series Perfect Match returned for a wild fourth season, and it brought together an eclectic mix of reality TV alums from across the globe to become matches and go on dates.

Hosted by Nick Lachey in a luxurious Tulum villa, the high-stakes dating show tasked famous singles with coupling up and competing in compatibility challenges to find their ultimate partner.

Among this season’s couples are Ally Lewber and Jimmy Presnell, two fan favourites who have kept viewers glued to their screens from the very beginning for their emotional connection, quirky dynamic and on-and-off relationship.

Ally, originally from Ohio, rose to fame on Bravo’s Vanderpump Rules during Seasons 10 and 11, which documented her highly publicised relationship with her ex-boyfriend, controversial DJ and pasta-enthusiast, James Kennedy.

North Carolina native Jimmy Presnell first captured public attention on Love Is Blind Season 6, known for his dramatic engagement and subsequent split from Chelsea Blackwell aka Megan Fox 2.0. And now, Jimmy is ready for a new Netflix show and he has a brand new look.

Despite coming from two entirely different reality TV universes, Ally and Jimmy crossed paths in Mexico and instantly hit it off. But are they still together? Read on for everything we know about Jimmy and Ally’s relationship.

What’s happened between Ally Lewber and Jimmy Presnell on Perfect Match Season 4?

Their journey to coupling up wasn’t without obstacles. While Ally was immediately drawn to Jimmy’s humour and grounded energy, Jimmy was ready to explore all his options. “I’m shooting my shot with every single girl that walks up,” Jimmy said in the premiere.

But by episode two, the couple were smitten with each other. “I’m actually starting to really like Jimmy, and I can tell that he likes me too,” Ally admitted in a confessional. Meanwhile, Jimmy’s relationship with Ally only intensified as he told the other men that Ally “snuck up on me,” and he was crushing hard.

However, a spanner was thrown in the works when Ally expressed interest in newcomer, Dave Hand, an Australian contestant from Married at First Sight. Dave told Ally he had an immediate interest in her, and Ally kissed the MAFS bombshell. This sent Ally’s relationship to breaking point, as later on, Jimmy told Kassy Castillo that she was his type.

Despite going on a romantic date with Dave, Ally missed Jimmy, and found herself continually pulled back toward him, prompting Ally to share her true feelings. “I did test the waters…but I feel confident in our match, and I do really like where we’re going,” a nervous Ally turned to Jimmy to say.

Meanwhile, Jimmy admitted in his confessionals that Ally was checking every single box for what he wanted in a long-term partner. Their relationship hit another speed bump when host Nick Lachey visited to ask contestants to vote for which fellow contestant star was in the villa for the wrong reasons, and ended with Jimmy ultimately failing to prove himself, copping four votes from his fellow contestants.

Since then, Ally and Jimmy solidified their pairing by matching up again and finally getting on the same page, quickly becoming one of the strongest couples of the season.

But just as things were becoming more stable and their spark remained strong, former Temptation Island tempter Hashim Moore became one corner of another potential love triangle.

Did Ally and Jimmy break up on Perfect Match?

They did! However, it didn’t last long. The drama kicked off during Episode 7 after Ally and Jimmy had sex the night before the singles mixer. After experiencing the deeper connection, Ally wanted to close things off with Jimmy before they were separated for the day, but Jimmy was intent on keeping things open.

Ally hit it off with Hashim at the mixer, and he picked her to go on a one-on-one date with the following day. That night, Ally was so torn in her decision between the two men that she threatened to leave the villa herself. However, Jimmy made things easier for her when he decided to walk out of the experiment after Ally flopped between the two of them for most of the night.

Ally embraced Hashim almost immediately after he left, and seemed pretty happy with the outcome. But, their happy ending didn’t last long. In the finale episode, challenge winners Sophie and Dave decided to bring Jimmy back into the villa, and he took Ally out on a date where they rekindled their spark. After the date, Ally had to choose between Jimmy and Hashim to take to the finale, and she picked Jimmy.

But, it wasn’t all smooth sailing at the Perfect Match finale as Hashim revealed that he and Ally had gotten intimate the night Jimmy left. Luckily, Jimmy took it in his stride and the pair seemed to leave the reunion together.

Are Ally and Jimmy still together since filming Perfect Match?

No they’re not. Jimmy and Ally told Netflix’s Tudum that they dated after filming finished, and Jimmy even visited Ally in Los Angeles a few times, but they ultimately realised they weren’t ready to commit.

“He had just moved to Miami, and remember, he’s fresh out of the glow up, so he was having fun,” Ally told the publication. “I wasn’t ready to really date either. I feel like it was one of those things where we knew, but we didn’t want to admit it, and we did like each other.”

During the finale, viewers saw Hashim tell the rest of the cast that he and Ally got “intimate” in bed the night before, claiming he was simply looking out for Jimmy by sharing the information. Ally said she was a “mess” and “embarrassed” that Hashim shared their private information, and said Jimmy didn’t take it well.

“He just freaked out,” she says. “I’m pretty sure he walked off and said, ‘That’s not my match.’ I think that’s where the show is interesting because he always got to be open and do what he wanted, and I thought we were on the same page there.”

But, Ally said she “got over it” and is on fine terms with both the men now, but she’s not actively looking for a boyfriend.

“I’d rather be working or being with my friends, but Perfect Match did help me not be so scared of dating and putting myself out there. I think the time will come when I’m ready to get back on the horse.”

Throughout the season, Ally and Jimmy posted a lot of content together on social media, seemingly suggesting that the two could have rekindled their spark.

Most recently, Ally and Jimmy have consistently been liking each other’s photos and leaving supportive comments. On Ally’s Instagram, she’s uploaded multiple Reels of herself making funny TikToks with Jimmy. Then on Jimmy’s page, he’s got even more silly TikToks, along with Instagram carousels that feature Ally heavily.

Then, during a May 2026 appearance on the Scheananigans podcast, Ally openly gushed about how much she liked Jimmy’s energy. Sure, they’re contractually obligated to keep their status under wraps until the finale airs, but all signs point to Ally and Jimmy potentially going the distance.

Ally did speak about one ‘annoying’ trait of Jimmy’s in an interview.

“I’m such a lover girl, but I also am a Capricorn, and I will close off my emotions,” she previously told Tudum. “[Because he had] already been on a dating show, I think Jimmy was good at getting me to open up, as much as it sometimes annoyed me.”

But overall, Ally only said positive things about Jimmy, which seemed to suggest they’re still together. “We kept matching, and over time I realised, ‘Oh, wait, I actually like him’,” she reflected. In a video Jimmy posted answering questions about their relationship, Ally admitted she was the one who said “I love you” first.

Alas, as we know now, Ally and Jimmy aren’t together after all.
