Gia Fleur and Scott McCristal‘s relationship may have come to a dramatic end on Married at First Sight (MAFS), but — like many toxic relationships — it apparently carried on after filming wrapped on the show. An insider close to production told Chattr that Gia packed up her things and moved to the Gold Coast with her daughter so that she could be with Scott.
“She completely uprooted her and her daughter’s lives, and they moved to the Gold Coast not long after filming wrapped, even though he didn’t want her,” the insider dished. “She moved into an apartment of her own. He didn’t even know that she was there, even though her intention was to win him back.”
The insider explained that Gia eventually told Scott she was living in the same city after she’d settled in and convinced him to meet up with her.
“After a while, Scott agreed to meet up with her, and they ended up catching up over coffee together. While they were there Gia was like, ‘Let’s have sex. I miss you.’ And Scott agreed. So they organised this little sex date and made a time for it and everything, but then fifteen minutes before she was meant to go to his house, he cancelled on her,” the source claimed.
They went on to say that Gia was furious about Scott calling it off and said that their relationship was completely done.
“She moved back to Melbourne not too long after, and she and Scott stopped talking. They were done, done after that.”
“Gia was certain that Scott would leave the experiment with her when she asked him, right before Final Vows. When he didn’t and they broke up she’d realised her plan hadn’t worked out, so she had to go grovelling after him.”

Is Gia returning for the final MAFS Dinner Party?
Yes, both Gia and Scott will be back for the final Dinner Party, and it looks as though they’ll be bringing the drama!
A promo clip released by Nine shows Gia screaming across the dinner table, saying that the other participants “don’t know everything”, with an upset Scott responding, saying, “I know more than you think”, before exclaiming that he was done (again).
However, viewers shouldn’t expect Gia and Scott to kiss and make up, as our source has assured us that the couple don’t make Final Vows.
But their drama clearly doesn’t end there. Gia and Scott are both set to return for the Reunion, and something tells us they won’t be going out quietly.
Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2026 airs Sunday – Tuesday on Channel 9 and 9Now.
