At the beginning of the season, Gia Fleur and Scott McCristal were going from strength to strength in the Married At First Sight (MAFS) experiment, quickly becoming one of the show’s strongest couples.
They’re both confident people who are looking for a partner who can keep up with their fast-paced lives, so, on paper, they’re a perfect match.
However, they’ve been wrapped up in a lot of the drama, and their relationship soured towards the end of the show, before Gia stormed out of the experiment and Scott decided to stay. But, did they actually stay together after the show?
Because MAFS 2026 was filmed back in July, Gia and Scott already know the answer to this question. However, for all your spoiler lovers out there, we’ve put together everything we know about whether Gia and Scott are still together in real life.

Are Scott and Gia still together IRL?
Scott and Gia aren’t meant to share their relationship status until after the Reunion, to avoid spoiling things for viewers. However, Gia has done a terrible job of that, and dropped spoiler after spoiler that she and Scott aren’t together.
Read on to find out all the clues the couple have revealed so far.
Source claims Gia moved to the Gold Coast in the hope of being with Scott
An insider has told Chattr that after Gia and Scott broke up on MAFS, she actually moved to the Gold Coast in the hope of being with him.
“She completely uprooted her and her daughter’s lives, and they moved to the Gold Coast not long after filming wrapped, even though he didn’t want her,” the insider claimed. “She moved into an apartment of her own. He didn’t even know that she was there, even though her intention was to win him back.”
“After a while, Scott agreed to meet up with her, and they ended up catching up over coffee together. While they were there Gia was like, ‘Let’s have sex. I miss you.’ And Scott agreed. So they organised this little sex date and made a time for it and everything, but then fifteen minutes before she was meant to go to his house, he cancelled on her,” they added.
The source said that Gia was extremely mad that Scott cancelled, and things were completely over between them from then on.
“She moved back to Melbourne not too long after, and she and Scott stopped talking. They were done, done after that.”
“Gia was certain that Scott would leave the experiment with her when she asked him, right before Final Vows. When he didn’t and they broke up she’d realised her plan hadn’t worked out, so she had to go grovelling after him.”

Insider reveals when and why Scott and Gia leave MAFS
An Insider has revealed that Scott and Gia had a huge fight and quit the experiment right before the end.
“Gia and Scott, don’t make it to Final Vows,” an insider told us. “They quit after the Grass is Greener challenge (which airs on Monday, March 30).”
The source added that, while the task played a role in the couple’s breakup, their foundation was already fractured.
“They had some turmoil over her flirting during the Grass is Greener challenge, and that played into it why they left. But, there were so many other factors that contributed,” they explained.
“It wasn’t just the flirting, it was also the excess photos [of his ex] on his phone. It’s like, because Gia kept leaving and being like, ‘Come with me, Scott’. But he didn’t want to leave. He wanted to stay in the experiment. They were already in a rocky place, but the Grass is Greener challenge was the catalyst.”
Scott confirms that he and Gia are over
As if Gia’s spoilers all season long weren’t enough to make it clear that the couple are completely done, Scott revealed their relationship status in a rogue interview.
“I won’t talk to her ever again,” he told Daily Mail Australia. “Never. I’ve never made contact with that woman again, and I never will.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Scott claimed that he and Gia had savage fights when the cameras weren’t rolling.
“You can only imagine what happens off camera,” he told the publication.
“She just comes at me, throws me under the bus, calls me fake, belittles me, calls me names,” Scott added. “It was every night. No matter what I said or did, I was in trouble.”
Gia says Scott ‘ghosted’ her after filming wrapped
An explosive selfie video shared by Instagram account MAFS Gossip shows Gia calling Scott out for word choice errors while doing a radio interview, as well as for mentioning how her daughter is doing. In the clip, Gia claimed that Scott never cared about her daughter when they split up after filming, adding that he ghosted her.
“So how about we do radio interviews about that and getting education back on track, then worrying about what the f**k my daughter’s doing? Because let me tell you, she’s so good, she’s great, and you never cared when we broke up. You never cared at all. You literally ghosted me after the show because there was no more cameras. So why don’t you shut up?” She said.
Gia also claimed that she has been banned from doing publicity interviews for Channel 9, and explained that she didn’t attend the filming of Stan’s After The Dinner Party because she was in hospital. She went on to confirm that she’s in love with her new boyfriend, Alan.
” I actually am in love and in the best relationship I’ve ever been in my life. It’s not a fleeing, it’s not just a whatever. It’s like the best relationship I’ve ever been in my life.”
Gia appears to hard-launch new relationship with former reality star
On March 7, Woman’s Day shared photos of Gia getting cosy with former Love Triangle Season 2 star Alan Wallace, which were reportedly taken last month. In the pics, Gia can be seen with her leg in Alan’s lap and her hand wrapped tightly around his neck.
Sources told the publication that Gia and Alan had been dating exclusively since last year, after she was introduced to Alan through a mutual friend. The source added that they met with Gia was still filming, but said her relationship with Scott was “dead and buried” by that point.
Insider claims Scott was sending flirting messages with his ex while on MAFS
Things took a sharp turn for Scott and Gia’s relationship after she discovered old photos of his ex on his phone and threatened to quit the experiment altogether.
While Scott insisted in a producer-led interview that nothing romantic was going on with his ex, an insider has since claimed otherwise.
“He had like 20 to 30 photos of her naked or in lingerie, and him in the photos with lingerie looking like OnlyFans content together, and despite Gia giving him a chance to delete them, he refused to,” they claimed.
“The photos were very provocative and explicit. They weren’t just normal photos on a holiday or something. It was really raunchy photos,” they added.
The source went on to allege that Scott was in touch with her ex while filming MASF.
“Gia discovered that Scott was sending flirty texts to his ex around the same time, and the messages dated all the way back to their honeymoon, where he was telling her about the wedding, which really upset Gia,” the insider claimed.
After accusations that messy, it’s safe to say their happily ever after might already be off the table.
Gia still has her matching tattoo with Scott
Scott and Gia got matching tattoos in a recent episode, and in an interview with Chattr, she revealed that she was still wearing the tattoo proudly and hadn’t had it lasered off.
“I do still have my tattoo,” she said, suggesting that the couple may still be together IRL.
Gia says she and Scott aren’t a good match
Gia didn’t sound too fond of Scott during an early-season interview with Chattr, telling us that she doesn’t think they’re a good match.
“I don’t think I’ve really got exactly what I asked for, if I’m being honest. I asked for someone who’s like a tradie who drinks beer. I said, I don’t care if he’s ugly, has a gut and is bald, because I want someone I care more about their insides and how they look,” she explained.
“I don’t want a dumb, hot guy. This is what I asked for, I said, I want someone that compliments me, makes me feel safe and reassured and has his shit together. And also, like a manly, alpha sort of man that will protect me.”
“I mean, at the wedding I poured a wine, and he was like, I don’t drink. And I was like, oh, okay, that’s interesting. And then he’s got a lot with his 4am and his 70 supplements a day, he’s very regimented. And I’m not really like that. I’ll have a burger any day. I’m not that healthy. I just like to enjoy my life. So there were a couple of things that I was like, Oh, I’ll see how that works.”
A source told Chattr Gia and Scott broke up at the end of the experiment
A source told Chattr that the couple made it far in the experiment, but only because he apparently strung her along so he could get more airtime.
“He only talks to one person from the show now, and at the last Dinner Party, he said he was too good for everyone and that they’re beneath him,” our source spills. “He said to his wife on camera that she wasn’t his calibre.”
The insider added that Scott’s went on MAFS to help his business career with a new venture he’s planning on launching soon. However, despite Scott’s apparent less-than-genuine intentions, the source said that he’ll receive a good edit because he’s a “producer puppet”.
“He does a lot wrong, but he gets away with everything and gets a great edit,” the insider alleges. “He was a production kiss ass, buying them coffee and doing so much. He was going above and beyond, and they’ve really taken to him and Luke Fourniotis.”
While Gia and Scott may not get their happily ever after, it sounds like their storyline will deliver plenty of jaw-dropping drama, and honestly, we’ll be glued to the TV.
Married at First Sight (MAFS) 2026 airs Monday – Thursday at 7:30pm this week on Channel 9 and 9Now.
