  • MAFS' Stella has spoken exclusively to Chattr about feeling humiliated by her ex Filip's controversial social media videos, saying his views don't reflect her beliefs.
  • Stella admitted it was confronting to hear such different opinions from someone she once loved and planned to build a family with.
  • Their former podcast co-host Scott Taylor has also criticised Filip's recent content, describing it as concerning and a stark contrast to the values Filip previously discussed on Love, Life and Lie Detectors.
  • Scott confirmed he and Stella plan to continue the podcast without Filip, revealing that their previous discussions about its future have now changed.

Married At First Sight Australia (MAFS) couple Filip Gregov and Stella Mickunaite’s relationship may have ended, but the drama certainly hasn’t.

The pair, who tied the knot on the reality dating experiment, continued their romance long after filming wrapped and even launched a podcast called Love, Life and Lie Detectors alongside Behavioural Scientist and Combined Communications Specialist, Scott Taylor.

However, earlier this year, the former couple announced they had called it quits, and Filip has since raised eyebrows with a series of increasingly controversial videos shared on social media, including comments about a supposed “war on men”.

“The most dangerous kind of man is one that can’t be controlled, that stands up for what he believes in, who is very, very intentional,” he says in one video.

“There is a war on men. Their attention, their sexual attention, their financial direction, what their place is in relationships… I went through this, I said I wasn’t going to talk about it but I’m going to talk about it. Have standards for yourself and a list of non-negotiable.”

He went on to say that men shouldn’t have to help around the house.

“The amount of home work that I see guys get given on top of all the other bullsh*t they have to do. They come home and have to put up with all these tasks,” he added.

Now, Stella has broken her silence on the videos, exclusively telling Chattr that watching someone she once planned a future with express such vastly different views has been a confronting experience.

Scott has also weighed in on Filip’s recent content, admitting he’s concerned by the apparent shift in his former podcast co-host’s messaging.

MAFS’ Stella says Filip’s videos left her feeling ‘humiliated’

Taking to her social media, Stella threw shade at Filip with a video captioned: “So unfair my ex gets to say they dated me and I gotta admit I dated them. Shall I say humiliating.”

Stella has now spoken exclusively to Chattr about the video and her thoughts on Filip’s rebrand.

“When I said I felt humiliated, I meant how confronting it is to hear views I deeply disagree with from someone I once loved and imagined a future with,” she told Chattr.

“Statements such as ‘there is a war on men’ do not reflect my beliefs.”

The former MAFS bride also admitted that the situation had forced her to reflect on some of the decisions she made during their relationship.

“Some of that pain comes from recognising moments when I overrode my intuition because I wanted to believe in our love,” she explained.

However, Stella was also careful to point out that she doesn’t believe Filip’s recent videos necessarily represent the entirety of the person she once knew.

“Those videos don’t reflect the whole person I knew,” she said.

“Across four episodes of Love, Life and Lie Detectors, I saw someone thoughtful, hopeful and capable of being a positive influence.

“That was the man I loved and proudly stood beside as I prepared to leave my life in Sydney and build a family together.”

Oof.

MAFS podcast co-host Scott Taylor says Filip’s content is ‘concerning’

Scott, who co-hosted Love, Life and Lie Detectors with the former couple, has also shared his thoughts on Filip’s recent social media activity.

Speaking to Chattr, Scott said he had been in contact with Stella and confirmed the pair were planning to continue the podcast together.

However, he admitted that Filip’s recent videos had left him concerned.

“Now having seen the content that Filip has been sharing, I think it’s concerning at a number of levels,” he said.

Scott explained that the messaging was particularly surprising given the conversations they had shared during their podcast recordings, where Filip had previously spoken about the importance of healthy relationships, respect and emotional maturity.

“He’s completely flipped on all the things that he said that he valued himself,” Scott said.

He also recalled Filip previously discussing how he modelled his approach to relationships on his parents, and wanted to create a dynamic where both partners felt respected and supported.

“That’s somebody changing, in essence, part of their moral fibre and who they are and who they model themselves on. So I find that quite disturbing,” Scott added.

The podcast host was particularly taken aback by the language Filip has recently been using about men and the idea of a war against them.

Scott suggested there could be several explanations for the shift, including a change in Filip’s genuine beliefs or an attempt to attract attention online.

However, he made it clear that he couldn’t know what was motivating the videos.

“I don’t believe the things that you’re seeing there now is truly him,” he said.

“I think sadly he’s sharing some things now for some sensationalistic stuff and to try and get a bit more attention.”

Scott also suggested Filip’s recent content was a significant departure from the conversations they had shared about mental health and personal development.

He claimed Filip had previously positioned himself as an advocate for mental health and life balance, making the contrast particularly jarring.

Will Scott, Filip and Stella still be working together?

Scott also revealed there had been conversations about the future of Love, Life and Lie Detectors before Filip’s recent content emerged.

However, those plans have now changed.

“There were conversations about the future of the podcast, but that has obviously changed,” he explained.

“Now we know some of the reasons why. Obviously, there’s a different path that he’s taking, and to be honest, with the sort of stuff he’s putting in now, not a path that I’d want to be walking beside with you anyway.”

As for Stella, Scott confirmed they were already discussing plans to keep the podcast going without Filip.

“We’ve been speaking about it,” he said.

Scott also explained that his own experiences have shaped his interest in conversations around safety, confidence and healthy relationships.

He revealed he grew up with elements of family violence and now works across different sectors delivering training around self-awareness and confidence.

“Some of the things Filip has said, because it’s such disparity to what he said before, but it also just doesn’t align with what I am,” he said.

While Scott was careful not to claim he knew exactly what was behind Filip’s apparent change in direction, he said the contrast between the former podcast conversations and the videos being shared now was difficult to ignore.

And with Stella and Scott seemingly ready to take Love, Life and Lie Detectors in a new direction, it sounds like this particular MAFS chapter is well and truly closed.
