  • MAFS star Bec Zacharia has revealed her dramatic health and fitness transformation, saying she's finally proud of the woman she sees in the mirror after years of hard work.
  • Speaking exclusively to Chattr, Bec said her journey has been about improving both her physical and mental wellbeing, stressing that her post wasn't about suggesting smaller bodies are more worthy.
  • After receiving messages accusing her of editing her transformation photos, Bec shared an old video on Instagram Stories to prove the images were genuine.
  • The reality TV star also hit back at the criticism, saying the hate only motivates her to keep becoming "the best version" of herself.

Married At First Sight (MAFS) star Bec Zacharia is opening up about her health and fitness journey, revealing a transformation she says goes far beyond physical appearance.

Sharing a side-by-side comparison on Instagram, Bec reflected on the personal growth she’s experienced, explaining that her journey has been built on consistency, discipline and learning to appreciate herself.

“A lot can change when you finally decide to show up for yourself,” she wrote to her followers.

“This transformation is so much more than what you can see in these photos. It’s the consistency, the discipline, the hard days, the growth and learning to be proud of myself.

“For the first time in a long time, or even ever, I can look at my reflection and genuinely feel proud of the woman looking back at me. Not because she’s perfect but because I know how much it took to become her.”

Bec says the transformation is about confidence, not perfection

Speaking exclusively to Chattr, Bec said she decided to share her story because she wanted to celebrate how far she’s come, both mentally and physically.

“I have chosen to share my transformation because I’m genuinely proud of how far I’ve come and the work I’ve put into myself… both physically and mentally,” she said.

“My body isn’t perfect. I still have loose skin and things I could pick apart if I chose to but I’m FINALLY at a point where I can look at my reflection and appreciate it rather than criticise it.”

Bec stressed that her post wasn’t intended to suggest that losing weight makes someone more worthy.

“The post was never about saying smaller suddenly makes someone worthy. It’s simply me acknowledging my own journey,” she explained.

“I’ve worked incredibly hard to get to where I am today and I think we should be allowed to celebrate ourselves and our progress without being ashamed of where we started.

“I’m proud of the woman in both photos but choosing to celebrate myself today and the hard work it’s taken me to invest in myself as I will continue to do so.”

Bec responds to claims her photos were edited

Sadly, not everyone was convinced by Bec’s transformation, with some followers allegedly messaging her to accuse her of editing the photos.

The former MAFS bride quickly shut down the speculation by sharing an older pic of herself on Instagram Stories, writing that it was further proof her transformation was genuine.

“To the people in my DMs saying the second image on my post is edited… please see above yet another big Beccy Piccy for your reference,” she wrote.

She also had a message for those leaving negative comments, adding: “And FYI your hate fuels me to be the best version of myself every day.”

Despite the criticism, Bec says she’s choosing to focus on how far she’s come rather than outside opinions, celebrating a journey that she says has been just as much about improving her mindset as it has been about changing her body.
