MAFS 2027
  • A MAFS 2027 couple has reportedly been removed from the experiment at a commitment ceremony despite both partners writing 'stay'.
  • Byron Bay groom Wintah Cunnington is already making headlines, with reports of a disagreement over the show's non-legally binding marriages and allegations he's been messaging other brides.
  • Former Love Island Australia star Zac Nunns is reportedly joining MAFS 2027 as an intruder groom, where he'll be matched with TikTok influencer Vanilla Milla.
  • Zac's wedding reception allegedly descended into chaos, while 2026 groom Chris Nield was reportedly banned from attending because producers wanted to keep previous contestants away from the current cast.

If there’s one thing we can count on, it’s that Married At First Sight (MAFS) never needs to wait until premiere night to deliver the drama.

And while we’re still eagerly counting down to the 2027 season, it seems the experiment is already well and truly underway behind the scenes, with some seriously juicy details emerging about what’s in store.

From a controversial groom who’s reportedly causing a stir before he’s even walked down the aisle to a shock couple exit and a familiar reality TV face joining the cast, there’s already plenty to unpack.

Season 14 hasn’t even hit our screens yet, but if the early reports are anything to go by, the experts might have their work cut out for them.

Here’s everything we know about Married At First Sight 2027 so far.

A MAFS 2027 couple has reportedly been kicked out of the experiment

Just when we thought we’d seen it all, MAFS 2027 is reportedly delivering one of the show’s most unexpected twists.

According to production insiders, one couple was given their marching orders at a commitment ceremony just weeks before the experiment was due to wrap up.

The particularly surprising part? Both participants reportedly wrote ‘stay’ and had no idea they were about to be sent packing.

Apparently, relationship expert John Aiken delivered some seriously tough feedback before informing the pair that their time on the show was over, claiming the experts could no longer help them.

“They both wrote stay. They weren’t expecting to leave,” an insider told Daily Mail Australia.

“John absolutely tore strips off them before telling them they were done. There was no negotiating it.”

The decision reportedly followed ongoing tensions between the couple and production, with insiders claiming the pair had been difficult to manage behind the scenes.

But here’s where things get interesting: despite their shock departure, the couple are reportedly still together!

In fact, they’re said to be making plans for their future, including potentially moving to the same state.

“They’re already talking about the future and making plans to live in the same state,” the source claimed.

We’re not sure what went down to warrant such a dramatic exit, but it’s certainly an unconventional way to leave the experiment!

MAFS groom Wintah Cunnington is already making headlines

Every season needs a controversial groom, and it sounds like 2027’s Wintah Cunnington is already positioning himself as one to watch.

The 29-year-old Byron Bay father is reportedly entering the experiment as a celibate and deeply religious groom, having been matched with Perth-based cosmetic injector Kodie Wyatt.

However, his journey to finding love hasn’t exactly started smoothly.

According to reports, Wintah allegedly had a major reaction after discovering that the marriages on the show aren’t legally binding, with claims he attempted to withdraw from the experiment.

The groom has reportedly attracted plenty of attention for his strong beliefs and approach to relationships, although not everyone believes he’s there for the wrong reasons.

One insider told Daily Mail that Wintah isn’t motivated by fame or physical intimacy.

“He isn’t there for sex, clout, followers,” the source claimed.

“If he has a disagreement or doesn’t align he’s happy to leave the situation.”

However, other insiders have made some rather different claims about his behaviour, alleging that Wintah has been sending private messages to multiple brides while they’re still matched with their respective partners.

“Wintah will definitely be the talk of MAFS next year,” another source told the publication.

Whether he’s genuinely looking for a lifelong partner or becomes one of the season’s biggest talking points remains to be seen. Either way, we’re expecting some interesting dinner party conversations.

Love Island Australia star Zac Nunns is joining MAFS 2027

Well, here’s a crossover we didn’t necessarily have on our bingo cards!

Married At First Sight is reportedly bringing a former Love Island Australia contestant into the experiment for the first time, with Kiwi reality TV personality Zac Nunns set to join the 2027 cast.

Zac is reportedly entering the experiment as an intruder groom, where he’ll be matched with TikTok influencer Vanilla Milla.

And, naturally, it sounds like his wedding day was anything but smooth sailing.

According to Daily Mail Australia, tensions reportedly erupted at the reception, with an argument breaking out and one couple allegedly walking out early.

But there was another familiar face who reportedly wasn’t welcome at the celebrations.

Despite being close mates with Zac, 2026 groom Chris Nield was allegedly banned from attending the wedding by producers.

“They didn’t want the cast interacting with anyone from a previous season,” a source told the publication.

“Chris is close with Zac, but production was very clear that former participants weren’t to attend while the current cast was there.”

It seems producers were determined to keep the current experiment separate from previous seasons, even if that meant keeping a few reality TV friendships at arm’s length.

With a Love Island crossover, alleged behind-the-scenes feuds and a shock commitment ceremony exit already making headlines, MAFS 2027 is certainly giving us plenty to talk about.
