It seems this season of Married At First Sight (MAFS) has only just wrapped up, but we’re already getting wind of the next batch of castmates set to cause a stir in the 2027 instalment.
With the antics of the 2026 season in the rear-view (well, at least onscreen), a bunch of casting leaks in recent weeks have identified some of the brides and grooms set to undergo the MAFS experiment next year. The leaks come courtesy of some sneaky paparazzi pics capturing the 2027 weddings, with social media gossip pages also revealing who’ll be walking down the aisle when MAFS’ 14th season arrives.
Speaking of which, Channel 9 has not yet locked in a premiere date for the new season, though we do know that filming is underway and expected to continue until November of this year. Sarina Monastirli
One bride heavily rumoured to have joined the 2027 cast of MAFS is Sarina Monastirli, a Victorian woman who reportedly has a background in theatre. New Idea reports that Sarina was cast because she has a very minimal social media presence, with an insider telling the outlet that the bride “isn’t an influencer” and is “normal compared to what people expect.”
Word is that Sarina has already filmed her wedding, honeymoon, and Honesty Box episodes with her as-yet unidentified groom, whom New Idea reports is a café owner.
Kristen Goedecke
Another rumoured bride is Kristen Goedecke, an Adelaide real estate agent who was papped crying just minutes after arriving during her Sydney wedding ceremony by the Daily Mail last month. Additional details about this 2027 MAFS participant — including who she is matched with — are scarce at the time of writing, so watch this space!
Kayne Buik
Kristen has reportedly been matched with 2027 MAFS groom, Kayne Buik, who was seen at the same filmed ceremony in Sydney last month. You might remember Kayne from his previous appearance during Sam Frost’s season of The Bachelorette, or his popular TikTok page where he shares dating advice. His best advice? Find love on reality TV, I guess!
Kayne’s Bachelorette stint saw him gain the title of the ‘gimmick guy’ given his outlandish attempts to win Sam over, and insiders reckon his MAFS casting will be just as splashy. “He knows how to make people feel comfortable, but he also knows how to get attention when he wants it,” a source told the Daily Mail.
Kodie Wyatt
Also joining next year’s batch of brides is Kodie Wyatt, who is reportedly an aesthetic nurse from Perth. She was pictured shielding her face with her bouquet while filming her MAFS wedding in North Sydney last week.
Wintah Cunnington
According to the social media page MAFSGossip, Kodie is matched with Wintah Cunnington. We know few details about this groom, except for him being a coal miner from Byron Bay whom people describe as a “nice guy”.
Victoria Sellar
Victoria Sellar, a personal trainer from Melbourne, is reportedly one-half of a bisexual match set to appear on MAFS’ 2027 season. The Daily Mail reports that Victoria is a “confident and energetic” participant who is comfortable with the rest of the castmates.
Shona Marino
Flight attendant Shona Marino is said to be the bride matched with Victoria for the new season. It’s reported that both Sona and Victoria told producers they didn’t have a preference around matching with either a man or a woman, and that they discovered the same-sex pairing when filming their wedding episode.
“They were definitely the wildcard couple,” a source told the Daily Mail of Shona and Victoria. “It was the biggest gamble the experts made this season.” Here’s hoping producers don’t now cast a homophobic groom to rain on their parade!
