After two years of dating, Home and Away stars Ada Nicodemou and James Stewart have officially taken the next step; they’re engaged!
The romantic proposal video, shared to social media, showed Ada looking stunning in a beautiful red dress (perfectly timed for Valentine’s Day), while James looked sharp in a suit as he got down on one knee.
On Sunday, the couple both shared the special moment online. Ada captioned her video, “I said yes!!!” while James posted the same clip, writing, “She said yes…” with Amazed by Lonestar playing on the video, making the romantic moment even more emotional.
As the ring was placed on Ada’s finger, they were embraced by family and friends, and bystanders, with James’ daughter, Scout, was the first to congratulate the happy couple by reaching for Ada, giving her a cuddle, followed by hugging her dad, shortly after James lifted up Ada just like a pure fairytale beginning.

Within minutes, the proposal video was swarmed by Aussie celebs and Home and Away co-stars who congratulated them on social media.
“Huge congratulations to you both. Bloody wonderful.” Georgie Parker wrote.
Lynne McGranger shared her excitement on Ada’s post, commenting: “Oh my heart! So thrilled for both of you! Of course, Jimmy proposed, and you said yes … on Valentine’s Day!”
She also left a sweet message on James’ post, adding: “So so happy for you both darling!! Wishing you both every happiness under heaven!! Hope to catch up soon and check out the big rock.”
Kyle Shilling kept it simple but heartfelt with: “Congratulations, guys!”
Even the official Home and Away account added, “Of course she said yes!! BIG congrats.”
It’s clear the couple are surrounded by so much love and support from their Summer Bay family, both on and off screen, including all of us here at Chattr. We couldn’t be happier for them!
When did Ada’s and James’ love story first begin?
The couple are best known for playing Leah and Justin on the long-running Aussie drama Home and Away.
Although they had known each other for more than 25 years, it wasn’t until 2024 that their friendship blossomed into something more, with the pair beginning to see each other in a completely different light.
Rumours first swirled around Anzac Day in 2024 that they had started dating, but it wasn’t until August that year that they officially debuted their relationship on the red carpet at the Logie Awards.
