The drama well and truly kicked off during Episode 5 of Farmer Wants a Wife (FWAW), when Miranda confronted Maya for telling Farmer Zac‘s sister about the nasty comments she’d made about her behind her back.
ICYMI, shortly after Jessica decided to leave the farm in Episode 4, Maya pulled Farmer Zac to see how he was feeling. Miranda wasn’t happy about it, branding Maya “desperate” and accusing her of “trying to force a non-existent connection.” In Episode 5, Grace told Maya what Miranda had said about her, and Maya warned Farmer Zac’s twin sister Isabelle.
“There has been a few overlapping moments with Miranda, she is, I love her, but she’s very materialistic, and I think she said a few things like I need my man to be able to give me what I want when I want it, type of thing and I can see that Zac is so genuine and there’s a few things like that that just worry me,” Maya told Isabelle.
After Isabelle confronted Miranda over the comments she’d made, Miranda lashed out at Maya, screaming at her in the middle of the pub and claiming that she’s jealous. Looking back at Miranda’s savage reaction over comments she’d said behind Maya’s back, Maya told Chattr that watching the mean things that Miranda has said about her play out on TV felt like a “kick to the guts”.
“It was a hard watch, to be honest. Look, I don’t agree with talking behind other people’s backs, but it was in that moment, and that was exactly how Miranda was feeling and thinking, so you know, I can’t tell her what to think and feel and I’ve moved on from it, and so, yeah, it was obviously a hard watch,” she said.
“Look, it’s a bit of a kick to the guts, but I’ve moved on from, I guess, the whole show, and that was so long ago now, and so I just kind of brushed it off a little bit.”
Maya added that when she and Miranda first met they got along, but she said it was instantly obvious that they weren’t similar.
“We got along [at first], I think that we did. Actually, we had a lot to talk about, but I do think that we are very different personalities and different people in general, and so I knew that we weren’t going to be the closest in the house, but I had nothing bad to say about her,” she said.
Maya added that while the whole situation with Miranda was extremely confronting, she was really grateful that Izzy called Miranda out on her behaviour.
“She had individual conversations with all of us, so I definitely think that it was nice to see that she saw a little bit of my side,” she said.
“Izzy is, well, I guess it makes sense being the twin with Zac. They are just both very bubbly, beautiful people, and so there was no doubt in my mind that I wouldn’t get along with Izzy, and she’s also just so stunning, and so yeah, we got along like a house on fire.”

Maya is grateful that Grace told her what Miranda said behind her back on Farmer Wants a Wife
After taking some time to think about the harsh comments Miranda made about Maya, Grace decided to pull her aside and tell her what was said. Maya told Chattr that she believes Grace told her from a place of friendship, and she’s grateful for her doing so.
“I’m glad that Grace was open and honest with me, as I would for her. We had a good friendship at the farm, and so I am very grateful for what Grace told me, because I wouldn’t want to be made to look like a bit of an idiot if I didn’t know what was going on behind my back, but I am very happy that Grace told me, and then you know I was then able to take it on board and kind of take it off Grace’s plate as well,” she said.

Maya added that she believes there was absolutely no ulterior motive to Grace telling her about the remarks.
“I definitely think it came from a good place that Grace told me, and she seems to be upset when she tells me, and so it’s not an easy thing for her to say as well to me. So I definitely think that it was with my best interests in mind.”
