With Colin winning over fans for his loveable personality, and Holly not quite winning over fans at all, the unlikely romantic pairing have caught the eyes of everyone watching with many speculating Holly may be using Colin for all of the wrong reasons.
First up, why aren’t people liking Big Brother’s Holly?
With Big Brother promising to go back to its roots and show everyday Aussies this season, people were immediately and maybe unfairly put off by Holly being a model/influencer, believing she was going on the show for fame.
This wasn’t helped when she used her entrance into the house to name-drop the fashion brands she was wearing.
Things went from bad to worse when Holly got into a heated discussion with fellow housemate Aboila, saying that ‘pretty privilege’ doesn’t exist, and tried to argue pretty people have it just as hard in life that those who aren’t as conventionally good-looking. Instead of listening to Abiola’s point of view, Holly started listing the ways being attractive came with its own issues, with many fans of the show calling her out for being defensive and self-centered.

What is going on between Big Brother’s Holly and Colin and why do viewers think she’s being disingenuous?
The 10-year age gap between the pair has fans questioning Holly’s motives, as Holly, 31, and Colin 21, get closer in the house.
The two hit it off early, with Colin gravitating towards Holly and offering her the clothes off his back while waiting for their suitcases to arrive.
Fans of Big Brother have their suspicions that Holly is using Colin as a gameplay to be able to remain in the house, as Colin is already an early fan favourite.
The two shared their first kiss recently, but there was also another scene that caused fans to question Holly’s motives.
When someone on TikTok uploaded a video of Holly and Colin snuggling, they wrote: ‘I think it’s just a proximity crush, but why are they so cute?’
However, other fans quickly pointed out Holly was staring at the camera before realising it was on her, and pulling Colin in close for a hug.

“She knows exactly what she is doing. She has absolutely no interest in him romantically, but is leading him on so bad,” one person commented on TikTok, with someone else agreeing, “She’s using him as a safety card. It’s clear as day.”
“She’s definitely performing because she thinks the public will like Colin. She’s kinda dug herself a grave though, so far,” another person speculated.
With Holly up for elimination this week, we’ll have to wait and see if this one will be a Big Brother love story for the ages!
