Big Brother Australia has returned to its roots in 2025, with live nominations, live eliminations and a 24/7 live stream.
The casting team has also taken a different route from the most recent season, which was littered with single 20-somethings not opposed to striking up a romance. Instead, this season’s cast is a varied bunch, with ages ranging from 21 to 67, and includes an MMA fighter, a disability advocate, and a social worker.
On the premiere night of Big Brother 2025, host Mel Tracina introduced 12 housemates to Australia and then tasked them with voting for the 13th, who would enter the house the following night. Grandma of four, Jane or 36-year-old straight-shooting Mitch. Jane was chosen by the country, but whether it’s the last we’ll see of Mitch, we’ll just have to wait and see.
