Alissa and Gia on MAFS

The past week has seen a ‘leaked text’ storyline play out on Married at First Sight (MAFS) 2026, which involves ‘vile’ messages sent between Bec Zacharia and Gia Fleur about Alissa Fay and David Momoh. However, a lot of viewers actually found out about the texts weeks ago, because they were leaked to the media, allegedly by Gia.

In an interview with Chattr, Alissa slammed Gia for spoiling the storyline for viewers, accusing her of doing so to spin the narrative in her favour.

“It’s just Gia doing Gia s**t,” Alissa said. “She just can’t help herself. She’s got a big mouth. She’s a master manipulator, and she’s just ruined a lot of storylines for a lot of people, and she’s only thinking about herself and trying to save herself, and she’s just selfish.”

Alissa added that while Gia will likely be remembered once MAFS 2026 wraps, it may not be in the way she’d hoped.

“This girl’s gonna be remembered for all the bad things. She’s not going to be iconic. She’s going to be remembered for all the bad s**t she did.”

David questions Gia’s motives for joining MAFS following message leak

David echoed Alissa’s sentiments, questioning why Gia would leak information to the media and spoil the show for viewers, even questioning her motive for going on the show in the first place.

“I don’t know what her intentions were with the experiment. It’s pretty obvious, she had other intentions, because there was no need for her to go taking these text messages and selling them,” he told Chattr.

“I have no idea what her actual intentions were. I know Scott’s a great guy, and I think he was there for the right reasons, but it’s making me question what her intentions were this whole time.”

“I think maybe Gia is trying to save herself at this point.”

Married at First Sight (MAFS) 2026 airs Sunday – Wednesday this week on Channel 9 and 9Now.
