Things got seriously petty on The Block on Wednesday night as Jolene’s frustration with Chantel and Wyatt’s cleanliness finally boiled over. That’s sharehouses, hey!
The drama began after Jolene repeatedly noticed the pair leaving dirty dishes around and rarely helping with clean-up after family dinners, so she decided to make her feelings known. She left Chantel’s bowl of old chocolate oats on the bench, alongside an unsigned note telling her to clean up after herself. Oop!
Chantel and Wyatt were unimpressed when they discovered the message. Wyatt initially hit back by sticking his own NSFW note on the fridge reading: “Please eat my a**”, complete with a smiley face.
Chantel quickly decided that probably wasn’t the best response and replaced Wyatt’s message with a much more diplomatic note, but not before viewers caught a glimpse of the crude message.
“Jolene had every right to ask them to wash their bowls,” wrote a viewer on X. “For them to write, eat my a**, as a response is so bloody childish.”
“Chantel and Wyatt think they’re hilarious, don’t they?” added another. “Okay, Wyatt we get you are 12 years old,” wrote a third.
After the incident, Chantel then went looking for the mystery note’s author. Jolene initially denied it, but Adam eventually claimed responsibility on her behalf and told Chantel she needed to contribute more around the shared house.
But there was another moment that raised eyebrows: along with the note, Jolene also took aim at Wyatt by dumping some of his protein powder in the bin. This has ignited furious debate online over whether this was an appropriate response.

Some of The Block’s viewers were not enthused by Jolene’s antics. On a Reddit thread, one fan said it was “wrong of Jolene” to throw out Wyatt’s expensive protein powder. “It’s not nice at all to touch someone else’s belongings but to throw out something another person has brought and paid for is really low,” they wrote.
“I couldn’t imagine doing it to anyone and I would be mortified if someone did to me.”
Another said that Jolene had crossed a line. “Whichever way you fall on who you like, people still deserve to be treated right,” they wrote.
A different viewer said that this behaviour had made them turn on Jolene. “I don’t understand why people seem to really like Jolene. I think she’s mean and is constantly putting others down,” they said.
On X, people were largely siding with Jolene, posting that they understood why she had hit her limit with the couple in the house. “Both Wyatt and Jolene are acting childish,” posted one X user.
“Wyatt and Chantel shouldn’t leave their unwashed bowls in the laundry — it’s gross,” shared another.
