Week by week, viewers will watch contestants transform different rooms in their houses as part of the renovation challenge. Once the homes are completed, they’ll go under the hammer at auction, with contestants keeping whatever amount the property sells for above the reserve price.

When does The Block 2026 start?
Whilst the official premiere date of The Block has yet to be announced, we know that, from previous years, filming typically runs for approximately three months, with the show premiering in July.
So while we don’t have a confirmed date just yet, it likely won’t be too long before the renovation series is back on our screens — stay tuned!
Who’s in The Block 2026 cast?
The cast is yet to be confirmed by Channel Nine, however, Woman’s Day have shared some footage of the cast arriving on site for their first day, which you can peep below.
Where is The Block 2026 filmed?
The Block has officially started filming for its 2026 season, and this year it’s in a new location: the seaside suburb of Mount Eliza on the Mornington Peninsula, about 48 kilometres south-east of Melbourne’s CBD.
Mount Eliza is a family-oriented coastal suburb with a population of around 19,000 people. For the 2026 season, contestants will be renovating homes located on the same street at 109 Old Mornington Road, a spot that overlooks the bay with Melbourne’s skyline visible in the distance.
