Congrats are in order for The Block 2025 favourites Emma and Ben, who have wrapped up a two-year house renovation journey in Victoria and officially sold the home they’ve poured their hearts into.

“SOLD! Chapter 3 (almost) closed. Huge thank you to our incredible friend and agent, Jarrod from Carman Real Estate,” Emma and Ben wrote alongside a photo of them standing in front of a For Sale sign with their baby Bailey.

Immediately after announcing the sale of their house, Emma told Chattr.

“[We’re] so happy to see all our hard work pay off. Excited for the next adventure!” She said.

She added that although the renovations took longer than she and Ben expected, they’re so happy with how the house turned out.

“We are super proud of the completed reno. It was a huge task that we tackled together. We also had help from family and friends along the way,” Emma said.

The mum of one explained that while their most recent flip was gruelling, the pressure that comes with The Block is on an entirely different level.

“Nothing compares to the challenge of The Block. However, every Reno presents its own challenges. Maybe nothing as crazy as a 12 week timeframe. But there was definitely blood, sweat and tears that went into this renovation.”

After two years of renovating the property — with The Block reno thrown in the middle — Emma and Ben are taking a minute to relax. But, in an interview the day before their house sold, Emma said she and Ben will be back on the tools as soon as their Mornington house sells.

“We really do enjoy renovating, and we both get bored quickly, so if the house does sell, we would love to start working on another project of the DIY kind.”

Has Emma and Ben”s The Block house sold yet?

Viewers were left heartbroken after The Block fan favourites Emma and Ben failed to sell their house at the auctions and walked away with nothing. Now, three months on from the devastating result, Emma and Ben have given Chattr an update about the sale of their The Block house.

“Our Block home hasn’t sold yet,” Emma told Chattr, adding that if any readers are interested in a “stunning home in Daylesford”, then they’ve got the “perfect pick”.

Back in October, Emma and Ben’s realtor, Ray White’s Aaron Hill, said that the property had drawn strong interest since going back on the market after the auction.

Aaron told Real Estate that he had about 30 or 40 calls about the house in the weeks following the dismal auction night, pointing out that a lot of the interest came from everyday people — rather than just the usual high-net-worth buyers.

“So we are not too far away, but we’re not at $3 million,” he said at the time. “It will get there, it will just be a matter of time.”

Emma and Ben’s house had a reserve of $2.99 million, which meant whatever the house sold for over that price on auction day, the couple would get to keep. The house didn’t sell and was passed in; however, the same rules apply, so the couple naturally want the house to go for more than three million, so that they can take home some cash.

Aaron told Real Estate that while the house sale is looking promising, it doesn’t necessarily seem like Emma and Ben will be making a big sum.

”I’m just hoping we can get a little bit of money for the contestants.”

Britt and Taz believe Emma and Ben’s house will sell

During an interview with Chattr, two days after the auctions took place, The Block winners Britt and Taz said it was too soon for updates about whether Emma and Ben had interested buyers.

But they said they believe the finale would have helped generate a good outcome for the couple.

“I have no doubt they’ve got interest. I’d also say that with the three million people who watched last night — maybe more, once you include streaming — there’d be plenty who have the money and are thinking, ‘Oh geez, for $3.1 or $3.2 million, I could definitely afford that.’ And now, you know, it’s not a bidding war,” Taz said at the time.

“They will not have any issue selling that place,” he added.
