Viewers were left heartbroken after The Block fan favourites Emma and Ben failed to sell their house at the auctions, and they walked away with nothing.
However, there’s good news from the couple’s realtor, Ray White’s Aaron Hill, who says the property has drawn strong interest since going back on the market.
Aaron told Real Estate that he’s had about 30 or 40 calls about the house since the dismal auction night, pointing out that a lot of the interest has been coming from everyday people — rather than just the usual high-net-worth buyers.
“So we are not too far away, but we’re not at $3 million,” he said. “It will get there, it will just be a matter of time.”
Emma and Ben’s house had a reserve of $2.99 million, which meant whatever the house sold for over that price on auction day, the couple would get to keep. The house didn’t sell and was passed in; however, the same rules apply, so the couple naturally want the house to go for more than three million, so that they can take home some cash.
Aaron told Real Estate that while the house sale is looking promising, it doesn’t necessarily seem like Emma and Ben will be making a big sum.
”I’m just hoping we can get a little bit of money for the contestants.”

Britt and Taz believe Emma and Ben’s house will sell
During an interview with Chattr on Monday morning — two days after the auctions took place — The Block winners Britt and Taz said it was too soon for updates about whether Emma and Ben had interested buyers.
But, they said they believe the finale would have helped generate a good outcome for the couple.
“I have no doubt they’ve got interest. I’d also say that with the three million people who watched last night — maybe more, once you include streaming — there’d be plenty who have the money and are thinking, ‘Oh geez, for $3.1 or $3.2 million, I could definitely afford that.’ And now, you know, it’s not a bidding war,” Taz said.
“They will not have any issue selling that place,” he added.
