Former The Block judge Neale Whittaker has jumped ship to become a judge on Channel 7’s new reality show My Reno Rules.

My Reno Rules will be hosted by Dr. Chris Brown, and will premiere in 2026. It’ll follow four teams who will renovate two neighbouring rundown houses in Melbourne, overhauling kitchens, living areas and gardens.

Neale is heading up the judging panel alongside Julia Green, founder of Greenhouse Interiors and Simon Cohen (Dream HomeLuxe Listings Sydney), a buyer’s agent and co-founder of Cohen Handler, the largest property buyer’s agency in Australia.

‘I’m thrilled to be joining a show that will truly redefine renovation TV,” Neale said of the new gig. “Along with Simon and Julia, I get to share my experience with a new generation of Aussie renovators in one of my favourite cities.

“I can’t wait to see the creative and innovative ideas our teams bring to the competition,” he added.

Adrian Portelli is also joining My Reno Rules

Adrian Portelli, who rose to fame for buying multiple houses at The Block auctions for three years from 2022, will also be on My Reno Rules.

While Adrian’s role on the renovation show is completely clear just yet, he took to Instagram claiming it’s his “own TV show”.

The two houses that are renovated on the show will be given away to two lucky winners at the end. The live prize draw will be managed by the principal program sponsor, Adrian of LMCT+.

“LMCT+ has always been about changing the lives of everyday Australians, so when this opportunity came up with Seven, it just felt right. For me, it’s about giving back – and doing it in a way that’s big, bold and exciting,” Adrian said.

“These homes are in a beautiful area and have real potential. With the right teams and vision, they’re going to be incredible. I can’t wait to be part of a show granting lucky Aussies a brand-new future, and inspiring thousands more along the way.”

My Reno Rules will premiere in 2025 on Channel 7 and 7Plus.
