Married At First Sight (MAFS) 2026 groom Steven Danyluk has lived a few different lives; from chasing rockstar dreams to now fixing boats for a living. Once tunnel-visioned on his career and admittedly guilty of putting work first, Steven says he’s finally ready to prioritise love and find a woman who accepts him for who he truly is.
Who is Steven, and what does he do?
Steven Danyluk is a 34-year-old groom from New South Wales and a self-described goofball who loves adventure and isn’t afraid to be a little silly. According to his Channel Nine MAFS bio, he once dreamed of making it big as a rockstar, chasing the kind of fame Guns N’ Roses achieved. But life had other plans. Instead of performing on sold-out stages, Steven now rocks in a different way, fixing boats as a marine technician. Quite the pivot, right?
What is holding Steven back from finding love?
Dating has never come easy for Steven. Self-admittedly, he finds the dating world “uncompromising,” feeling that women often have a never-ending checklist; and as a result, love has yet to find its way… until now!
But if the MAFS experts have got it right this year, all of that could be about to change. Steven’s single days might be numbered… and this time, it could be for good, and gosh, we hope that this is the case for Steven.
Who is Steven’s bride-to-be, and what is he looking for?
With MAFS premiering tonight, we don’t officially know for sure, but based on photos shared by The Daily Mail and posted on the MAFS fan account, MAFS GOSSIP, it looks like Steven is to be wed to be is bride, Rachel Gilmore.
What we do know is that Steven is looking for a woman who is ambitious, easygoing, and can handle his sense of humour. Here’s hoping Rachel can take a joke or two… but we’ll find out for sure very soon!
